Easy walking distance to several restaurants - recommend Truderinger Waldwirtshaf Pub/Restaurant and Second Street Cafe. 18 min walk to excellent tram service, breakfast was consistently good, staff were friendly and helpful when asked. I stayed for 1 week and it worked well for me for getting to xmas markets and other attractions. If interested in BMW Welk/museum or Allianz Foodball Stadium suggest book well in advance so you don’t miss out like I did. Should do hop on/hop off bus early rather than late in your stay.

Great Hotel in a Munich Suburb

Really enjoyed this hotel in Haar. We were in Munch to stop by Oktoberfest and then to use as a base for day trips to the Bavarian Alps. Took a bit to walk to the train station and ride into Munich central, but the town of Haar was safe and cute! Once we rented a car, we found street parking near the hotel no problem (they do offer parking for a charge, but we opted for the free option). The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself was great. Room was small, sure, but it was modern and updated. WiFi wasn’t the best, but other than that, we were really happy with our stay’

Clean modern hotel

This is a modern hotel in Haar, a suburb of Munich. I was attending a conference at Messe München and it was very convenient for this. It took me about 30 minutes to get there using the efficient public transport system.

It takes about 35 minutes to get into Munich city centre using the same transport system. For both venues you need to take a bus then a train. Buses are frequent at peak hours, every 10 minutes at other times and every 20 minutes late at night and Sundays.

Breakfast was great but cost 12 Euro’s.

Lack of internet a real lowpoint

This hotel was NOT good value for money- it should have offered free, fast, reliable internet and it didn't- you were allowed 30 minutes free internet a day, in the foyer- but it was so slow and the lobby was so cloying!!- and you got so frustrated with the internet it really made your stay so trying!!! One day, out of desperation I bought a bit of time over the net and the net was so fast I realized that they wanted you to buy it!! Tourists need the net to plan things- it really put a dampener on our whole trip- worst hotel we have been to. The staff were pleasant enough, but no free internet couldn't be overcome! The breakfast was overpriced, too- 11 euros!!! We had it a few times, but it was no better than much cheaper breakfasts that we had in other hotels-. The hotel was clean, but every time I think of our time there I just get down thinking about it!!! -plus it was too far from Munich- it took us 30 minutes to get into town- sometimes 20- and for the price the hotel charged they should have provided a jug and some tea bags, too. Pillows weren't comfortable, either.

Good, clean place. Odd bathroom, no air/heat

We stayed for one night. The hotel is new and clean and provides a nice place to stay. We had three in our party and asked for a triple room. The triple room is a double room with a roll-away bed. The extra roll-away bed made things very cramped. The hotel is partially circular, so the rooms are narrower at one end. Our first complaint was that the air did not work. No fan, no air conditioning, and no heat. The room became rather stuffy with no air movement and warm. The staff gave a reason that the computerized system sensed that the temperature outside was fine and no air control was needed, so it disables the system(?) Our second complaint was the bathroom. It had no door. Only a sliding wall that covered one-half and left a large door-sized section wide open. With multiple mirrors on the walls, there was essentially no place to hide. If you are traveling with someone you are not intimate with, this could present a very awkward situation.

We had a great stay at Acomhotel. It was not very near to the center of the city, but once we figured out the transportation system, it wasn't difficult to get around. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go (including Oktoberfest) in 45 minutes or less. The hotel had a modern feel to it, which I liked.

If you have a car 4 stars all the way

It was a great first stop on our itinerary. The only requirement is a car. It's very far outside of Munich center. So you MUST have a car. Otherwise it was a perfect little hotel. Clean, neat organized and the staff was great. A couple of three blocks down the main street towards Munich is a wonderful Indian restaurant as well.

Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. It was spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The front desk staff spoke English, and they were happy to give directions to buses and trains or call cabs. The disappointment was that they did not include breakfast or wireless internet access in the room. Breakfast would have been an additional 11 Euros per person per day, and wireless was available in 30 minute increments.

The bus stop was right around the corner, but it took a while to get to the city center. The first night, we stayed in the city center late so buses back to the hotel were not as easy to find. We parked our car on the street and felt safe leaving it there, rather than in the hotel garage, for the two nights we stayed. The beds were comfortable and there were apples at the front desk, even though we did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. It was also easy to leave town from the hotel, since it was close to the higways.

Very German/European style rooms. Tiny toilet area, exposed shower. Uncomfortable when you are traveling with your mother! Small room but clean. Expensive breakfast and wifi. Expensive parking but we found a spot on the street. Easy bus, subway access for Munich and surrounding areas. Fine stay but would probably look for something better next time.

