While the rooms are tiny in comparison to the \"standard\" US hotel room, it was still a very comfortable stay, close to major transit hubs, and exceptionally clean. Fresh towels were delivered daily and all necessary info was readily available on the room TV.

No significant complaints. Good value for money here. I wish the room was a tad more spacious and the hallways definitely showed significant signs of wear, but otherwise, clean, safe, comfortable. Rooms are small, but that's Tokyo. Super central location. 2 minute walk to metro line that connects to many main Tokyo lines. Would stay here again.

Bathroom needs a redesign because it looks dark, and because of the material used on the bathroom ceiling it smells damp.

The staff were friendly and close to a train station but wouldn’t stay at this APA hotel again. The rooms and hallways were extremely outdated compared to other APA hotels, and compared to the recently renovated lobby. They might be updating soon, but in October 2025, it was not good.

If you sleep warm, and like the AC on, be warned it might be a “heat day”. If it’s cold outside, the hotel will not let you use the AC. They program the thermostat to just stay on heat. When I asked the front desk about it, since I thought it was broken, they said it was a “heat day”. It was overcast the whole time we were there so most of the days we did not have the thermostat on since it was only “heat”.

Additionally, the bathrooms had mold in it. The first day we checked in, the next day, they were performing bathroom maintenance. That wasn’t an issue, but nothing seemed to have changed. Shower head tubing was leaking extremely bad whenever we used it.

I’m sad about this experience because I like APA hotels but just wouldn’t stay at this location again.

(Leaving 3 stars because I do not like leaving 2)

Really liked this hotel. Nothing extravagant, just a nice clean hotel close to the station and plenty of food options. Pretty small rooms by American standards but that’s not a bad thing or a negative for the hotel. Just mentioning for other Americans who may be reading. If you’re staying in the room with another guest, make sure you really like that person because it’s a tight space.

Italian restaurant attached at lobby. Very quaint. Easy listening music. Nice staff.
Breakfast buffet in the morning, if purchased. Sufficient quantity; reasonable priced.
Comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. Bath towels changed everyday.
I have been at this hotel 3 or 4 times. It is well managed. I will continue to use this site when I visit Tokyo. Maximum of two city blocks walking distance from the Metro subway station. Two major subway lines - one line to Tokyo Station; other line, to Ginza shopping area.

Not all staff members speak and understand English, But they try and use Google Translate. So I truly appreciate that. My stay was comfortable and I had easy access to transportation. APA hotel is just 5mins away from the train station. They would also help you book airporter so you can send your luggage to the airport or to your next hotel

We stayed at three different APA motels during our Japan trip, in each, we had booked a double room, the first two APA hotels were great however this hotel in particular was horrendous. Our double room was considerably smaller than the double room we had at the two previous APA motels. The positioning of the room was extremely inconvenient, with the TV being to the left of the bed on the wall so you can’t even lay in bed watching tv really. The door stop was nailed into the ground at the end of the bed and the amount of times we stubbed our feet on this!! The shower was leaking, barely anywhere to put our luggage (other hotels we could store it under the bed) We asked twice for a new room, not to be upgraded but to be moved to another double room however they would not do this without charging us extra. The check in process was annoying, having to do it ourselves on a self service checkin which caused problems when our reservation couldn’t be found. We were constantly hearing what was happening in the hallway and when the cleaners were cleaning, right outside our room door was all the dirty washing etc which was frustrating. The room itself had its issues in presentation, multiple marks on the mirror, carpet coming apart, wall paper scratches etc. we weren’t impressed with this APA HOTEL and they were not very accommodating when I wanted to change rooms considering we were there for 7 nights.

I have used this hotel for many years, but they never know how to prepare for the fixed needs of old customers. Every time I need to ask them to provide the same service again. At the same time, they don't have the concept of first come first service. At least in my opinion, they just didn’t pay attention and just follow the rules. So they do too many repetitive and unnecessary things and waste too much time. In modern society, this attitude of not working smart will be eliminated sooner or later.

Fantastic location in a bustling area only a couple of minutes walk from the station which has links to everywhere you need and well placed in the city to see all the sights.
As expected the room was very small, even by standards of other rooms we have stayed in in Japan, but it had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable.

I love how close this hotel is to the subway station and I really enjoyed how quiet and safe it felt. Unfortunately I felt that the rooms were very small (which was expected) but it was quite difficult to get around the room. We made do with it. The worst part was when we downgraded to a small semi double. The room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room, so I tried to air it out by opening the windows. Otherwise our checkin and check out was quick and efficient. I also really appreciated the kindness of the staff and the ability to easily store our luggage!

Great location, it was my first time in Japan so I feel lucky to have picked a good location with easy metro access. The rooms are small, but that's no surprise. I didn't need much from the front desk, though I hope for a bit better English as I had some questions about getting a metro card. I would probably go for a double room next time, even as a solo traveler just for some added space, but overall, good solid pick!

