This is a nice hotel with gorgeous rooms. However, the devil is in the details and while the rooms looked beautiful, the finishes were not so good. Think a loose cable behind the head board of the bed, and I thought the half-open shoer cubicle to not be practical as the bathroom floor ot rather wet. However, the friendly staff kindly helped to bring the suitcases to the room and and was all around very helpful. The bed was comfy and had a good sleep.

For a short quick stay i think this place is reasonably to be at for a few nights. Unfortunately though I don't agree that this place is a 4star hotel but a 3star. Staff are quite friendly. Rooms have a smelly odor such as urine. The showers arent covered, water splashes everywhere especially since the water pressure is super high even the sink as well. It is a nice convenient area and if you dont mind at least a 15min walk to central world.

I honestly wish I had more good things to say about my stay with Luxx Hotel, but it was a miserable experience. While the staff was so kind and friendly, the accommodations were atrocious. There was mold all over in my hotel room and it had an accompanying smell that made it difficult to breathe normally. Additionally, the shower did not work and sprayed in three different directions. There was no noise buffer between rooms and you can easily hear people open and close their balcony door (which can be closed with a VERY loud bang that woke me up at several points each night throughout my stay). There was no AC in my room, and while it wasn’t overbearingly hot, it was not cool enough to sleep in. The WiFi was spotty and did not work so I was unable to attend work calls and as a remote worker, this was a huge problem. The hotel is down an alleyway which did not make me feel safe as a solo female traveler and the whole hotel looked just rather run down. After the first night of my stay I couldn't stand the smell and the front desk so kindly let me upgrade rooms with no charge, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the toilet had trouble flushing, there was no hot water, and the balcony didn't seal so there were mosquitos everywhere and I woke up with countless bites. I really hate to leave bad reviews, but this was truly a horrendous stay, and I would HIGHLY recommend you look for accommodations elsewhere — this is NOT a luxury hotel, and I would not stay here again.

Disappointing

Mattress way too hard.
Studio room had connecting door to adjacent studio. Was not soundproof and I heard conversations from adjacent guests as if they were inside my room.
No apology when I checked out after one of my two booked nights. I forfeited the cost of the second night to change hotels to somewhere I could sleep soundly on my final night in Bangkok before an early fight.
Have stayed here many times before for over 15 years but this was the worst stay ever.

Great for the coast and location.

Over all it was a good stay. They seemed to be having construction so there were strong smells. There were small things that needs some attention. But for the cost and location. I would stay here again. Rooms are big and the corner room had wraparound windows.

1. There is no restaurant at the hotel.
2. It has one tiny elevator.
3. There are no shower curtains around the shower and bathtub. So when you shower or bathe, you will wet the floor.

The LUXX is a really nice apartment hotel in an easy to access neighborhood. I was surprised at the size of the room, the kitchenette, and lounge space. The pool was refreshing. The hotel needs a little love, but I think it is quite suitable for a short-medium stay.

Staff was excellent and helpful. Building dated with bizarre bath tube design that allows water to escape all over the bathroom floor. Wood cabinetry badly needs refinishing. By United States standards, the interior of the room feels like it was constructed 30 years ago.

I love how simple this hotel is and the modern look and feel of this place. Very clean. The only issue was the WiFi wasn’t working through our stay. We tried bringing it up but to no avail. It didn’t bother me so much because I got a tourist sim, but otherwise it would have. Overall, really friendly staff and beautiful boutique property. I would stay again.

We had 4D3N in LUXX, basically is a picturesque and nice place to stay, the only downside is the shower water is not hot at all and we need give about 10 mins to let the cold water turn little warmer, and they do not provide hair conditioner.

I stayed here two years ago. The premises are now looking a bit shabby compared to my previous visit. Our room on the front 321 was a bit dark, not helped by the non-working light bulbs near the entrance door and bedside light that didn't work. The bed was really comfortable and very clean. I previously had a nice breakfast here in 2017 and was looking forward to the same again this time. Sadly the hotel no longer does breakfast. The hotel is good value for money. The staff are lovely. They were most helpful in advising on the local area and were able to book us a taxi to go to the airport.

