Great premium hotel with quality service. The pools is relaxing with a great view of the tall buildings and a decent size although they could pay a bit more attention to cleaning it and ensuring sufficient chemicals such that the water visiblity is improved.
Hotel breakfast was also very nice with good variety. The rice congee could do with more condiment options (there were only four).

We were given early check in and late check out, which we really appreciated. All the staff were courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The gym is well equipped and maintained. Very varied options for breakfast. Lovely swimming pool area with deep pool. Altogether a good experience staying here.

Home away from home. I love staying here, they have the best breakfast and pool area. The staff are excellent, always friendly and attentive to all my needs. They have some of the best restaurants in the city located in the hotel itself and nearby. It’s like an oasis in this jam packed bustling city.

All the staff up from cleaning to room service to reception to dining to lobby to gym, have exhibited exemplary service. My husband and I were delighted for the special birthday treat and for accepting our request for a birthday song sang in Thai. We cannot be more grateful for that !

We had a wonderful holiday in Bangkok. Great clean and safe hotel. Worth every penny. Restaurants were very good. Staff was top notch. Ate room service one night and it was ok. Ate in the main restaurant for breakfast and a few dinners. It was easy and had plenty of options for everyone. Room was clean and modern. Swimming pool was nice and relaxing in the heat. If we come back we would stay here again because of all the options and location right outside of all the tourist and shopping spots.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at The Athenee Hotel, and only wish we could have stayed longer! The service was exceptional, with every staff member going above and beyond to help. All staff members were so friendly, and were wonderful with our children as well. The pool area is beautiful and the gym is really well-equipped. We had a family room (2 rooms connected) which was super comfortable and great for our larger family. When I informed the hotel it was our son’s birthday, they arranged some gorgeous decorations & surprise treats on our room for our arrival, and our son felt super special. We would definitely stay here again, and hope to be back in the near future!

Of the many hotels that we have chosen over the years, the Athenee Hotel in Bangkok was among the very best. While this was not our first time to Bangkok, this was our first stay at this hotel. It is centrally located, and a very short walk from a Sky Train station, which allowed us easy access to many parts of the City. The hotel is the epitome of elegance from the moment you walk in. Our room was very well appointed, and the hotel was a true oasis of relaxation after returning from touring the city. Of the greatest note, however, was the service provided by the employees of this hotel (with one exception that I will describe later). From the moment we walked in the door, there were warm welcomes and greetings from the doormen, the bell staff and even security. Our check in, while lengthy, was gracious. And of note, our encounters with Day, Kook, Phueng, Nammon and Bogie were incredible - each of them going above and beyond and out of their way to assure that our stay was memorable, comfortable and extraordinary. They all deserve special thanks! The only individual that was a disappointment was a member of the concierge staff, who we were seeking some help from on our last day - he was stiff, unfriendly and unpleasant- I don’t think that he was Thai. He was notable only because of the contrast he drew from literally every other person we encountered on staff, and doesn’t take away from the overall experience. This hotel continues to impress!

It was a wonderful stay! Not my first time, and I loved how warm friendly and helpful the staff continue to be, post-Covid. If anything, I thought service has improved compared to my last stay in 2018. The staff with really are definitely this hotel’s secret weapon!

I had 2 deliveries, and the concierge desk was great with checking and informing me when deliveries arrive. The pool team was also very welcoming, with a thoughtful glass of ice water and some fruit snacks.

Rooms are still as comfortable: dark, cool and well-insulated. The rain shower worked perfectly. I can recommend this hotel without reservations, and I will definitely be back!

This hotel exemplified luxury in every way possible. From the prestigious lobby, to the quality of the staff (concierge, front desk, door staff, bartender...etc). Every moment spent in the hotel my wife and I felt like honored guests. The drinks at the bar were true works of art, and the breakfast buffet was possibly the best I have had the fortune of enjoying at a 5-star hotel. Wish I had more than two nights to soak up the experience.

