We arrived at check-in time at 4:00 pm and were directed to one of the buildings across the street. It had a very cramped, awkward parking lot. The room was very dirty and hadn't had maid service after the last guest. Front desk staff (Elmer) was very polite and did his best to accommodate us. There were other upset guests having similar issues. We were directed to another room but that room was also dirty and hadn't had maid service. The 3rd room we were given was fine, though it took an hour to finally get it. This was in the building by the office and parking is no problem there. The continental breakfast was fine.
We would never book this hotel again, based on this experience.

King room is small but comfortable. Little balcony, but serves its purpose, and nice to have.

Surprised we had to ask for a shower curtain, which may have been oversight from cleaning, but they quickly took care of that.

They need to develop a map for customers to get to their rooms. It's a big facility on 2 sides of the streets with 3 main buildings. Parking was limited. The breakfast was lacking compared to other Qualify Inns. There was no variety from day to day in what was served, which other Quality Inns offer. The scrambled eggs tasted like plastic. Not real eggs. Customer service in the breakfast area was also lacking. Ladies were not friendly at all. There was NO elevator on the 3rd building on Manzanita Road building. No room cleaning until the 3rd day, and that's by request only.

We felt like we were staying in a converted carport. The room was clean but so awkward. Shower in the bedroom and closet up a literal curb! Bathroom window was only ventilation in bathroom and it opened to the breezeway. Very noisy. Not the best choice in Tahoe

The room was smaller than the photos shown online. Access to the closet required me to move the night stand out of the way.
The AC unit was covered by the curtains which kept tripping the circuit breaker. There was the smell of animal urine in the hallway and room!!
There was hair and miscellaneous stains on the sheets and the bed sloped to the center. The shower curtains walls had black mold! So, we weren’t able to shower. Paint was peeling off the walls in the bedroom and bathroom and the bathroom floor had hair and miscellaneous other items pushed into the corners.
Parking was horrible.
The breakfast wasn’t set up properly.
The fresh fruits “apples/bananas”were old (soft to touch or almost completely brown).
The sausage and eggs appeared to be leftovers.
Trash was dumped on the ground.

The room was clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pool area is a nice amenity with a bbq which we used to bbq steaks and brats. Breakfast was yummy and filling. The Lakeshore beach was just ok. We didn’t care for the course hard sand and long walk through it to get to the shore. We did find Eldorado Beach a mile down the road which we didn’t have to pay to get into with a nicer sandy beach and they played live music. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Thank you Quality Inn for a relaxing mini vacation.

Had to request toilet paper at front lobby, they only left a started almost empty roll, the lady at counter said wait 10mins (busy I guess), had to find a housekeeper in the breakfast area for assistance. ***Housekeeping only available after 3days and you have to request the night before or you miss it. We were there +3days. Washer in laundry room was out of service. The door didnt close fully, make sure to pull and confirm it latched or you will come back to a wide open door. AC is the worst. Sorry but not the best experience.

The Quality Inn was very nice. It was tidy, very quiet, and walking distance to downtown South Lake Tahoe. There was a patio table and chairs outside of our room that gave us a wonderful end to our day with charcuterie and drinks that we brought with us. The breakfast was also great with pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a variety of breads, cereals and yoghurts.

Hallway carpet that was dirty & threadbare. Barking dog in the room next door. Barking dog in the hallway. Only two ice machines to service the entire property that only worked intermittently. Opened the cramped balcony to a slew of tree branches that stifled ANY view whatsoever.
The owner is obviously funneling off all the profits rather than reinvesting in the property located in a popular tourist destination. It does look as though it may have gotten an exterior paint job about three years ago. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!!

It was our first time staying there. Check in went smoothly. I had already booked with Hotels.com.
We were an hour early and the clerk let us check in early.
Upon entering the room it was very dated. The paint was peeling off the walls especially in the bathroom. The bedspread had stains on them. The people next door came in around 10pm that night and woke us up. That’s how loud they were and also their room and ours had adjoining rooms. Very paper thin door between us. Will not stay here again.

Definitely recommend overall. We stayed for 3 nights and found that our king bed room with the balcony was spacious, clean, and well equipped with a mini fridge and a microwave. The free breakfast was amazing, basically anything you would go out and pay at a restaurant you had downstairs included in your stay. An added plus was the beach vouchers for the nearby private beach that you can ask for daily at the front desk.

Loud party of drunks on the patio until late at night. Out of control kids in breakfast and hot tub area. Didn’t expect to see the ghetto imported into Lake Tahoe. Not necessarily the hotels fault but if you’re looking for a nice peaceful place to stay you might check other hotels.

Room was redecorated nicely but attention to detail just was not there. Asked for room to be vacuumed and musty dust bag smell was bad. No housekeeping at all done for 3 days 2 nights. Single king bed room only had 2 skimpy bath towels 2 hand towels. Had to use both to dry off. Common areas walls, carpeting, stairs doorways were well worn and dirty. Outside was fading and peeling paint overflowing garbage cans. Who knows when windows were last washed. Outside smoking area was littered with cigarette butts. Parking was tight maneuvering and limited 3 story building was an annex across a busy street from the main hotel and breakfast area. Very busy and had to wait for tables to open up and no real clean up until end of breakfast hours. Serving counters were littered with spills, used plates crumbs waffles and syrup drippings etc. Will not consider this facility or Quality Inn brand again.

