The hotel was generally good. The room was newer and more modern than it appeared in the photos. The cleanliness was satisfactory. However, in the morning, the staff chatted in the corridor for about half an hour and listened to something at a loud volume, which made it quite noisy. As a result, I had to wake up early. In addition, the hotel is also conveniently located, with a bus stop right in front and easy access to the city center. Overall, I didn’t experience any issues apart from the morning noise.

Really clean Hotel

Hotel was spotlessly clean 👌and close to shops and restaurants. There is a park and big shopping centre across the road. The Metro is also very close just a few steps away from hotel. The only thing we were disappointed about was our room was small but it really didnt matter. We had a lovely stay 😀

Great for mad cool festival stay

Stayed for mad cool festival and was very convenient for that. Service was excellent. The place looks a little dated and needed a couple of minor fixes but everything was super clean. The rooms were large and had everything you’d need. Right next to Legazpi metro and loads of restaurants around. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Great value all in all.

Reasonably priced hotel with free breakfast!

The front desk staff were friendly and the service in the cafeteria was very good. I requested our room door to be oiled (very squeaky) but they didn’t. Our towels were changed everyday although we said not to. The one elevator had a bad smell throughout our 3 day stay. The location though was great, lots of restaurants around the area and small supermarkets for fruits and water. If you want a reasonably priced hotel close to transportation with no frills, this hotel is good enough. Although it can use a little facelift.

The front desk staff were excellent. The staff spent time explaining what bus to take to get to the Reina Sofia Museum and where to eat in the area. 5 stars for the front desk staff!
The hotel is undergoing renovation and we were on the 4th floor where it was noisy and the smell of new paint was evident. This was very disappointing. Reasonable price to stay for a large city and breakfast was sufficient but nothing special. Staff at breakfast worked hard to serve you coffee and tea. I wish there were more options for tea, not just one kind and real lemon instead of the bottled lemon juice. Definitely a 3 star hotel as you do miss some of the extras but rooms were clean.

Great hotel, great location.

Great little hotel in a convenient part of Madrid. Very reasonably priced, and the location couldn’t be better - a 2 minute walk away from the Metro. The rooms aren’t very big, but that’s OK, as you shouldn’t be spending much time in them anyway if you’re in Madrid, you should be out enjoying the city. For that purpose, the Gran Legazpi is perfect.

My single room is very small. Effectively a shoe box with the bed turned around and under the window. Room is stuffy and on the edge of being smelly. The bed linen is thin and can be seen through. Very poor quality. I had better no star rated accom on the Camino in Northern Spain. This is a 3 star hotel but they have provided a no star room. Also very noisy as it is next to the lifts

I only booked this hotel as it is near my son’s flat and was within my budget. I wasn’t expecting much and thought it might be noisy.
It was actually comfortable, quiet and clean and the room was a good size. No complaints at all and very good value for money.

Hotel is 2 or 3 star, old and tired. Rooms were well cleaned although mine smelt like it was dosed with mens aftershave. Breakfast was very poor and basic. No tea and coffee in rooms, but available by vending machine. And not good. I stayed as part of a tour and would prefer to have been closer to city centre and a more updated hotel. Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Big advantage was that the window opened, which helped with the aftershave smell. Woman on front desk barely smiled although the gentleman who came on after was helpful.

Good for people not wanting to stay in the heart of Madrid's tourist area. Legazpi Metro Station is a 2 min walk from the hotel, and it gives easy access to the city center (line 3) as well as the airport (line 6, transfer to line 8). Hotel is small and simple; my only complaint is that half the rooms face la Chopera street and are very noisy at night when all the young people go out at the Mercadero (converted slaughterhouse that now houses many tapas bars and music areas). I heard shouting and noise until well past 4am.

Excellent and the best is that room has AC. Some people do not realize that each room it is equipped with its own unit and thermostat. The room even has a huge wooden storage closet and jacuzzi. I stayed in a double twin bed. Felt like a queen and cleanliness is wonderful and bed is comfortable as well.

Terrible location

I did not have a good experience at this hotel. The location is terrible in my opinion. It's right across the street from an entertainment center that had live music every night. There is also a bus stop right in front and a very busy intersection less than a block away. I literally got no sleep at night. I had to keep the window shut to keep some of the noise out, but then it was hot inside due to no air conditioning. The noise outside was entirely too much for a hotel location. If you must stay here, maybe request a room away from the street? It is convenient to the metro and a taxi stand, but loud noise would prevent me from ever staying here again. The bed was also very uncomfortable.

