Very rude lady at the front desk. We had a miscommunication on our booking and she immediately started scolding us about how we should be gone by now, and was being very hateful and trying to argue. As someone who works in customer service, I am never EVER rude and I have never met somebody this rude, especially when we are paying (too much) to stay here. Piece of the faucet was completely broken off, the place smells, the dishes are dirty, shower head is dirty, and the bed feels like sleeping on a rock. Would have left a better review had the lady up front not been so incredibly rude. Don’t even waste your time on this place!

Budget Friendly Hotel-Room Smelled of Smoke

This is a budget friendly hotel, so I knew what I was getting into. But I didn't realize it's right on the main road, so I heard quite a bit of traffic at night. My frustration was my room smelled like smoke. The front desk worker said all the rooms are non-smoking. The hotel was full and there were no rooms to move into. It was just one night, so I was able to manage. But no one wants a room smelling like smoke. The bedsheets and pillows were less than desirable

The bed was worn out and very uncomfortable. Pillows were flat and worn out. Top sheet had cigarette burn hole in it. Hotel smell like weed. Not a good experience when you can pay the same price elsewhere. The only good thing was the room space with stove and refrigerator.

The front desk staff never smiled, was curt, had tone, was not helpful, and generally unpleasant. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The air-conditioning worked well, but the room was damp and clammy. There were dead/dying cockroaches in the kitchen cabinets, and there was a smell of cigarettes and marijuana in the halls, stairwell, and elevator. We will not be back.

Even though I paid for and booked 4 nights at this property, the day of my arrival, I was notified by the property manager that my room was not available b/c the hotel was oversold. My ONLY option was to take a room at their sister property which was NOT comparable and was a 1 at best. The lady at the desk was super nice and helpful but my room did not have a kitchenette and the food I brought with me went to waste if I could not microwave it. The hotel was old, the rooms were dirty and there were zero amenities. I did get a break on price but only because I asked for it. I would not recommend this hotel chain.

The staff was nice, after we were given a horrible room on the first floor with bad smell we were given a room in the second floor that was cleaner. Not super clean, but better. We stayed for a night and it was fine but any longer isn’t ideal. Definitely not a “nice” hotel but manageable if you are flexible. Quite price for what we got as well. 150ish dollars for a 2/5 star spot 17 from PCB

Property always had people loitering in parking lot all hours of day and night. The back door was always propped open despite me closing numerous times. There weren’t any toiletries in the room and I had to ask the front desk to provide. I was in the handicapped room and the shower chair wouldn’t even lower it was rusted and covered in mold/mildew

The halls and the room smelled. We were placed in a handicapped room (not requested) and had trouble with the shower. The toilet was not anchored to the floor and the toilet seat was broken. It slid every time someone sat down. The handle on the kitchenette sink was broken. The fridge was rusty as well.

The staff seemed rude and seemed to have attitude. Asked for a clean towel and was questioned for it. Left my "throw" in the hotel room and when I called back for it no one said they had ever seen it. However, I remember leaving it on the bed and forgot to go back for it. People were constantly hanging out around the hotel, which made me feel uneasy. When initially arriving told the clerk that the oval lights with the globe was not working (they were, the light switch worked the opposite way) and the clerk snapped and popped her lips.

The bathroom had mold growing up the wall outside the shower. The safety bar in the shower came out of the wall into my hand. We were informed upon check in there was a $50 deposit for incidentals that was not conveyed prior to arrival. Hallways were hot and smelly Would not recommend this property

I was not able to actually stay at the hotel. My reservation was apparently cancelled, and I was never notified by either Expedia or the hotel itself. I arrived in town only to find I actually had no hotel room, and then had to drive around for several hours to find a place to stay. I am EXTREMELY displeased with this situation. As of this moment I plan to NEVER use Expedia again. I plan to tell anyone who will listen that reservations made on Expedia are not trustworthy. I plan to post on all of my social media accounts that a person has no real way to rectify a situation like this if it should happen to them. I may wait to see if I can get any sort of response about this situation from any real person as opposed to simple automated emails from Expedia. I'll be willing to bet that I will never hear from an actual customer representative. If so, both Expedia and the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel have seen the last of my money, as I will never use either of them again.

