Comfortable and *very* spacious room, with helpful staff and an extremely quiet location.

It's an extremely walkable area with plenty to do, plus easy MTR access. The hotel starts on floor 19 (if I recall) of a much larger property that's accessed from a separate elevator, so it's a little bit of a maze to get from the street to your room. But the benefit is that it's one of the quietest hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in.

I highly recommend it.

7 nights stay. Nice location, easy access to all kinds of transits. Lots of restaurants around. Could be a bit overwhelming to access the hotel at the beginning as there are a few entrances, but on the flip side, more convenient if you know the way. Staffs are helpful and professional, especially the house keeping lady. Room is clean and quiet. Very comfy. 👍👍👍👍👍

This was a hidden gem of a hotel! We loved everything about it and would definitely stay again. Room size was huge for Hong Kong. The staff was so kind and friendly, especially the woman who cleaned our room. The hotel was in a great location, very clean and comfortable, and a great value for the money.

I gave this hotel a 5 star rating. I'm very happy with this hotel, whether it's location, cleaniness, amenities, staff, and value for money, they're excellent. Hotel is centrally located on the HK island side with Wan Chai station or Admiralty station nearby. Downstairs is a shopping center and hotel has a nice swimming pool. The room is spacious compare to others in HK. I think the best is the shower room. The water pressure is very good and the overhead shower makes you feel like under a waterfall. I would book this hotel again if I go to HK.

We booked a higher room with harbour views and wow - it's an amazing view! Yet, unlike other hotels with good views in Hong Kong, this hotel is also located in a fantastic area in Wan Chai near great restaurants and neighbourhoods and transit - easy to get to all the best spots. This was the start of our honeymoon and what a fantastic start - they upgraded us to a huge suite. Extremely clean and comfortable hotel with top service. Would definitely return!

Brand new hotel in the heart of Wanchai. Close to subway and the north south link between Kowloon and hong kong island. Room is clean and very good size. Hotel offers quite abundant of drinking water which is great. Close to a lot of local restaurants and bars. We stay for over two weeks and there are a good number of local laundry services around the hotel within walking distance.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and also our wedding anniversary and they gave us a little cake to celebrate. Would definitely stay here again if we were in Hong Kong again. We were upgraded to a suite as well. Great views from our room.

It's important to allow extra time for the multiple elevators you need to take, especially when there are large groups all trying to use them at once. I found myself dreading the transition from my room to outside and vice versa. Especially because it creates frustration and people start acting aggressive... Rushing in, hoarding the buttons. It's comical once or twice, but if I were the hotel, I would 1) reconsider the algorithm that allocates the elevators and 2) working with event organizers to find ways to avoid the deluge. Perhaps I just got particularly unlucky with the timing of my stay and these big groups, but it ended up being a daily frustration.

Excellent rooms and location on HK island.
You must ask for bay view (we did not) or you get to look at a boring Forrest.
In hotel meals are $$$ - but it HK - just walk 3-5 blocks for great food and very reasonable prices.
We had family suite with adjoining living room/kitchenette great layout.
Gym and pool were perfect !!!!

The room is spacious, modern, and clean. However, the elevators were an annoyance because we have family in different floors and we had to change elevators and couldn’t go up to visit without a key which means a family member would have to come out and meet us in the lobby to take us up. It is fine if it was just us but with a big party it is challenging to navigate the elevators.

Excellent new hotel in Wan Chai. Access to the hotel is through a mall, if travelling from Wan Chai MTR, but once you've mastered the route - and the lifts - it's an excellent hotel. I was lucky and was allocated a high floor room with a view towards the harbour- spectacular! My room was spacious, well-equipped and comfortable; staff were unfailingly helpful - top marks. Both the gym and the breakfast were excellent. My view - this is a good choice for travellers (as long as thry like lifts!) - especially if you get offered a good rate; I will certainly check the rates at this hotel whenever I next visit Hong Kong.

Excellent location, clean and serene rooms. The rooms facing the mountains felt like a nice retreat from the concrete jungle. Buffet breakfast is a good value with great food (compared to US standards).
Big pool but no hot tub, but the gym is overall very nice.

Hotel’s room is spacious, great location near train station, many stores and restaurants for easy access at any time during the stay. Many detail amenities, such as cell phone charging ports, chairs in restroom and access of various room lights.

5* by name, and definitely 5* by nature! We were very kindly upgraded to an executive room, which was immaculate and very well kept during our sta.

The location is phenomenal in wan chai and close to wan chai MTR station. Very easy (and cheap!) to get across the island, over to the mainland and beyond!!

Amazing restaurants within walking distance and perfect location with the food district downstairs, market and Hopewell mall with a variety of shops. Absolutely perfect, thank you!

Came back after a very pleasant stay but was disappointed this time. My room was on a lower floor and the bathroom had a certain sewage-like smell. If the air conditioning in the room was kept low (ie higher temperature), it had a certain smell too. That meant we had to keep the temperature pretty low.

The television and phone in our room weren’t working at all. The staff were friendly and quickly offered to move us to another room, which we appreciated.
However, the process took a very long time—we ended up waiting quite a while before the change could happen. We even had to move our own luggage down to the lobby and collect the new keys directly from the staff there.
It felt like there might not have been enough staff on duty to handle things efficiently, which unfortunately wasted a lot of our time and made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be.
Overall, the team tried to help, but the delay was disappointing.

Really loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms are lovely. Please be aware that the twin beds here are narrower than a US twin size bed. All the staff (front desk, bell staff, housekeeping, and elevator attendants) were wonderful and attentive. Hotel is close to buses and MTR with many options for food and shopping.

This was my second time staying at Hopewell Hotel, and I loved it even more than the first! The location in Wan Chai is incredibly convenient — easy access to transportation makes getting around Hong Kong effortless. There are plenty of great food options nearby, and having daily amenities close by made everything so comfortable and stress-free.

The hotel itself feels welcoming and well-run, and the overall experience was smooth from check-in to check-out. I truly enjoyed my stay and would happily return again. Highly recommend!

This hotel is brand new and it is super clean! It is in a very convenient location, and there are a ton of restaurants around. However, what set this hotel apart is the staff. They are so courteous and kind. My 80 year parents stayed for 5 nights during Chinese New Year, and they went above and beyond to assist my parents. Very impressed! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Hong Kong next time.