The hotel is bit of a distance from the centre of the city, which meant it was to far to walk and you needed to catch public transport, which is close by.
We had a quiet room on the upper floor away from the street. The room had a gap under door which meant that there was noise from the guests walking and talking in hallway at night. This was the only criticism of the property.

Stayed for 2 nights only,. Bedroom was alright, large, clean with fridge and wifi. However bathroom was considered dangerous. Extremely small area to contain bath/shower, vanity unit wc and bidet, needing to virtually climb over wc to access bath/shower.

Be careful when you approach reception. I had booked double room with window. But, I was first asked whether I need single room, I said, I need double room that too with window (I understand some rooms don't have window). I don't know hwy reception was trying to play smart..even if I had stayed in single room, hey would have charged me for double room, I am sure.

We turned up an hour early to be told people still in our room. Advised to come back in an hour, which we did, infact hour and a half later still no joy. Reception staff very apologetic and offered us penthouse suite in exchange. Very well appointed. No shower only jacuzzi bath with handset shower. No refreshment facilities , We enjoyed our stay. We were able to leave bags in hotel prior to book in and after check out.

We stayed for two nights. The room was small, but it matches the price. The room is clean, but there was an ant in the bathroom (yes just one). :-) The condition of the hotel and the room is old (cracks in the walls and old/torn curtain). But, the hotel is very near a metro station, which is a great way to get around Madrid.

The price is OK, the location is very good, the staff very charming, helpful, nice people. Free wifi, anytime, which is awesome. The only thing that I didn't like was that I could hear other rooms intimacy. There is a lot of internal noise that is shared across the walls! You guys need to work on that tho...

Hotel location misleading....

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, however, the shower leaked. Hotel details are misleading, it says it is close to Prado Museum, and Plaza Mayor this is not true. It is about 3.5km to the Plaza Mayor!

Great service and excellent room. While not in the center of Madrid, it's a short bus ride to the main tourist sights, or the Atocha train station, and the buses stop very close to the hotel. There's also a metro stop right there, which takes you to the long-distance bus station, or to the airport.

The only downside is very thin walls -- we could clearly hear the phone conversations of the person next door. A pair of earplugs solved that problem quickly, and didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the hotel.

Overall, the hotel was not worth the money. The elevator was small. The room were dingy and so were the corridors. The hotel staff were decent. The location was near the metro which was a plus. But the hotel was very uninviting. If you are going to Madrid as a tourist, this hotel will not enhance your experience in this city.

We only stayed one night because we needed a place to crash overnight due to our flight not being until the next day. I would stay here again.

The only things that could have been better is the free breakfast and the wifi situation.
The free wifi works well, however, I needed to continually enter in a long and confusing username and password repeatedly to keep it going on my smartphone.
When we checked in, we were told by the front desk that we had a free breakfast in the morning. The next morning, after we had started helping ourself to the food we were approached and then informed that our breakfast was not free. So we had to pay. Wasn't a big deal. Just wish they hadn't told us the breakfast was free when I checked in.

Overall I would stay here again though. I would get the bigger room next time.

Look, the Hotel was fine, I just thought that it was too expensive for what you get. The rooms are VERY small, not much more than the bed fit in out room. The bathroom was nice, but the shower was also very small. Which is weird, because the bathroom definitely could have fit a much bigger shower. It was a little out of the way, but that wasn't that big of a deal, because of the proximity to the Metro (very Close).

This is a nice, older hotel. The room was not huge but certainly adequate. Free wifi in room which was nice. Super friendly front desk. Held my bag all the next day after check out while I attended meetings. Convenient to the part of Madrid I needed to be in. If you are looking for a lively atmosphere...stay more downtown...This place was perfect for my needs however. It is easy to get to on public transport

シャワーの壁に固定する金具が緩くて、シャワーヘッドがゆっくり傾いていくのが若干使いづらい。スタッフは感じ良かったです。

Ganske fint nyoppusset rom med kjøleskap, rolig bakgård, stort og fint bad, og hyggelig betjening. Bygget er eldre, og det er veldig lytt mellom rommene, ut mot gangen og mot heisen man hører godt hele natta. Sentral plassering litt utenfor sentrum, med butikker og restauranter rett utenfor.

God frokost, men den siste halvtimen var det bare brød/rundstykker, ost og skinke igjen.
