The location is convenient as the train station is really near. There is a nearby airport limousine bus as well for the tourists. Lots of food around the area. Their complimentary bread and coffee/ tea in the morning is lovely too, as well their free bottled water. Staff communicates very well and really accomodating. But when it comes to the hotel room itself, the room feels so outdated, old and dusty. The carpet is really dark and are not vacuumed or cleaned enough. The ceiling of the bathroom has molds and so is their windowsill. The bathroom sink has heavy duty duct tape and the cupboards has some tape as well. The airway panel of the room is dusty as well. Their rooms are not well lit and some days the sewage smells as well. The entirety of the hotel needs an upgrade.

Staying here was truly the best decision we could have made! The location is unbeatable, just steps from the train station, with a 7-Eleven right behind the hotel, a FamilyMart directly across the street, a pharmacy within a short walk, and plenty of great restaurants nearby if you want to stay close for the evening.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the unlimited complimentary water is such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast is perfect for a quick bite before heading out to explore for the day.

Most importantly, the staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to help. We felt so well taken care of throughout our stay. I’ll be recommending this hotel to everyone I know, we absolutely loved it!

The room is very comfortable for the Japanese standards. The hotel is in a very convenient area, with many restaurants and with a lot of subway lines interconnected. It is so easy the move around and it is so close of Ginza and Tokyo Downtown.
The bed was comfortable with good sheets.

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect and super convenient. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab food anytime.

The hotel provides free unlimited simple breakfast, as well as water, tea, and coffee throughout the day — which is awesome and very thoughtful.

It’s also incredibly convenient for shopping, as Don Quijote is just right behind the hotel — perfect for last-minute shopping.

Plus, there are two stations very close by, making transportation extremely easy.

We spent our honeymoon here to start our time in Japan and absolutely loved the staff and service and setting. Perfect location for getting around Tokyo and the room was super comfortable. Also very helpful with luggage forwarding to the next hotel in Kyoto for us.

The staff had a very nice card celebrating our honeymoon in our room. Really recommend this place for anyone traveling to Tokyo.

We had a king size corner room on the 9th floor. For Tokyo, this was a larger room which we appreciated. They also had a pack and play set up for our 14 month old which was very helpful! The room itself felt dirty and dusty. The bedding and linens were clean but in the corners of the room and walls of the room there was visible dust. At night we were a bit congested bc of the dust. If you are needing laundry-they don’t have onsite but provided us directions to a coin operated laundromat about a 08 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was very continental-luckily convenience stores are all so close and a delicious coffee shop is just across the street of the hotel.

I typically don’t leave reviews, but was somewhat grossed out from my experience here relative to the other Japanese hotels I stayed at on my trip. The room felt and looked dirty, very surprised to see how much dust was in the room. I’d be curious to know what kind of vacuum they’re using. I felt the need to wash my hands after touching anything in the room. Even the shower head was dirty with a build up of limescale and/or mildew. I was told the hotel was transitioning with new cleaning staff, so I guess maybe I got back luck with this booking. The room had no receptacle near the bed and needed to use an extension cord, not the end of the world, but just odd and a first for me in a hotel. Staff and location were great, and grateful for the free water that was provided.

i stayed here based on other reviews about proximity to transportation which is very accessible and close. plenty of eateries and konbini nearby. one perk that i love anywhere, is free water. the hotel has free water in the lobby. the hotel and the room itself were dark and dingy, felt old. could use some paint and carpet cleaner. good air conditioning. good water pressure. comfortable bed. they provide pajama and slippers - love that. the lobby is small with minimal seating/lounging. the room i booked was TINY, as i expected but it worked as a solo traveller. on that note, and ONLY a PREFERENCE of mine, the housekeeping staff (that i saw) were all male and as a female solo traveller, i opted out of cleaning services until check out. although, they were helpful in swapping towels and trash daily. overall, not bad but i won’t stay again at the price i paid.

Excellent staffs, services are superb, great location close to 2 Tokyo metro stations within 5minutes walk. Overall lighting just too dark all over from lobby to elevator, hallways to room are inadequate, the lighting represents a haunted house in a horror movie. It’s is a good place to stay for a couple nights since sightseeing in Tokyo occupied most time of the day . Price and location are good for budget travelers

The room is pretty clean, staff were nice and there were a lot of restaurants and convenient stores around, the subway was also just a few minutes away. The main issue i had with this hotel was the sound proofing. Unfortunately my room was located right in front of some cleaning closet, so almost every day at 5:30am i can hear a trolley being pulled and the door opening, its loud as if i am outside. I can also hear people laughing and talking outside, although its faint and i can sleep through it, other people may not be able to. The hallway is also an open concept, so you can hear other people on other floors. If some dude is being loud on another floor, you will be able to hear it. Also there is only one location for the outlet which is on the desk, that made it a bit of a hassle to charge electronics and blow dry your hair. Overall its a decent stay.

The hotel is okay — not great but not terrible either. It is convenient to the exit 10 of the red line of subway which is convenient to get to toyko main station, shinjuku, Ginza.

There are lots of food options and convenience stores around the area.

The hotel interior and rooms are dark - black and grey. The bathroom is nice with the toilet and shower separated. Overall, would recommend due to convenience to metro line and price point is not too bad (as long as you book early).

Unfortunately, this has been the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve had. During my four-day stay, my room key failed every single day. On the first day, staff had to replace the door batteries, but even after that, I repeatedly had to go downstairs to request replacement keys and sometimes multiple times a day. This constant issue was both inconvenient and frustrating, especially given the expectations of reliable service in a hotel stay.

