The breakfast menu was very fresh and it was a good selection. The room was clean and the bed was spacious and very comfortable, the staff were friendly, kind and always helpful and pool was nice too. It is a 15 walk to the beach and it was in the city centre too and is a 45 minute walk to Walking Street.

This was my second stay here. I like the location because it's close to the places I wanted to visit. The bed was the most comfortable sleep I had in days. Prior to coming to Thailand, I spend a few days in Tokyo & Ho Chi Minh City. The breakfast buffet was amazing. I'll come back.

Hotel with a good pool

Pool was good, we had really great time at the pool.
Cooperation of staff was not great, we asked if we can borrow knife to cut fruits the answer was no, I asked if the kithcen could help us with that, if needed I could pay, they said will ask and call me, which they never did. A lot of indian customers so the food was mainly indian. One day during shower we had brown collored water with dirt inside, they came and let the water run for about 20 minutes it became clean again, there was no appologies for that which was a big surprise. 7/11 is up 20 meters from hotel, a lot of massage options around.

I want to leave a better review for this hotel, but have to be honest. The room I had seemed to have gone through half of a renovation. The lights couldn't shut off, which seems like the opposite of a problem you'd experience. Also when the staff attempted to call my room the phone didn't ring.
Having said that, the staff at the hotel are very nice and professional, and the hotel is conveniently located enough. No laundry on site but there's options a very short walk away. I think it's a good hotel for very short stays and hopefully they finish working on the electric wiring of the lighting

Overall, the hotel was located in a convenient area and was well-maintained. Staff were attentive and did their best to accommodate guests. The only complaint isn't about the hotel, but the other guests. They were noisy and unapologetic about their behaviour. Not much you can do about that though.

The fridge did not work properly, as in nothing was cold. On the other hand, air condition was TOO cold. Neighbourhood around hotel is great. The bellman is very nice but the building itself seems old. Toilet needed repair during our stay. Balcony doors are hard to open. Overall, the hotel itself needs repairs. We consistently could not open the door to our room because the card key did not function.

Location was good and central to everything.
Staff were professional and courteous with good english

- Bed was very firm and unfortunately the pillows were poor.
The bathroom was nice but had no towel racks, the shower only had a small flimsy wire basket that held motel shampoo and body wash with no room for other and no other shelving.
The water pressure varied from very strong to barely running and the temperature varied with the pressure from scalding to cold, it was a very fine line with the water mixer to get the temperature at a point where it was safe to stand under for the duration.
Had a large contingent of guests from India staying who were extremely inconsiderate of other guests, getting back in the very early hrs and slammimg doors, talking loudly and yelling in the hallways.
Breakfast was excellent for Asian background but for a Westerner was only average (no bacon especially)

The restaurant has excellent tasting food for a low price. The Breakfast specials (after buffet ends at 10:30) has unique items that taste delicious. We skipped buffet and had the unique specials every morning. Entire hotel is very clean.

I booked this hotel last minute due to some unforeseen events. Overall stay was ok. My main complaint would be that my room would get hot and humid, to the point that the money in my wallet would be damp. I was moved rooms and it was a bit better but would still get somewhat humid. Not sure if that’s all the rooms or I was just unlucky. The staff was very helpful and friendly though. The wifi and restaurant were very good. Nice pool. Decent gym. Unfortunately, I would not go back or recommend.

At the time I came into the room, smell like a ammonia in dirty public lavatory.
Exhaust fan at the bathroom was broken, many flies in the bathroom.
I complained to the front desk, they sprayed something but didn't help much.
Power cut was happened twice while I stayed for 3 days.
That was nightmare.

Serious noise issues

Needed to change first room because of problem with condition of bathroom, though staff tried to be helpful.
Main problem was noise level. Aside from people shouting in hall in early morning hours, huge problem with some kind of night club at resort next door, with extremely loud music playing through the night every night I was there. I could not sleep and would not stay there again.

Check in staff is not nice. I told her to send bellboy to help me carry big 4 luggages but she did not. And no staff at the car park. My 7 years old son and I need to take them to the room ourselves.

No egg cooker staff stand by at the station during the breakfast time, I and other guests have to wait for a long time.

The other service is very good.

Really nice hotel i have stayed here many times over the years , nice they have a annex part to the hotel at the back nice views of local area there maybe a issue with noise from a club somewhere in the distance which goes on right through the night to the early hours but to be honest i slept through ok , breakfast is very good and they will ask if you need anything in particular in my case poached eggs but never a problem.
Check out was a little slow and tedious, they ask phone house keeping to check if you have used anything in room chargable , bit annoying when you have a taxi waiting ! But i guess they have been caught out before

Be careful of early morning construction wake ups

On 3 occasions I was woken up to grinding and construction in the next room . Called reception it stopped that day but continued the next day . Each time called and asked to change rooms and they said they would call me back but never did. Rooms were comfortable and clean and value for money . Hotel check in was great service

Extremely disappointed. Booked 2 family rooms. Only 1 family room per floor which meant family separated. I understand this and raise only as FYI to others in case important. The hotel has a reasonable breakfast American / English breakfast plus Thai breakfast, cereal etc. 3 out of 5 for breakfast. Family room a little disappointed. Air con takes a few hrs to cool down and unless you specifically ask for an additional key card to insert into entrance switch you will be returning to a hot room each time. Hotel supply 2 bath towels for family of 4. Again you need to ask for more. On that note for swimming pool you only get 1 towel for family of 4 and need to pay 100 baht per towel for more. Re cleaning I have young daughter that very occasionally may wee bed (1 per 3 months). Unfortunately on second day of 3 night stay she did. We let the room cleaner know to change sheets / topper. Later that day we returned to room to find a letter with photos taken and presented that we must pay 500 baht for cleaning charge of sheet and topper. My concern is a family room and occasionally these things happen with small children. This was further mishandled by in duty manager insuating they would remove charge but then next day maintaining charge when no other customers around to here us complain. Service 1.5 out of 5. No evening restaurant. Pool closes at 7pm. Hotel appears to cater for wrong crowd. My children and wife came close to being groped by the large groups of Indian travellers.

Needs a new guest policy

This hotel has a very good Gym which would be my reason to return. The location is close to 2nd Road and the baht bus which is good. I also like some of the small food restaurants close by. The hotel is part of a chain of Centara hotels which causes a lot of confusion to taxi drivers and motorbikes. The guest policy is overly complicated requiring a photocopy of ID and a lengthy form filled out by both hotel occupant and guest. I have never seen this onerous process before anywhere else.

OK hotel but too many lady boys for families

We stayed here because our son's soccer teams were staying here. We used our one night reward to pay for adjoining rooms for a value around $250. There was nothing outstanding nor anything awful. The bathroom smelled a bit musty. The dragon fruit in the rooms was a nice touch. The location is walking distance to the beach, but we did not go to the beach. We did go out to dinner at a beach restaurant with young players. The street from the hotel to the beach was lined with lady boys in skimpy outfits, but the one that disturbed us with kids was the one with sheer netting over her breasts so that she looked totally naked from the waist up. Try explaining all that to a 9 year old!
