Very ordinary hotel. As a five-star hotel room, it’s surprising that there are no speakers. The TV doesn’t allow external phone connections for playing music, and there’s no built-in music system either. There are plenty of hotels in the same price range nearby with better views and amenities, so why choose this one?

Upon checked in the counter staff is bit unfriendly. The house keeping to deliver the items upon request is slow & also forget to put towels after room cleaning.

Rest of the time; the staffs are very approachable. The restaurants staffs for breakfasts are super helpful, friendly👍👍

This is on a very convenient location for public transport (BTS), near many malls and nice part of town. It is not near the main downtown attractions but a taxi would take you there in 20 minutes early in the morning. Easy to get to this hotel from the airport (~45 minutes). The pool at the top floor is nice but it can be chilling in the evening.

We had an outstanding stay at this hotel! The room we stayed in had a double bed; it was clean and modern. The bathroom was upscale with a walk-in shower and bathtub. The breakfast buffet was unique for the class of hotel, offering juicing made to order from fruits you select. They also have a variety of pre-juiced fruit and dairy and non-dairy drinks in small glass carafes. They even have a dedicated vegetarian food section and a wonderful baked goods section where we enjoyed the pistachio cream-filled and topped croissant. We were cheerfully greeted by the hostess Beam, who helped us find our table and, as a nice gesture, prepared our coffee to order.

Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and exceptional stay!

This hotel's saving grace were the housekeeping and breakfast staff. For a five star hotel, one would expect better services and warmer hospitality from the check in staff and concierge. We had to open the hotel doors on our own while struggling with our luggage, strangely, there weren't staff to assist us even though it wasn't a busy evening with guests arriving. Upon arriving in the late evening, the check in staff was reserved though polite. She wasn't forthcoming about providing information on the amenities but just handed a card with information pertaining to facilities. I even had to ask her where the lift lobby was, and she just pointed. I strongly believe that the concierge and check in staff are very important in creating a good impression of the establishment, hence if visitors were to stay in this hotel expecting 5 star treatment, they will be sorely disappointed.

I talked to the staff to my booking to arrive two days later, and they said they’d contact Expedia to take care of it on my behalf. They then charged me for those nights, and informed me that I would have had to contact Expedia myself, and that they could not do anything themselves.
I did then write to Expedia, and they requested the hotel reimburse the canceled nights. The hotel then refused Expedias request to reimburse.
I have written evidence of this in hotel computer records.
I found out from one of the staff that the Marriot charges local staff personally from their salaries for these kinds of chargebacks, and that is why they fight so hard against customers. Especially since $200 is a large amount for a local Thai salary. Very exploitative labor practices, and disconcerting to find out that this may be happening on a global scale.

Great location, but out of all the hotels I have stayed at in the past when I visited Bangkok, this one had the best service!

The staff were extremely professional, and the navigators at the hotel assisted me in arranging two very timely airport transfers (Had a few options for vehicles and we selected the S Class which was very clean and clearly well-maintained).

The hotel was a stone's throw away from Erawan Shrine and centralwOrld. Even though we called Grab for most of our outings, the Chit Lom BTS station was right outside the hotel.

The room was very clean and the bed was amazing.

The check-in was awful, we arrived at 3 o’clock. Our rooms were not ready till 6 o’clock. The Manager at the Desk said he was upgrading our rooms but did not do that. In fact, he misled us into thinking that he had and then try to lie about it.

We love the swimming pool which has shelter, no worries even if it rains. We didn't realise that there was a huge construction ongoing in the mall next to hotel. The BTS station was linked to hotel via the mall. On last 2 days of stay, we have to walk via car park area to go in/ out. Thanks to wonderful staff at the lobby for helping us with luggage and walked through the mall with us to the bridge linking to BTS station on the last day for us to catch the train to airport.