After initial misgivings about the size of the room, it was actually fine for my 6-night stay. Basic breakfast provided (cereals, bread/cakes, tea/coffee and fruit juices). Free bottled water was really handy as weather was really hot for the first few days.
Lots of places to eat nearby. An English pub next door! Metro station less than 5-minute walk away.
Maybe extend the shelf in the bathroom so there's somewhere to put a toiletries bag?
Also need to refix the wooden panel above the fridge (double sided sticky stuff wasn't working - sorry, should have reported this at reception)

The room was a bit deceiving by photo. We opted for a larger room and if we got it, then it isnt as large as you think. Also the breakfast, is not really a breakfast. It's bread put out with butter and a couple other grain options. Other than that, everything was convenient to get to. We have no other complaints and will be ready to come back soon!

The best things about this hotel is that it’s in an amazing location for trains. Less than a 5 minute walk to the station to get all the trains we needed to explore for 4 days in Tokyo. Lots of nice coffee shops and places to eat near by. The staff were helpful. When I told them we were staying for my boyfriend’s birthday they put wine in the room and gave us late check out. We booked a superior room as we were concerned that some rooms in Japan are tiny. Our room was more than big enough and the bed was huge. If we were coming back to Tokyo we would 100% stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.

Pay close attention to the type of room you book (smoking/non-smoking). Upon changing my reservation to add an extra night, my room was changed from non-smoking to smoking. We entered the room, and it was a noticeable odor, which was really bothersome for us (we are not smokers). We called down to the front desk and they were able to move us the following day, and she did so graciously. She also opened the window for us for the evening to help us get some fresh air in. In the same room, we did find a small bug in the bathroom, which just gave us a little pause as to the overall cleanliness.

The hotel’s location is conveniently located next to many eateries and the train station. We appreciated the complementary water bottles in the lobby, which were super helpful considering how hot the days were.

The staff were nice, but the facility is old and run down. Our room was poorly cleaned and dirty. There was only one usable power socket, and every other power socket had a dusty rat’s nest of cables plugged into it that looked like a fire hazard. No refunds on cancellation, so look somewhere else. The cost per value is bad at this hotel, and you can get something better at a similar price in the same neighborhood.

The rooms have a unique, retro design which is appealing, but they are in serious need of an update. The level of cleanliness was a bit questionable with lots of dust everywhere. The air conditioner also blew black dust everywhere. The breakfast option was also a bit sad with limited options, and no communal dining space, which means you must take food items back to your room.

The Akasaka Granbell was convenient, clean, and comfortable. My room was spacious with amenities available. My only complaint was my room did not have any way to charge devices except a prong outlet (no USB etc) and some aspects seemed slightly dated. The location is very convenient to the metro near the Ginza and Marunouchi line which can access most areas of Tokyo. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

Extremely friendly staffs, everyone of the front desk lady deserve a medal in excellent customer service, they speak English well, all international customers will be will attended here, my only complain is the unreasonable room size, too small to comfort even for one person. It seem to be well cleaned but when you have a room this size, it still feel unhygienic. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a family, but If you are a solo traveler on a budget, then hell yea this place is a wonderful option. Oh did I mention they offer free bottled water? It’s a bonus

Terrific stay for my 5 nights in Tokyo. First, the location: the metro is literally 2 mins away. 4 stops to Tokyo main station or Shinjuku. Cannot beat that! Second, cleanliness. Not sure what others have mention, but as a traveler from North America the hotel was clean and spotless. 3rd: minimalist breakfast provided to start your day. 4th: free bottled water at the lobby for guests which is much appreciated. Cannot recommend highly enough will stay here again on my next visit to Tokyo.

This area was perfect for my boyfriend and me. It has many food options and 2 family marts basically right in front also a 7/11 right behind the hotel. I recommend exploring around the hotel you’ll find a lot of cool fun places. The train station is like a 2 minute walk from the hotel and you could get to all the main areas very easily. The hotel itself is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again

Staff was awesome! And the rooms were very very clean. We accidentally booked smoking rooms without knowing and the lady at the reception did everything possible to change us to a non-smoking room for the entire stay.

The hotel was so well placed. Literally 2 minutes from the Asakusa-Mitsune station which gave us access to all the main areas of Tokyo with little to no transfers.

Personally I really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a quiet area, it was a 2-minute walk to the station, there was a family Mart and several restaurants nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly, they spoke English, the cleaning staff was attentive, my room was big. The only thing I had issue with was the internet which went out all the time. I didn't ask about it, but yeah it wasn't a very stable connection so my phone was always disconnecting. But overall, I would totally stay here again

A great location with plenty of convenient stores and restaurants near by. 2 minute walk from metro with access to lines that take you to all the top spots you will be seeing on your trip. My room was a single, double bed and was very small. If you have a lot of luggage, be prepared to repack it everyday so you have room to walk. Staff was friendly, free water stocked at all times in lobby, small breakfast with bread and cereal in lobby. Down side is it is dirty. Room was dirty and beat up. Mold on the window sill and curtains. Bathroom needs a deep clean. Hallway smelled and was musty every day.

If you are big guy, this hotel definitely is not suitable for you, if you use a lot of the electronic devices and need to recharge the same time, they only have one outlet even though they have an extension cord for two extra outlet, but you will take the risk of overloading them. Most of the staff are nice.
