Comfy basic hotel

Basic hotel, ok for transit. Not many activity in the hotel, just small swimming pool. Room clean and comfy. Food not that great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is away from crowd and night life. Good for someone who just need a comfy bed to sleep and good rest.

Great Location

Great location with the markets and Poppies Lane a 5 minute walk away. Large supermarket, KFC and Dominos across the road. Room was large and comfortable. Only improvement could be a better range of food at the breakfast buffet. Would stay again.

Great transit hotel

This is simple, no frills hotel. The room was a bit dated but clean and quite comfortable. Checked in was easy too. It’s a good transit hotel for me.

Good for transit stay

The hotel was good and clean. The surroundings were also close to food and city center. My only complaints were about cable tv that was not working, and wifi that kept asking for login.

Our 4-nites in Santika Kuta

Overall is quite good except for the daily breakfast. Food served are similar during our stay (4 nites). Need to hv more varities / or at least change the daily menu.

Clean and tidy good for overnight stay.

Staff were friendly, hotel was clean and tidy, bathroom very small, could often smell cigarette smoke in rooms as people could smoke in hallways, location wasn't very good, very busy street. Room service was nice, however the hotel had no bar and I couldn't have a cocktail or alcoholic beverage except bintang. Disappointed by this aspect as well as location. I would not recommend for long stay, but overnight fine.

Worth the price

The breakfast could be better quality. Hotel room not very clean. Spent way too long time during check-in although that was around 9pm already......Anyway this is a very affordable price so we can't complain much about the quality.

Staff were very friendly and helpful

The only problem we had was a lot of the staff did not understand English very well and I think it is more a corporate motel for seminars and not so much for a holidays as it is not close to the beach or shopping. We were the only non Asians in the motel for a week so it was different but a pleasant stay. I think if we return to Bali we would stay closer to the beach.

very practical for business stay in the kuta or bypass area.. the hotel is simple in design, easy to walk in and out, makes for a good transit stay. across the road is a supermarket, KFC, and ATM... place is easily accessible from the bypass roundabout, which makes getting around by car very convenient (ie. not bogged down by traffic iike in tuban, legian, or kuta beach area). having said that, its a bit far from the bars andbeaches. taxi is plentily available outside hotel as it is a busy road. breakfast is standard 3* hotel fare. room is fine. try to get the deluxe as it is on the pool level.

great hotel for a coupe of days

This was a great hotel to stay for business meeting. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. It is a bit noisy at the front but the back is great.

Great for a business meeting

We have rented a few rooms for our business meeting and found out it was a great place to stay.The front of the hotel was really noisy so I had to ask them to stay at the back of the hotel, where it was much quiter. The staff was really kind and friendly but I am not convinced it would be ideal for holiday stay though.

Quite alright

I was in transit from Bali to another part of Indonesia and I stayed a night at Santika. It's a decent clean hotel with the necessary amenities for the traveller. The only down side was the traffic in Kuta - horrendous! But that's life in Bali. Kudos to the traffic controllers from the hotel who made it less scary crossing the road!

Good Hotel if you have a low budget

My stay was good and comfortable.The only thing that was annoying- a knock on the door at 8am asking if you have any clothes you'd like to send to laundry.This did not happen once but everyday (throughout the 3 days stay).Maybe they can come after 9am or 10am rather than at 8am. Location was ok just that if you are coming back late after partying, I dont think it's safe to walk back (unless you have hired a car or bike). Overall worth the price I paid. Breakfast was ok. Could have been better

Good hotel for quick stopover or business

Efficient check in and porter explained how things in the room worked (e.g. safe, tv, etc.).
The room was fairly small and the bathroom tiny but it was only for one night so it was ok. It is a hotel that's more for business travellers or people on a one or maybe two night stop over in Kuta.

our experience at this hotel was very good we arrived at around 7pm and were welcomed with a refreshing drink the staff were very friendly checkin was very fast no waiting at all our room was on the ground floor right in front of the pool we had 3 rooms together 2 were interconnecting. Breakfast was good had both western and indonesian available staff were very friendly and made the effort to speak to you. The rooms were cleaned every day normally when we were out for the day so it was nice to come back to a clean room. Staff happy to book any trips for you but no information avail at the hotel for day trips. if this was avail would probably have gone on a few more trips. checkout was at 12 noon which was also a smooth process. As we didnt leave until 10.50pm so we could leave our luggage at the hotel until time to leave this was very helpful.

Locaton is around 15- 20mins walk to main area of Kuta.

Try the non alcoholic Sangria, so refreshing.

