The hotel itself was very busy and it was hard to find a quiet space.

They closed the pool for my whole eight day stay without prior notice which I think it quite poor. I won’t stay again

Perfect hotel, very difficult to get in and out of the hotel room, jumping from lifts to lifts. It gets tiring after few days. But the amenities and service is outstanding from the hotel. Big hotel means big numbers of guests.

Really impressed with this hotel. Very helpful and efficient reception staff. The hotel is immaculate, our room was great with super views of the mountains. It was cleaned everyday and towels, water etc replenished. The hotels location was amazing too!

This was my second time staying at Hopewell Hotel, and I loved it even more than the first! The location in Wan Chai is incredibly convenient — easy access to transportation makes getting around Hong Kong effortless. There are plenty of great food options nearby, and having daily amenities close by made everything so comfortable and stress-free.

The hotel itself feels welcoming and well-run, and the overall experience was smooth from check-in to check-out. I truly enjoyed my stay and would happily return again. Highly recommend!

This hotel is brand new and it is super clean! It is in a very convenient location, and there are a ton of restaurants around. However, what set this hotel apart is the staff. They are so courteous and kind. My 80 year parents stayed for 5 nights during Chinese New Year, and they went above and beyond to assist my parents. Very impressed! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Hong Kong next time.

The hotel room was spotless and had a great layout with amazing water pressure for shower. The steam room, sauna and gym area were super nice. The pool looked good but was closed while we were there (but we knew that would be the case). The staff was super friendly.

There are many people who write about the elevator situation and that it is very confusing how to get to the actual hotel. They are right that there are two elevators, one to get to the hotel lobby on the 19th floor and then another to get to your room. It is not confusng at all and if you are going on the wrong elevator then you are just not aware of your surroundings and you need to pay more attention to things as it is clearly marked.

If you are taking a cab , it is best to take them form the 18th floor just beside the Denza car dealership.

The location was great and close to the MTR and easy to get to the airport everything Hong Kong has to offer.

I would definitely recommend the Hopewell.

Our room was very spacious, comfy and luxurious. On checkin we were given a surprise welcomed gift and a sweet welcome note from the manager. The staffs were also very friendly and welcoming even though we arrived very late in the evening.

The hotel is conveniently located with lots of quality dining options. I would love to return and stay for more nights next time.

I decided to give them some commons in the hotel because I think they should improve and give more attention to their staff. I am not sure anyone has encountered the same problems. The first night, the staff came to set up our sofa bed. She dropped off 2 extra towels for us. Before I even touched the towel, I saw hair on top. I really would like to call her back, but decided not to. I thought about it, maybe normal, I just not use that towel and put it into the closet.

On the 3rd night of my stay, I found another hair on the towel again. Then I was extremely dissatisfied. I paid for the room price and chose this hotel because it says 5-star hotel and new. I expected a higher standard for hygiene. I found that it was a little disgusting to kept having hair on the towel. This was disappointing for the hotel. I stayed in 6 hotels over the 17 night trips. Hopewell was my last stay in HK. There were no issue for my previous 5 hotels.

The hotel front desk had many staff members on duty and very nice people. I stayed 3 nights and paid an extra person and a sofa bed. Normally, the hotel will set the sofa bed prior to check-in or immediately when the customer checks in if they haven't done so. I waited 15 mins in the room after getting the room card, then I told them I would go out and not to come into the room. When I went back, I told them to send someone to set up the sofa bed, waited 30 mins. The hotel lacks room service staff and a hair net is highly recommended.

The adjoining rooms for our family of 4 adults was wonderful! Living room, dining area between the two rooms. The rooms were spacious & the beds so comfortable. Moreover, there was an efficient, silent washer-dryer in the bathroom, great for our 3-night stay. Overall, highly recommended!

I wish there was a higher rating than 5 stars on Hotels.ca I have been very nomadic for decades and have stayed in a lot of hotels and the Hopewell Hotel does EVERYTHING right! The rooms are so comfortable and there are so many little things that are done well. Great bedding, an amazing shower, excellent amenities, a Nespresso machine for use free of charge and free water every day and great room cleaning every day. The breakfast room was huge and had a large array of both Asian and Western options and omelettes to order, and delicious waffles, pancakes as well as health concious options. This hotel has over 1000 rooms and their reception desk handled it all without any stress and with efficiency. It was so nice spending 3 nights at this amazing hotel and highly recommend this property.

The hotel is convenient to a certain extent but not so if you are travelling with elderly who has limited walking capabilities. Service is not consistent - staff helping to get cab and housekeeping are providing good service consistently, people at the check in and breakfast place are not really so. The hotel can provide more information on how to get around more conveniently since majority of the public transport to other parts of the HK is located a few streets behind the hotel. Overall, the hotel stay has been pretty reasonably good

A great choice for a comfortable stay! The facilities are brand new and the rooms are spotless. I loved the memory foam pillows (available upon request) and the super comfy bed. The staff are the highlight here—very friendly and always ready to help. They also arranged a taxi service for my trip to the airport, which was very convenient. There's a mall and plenty of restaurants are right downstairs. It’s also a short, easy walk to the subway. I would definitely stay here again!

Difficult for street access after 10:30pm. Feels like curfew during school years 😂 no direct access to street level as residents need to take elevator to the 3F then walk through the mall to get to the street.
Looong line up for check in and out. You can check in anytime but if room is not ready, you got to line up again for your room card which is a nuisance. Could work much better if there is concierge counter just for picking up
room cards.
Hotel began operation in 2024 but room decor is quite outdated.
However, there is no smell of smoke which is a huge plus. It is also very quiet and clean.

The only drawback was the inconvenience of getting to my room via different elevator rides. It was quite confusing for senior travellers.

Hopewell hotel is difficult to figure out how to get to from the Wan Chai MTR initially.

There is are two lifts you need to take to get to level 19, level 19 is where the lobby is.

It’s a brand new hotel which is great because it’s connected to the mall. There is a Starbucks in the hotel on Level 3 (near the escalator off the main road).

Lots of food places around, but a lot of places close at 9pm for dinner.

Clean room, the staffs are great and very helpful. The only issue is the elevator and the confusion of the entrance to the lobby and then to the room. You have to go through different levels of elevator, and the line in waiting and walking from one place to another were very confusing. The place was packed with people and different stores and restaurants. One can waste a lot of time from all these kiosk and totally lost in a big maze. If there is any emergency like fire or disaster then it would not be a safe place to stay.

The use of elevators is the most confused. Always line up. Looks like staff and facilities cannot absorb the volume of guests. Non-hotel guests can use the hotel elevator causing unnecessary congestions.