This was a trip from hell. The woman at the desk was the ONLY redeeming quality -- she did everything to rectify our problems. We were in a first-floor handicap room which means a LOT of space. Furnishings were adequate, the bed (just a metal frame and mattress) was terrible. The noise is unbearable in the room. The sink counter was so sticky that my hand stuck to it and there was an imprint of a can that showed it was never wiped clean. Children were running in the 2nd floor hall and it sounded like someone was bouncing bowling balls. A guest in the adjacent room sounded like he was having very good sex which sounded like it was right in our room. There is a deep drop off the highway that just about takes off the front end of a car (there are so many dig spots in the asphalt it is difficult to count). The shower water accumulates on the bathroom floor and does not drain well -- remember I said this was a handicap room. And finally, you don't have the rating that states "will never stay in this hotel again."

My trip was a last minute getaway due to a death in the family. After booking the room via hotels.com I went back and started reading the reviews, by the time we made it to the hotel I was extremely worried that we would be staying in a roach infested place. However, our room had no bugs what so ever. The young lady at check in was very nice and helpful. She explained that our room was not ready for check in but we could have a different set up which was fine. After getting into our room on the 4th floor and checking it out we were pleased with it, we did notice a list on the counter telling us what items were provided and that we would be charged if they were missing so my husband made sure that night to let the gentleman at the front counter know that some of the items on the list were not in our room and he didn't want us to be charged for them. The gentleman just shook his head ok. After coming back to the room Friday night we realized that our AC was not cooling the room down like we thought it should, we had the air on 60 and we were still hot (my house stays on 72 and we are cool). The next morning we got up to leave and noticed we did not have a do not disturb sign so we told the gentleman (same from night before) at the front desk to please tell the cleaning crew not to enter our room, he stated that he would notate it and let them know. Needless to say when we came back we realized that they had come into our room. Will not be going back ever!!!

We couldn't stay at this hotel for more than 10 minutes. The room was infested with roaches and the staff was very unpleasant. We chose to leave and go to another hotel and we have been fighting to get our money back for the past 3 weeks. Neither the hotel or hotels.com has contacted us back. Would NOT recommend this hotel unless you are ok with paying for the 10 minute cockroach show.

They are a little lax on cleaning. Elevators were dirty, hall carpets were dirty, only one small bar of soap between two people to use for showers and hand washing.. inside bathroom door had a big stain on it.. not sure what that was… floor was dirty…got the bottom of my feet black..

The room smelled like smoke, the smoke detector was not hooked up properly so im guessing the guess before us smoked in the room, we had to keep asking for more towels. When we checked out the desk clerk had the nerves to say the room smelled like smoke and had ashes on the window seal which was most probably already there since we didnt smoke, refused to give back our security deposit. Only plus was the location it was close to the beach and restaurants.

Roaches, dirty floors, and more

The entire facility was very dirty and Unkept. There were Roaches in the rooms, and debris and stains on all the floors throughout the building. The staff made it feel like you’re more of a burden to them than a paying customer even during simple transactions like checking in. I can’t imagine anyone would be a repeat customer at this hotel.

Booked a room with kitchenette for 4 nights. Didnt get it the first night because "I booked third party" which made no sense to me. The next morning a very nice guy at the front desk asked me if i wanted to move to a room that had a kitchenette since that's what i booked. We did. Very happy with the room. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Will stay here again.

Over night check was a little rough. The lady was kinda rude but I do imagine the spring breakers have been annoying on a Friday night. Room was nice, not too fancy, but one night was comfortable. Could see the water from the window. Walked to Dunkin and McDonald’s. Neither we open to pedestrians, but managed with their apps.

The staff was kind enough to let us check in earlier than expected. Given the current environment, all staff had on face masks, and most wore gloves which was reassuring. We discarded a charging cable for our phone, and while we were checking out they inspected the room and found it. They wanted to make sure that we didn't leave it behind on accident which was very kind of them. The only reason why I'm not providing a stellar review is cleanliness. The bathroom had a small gnat that was squished next to the sink, and the shower still had a few hairs left from the prior guests. I also killed a small roach in the room which always leaves a poor review by my standards. If it weren't for the issues in cleanliness, I wouldn't mind coming back.

The property was under renovation construction with toolls and debris scattered throughout. If I had known ahead of time I never would have booked. The overall condition of the room was worn and old. Not even sure my bed linen was changed. Cover plates on outlets were falling off and a fire alarm device was hanging by wire from ceiling. I have a video. In fact I had booked for two nights and paid for two but only stayed one. It was a mess. I am surprised the building department hadn't shut down the construction due to unsafe conditions.
