We ended up staying here for a week long visit after encountering challenges with our initial booking through VRBO. When we arrived we were told that Expedia overbooked their property, so they had no rooms even though we had confirmed a booking. We spent hours that night on the phone with Expedia, but ended up having to modify our reservation due to their error. The night team working, Kathy and Ed, were helpful and did what they could. When we spoke to management, they initially argued that it wasn’t their fault. We expressed our frustration and shared that they still have a responsibility to ensure their customers are not negatively impacted via a third party experience. The breakfast was average, but there was a bug crawling on the wall near the buffet area, which my husband snapped a photo of. The worst part is that there were bed bugs in the room we were initially given. We were bitten and caught a live one. We moved to another room at 1a and stayed up all night sanitizing our belongings and washing clothes to then heat treat them, even if they hadn’t been near the beds. The property management only gave a refund of a few nights and said they couldn’t have our suitcases professionally heat treated since they “aren’t a full service hotel”. They gave us a spray to treat our bags and recommended we leave them out in the sun. The spray was for fleas, not bed bugs, and they gave no explanation for how they planned to treat the affected room. We do not recommend this place.

Shortly after checking in, I received a text message from the staff asking if needed anything. I really appreciate that. They were were very helpful and courteous.

I reserved our room for the 4th of July weekend and when we got to the hotel the desk clerk advised that the hotel manager canceled my reservation that morning and because I booked it through a 3rd party there was nothing that they could do! My family of four was devastated because we were far from home with no place to stay! I guess they were upset that I got a suite room for under $800 for two nights- I will never reserve a room with them again and I have told everyone that I know and will continue to share my awful experience! We had to pay double the cost but luckily we found a room on the beach!

I liked everything about the hotel it was my first time ever staying at a Hilton and the staff was amazing and we had free breakfast every morning and on Wednesday evening they had snacks and arts for the kids and adults plus a very nice pool and lounging area. I definitely would stay there again
Wanda
This is a nice hotel. Best thing about is the breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. For some reason I was thinking the beach was closer but it wasn’t. It was a short drive. If u get a chance go to St Andrew bay. The water is AMAZING. Totally different from the water at the other beaches. No seaweed at all. I felt like I was in a part of Greece. Anyway, back to the hotel: my water pressure was very low the whole time and the toilet had to be fixed because it could barely flush. Overall I like it. I’d stay again if I need to but I’d rather be close to all the action and the beach.
Rodney
Nice suites, active pool, nice sitting area outside.
Sheryl
New hotel! Staff was friendly and attentive to needs; very good breakfast; good location.
Delicia
Breakfast was good each day. Staff were friendly and everything were cleaned.

Total experience was great. My issue was whoever was above me in 311. All nights around 9-11 pm it sounded like a wrestling match was taking place. The pounding was relentless. I was going to call; however, I did not want to get involved with whomever was above me. The hotel staff was great and very accommodating.
Elizabeth
The hotel is set back from the roadway so I created a quiet atmosphere. The breakfast was very good and plenty of seating available. The front desk actually texted me to let them know if I needed anything and it was very convenient for me in that I was able to text them if I had any questions or concerns. They responded right away. The check in was quick and efficient. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were wonderful and spacious.
Sophia
I have a mixed review of this place. Staff was amazing. Breakfast buffet was really great! The place is beautiful and the room was in good order when we arrived. The location is away from the crowded stuff but close enough to make things very accessible. Here is the downside:
1. I cannot blame this one on the hotel itself, unless perhaps making the suggestion to have security walk the halls, but there were older kids running (stomping) through the halls up until midnight, making sleep really difficult. They did many laps...very frustrating. In general, you can feel a lot of footsteps (both above us and on our floor). Again, some people are just heavy footed or have kids with them (we had ours too), so I cannot blame it on the hotel. But we stopped our kids when they would jump around, and I wished more parents would think of other guests in the same way. Save that for the pool and playground :)
2. The main smoke alarm had an error at 1 am and woke everyone in loudest and worst way possible. I called the front desk to see if it was a real issue or just a mistake, and no one answered. The alarms turned off and that was it. No follow up announcement, nothing. But we were very shaken up!
3. When I turned on the light during said smoke alarm incident, there was a tiny roach next to my lamp...which ran away as soon as the light was on. Where there's one tiny roach, there are many hiding. I didn't report this to the front desk because at that point, I was pretty jaded.

Overall, the building is new and very clean/ well maintained; Our room was very nice and clean too! However, the dining room got a little dirty/messy during breakfast and there was no staff to do routine cleaning during breakfast.
Taylor at the front desk told us we had to pay $50 to check in 2 hours early.

The hotel was beautiful and the amenities were comparable. Housekeeping was poor. We stayed 5 nights and housekeeping was requested and our room was not cleaned. We only asked for clean towels and trash bags & were told we had to come get them from the front desk. One afternoon housekeeping came to our room unannounced. They opened the door and I told them what we needed. Placed the soiled towels at the door and they left. They didn’t leave replacement towels or leave trash bags. I found that quite suspicious. No knock and once they realized we were in the room they left and didn’t honor my request. I reported all that to the front desk with no sort of follow-up. Hotel guest had trash and dirty towels outside their room doors because it was not checked or cleaned. The large trash can on the floor was over filled with trashed.
Sarah
Everything was wonderful.

Very nice room, spacious and kitchen space is good. The air conditioning was sometimes too cold and then at night seemed to not turn on enough where it was a bit hot. Not a big issue really

Excellent stay everything was great

We were put in the farthest room away from everything except the door to a back parking lot. Ground floor with big windows and curtains that barley fit had to be closed thru the whole stay. I asked to be moved but were denied bc of booking thru hotels.com. Breakfast was usually cold and it was the worse tasting coffee. Fresh fruit looked old. One positive was large refrigerator & freezer to keep our ice packs frozen & cooler items all fit. The TV was on a wall between seating area & bed, it had to be swiveled side to side to watch from either space, but curtains blocked one side of TV, no way to pull out from the wall. Bed was comfortable but pillows were very flat. Bathroom layout was odd, no place to hang towels or clothing, hand soap in dispenser was on far end of sink counter instead of close to running water. We have stayed at many Homewood Suites in the past and had wonderful experiences, this one was not up to expected standards.
Cherrie
The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. My family had a wonderful time in Panama City

Everything about our stay was fantastic, except for housekeeping never coming to our room. Outside of that, our 6 day stay was phenomenal end to end. The room was spacious and clean. The amenities were beautiful and we enjoyed our nights tremendously. Breakfast was nothing special, but had something good to fuel our adventure each morning. Overall 9.5/10, amazing value for your money. Highly recommend staying here!

Clean rooms, pleasant staff, awesome breakfast!!! Will definitely stay again!!!
Mica
They did not have my room ready at check-in time. Had to wait 1 1/2 for room after being on the road. Power kept jumping off in hotel if you plugged something up. Breakfast items were not being replenished quickly. Gm said the were short staffed as someone called in and she was working herself unfortunately. Lastly, only 1 washer out of 3 was working. They said they were waiting for parts for others. Being spring break I feel they definitely should have brought one in from somewhere with the amount of people. Other than that, stay was ok
Zachary
Perfect stay. Good breakfast. Large and comfortable rooms.