Extremely uncomfortable bed couldn't sleep

Location very hard to found even you already on the same street. very small sign for the hotel. The hotel mattress extremely hard, couldn't ever sleep overnight. End up need to pay extra to up grade the room with a very little softer bed, still hard. For someone able to sleep on a piece of wood board then would not be a problem.

Check in unpersonalized. Lady could not be bothered to let the bell boy take us to our room but just said your room that way while the bell boy was just standing there. Not a very Luxx welcoming.

Other reception staff friendly and helpful.

Room could be cleaner but acceptable. We like the wooden features. Luxx is very serene, relaxing with a small garden which surround the pool. I think it's a good calm place to stay in downtown Bangkok. The pool is not maintained properly as the water had a disbalance in water pH levels meaning to acid for opening eyes under water.

Luxx doesn't over breakfast service but does serve free fresh coffee which is nice.

Overall it's a good deal in a tranquil setting with a great location. Embassy's, lumpini park, nana, Central etc are within walking distance

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. However, the facilities seemed quite old. And room floors were not very clean when first stepped in (when barefeet you could feel the sandiness), tea counter and tv counter were both a bit dusty. Bathroom has no ventilation which could make the room humid and wet. Wifi was also very unstable. Apart from these, the overall stay was pleasant as the staff were very friendly and helpful when we ask for directions. They always greet with smile as well which could be a very important key to the staying experience! It's a cute boutique hotel with location not too far from 2 BTS stations if you don't mind walking for 10-15 minutes approximately. Let's hope it gets better!

My stay was okay.

For daily clean towels, the staffs didn't bother to place them at the towel hanger inside the bathroom. Instead, they just put it on the table closest to the door for 2 days. Their pillows are high/thick, but they don't have extra sets that are low/thinner (erm.. .these are basics). Except for the entrance side, the exterior is really worn out, an exterior makeover is overdue. The bed is smaller comparatively and it's only 6 feet long. Other than these issues, I do enjoy my stay over there.

Disappointing after staying

Hotel suppose to clean and refill amenities 2 twice a day BUT not for this hotel....until you ask them and they give you a weird face. They are name Luxx with a higher price but not to their services and cleanliness which are very low to mention under staffs.

It is a bit out of the happening areas and also not to mention the shopping areas.

TV given on the 2nd room was spoil and after informing them, they didn't take the effort to change it.

It does not have breakfast provided with it as well.
The rooms are very dusty as well.
Mattress and Pillows are hard which are suitable to old folks though and definitely not for the young at heart.

In summary, it needs major upgrading on client services, furniture & fittings and renovations.

It's a little difficult to find the hotel as it was tucked away in the back from the street. Staff was nice and check in was easy and accommodating.

Room was comfortable and clean. Need a little painting or touched up though.

Wifi wasn't able to connect in most part of the room. We were in Level 6. That was a little annoying. It kept dropping in and out and took forever to connect to a page once we are able to get a signal. Need to work on that.

The card that was handed out with directions and address was helpful.
I will suggest maybe have some info out front how much it will cost for a taxi to the airport. As you know, most taxi will not do metered especially going to the airport. As a tourist, we don't know how much toll charge is going to cost. So instead of trying to figure out what is the typical cost, maybe provide an idea like 600Baht - 700 inclusive of toll charges to airport. Or typical cost Taxi from \"well known\" malls to hotel is 200Baht.

Formerly a wonderful place to stay. Now looking tired and un-kept, not maintained. Room dark and without net curtain so cannot open blackouts unless you want the entire neighborhood looking in. No breakfast at all, not even for pay. It has become isolated in a sea of construction. I used to love this place. Nicest thing was the efficient and dedicated staff.

There is a construction going on that keeps waking us up in the morning, NO NOTICE WAS GIVEN. Location is a one day street which is terrible for cabs to get to us on time because its a huge turn into the road, convenient stores are a 400-500m walk both directions and train stations are not near. NOT NEAR. NOT RECOMMENDED TO STAY UNLESS RENTED OWN CAR.

Nice try, not really 4 star.