This is a serious accident waiting to happen. no anti-slip mat in shower. another accident waiting to happen. parking is terrible and cramped. elevator acted like it was going to stop between floors. breakfast was very cold. Had clearly given a note while booking that i do not wish to stay in a room with window facing another building very near by. But this was ignored. The receptionist, on talking to, was unwilling to give me another room, even for the second day of my stay. Maybe, people who book through hotels.com get fitted into the least preferred rooms. The hotel wasn't well kept too. Better to take a room in one of the well kept hotels on the main Lake Tahow strip where the casinoes are present. Good lesson to learn.

This was my wife’s and my second stay at this hotel. It’s not a luxury resort or the most expensive hotel around, but it’s comfortable, affordable, and consistently provides a great experience. One of the main reasons we came back is the beds—they are incredibly comfortable and some of the best we’ve slept on. For the price, it’s an excellent value, and we would gladly stay here again.

Five stars based on the strength of value and service. The staff were helpful and friendly, hot food on breakfast buffet was well attended and refilled. The building does show age, and wear and tear. Our amenities worked, the fridge was a bit noisy. But given the nightly price, my wife and I felt we got what we paid for and more. I'll repeat, the staff was helpful.

The room I stayed in still had carpet so it has held a lot of nasty smells. Despite it being very clean the smells are in the room. Definitely time to remove the carpets. Love that it’s pet friendly. Their bbq and relax areas are cool and pool area is nice. In a walkable area so that was super convenient and one of the perks of this location.

I saw the reviews mentioning that the continental breakfast was amazing so we were expecting something great, but sadly were disappointed. It was very limited and the hot food items (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, potatoes) were cold. When we got there it was pretty packed with people, and there wasn’t a staff actively checking if anything needed to be restocked. Mostly everything we wanted was gone so we just left and bought breakfast somewhere else.

Another thing we didn’t know was the access to the lake. You have to pay for a pass ($5 per person) to access a private beach. The private beach is super small and pretty disappointing, but there was access to water activities which we had to pay for, of course.

Overall, the hotel room was a bit small but fine for the price, plus we were there to be outdoors so it didn’t matter as much. The staff were kind, and Heavenly Village was walkable so that was nice. I would probably look for another place to stay next time we come to Lake Tahoe.

Our room ended up being at their property across the street, so we did not have a lake view or even a partial lake view. Instead, we overlooked the pool area, so we listened to kids screaming and yelling in the pool until about 10 PM. That personally did not bother us too much, but it may bother other guests looking for a quieter stay.
The biggest issue happened after we unloaded everything into our second-floor room after a long day of traveling. We noticed a huge bubble in the ceiling that was actively dripping water. Thankfully, it was not over the bed, so we did not have to pack everything back up and switch rooms. However, we did have to avoid that entire corner because the carpet was soaked, which made the already small room feel even smaller.I slept horribly because I kept worrying all night that the ceiling bubble would burst and soak all of our belongings. Thankfully, that did not happen. The nightstands also appeared to have not been wiped down from the previous guests, as there were still drink rings left on them. That immediately made us question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. The beds were also much too soft for my liking.
On the positive side, it was very quiet after 10 PM, and the staff we interacted with were nice and helpful. But overall, we were disappointed with our stay.

The breakfast was okay for what we paid. A bit unhappy about the unripe fruit and lack thereof, but there was still a decent variety.
I'm not happy about the cleanliness of the buildings themselves. On a Monday we saw a child spill syrup and on Tuesday the spill was still there. The carpets were definitely nasty and we saw quite some bugs, however we know that's not a regular housekeeping task. A cleaning crew for the hallways would go a long way. Our room was pretty clean, but it did have weird red stains/splashes on the ceiling.
Even though I'm not in love about the cleanliness of the place, I'd honestly stay again. The bedding was clean, the hot tub fully functional, fridge great, and again very kind and attentive staff!

Liked the suite hot tub . the hot tub could be tricky to get in and out of but did not have any issues. Interior of room need updates/repairs. The toilet seat is wood and has chips in it and missing the bottom stopper thing. Liked it is within walking distance of restaurants, sites, venues etc. Breakfast was ok not excellent but it was included. Would stay again if the prices is right.

When we got to the room, we noticed the beds were very small, we got a double, but the bed may have been a full? Smaller than a queen, I could reach both edges easily without stretching, im only 5'7. They were also very squeaky. The bathroom wasn't as clean as usual. The carpet was all sticky, uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. And the walls were paper thin, we could hear everything. Had to have sleep sounds on to dull out the other sounds. "Breakfast" was exactly what you'd expect.

It was conveniently located though.