But, a big but. We wanted to lounge by the pool in the morning. And two days the pool was being repaired. Worse than that on Friday the pool was open, but there was even by some company at the pool area. Full of noisy people some not wearing masks. That afternoon we went back down. And for two hours workers were tearing down from the event. No masks, moving large things that were close to falling. No regard for pool guest sets safety as they moved the heave objects. Unacceptable.

It was nice overall. However there are two critical disadvantages. There is no USB socket in the room. I think it is not acceptable as per nowadays standard on luxury hotel. There is no separated room for toilet. It is also not common in modern 5 stars hotel.

As a Marriott platinum card holder , no welcome drinks and no upgrade. In the lobby , there were a huge wedding , I barely could hear the check in staffs, I felt like 2000 people are behind me .

The hotel breakfast is amazing , lounge is not bad . And gym & swimming pool are great . We stayed 6 nights , the last breakfast was chaotic again because there was an event , we barely could find place to sit , staff got confused with our orders and lost our orders even . In the end we didn’t eat what we wanted and left .

Overall I think it’s not a bad choice . But seriously it needs a bit management attention to fix some problems

Sadly, this hotel really didn't live up to the hype. We live in Thailand and spend most weekends in Bangkok for a city break, this time excitedly we thought we would attempt The Athenee Hotel.

I want to make sure that I give it a fair review so, first I will list the positives. It is a clean hotel in an ideal for shopping and restaurants. It has a lovely friendly welcome on entry and it has a prestige feel to the whole building. The beds are super comfortable with superior bed linen. Plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries are available in the room. Check in a and out were simple.

Now, sadly the negatives. The carparking, as another reviewer mentioned is complicated and confusing to say the least. No valet parking was available and using exiting onto a busy main road, there are no security/traffic coordinators to make sure you exit safely, as there are in most hotels in Bangkok.

Our room and bathroom, were small and smelled musty. On arrival there was an air extractor running down the corridor to remove the smell of freshly painted varnish - which was overpowering. Breakfast on the first morning could only be described as chaotic! We were ushered around the room by a waitress who couldn't find a spare table. Our breakfast order was incorrect and took over 15 minutes to arrive. In summary, and I have to compare as other hotels in the area at a similar price range (we paid £261.00 for 2 nights for a standard room with breakfast) outclass this hotel completely.

This has been my favourite hotel in Bangkok for many years. Unfortunately I don’t think i’ll be going back. The rooms have a strange damp smell, I stayed here twice in the last fortnight and had the same problem. I don’t have this issue at any other hotel I stay in. They did move me on both occasions but just to rooms that smelt slightly less.
Also very difficult to get any good service while pool side.

From helping with my arrival Covid testing before I got to Bangkok to the daily greetings and offers to help with anything to the concieges, they all were wonderful. I would especially like to say how wonderful Irada was throughout my stay. Even after I was out for the day, she texted to let me know she had arranged an appointment for me. Thank you again, Irada!

The Raintree Cafe had a wonderful Halloween theme breakfast, so we decided to stay over one night. The hotel staff and facilities were wonderful. The ro was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully on a longer stay.

I have been to many luxury hotels in my life but I have never been as impressed with any of them as much as I have been with the Athenee! The service was great, the rooms, the facilities and the restaurants were luxurious as any anywhere, but what made the Athenee stand out was the warmth and courtesy of the staff! Before checking in I received an email with information about COVID related procedures and asking if we were celebrating an occasion. I wrote back saying that we just celebrated our wedding anniversary and my birthday a couple of weeks ago. When we checked in and entered the room we were moved by what we saw - a wonderful display of swans and kittens with a lovely message made out of ribbons.

Service is one of the best I found in Bangkok, attentiveness at its best.

The location is close to Skytrain station (3-5 minutes walk), in a very safe area, my room's view is green space with a city view behind.

The room is well maintained, everything met 5 stars standard. Amenities from Thann are quite high in quality.

4 restaurants in the hotel, Chinese, Japanese, French, and Thai Cuisine. All seem famous, I tried the Chinese one, and it's delicious. The Peking duck is excellent (1,800 ).

Club Lounge provides enough for a full meal, which is not normally found in other hotels, rice with 4 other Thai dishes buffet.

Overall, better than expected. Worth the Luxury Hotel Collection.