Harrowing experience

Great hotel with central location. Food was good, very friendly service.
BUT...I was locked in the elevator for 90 minutes. For the first 45 minutes the voice on the intercom assured me that the crew was working to get me out but my colleague went from the floors I was trapped between and the main lobby and did not see anyone responding, they did not even have an employee standing at the elevator to advise the mtn crew when they finally arrived.
The maintenance team finally starting working after 45 minutes, it was getting hotter and hotter every minute. At the 60 minute mark they got the door open enough to pass me a bottle of water. At the 70 minute mark they started moving the elevator up and down, inches and feet at a time, at 80 minute mark they were able to open the door a few inches. Following 10 more minutes of banging and prying the door they opened it just enough for me to squeeze out and jump down to the landing, only a couple of feet, and finally I was out.
The operations manager who met me when I got out was extremly professional and tended to all my needs, including aranging a car to take me to the airport. I thank her for her support but will never darken the doors of this hotel again.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years. I am never disappointed. The service you receive from arrival to check in on the club floor is exceptional. On this trip I inadvertently left two small plastic bags in the club room as I was checking out. I realized it when I got to the airport and called the hotel. As I was calling the hotel the club floor receptionist was emailing me to tell me they found the bags. I was so impressed by their level of service.
Great hotel, great service and a place where I will always return to when traveling in Asia.

Location was awesome. Sheltered walking distance to Erawan Shrine, Central World, Big C, Siam Paragon. Extremely close to Chit Lom BTS station.
Breakfast spread was excellent.
Staff at front desk and breakfast location courteous.
Accomodated to early check in and late check out requests.
Only con: pillows are too soft.
Will choose to stay again at Renaissance.

I always live in this hotel when I travel to Bangkok. It's location is perfect - access skywalk directly without having to walk on the street. The swimming pool on 23rd floor has beautiful views. Staffs are very friendly.
The only issue is there was oddness in the corridor of level 10.

Read good reviews about this hotel and it didn’t disappoint! The location is very convenient, just a few minutes besides the BTS station. Central World is around the corner! There’s a building besides to go for foot massage and mani/pedicure.

The rooms were big and comfortable. We have 2 rooms for our family of four and the nice front desk manager upgraded us to higher floor with interconnecting rooms.

The staff are all super nice and helpful!

Breakfast spread was quite decent. We missed the Egg Benedict, especially my son who have it every day!

If i have to nitpick something, it will be that the toilets blinds were not covering properly when drawn. So the privacy is slightly compromised.

Overall super impressive! We will definitely be back!

Rooms are clean (we booked 3 rooms). Good location to all the shopping areas and BTS. Service staff made the most difference and made our stay much better. K Ju fr the front counter always smiling and willing to answer our numerous queries. The conceige was ever so helpul in making the numerous reservation (and changes) at the restaurants. This is just one of many times I have stayed at this hotel. This was my first trip back since the Pandemic and I was not disappointed. One thing that occurred during my stay was significant. While sitting in the first floor lounge late in the evening I was approached by the general manager who welcomed me to the hotel and sat with me for at least 15 minutes and we discussed my opinion of the hotel. I was truly impressed with his efforts to make me feel welcomed. He is an asset to your hotel chain.

This is my fourth time staying at this hotel for my vacation in Bangkok. Great location and service from the front desk is great too. Need to mention here that one of the navigator was very helpful when we checked out and helped with our heavy luggages and calling for taxi to the airport.

Walls extremely thin, we could hear our neighbors blasting music and quarreling. It was to the point that we could hear every single word that they are quarreling about at 1am in the morning! Quite ridiculous. Staff that checked us out took some time because when we checked in, I asked if the payment for the room is made and she said yes. Turns out it wasn’t and had to wait for quite awhile for them to check this and that. Overall will not recommend, will not come back again

Location and facilities expected of a 5-star hotel at Chitlom is a given.

However hotel staff had difficulties understanding english in writing. Our request to have day 5 PCR cost refunded was understood to have day 5 of our hotel stay cancelled!

The security charge of THB 1000 per night was charged without properly informing. It was clarified when I went down to clarify during my stay when it was notified by my credit card company.

On check-out, hotel staff said they would email me a copy of the credit notice of the day 5 PCR test back to my credit card on the day itself. It has since been 2 days and I have not heard anything from the hotel.

Administratively burdensome. No complimentary frills were extended inspite of the above experience.

I and the family had 2 studio suites.

At check out there were confusions about 1,000 THB hotel credit (which was included in the room price). Front desk confirmed 1,000 THB hotel credit per room when I checked in but she failed to add a credit line to my account.

The hotel sould consider to provide capsule coffee maker or at least a drip coffee maker instead of the tacky sachets of instant coffee currently being offered.

My Deluxe room with 2 double beds is perfect. The facilities in room are modern and clean. Breakfast is superb and so impressive. The hotel staff of the sections, I’ve met during my 2-night stay (reception, concierge, restaurants, fitness center) are very good service minded and helpful. The Italian and Chinese restaurants at hotel are recommended.