Rooms are a little bigger than a closet but the value is in the hotel’s location…situated about 2 minutes from the Asakusa-Mitsue Station. The station has 4 metro lines running through it so you can travel efficiently to any must-see in Tokyo. The hotel is a great place to take a hot bath and shower and rest for the night. It’s what we wanted and fit our needs and budget. Bonus: the little Italian restaurant downstairs had a good wine selection and perfect for a night cap during our stay.

Great place to stay near subway lines/stations at an affordable rate! The staff were very friendly. They also offer breakfast (for an extra fee), which made it easy to grab a bite to eat before the start of the day. The rooms are a bit tight for two people, I would say the rooms are a good size for a solo person in the room (considering needing space for luggage). Though overall a great stay!

I spent 7 days at this hotel and really enjoyed it. I'd previously read about the rooms being small, so I knew what to expect (and that didn't bother me). Everything else worked perfectly: shower, wifi, AC. The minibars and microwaves are very convenient. Super clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.

The particular room we choose was very small, but very functional. If I had known though I would have upgraded to a larger room. Good size for one person but difficult for two. The room itself was very nice, bed and bedding was very nice. Shower and bathtub were great. The amenities such as shampoo and conditioner were excellent. Staff was very helpful and professional. Many restaurants and bars in walking distance. Train station very close.

En este hotel hay muchos puntos negativos, en la ciudad mas grande del mundo donde los hoteles se ocupan por turistas, es increíble que los desayunos empiecen a las 7 am y por lo tanto no podemos desayunar antes de un tour, el único dia que lo aprovechamos vimos la baja calidad que tienen los alimentos, el hotel es viejo, la cama es aguada y vieja y las sabanas no tienen resorte y se salen, el lugar es diminuto y no bien aprovechado por que colocan una mesa con una silla y un banco en el único mini pasillo que hay y que bloquea el armario, estuvimos en un hotel Mas pequeño en Kyoto y el espacio estaba mejor aprovechado.
Yo pague 3 noches y es tan incomodo que me fui una antes a dormir mas cómoda al aeropuerto.
Tampoco nos hicieron la limpieza de la habitación por que debes avisar y eso nadie nos lo explico.
No te ponen botella de agua cada noche, solo la primera noche.
Además afuera de nuestro cuarto estaban siempre las bolsas de ropa sucia y basura que recolectaban durante el día de las habitaciones
El único punto a favor es la localización pero aun así NO LO RECOMIENDO POR QUE LA SUCIEDAD ES INTOLERABLE.

The room was very small but we made it work. A lot of dust on things like our purifier/humidifier showing it had not been wiped down in a long time. We received new towels but trash wasn’t taken out for the 3 days we were there. With such a small space this would have been nice. The location of the hotel was great. Quick access to train stations and plenty of places to eat and shop.

Do note that the room is pretty small and occasionally when the weather gets cold the room’s AC automatically changes to heating which you have no control of ( I bring this up bc this might be a deal breaker ) but if you have no issues with that you’d definitely enjoy your stay.

The room was clean and nice. It was of course a little small, but that is to be expected. It's a business hotel I'm pretty sure. So it's just meant to sleep in after you explore. Inexpensive. Amazing restaurants in the area. 5 minute walk from 2 different stations. I wish the window opened a little more in my smoking room. But I have no real complaints. Very happy with my stay. 5/5 stars.

When I came back there was a young lady that told me no. I told her that it wasn’t me that requested it. I just wanted someone to clean it. It was a no to that. My room also smell like an ashtray

Cons: we booked the double room which was very small (even by NYC hotel standards), and should only be for a solo traveler, as there was pretty much no room to move between my partner and i with our 2 suitcases and the full size desk in the room.

They don’t provide free Bottle of water only one for 4 days stay not like other HTL free for daily and I was unlucky to have noisy neighbors resided around my room. I guess because the class of some clients were not well educated would choose this HTL. The reason I choose this HTL is the convenience to my destination. Staff manner good but have poor English communication

I found couple pieces of very long hair in bath room floor and on my bed when I lifted bed cover, too obvious to have excuses not clean them up before next client checked in. Couple months ago I check in no smoking room but I almost was suffocated by smoking Oder remaining inside of room although they changed room for me but I really doubt they are care about their facilities conditions for serious businesses

We book a room with double bed. Room is quite small, you can only open one luggage at a time with no extra space to walk. However the area is very accessible with few metro line in walkable distance. Area is more lively during weekdays and lots of food choice around.

We were at this property during the typhoon. No food service was offered nor was any notice given by the mgmt as to what we should do- we like many other travelers had to stock up at the local 7 11. Also the front desk would not make dinner reservation for us the following evening.. very disappointed in this attitude ..