Decent value for visitors to east side of Munich

The hotel is clean, reception staff are helpful, in-house restaurant serves a good breakfast with variety, but the internet is slow and not convenient. Free 30 minute internet is offered in the lobby but is very slow. Guests are offered other internet services for 30 minutes or 2 hours, or all day, but it is relatively expensive and can be improved. A nearby bus stop takes passengers to the Trudering S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains where one can go directly to the Munich Messe or to the main railroad station.

- Not the greatest location, but good public transport (Bus + U-bahn), you can reach anything in MUC within an hour.

- Some, in my opinion mandatory, equipment missing in my room: kettle (and so powder coffee or tee), an extra chair would be nice too

Good enough...stopover in Munich during Oktoberfst

the hype about this hotel is strange. it's affordable for a place near transportation during Oktoberfest.

But... the people at the front desk are not friendly and seemed miserable at their job. We also knew more about Munich and Oktoberfest than one young man on duty in the evening. At 8:30pm he tried to tell us we could not go to Oktoberfest because it was too late (he didn't know we had already been before), that we would not be able to get food there if we did go, and that we wouldn't be able to find dinner anywhere at that hour... (we had a wonderful dinner in the city center at 9:30pm). perhaps he is a very sheltered, negative person.

and, we waited almost a half hour for coffees the morning we tried to check out. the front receptionist also does the coffee? weird. it was way too expensive. and we could not figure out how to log onto the internet in the lobby. annoying.

the parking garage is AMAZING if you're driving an expensive/nice car. you have to pay for it, but it's worth it. it's very safe. the hotel is easy to navigate because it is so small/not much to it.
the rooms have awful decor... like \"mod\" 70s. shaggy carpets with weird lights. and the shower/sink in the bathroom has an all-in-one type soap. body/hair all in one.... kinda gross.

i wouldn't recommend this hotel, because i've stayed at nicer hotels in munich before, but it's affordable. esp for Oktoberfest time. and if you don't care about bad receptionists or decor.

We were looking for a place on the outskirts of Munich where we could park our rental car securely and cheaply. The acomhotel fit the bill perfectly... I just wish the s-bahn station was a little closer, as it was a good 20 minute walk. The hotel was very clean and well run, with great service, really nice people downstairs, internet a little spendy, and spotty, but at least it worked.Great bakery on the way to the s-bahn station.

acomhotel Munchen - suburban stopover

The acomhotel Munchen is about 15 minutes outside the city centre by car, and about double that by the combination of bus and S-bahn. The hotel is conveniently located on one of the major traffic arteries into the city, and there is ample free parking on the surrounding streets. Rooms are small but tidy, and thanks to a promotion I was able to get a truly low rate for my two-night stay. The hotel is cheap and cheerful but in excellent condition. The entire facility looked very new and clean. The neighborhood is suburban with a few restaurants close by, including a Bavarian one that was quite good (recommended by the front desk staff).

My only negative comments about the acomhotel are 1) the pillows are very flat -- but I noticed this elsewhere in Germany, too; 2) breakfast looks less appealing than it actually is -- there is a 10 Euro upcharge and the buffet is kind of sparse, but it is adequate; and 3) I was unable to use the PC in the lobby to check my email because I was told \"there is a problem with the computer.\" In fact the only problem was no one knew the Windows password to log in. But it took me a long time to convince the hotel staff of that. Anyway, there was apparently only one person who knew the password and he/she was not around, so they let me use one of the desk PCs for a couple of minutes to check my email.

Overall, I would recommend the acomhotel Munich. The price is right, the suburban neighborhood is safe and quiet, while central Munich is within easy commuting distance.

We found the hotel very comfortable an attractive, and the staff quite helpful. Although the hotel was on a main thoroughfare, and our window faced front, it was reasonably quiet. All the desk staff spoke excellent English. We were in Munich during the semi-finals of the World Cup, and one evening as we returned to the hotel, quite a few guests were assembled to watch a match on the big-screen TV in the lobby, so we joined them. (Alas, Germany lost that evening.)

My only complaint (and complaint is probably too strong a word) is that I didn't realize how far the hotel was from the city center when I booked. That said, getting into the city center was easy once we learned about the bus across the street, which went directly to an S-bahn station. (It is a bit of a hike directly to the nearest S-bahn station, but not a prohibitive distance.)

