Not our best experience

The property is old and the common areas not well maintained. The rooms we had initially were deplorable.
We ended up in a 2 bedroom \"suite\", if you can call it that. The bathroom door requires you to have good arm strength in other to open it. There was hair everywhere from the previous guest - that should tell you about how well the room was cleaned. The property can have potential if it is maintained.

The room was big enough for 3 people. No hand towels provided. Sofa bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast is juice, coffee and bread so not a real breakfast. You have to go to the lounge to get drinking water for your room daily. Elevators are a bit slow. Close to many good places to eat and to transportation options.

Location is excellent for food and shopping. Wan chai has 3 parallel streets offering hundreds of small restaurants and shops . We stay for 4 nights and eat at 3 different restaurants every day. No really need to go elsewhere, apart from sight seeing. MTR is 5 min away. Iclub is more like modern self serviced apartment than a hotel, small reception area and tea and coffee room on the 5 floor. but room cleaned daily with fresh towel. Wifi is relatively slow and limited to 4 devices ,after which you have to pay . For price and location , will return again.

We paid for a twin room a 3rd occupant. We were given room＃xx01. The sofa was pulled out to transform into a bed. It stretched almost one end of the width of the room to the other. V crammed for 3 people to move about the room.

For triple sharing family members, ask for rooms xx03 or xx04 instead. They are also sofa beds, but because of the double beds, the room has more space for 3 adults to move about in the room.

Mattress is old, it sinks in the middle. Uncomfortable. The room looks dirty but it's not dirty due to terrible cheap renovations. lifts floor are dirty. Entrance carpet is very dirty and old with many strains. Many tiles are cracked.

Hotel room was quiet, clean and well equipped with clean towels and beddings but a trifle small for 3 adults. Morning coffee and a variety of buns and pastries in a comfortably furnished lounge provided a lovely start each morning and was much appreciated. Transport options were great with mtr about 3 minutes away, tram and buses just outside the hotel. Thanks, iClub Wan Chai. Will stay again when visit Hong Kong.

Always a pleasure staying at the iClub, where I lived for 3 months during the pandemic. Happy that our lives are coming back, since that time, but Wan Chai has changed - still busy, but so much quieter in the evenings now. iClub is in the heart of it - a block away from the MTR. There's a Wellcome across the street. Lots of great food and coffee nearby too.

Great location close to the tram, subway, and lots of shopping. The hotel itself was definitely a little surprising upon check-in. It’s in a mixed space building with the first and second floors being used for an elderly rec center (also for healthcare resources). Not the end of the world but it definitely felt strange sharing elevators with sick elderly people going to the American-equivalent to an urgent care. Not exactly the hotel experience I was prepared for! My room wasn’t ready at check-in time so I had to wait until it was turned over. When I got to the room, it was obvious they had flew through the cleaning to turn it over to me quickly. The whole facility is definitely in need of some TLC but it’s not a bad option in the Wan Chai area.

Great location, 1 min from tram station, 5-8 min walk to Wan Chai MTR.

Our room (2 single beds sofa bed) was a good size and had microwave and a kitchenette counter/sink area. Also had closet, storage and actual space for suitcases to be laid out.

The sliding bathroom glass door was a bit too small, leaving small gaps on either side but no big deal if you’re a family! The shower was really big for HK standards and very strong water pressure which was awesome for tired feet.

24hr coffee/tea/water and very simple breads during breakfast. Would stay again!

It’s ok but not great

Checkin was straightforward. The room was clean. But the amenities were bare minimum. There are 2 soap dispensers in the shower but no shampoo which was strange. There’s a bath towel but no hand towel. The hair dryer cord was so short that one had to bend down to use it, which is annoying. Overall it felt like a 3 star hotel or hostel not a 4 star hotel.
Should have booked with Novotel which would be a proper 4 star hotel.

It was a nice surprise that my room would be in an apartment type which consisted of two rooms, a kitchen dining, and living area. I liked that I had the whole area to myself - it was like living alone in my own place for one night. My room was comfy enough. Didn't like that there wasn't a desk and chair in my room as it indicated in the picture when I booked the room in the first place. but since I had a living room, I can't complain too much about it. Wish that they would have provided cutleries as well otherwise what's the point of providing plates and cups. There were also obvious stains in some areas - not sure if it's not cleaned properly or it's permanent due to old condition.

Booked a room with sofa bed but it cannot use at all. The toilet door closed and cannot open. My friend was trapped and wait for technician help. That's why we changed another room.
The room (3 people with sofa bed) it's big. There have microwave at room.
Staff is nice but hotel really need to focus on maintenance.

Our stay in August

Our stay was fine. The location of the hotel is great, not far from Wan Chai MTR station.
We booked the iPlus Family room for 3 people, the beds are exactly like the picture, 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed. The beds were close to touching both walls, leaving a small gap to walk between beds. The room is an odd shape, which gives you a corridor before reaching the beds, not bad just something different to point out.
There are a lot of storage space and one safe. Our room also have a kettle and a mini freezer, like another hotel we stayed at, the freezer is only powered when the room card is in the room.
Our experience with the staff is fine, nothing memorable or to complain at.

