The beautiful lake view was the highlight! Nice room, has everything you need like comfy beds, good tv/wifi, and even heated toilets! I loved that they give you vouchers to visit Lakeside Beach because that saved us a lot of money. We also got a $60 food/bev credit with our stay and loved the room service breakfast. Nice size parking lot. Cute balcony to watch the view. Close enough to walk to casinos and local shops (10mins).

Beautiful property with kind and caring staff. Wonderful location with a sandy beach and a fireplace at night to stay warm. The shuttle to town is easy and the staff for it are kind and ready to help at a moment's notice. We had daily housekeeping and everything was perfect when we returned to the room each night.

I loved everything about our experience at the Landing. The room was above and beyond what I expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I loved that the resort felt tucked away from the busy Main Street and coffee, restaurants, and shops are just in walking distance. It was nice to be able to get my steps in while still having the option of using the shuttle. I hope to be able to visit again and I will always recommend this resort to family and friends.

Excellent room. Very comfy beds. Love the fireplace and the balcony with a view. The premium rooms are so much roomier and with 2 nice comfy chairs to sit in front of fireplace. The bathrooms have heated toliet seats and floors. And shower and a big jet tub
The breakfast was absolutely fabulous. Made to order omelets waffles and some pastries
The beach across street was scene wonderful.
I highly recommend you stay here

Beautiful place, amazing views and truly wonderful people that work here. Very friendly and helpful. James showed us to our room and gave us an overview of the resort. Joel really helped us out one morning when we had vehicle problems. He came to the rescue with jumper cables and we made it to our excursion on time.
Loved the beachfront view! Our room was clean, bed was very comfortable. The shower was huge and I loved the steamer.
Even the bathroom floor and toilet seat was heated!
Can’t wait to come back to this place!

I cannot speak high enough for The Landing. The views were incredible, absolutely worth every penny. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was fantastic! It was a walkable distance from the Heavenly shops and the shuttle was a lifesaver if you needed to go a little beyond walking.

The beach view was great. The room was somewhat small. Our friends had a non lake view and it was a much larger room…so keep that in mind when booking! We had 2 kids with us so a bigger room would have been nice. But it you’re alone or a couple traveling, the lake view room would be great.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The the hotel shuttle was a big help getting us around so we didn’t have to pay for rides.

We always enjoy staying at The Landing when in South Lake Tahoe. The lake views are beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet and walkable, and Heavenly Village is a 10 minute walk or free shuttle ride away. And best part… The Landing always welcomes our dog!

Very disappointed. We used to live this property as it used to allow dogs in the bar area (and we have eaten at the bar as well as the area next to it many times in the past with our dog) - unfortunately they did not allow this anymore - we therefore went to Maggie’s restaurant at the desolation hotel nearby which was perfect in allowing dogs at dinner. In the fire will book that hotel instead of the Landing.

This is my favorite hotel in Tahoe. I have stayed other places but this place tops them all for the class, food, and ambience. I had the best room with fireplace and lake view. The staff is always professional, friendly, and provide great recommendations regarding where to go. The bell and valet service are the kindest people you will met. They provide superb service and treat guest like King and Queens. I recommend this place to all my family and friends.

Great location, great views and wonderful service. Resort is steps away from the beach and a short walk(uphill!) to the center of town. Staff were engaging and provided top notch service. Restaurant has a balanced menu and the food was well prepared. We split our stay with an overnight in Yosemite allowing us to see 2 types of rooms. Both were well kept, appointed and comfortable. Pool and Hot tub were well maintained and a great break from all the hiking in the surrounding area. Will stay here again on our next trip to South Tahoe

They need to be upfront in the website what they are charging. $30 dollars for parking 😟$60 dollars for resort fee. That was not shown when total is finalized in the website. We will not go back…We will look for places that do not charge you when you’re checking in instead of being honest in their website.

Absolutely loved our stay at the landing! Mel and Jason were the best. The property was beautiful, rooms are so spacious and cozy. My only suggestion would be a fan! We wish there was a fan over the beds. But that’s a very minor issue. Definitely spend the extra for a room upgrade, we wish we would have! The view is gorgeous. The shuttle is so great, it was always available to run us into town or pick us up after dinner. We will return!

Really enjoyed staying here and felt the quality and comfort of the room and hotel in general was worth the expense. When we got to our room, Lakeside King ADA, the only accessible part was the bathroom. It was a very small room and a half closet that I could not hang my garment bag in without dragging the bathroom floor. We upgraded. We lost the Lakeview, but got a much bigger room I could roll around in. Next time we will know to request a Premier ADA room. After that everything was perfect. The staff was amazing, Jimmy's restaurant was delicious, and the MS Dixie II cruise shuttle will pick you up there. We will definitely stay there again.

My wife and I celebrated an anniversary at The Landing mid September 2025 and had an amazing time. The rooms were all excellent; the staff and concierges helpful and friendly. Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on Earth- and the Landing is right on its shores! One note of caution for couples looking for quiet/solitude: speak with a representative of the hotel before booking to make certain wedding parties are not occurring during your stay. On the other hand, if you are looking for a picturesque hotel to get married, The Landing seems an ideal spot to exchange your vows! Regardless, all around enjoyable experience. Make some memories.

Very strict with 4pm check in! When we finally got our very expensive lake view room the a/c did not work. They moved us to the only (or so they said) room available which had no lake view and after going back and forth only offered $100 credit. The rooms are thin as cardboard and we had a stomper above us. Would not stay here again.

This was for our honeymoon, and our room was stunning! Loved the bathroom and balcony we had, and the gas fireplace. It was so comfortable! We were right across from the lake and had views of the lake. The location is perfect, a short walk from the center of town, and tons to do! Staff was very nice, we also loved the onsite complimentary shuttle.

The gym definitely needs some attention. One treadmill won’t turn on the other one pieces are falling off. We had maintenance guys in there one day trying to get the air conditioners turned on. There was one waited ball that was cut open but still sitting in the stand.