A nice base for traveling around Bavaria

This was a nice hotel, with easy access to public transport. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very friendly. They provided a crib for my baby and changed his linen when needed as well. Some good restaurants within walking distance. About a 30 minute trip via bus and S-Bahn to the Marienplatz. Overall, a good value. I'd stay there again.

Wir waren in einem kleinen Doppelzimmer untergebracht, das aber völlig ausgereicht hat. Es war sauber, trotz Hauptstraße war es superleise und die Vorhänge haben den Raum komplett abgedunkelt. In den Betten haben wir wie Prinzessinnen geschlafen. Tolle Matratzen und feines Bettzeug. 😊
Wir dachten, dass das Hotel näher zur Konzerthalle Zenith ist. Es war eins der ersten Hotels, das als Hotel in der Umgebung vom Zenith angezeigt wurde. Verstehe ich ehrlich gesagt nicht ganz. Mit den Öffentlichen sind wir trotzdem gut hingekommen.
Wir können das Hotel klar weiterempfehlen.

Le personnel était accueillant et serviable durant l’intégralité de mon séjour. La chambre était grande et spacieuse, mais malheureusement beaucoup trop froide, je déconseille d’y séjourner durant l’automne et l’hiver car il n’y’a pas de chauffage (je l’ai fait remarquer au personnel, qui n’a pas pu faire grand chose). L’emplacement est relativement bon. Le déjeuner est correct (mais un peu cher: €17 par jour..).
Niveau propreté j’ai trouvé médiocre; le drap de mon lit était taché et il y’avait une tache rouge sur la couverture (qui me paraissait être du sang séché…)

Ingesamt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen

Die Klimaanlage reichte uns nicht aus. Wir mussten daher als Alternative in der Nacht das Fenster geöffnet halten. Dadurch hört man natürlich den Straßenverkehr. In den Zimmern gibt es keinen Kühlschrank und keinen Kleiderschrank sondern nur einen schmalen offenen Bereich mit 4 oder 5 Bügeln. Darüber ein schmales offenes Staufach. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt und 2 Bushaltestellen. Dadurch kann man entweder direkt zur S-Bahn oder zur U-Bahn gelangen.

Für diese Preiskategorie überraschend angenehmes und modernes Ambiente. Die Reduktion auf das Wesentliche im Sanitärbereich ist nicht störend und absolut akzeptabel.

Sehr gute Unterkunft im Münchner Umland.
Sehr gut mit dem Bus angebunden, ansonsten ist man in 15 Minuten zu Fuß an der S-Bahn Station \"Haar\".
Sehr tolle eingerichtete Zimmer mit dem Blick fürs Detail; hier passt einfach alles. Allerdings müsste nochmal nach der Wassertemperatur geschaut werden, da diese doch sehr schwankt.
Das Frühstück ist sehr abwechslungsreich und man schmeckt die Regionalität.
Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Trotz der Lage an einer viel befahrenen Straße war es ruhig in unserem nach hinten gelegenen Zimmer.
Die Dusche und Waschbecken nur durch eine Schiebewand vom Zimmer abgetrennt ist gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Das Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb der Münchner Innenstadt, jedoch mit öffentlichem Verkehr gut erreichbar. Wir haben dieses Hotel bewusst wegen dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gewählt und waren zum wiederholten Male da.
Die Zimmer sind sauber, stylisch-modern, das Bett bequem und die Lage ruhig.

Der AUfenthalt war diesmal etwas weniger perfekt, da ein anderer Gast meinte, im Zimmer dieses Nicht-Raucher-Hotels rauchen zu müssen, und es den Rauch in unser Zimmer hinein zog.
Dafür kann das Hotel jedoch nichts. Ich habe es dem Empfang gemeldet. Ob das Problem sich gelöst hatte, weil der andere Gast verreist ist oder ob das Hotel etwas unternommen hat, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Was ich gut finde: wenn dem Empfang frühzeitig gemeldet wird, dass man laktose- oder glutenintolerant ist, wird beim Frühstück darauf eingegangen. Wermutstropfen: trotz gemeldeter Laktoseintoleranz wurde ich nicht darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass das Rührei mit Milchprodukten zubereitet ist (obwohl ich vor dem Frühstück noch mit dem Servicepersonal gesprochen hatte und man mir laktosefreie Produkte an den TIsch brachte). Entsprechend war dann die Reaktion meiner Verdauung :-/

Trotzdem würde ich alles in allem definitiv wieder kommen!