Location a little away from more interesting areas in Bangkok. The hotel did not seem like a 4 star hotel, the \"desk\" was uncomfortable with a hard bench seat. The swimming pool didn't have much ambience. Staff were friendly and helpful. TV did not have most of the channels advertised. Not much of a lobby. Anyway, an interesting effort with the space involved. Construction noise during the day.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

Terrible. Do not stay here. Worst hotel i have ever stayed at in my life.

I checked in late night after a long day of work and travelling, my room was more than dirty. It was filthy and smelly.

The phone wasn't working so I came to the lobby. After a long and unpleasant argument with the receptionist, a staff came to the room to check the room, and verified that the room was dirty. They didn't believe me. I was told that if the hotel policy is not to clean the room, if the guest is only staying there one night.

Around midnight I was recolated to another room. It was ok. And at 6am in the morning construction work and noise started. I tried to call reception. the phone was broken too. I went to the lobby to talk about it. They didn't believe me, they said construction starts after 8am. They were rude and tried to call the police. Finally, after coming to the room and verify that there was construction noise, and when I started recording them, then they suggested to change rooms, again.

it was 730am by then, i tried to nap for 30 mins before getting ready. the hot water didn't work in the third room. This place is worse than any 1 star/hostel. 930am i checked out.

Stay away from this scam.

Overall stay was good however it was a short one. There was only one issue which I face, the hotel charging / electrical outlets are all quite loose and disconnects regularly. This caused quite an inconvenience and I had to regularly check if my phone / work laptop / iPad was charging.
However the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Disappointing experience

Disappointing hotel, location not as convenient as anticipated, wifi strength patchy at best with limited connectivity to multiple devices. Front line staff really do try hard but the level of service is not as good as other similar boutique hotels in BKK. Hotel needs better access to taxi's for guests, waited over 40 minutes for staff to secure a taxi. Although the rooms are large in size and offer good space, the decor is tired, and dated. Management need to address and resolve guest complaints on the spot, rather than simply listening and doing nothing, had several issues that were discussed with management and no explanations or even apologies offered. i would NOT recommend this property based on that alone.

First time to stay here. Booked upon friend's recommendation. Taxi driver was not familiar with this hotel. Needed help from Google Maps. Excellent service from hotel front desk. She gave me a map of area and highlighted places where I could find food, currency exchange, and local attractions.

Hotel is quite old and run down. Too man desy construction sites around the Hotel, and thus very noisy. TV wasn't working properly despite attempts by the Hotel staff to rectify.

A spacious hotel room

The hotel room is spacious even if we put 2 30\" luggage bags. The staff are nice and friendly. However, it is located quite far away from BTS station where it takes at least 15 mins walk to the nearest BTS.

I booked a \"hotel shuttle\" from airport to hotel. Besides the price being 3x the amount of a normal taxi, the shuttle never showed up! I was travelling with a small child which made matters worse. Called the hotel who told me to go wait outside for the car...which again never showed up! When I kept calling the hotel back they would just hang up on me. Ended up taking a regular taxi! Not a happy camper!

Clean, Convenient, Would Recommend!

I was so happy with this hotel. Clean rooms, easy to get to, convenient to get around. Without the AC on the room did have a woodsy smell only from the interior decorating but as soon as you switched AC on it was gone. My Thai friend recommended this area and I was so happy with this hotel. 100% would stay again - especially for the price!

Hidden gem on Langsuan Rd.

Love this little, affordable, yet chic and stylish small hotel in a great location (near Lumphini park, several skytrains, and central shopping areas). The staff were lovely and helpful, and the breakfast was great but I would have loved some Thai options! Only problem was that Wi-fi was spotty.

Good design, service, area worth to explore

Good design of the hotel and room. Lumphini Park is just in a few minutes walk. Have great time with bicycle borrowed from hotel (cycling allowed in park from 10am to 3pm). Area with resturants and shops that seem worth to explore. At least 2massage shops open till midnight. Walking from BTS Chit Lom to hotel takes 15min. But the pedestrian is very narrow. If carrying big luggage, better take taxi, though the street jams quite seriously during busy hours. The nearest BTS is Ratchadamri. When you went down the station, walk straight down Mahatlek Luang 3 Alley (or look for direction of Villa Market), pass the security gate, keep walking straight, then you can reach the street where hotel is located. Overall service is great. Yet, air con quite noisy, wifi poor, water pressure of shower quite weak.