Convenient location, poor internet

No doubt this hotel is in very convenient location, with easy access to tram, buses, subway (MTR), supermarkets and restaurants.

For me, the stay would be perfect if they have bedside power strip to charge my phone overnight. I know I could charge at the power outlet at the desk, but should be an option to charge bedside nowadays.

Also for some reason the internet disconnect every 5-10 min, very inconvenient for watching Youtube and Netflix, or remote desktop to work. The front desk staffs helped to provide a temporary solution but it would be great if the internet connection could be more stable.

Location is great. Convenient to get to places. However, when I asked front desk to call a taxi for me, he was not able to locate one for me and instructed me to hail a taxi standing outside the hotel. I ended up lugging 2 suitcases and a carry-on bag to the end of street to be more visible to flag down a taxi. I think arranging taxi part can be improved.

Location is convenient. The gym and lounge are nice extras. The bed is big and comfortable. Room and shower are spacious enough. However there were some hair on the bath towels and bed. There were some blood stains on the bed quilt. And worse of all is the lack of soundproofing in the room, I can hear people taking shower and moving on the bed the room above and next to us. Also can clearly hear people talking in the hallway. Really didn't have a good night rest. Despite the great location and spacious room, I really can't recommend this hotel due to the poor soundproofing.

The walk to the hotel was a bit far. Reception is small but staff are friendly and informative.
The room is clean and comfortable. However the shower/shampoo gel is a bit difficult to squeeze out. Wifi a bit slow.

The rooms are big but they were cold in winter. In January, I turned the thermostat in the room up to 35C, as high as it goes, and i was still cold. But the gym was small but good. In the neighborhood, McDonalds is across the street. The pizza restaurant next door serves good food, and you can get a 20% discount if you show your room key.

Great location and excellent value for money

I loved the hotel and would love to give it 5 stars. Great location - MTR <5 min, supermarket and restaurants directly over the road. Plus great value for money and staff very kindly let us check out late because my daughter was sick.

Great showers and comfortable beds. Only thing missing is some finishing touches on the rooms. No rubbish bin in kitchen, minimal plates/cutlery etc. An extra 10% there and it would be a stand out.

Will definitely be staying again though.

Great location, affordable price

The iBusiness Deluxe room is spacious and affordable comparing to other hotels. The hotel location is great, only a couple minutes walk from MTR. Check-in and check-out only took me a minute or two, very efficient.

Not fancy but a typical 3 star hotel

Difficult to find the hotel, entrant not easy to spot from the street. No \"red carpet\", neon lights, bellboy at the door to say \"I am here !\"
Check in/out was great, very helpful staff. Again no bellboys, so if bring you are bringing a lot of luggages, you are on your own.
Room is clean, minimalist, hard floor, no carpets. Still has the old fashion squeezy multi-use soap dispenser, and no shampoo. Dropped major points on this.
Location was decent for food and shopping. Wan Chai MTR was about 350m away, 5 mins walk. Fitness center as advertised has one treadmill, one stationary bicycle and a work out station. Fortunately it was not too busy when I was there.
Overall not fancy hotel, it is comfortable for a single traveler with short stay. No luxury or wow factor.

My boyfriend and I chose i-Club because a friend of ours recommended it. The hotel itself is located about 5 min away from the Wan Chai MTR station which made it SUPER convenient. The standard room that I booked was on the smaller side, but was completely fine for us as we didn't spend much time there and it was clean. What I wasn't completely satisfied with was the service. When we were checking in on our first night, there were two female receptionists at the front desk. While one of them was busy checking us in, my boyfriend asked the other what the Wifi network was called. She had just picked up the phone, but still completely ignored him and mumbled something to the other woman in Chinese. What she didn't know,was that despite us being tourists, we understand Chinese- and what she said was \"Can't he see I'm busy on the phone?\". Which if she had just said \"Give me a sec, I'm on the phone\", would not have been an issue to me as at least she is acknowledging that he asked her a question. Other that this interaction, all of the other staff were really nice and helpful- even the housekeeping staff! The next morning, there was another person at the front desk that was very helpful when we asked where the best place was to get a SIM card- he even made sure to tell us to shop around since all of the shops sell at different prices. Would stay here again on my next visit.

A lady staff with her arrogant conduct made me feel so disappointed with my stay in this hotel.
As a VIP member of Expedia.com in normal days (monday to thursday) I received a declined request to upgrade my room claiming that in her view everyday was highest season days neither in normal days after Christmas holidays. There was room available for it but she stubborn in receive the difference between the rooms price knowing that two stays before my room in same conditions was upgraded. What made me feel astonished was her arrogant conduct that I never experienced before in same hotel.

Not a bad location, quite nice rooms.

I checked out a left my bags with the concierge for a few hours before my flight. It was not until I arrived at the airport that I realised my Kindle and also my earphones were missing from my cabin baggage. That particular bag did not leave my side between leaving the hotel and checking in at the airport. My fault though as the pocket containing the items was not secured. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth though to think that your bags have been gone through and that they were not secure in the hands of the hotel employees.