Loved it - only 1 small problem

The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are good, everything worked perfectly we had no problems. The location is great, only a 3 min cab ride from Legian Street which is where you want to be. You could even walk there! There is no alcohol served at the hotel though, not even in the restaurant. No swim up bar! And the pool is in the shade for most of the afternoon, there is no where else to sit out and tan so if this is what you're after then I suggest choose a different hotel. But everything else was perfect, this hotel is GREAT for families!!

Relaxing holiday

The Santika Kuta is a very clean hotel with staff that tend to your every need. The only downside is the distance from restaurants, shopping etc. Occasionally it was difficult to get a taxi back to the hotel which is about a 20 minute walk from Mata Hari Kuta. But we could not fault the hotel and the staff. The breakfasts were superb and the quality of service was outstanding. It was a pleasure staying at such a friendly establishment. I would definately recommend this hotel to travellers who want to visit Bali without the noise and hustle of central Kuta. Thank you Santika Kuta for a wonderful holiday!!

Very pleasant experience!

My experience overall was quite pleasant. The hotel was very clean, staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.

The hotel was in a good location- quite close to everything. The security is very helpful, he will find a cab for you. Also, I was told \"Bluebird\" taxi's are the way to go.

Tip: Traveling by taxi is much cheaper than using the car service offered in the hotel.

Good Hotel with Very Friendly Staff

Hotel and Staff were lovely. Had a problem with the bathroom leaking and leaving water everywhere. Breakfast was not that great. Good location - walking distance to centre of Kuta. Again, Staff were exceptional and very friendly.

Nice hotel rubbish location

Although the hotel is clean and the staff very friendly, the location of the hotel really let's it down. You have to get a taxi to everywhere from the hotel. Ripped off by a taxi driver that picked us up from outside our hotel.

Good hotel overall, located far from the beach and general ammenities. No bar and central pool area echoed badly to surrounding rooms. Many mosquitoes. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Value for money but wouldn't do it again.

OK but overpriced for what you get. Mediocre room, nice breakfast & nice pool

Nice staff and lobby, room was small, a bit rundown. OK room but way overpriced for what you get and for the location on a busy street quite a walk from the beach. Poor quality windows which let in as much noise as if the window was open. Good wireless. Excellent breakfast buffet with western and asian choices. Nice, clean pool. Would recommend for 30% cheaper.

Hotel Santika Bali Kuta

BEWARE there are 2 Santika Hotels in Kuta, they misrepresent themselves, they are a Group of hotels run by the same management, so both Kuta hotels appear together. My husband and I along with other couples (that we did not know) all found ourselves at the Hotel Santika inland in a 'premiere' room instead of at the Santika Premiere Resort. We were lucky enough to change hotels to the Dynasty and had a fantastic stay there and would recommend the Dynasty.

Be aware, it is not Santika Hotel near the beach

The price is too expensive for a city hotel in bali that is far away by foot from everything in Kuta. I thought this hotel is the one located besides Kartika Plaza Hotel, which is also Santika, but this one is new, the room is small, the pool is small and not a good price for what its actually worth. Add another $20 and you can stay at A LOT better hotels.

We thought we had booked in central Kuta but did find the hotel comfortable but luck the extras. Room size was ok but smallest bathroom .Very noisy in terms of other rooms. WE were on 5th floor but could here the pool noise as well as other rooms .Not many restaurants close buy.

Nice location, clean rooms.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we enjoyed the relax atmosphere and the location as it was in the centre of most touris attractions in Kuta (beaches, clubs).
If you are looking for a 3 star hotel to meet your limited busget, I centrainly recommend you have a look at this hotel.

The pleasant stay at Hotel Santika Kuta Bali

We are pleasantly surprise with the cleanliness of the hotel despite its location along the busy street of Jalan Raya Kuta. Also very happy to have our room upgraded to a premier suit and it comes with a nice Kind size bed and a balcony that overlooking the swimming pool. The room is a located away from traffic noises. Room is very comfortable and huge. The furniture feels brand new and mattress is very comfortable. The buffet breakfast that is part of the package is very good. The buffet spread is very appealing. We stayed for 3 days and everyday the buffet menu provides something new. There are lots of green vegetables. The fried black pepper beef is fantastic. The hotel is not far off the kuta beach. It took us just 20 minutes walk to the beach and along the way, there are lots of shopping and food where you can enjoy. It was lovely and enjoyable walk. The hotel staffs were very professional and they all speaks good English and always smiling. One point to highlight is that they forgot the wake up call that we requested. Nevertheless, we are very happy with the service of the hotel and would not hesitate to stay at the same hotel again when we do return for our next visit. We strongly recommend the hotel to all tourist visiting Bali. Thank you Hotel Santika Kuta.