Utterly disappointing, staff with poor or no english skills, pictures on the hotel website appear to be about 20 years old. Balcony door couldnt open more than 400mm, bare exposed concrete as a splash drain around the bathtub, nothing in the mini bar (not that I woud use it with the prices they charged), no free bottled water like most hotels in Thailand, wifi was patchy and kept dropping out.

My stay at the hotel was ok overall, but it could be better if they could let professionals run the business rather than, perhaps, a family. In my opinion, it seems that the hotel is in a spiral down (eg no bar, no lunch or dinner in restaurant, only poor food brought in from outside for room service, minibar never replenished, lack of maintenance) while it was & could be potentially a groovy funky great hotel. The staff were friendly and tried hard to help though.

My wife and I liked this hotel. If you need a decent hotel within easy walking distance to the US Embassy this is the place to stay. The room was nice, but the shower layout is a bit confusing at first. Specifically, in an attempt to be stylish, the bathtub/ shower opens up into the room, with a sliding door, so you can take a bath while watching TV or gazing out the window at the construction site next door. Good in theory, maybe, but in practice water gets everywhere in the bathroom and the weird concrete slab/ drain system that they have doesn't work much. Don't get me wrong, of all the hotels we stayed in over 3 weeks in Thailand (six), this was our second favorite and the bathroom issue is really minor compared to the other great features the hotel offers (friendly staff, great A/C, near the park, very quiet at night (I won't complain about the rock hard bed because ALL beds in Thailand are like that), near the US embassy, good street market nearby (across street go down Alley/ Soi 7 and you are there)). All in all a nice hotel in a convenient location that we would stay at in the future (be aware that the hotel is hard to find and cab drivers won't know where it is, but it's close to the end of the one-way road, on the right-side and near a Mastercard sign and Korean BBQ). Great place to visit!

Close to sky train. The floating market was a must see. We loved the tuk tuks to get around. The Thai food is unbelievable. Bangkok is a beautiful city and the people are so friendly. If you want to experience having custom made clothing made, go see Jimmy at CKK Suits in the HomePro Plus Mall downtown you can have shirts, pants, suits made in 24 hours. The fit and quality is perfect!

Could be better!

I've got to say, I'm really rooting for this hotel to be great, it certainly has potential. We liked the location, the size, the serenity and the environment. However, it has flaws which could have so easily been fixed or tended to. Breakfast was limited, but ok. Thing that bugged us was that when we asked for the room to be cleaned/refreshed, we discovered that our used teacup wasn't replaced, but just turned upside down to make it appear that it had been changed. Also, when I was taking a shower, I noticed a used shower cap wedged inbetween the bathtub and the sliding doors. They need to check everywhere! I think the hotel needs to mentor their staff more and encourage them to be pro-active, rather than just do bare minimum. That's how the hotel can improve and be so much better! Apart from that their coffee was good though. Hope this helps!

Great location.

Hotel was very nice. Staff was super friendly. Location is amazing. Right across from lumpini park. Easy access to BTS. Close to Siam square. The mattress was a little harder than I expected as the description said tempurpedic. But overall the room was very nice and clean. Nice deep bath tub. The pool was nice. Just not very well lit at night. Everything else was great !

Would not recommend this hotel to single travlers due to it's location. Although between two Skytrain stops it is still very isolated, not much to do around.

Good place for a short stay

Pros:
- located in a quiet but convenient neighbourhood (proximity to BTS stations, Silom district, malls and the Erawan Shrine)
- simple but cozy lobby and interior design
- friendly staff

Cons:
- unstable supply of hot water
- relatively hidden from the street (difficult for taxi drivers to locate)

Nice decoration hotel

Hotel with nice and modern decoration, but a little torn out. 15 mins away from nearest BTS R1 station, not easy to locate the hotel. Cleanliness is okay. Breakfast is just average.
