We have stayed at this hotel a number of times. The rooms and staff are excellent... it is beside the UBahn. Which is every 10 mins. It is also beside Riem Arcaden... which has nice places to eat and shop.
Whilst the location is outside the city, you can be in Mariensplaz in less than 30mins

First the hotel only has a shopping mall near it. Nothing else in walking distance.

Had a room service knock on my 2 days in a row with a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. The 2nd day I actually had maid open my door with a DND sign on my door. Spoke to front desk and the 3rd day we were not bothered.

Parking was great there and plenty of it. Easy in and out.

While the staff was quite helpful and professional they dropped the ball on the Air Conditioning. Apparently the owner has decided that the air-con can only be set to 22C or 72F, no cooler. So for those of you who like to sleep cool, you will be out of luck unless it is cool enough outside that an open window will cool the room, but then you have to deal with street noise. We found it hard to sleep with the big duvets on the bed and were constantly kicking it off and pulling it on. No way to sleep.
I must applaud Germany for their conservation of energy. We saw many ways that they have used thoughtful ingenuity to conserve energy, but this was the only hotel that sacrificed guest comfort.
The location was perfect for us. Maybe 50 steps to the underground, and a massive shopping mall. Lots of restaurant choices nearby too.

The check in was quick although initially i was informed my room wasn’t ready (this was at 5pm) but the receptionist was very nice and also when she found it is my birthday, she arranged for a fruit platter as a birthday gift.
I was disappointed when i requested a bottle opener as it I wasn’t available in the room, and even with many calls to the reception and going down to the reception, I didn’t get the opener.
The place is next to a shopping mall and many restaurants around. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Would definitely go back in the future.

Rigid and unfriendly

Really disappointed in the hotel. I called them before arrival to say that I will not be able to stay the whole 3 days that I am there, to which they refused to change my booking.
I was told they will speak to reservations to make a change and get back to me- they never did. They took 3 nights payment for 1 night stay when I was there 10:30pm check in and 7am check out.

Unfriendly staff, won’t be staying there again.

Great location, very clean!

This hotel is great. The location is right by a subway line that goes straight into downtown Munich. There's a mcdonalds and grocery store downstairs and lots of bakeries and cafes. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and bathrooms were nice too. Would definitely stay here again. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating.

Beside the U-bahn, very accessible 20mins to munich main station and marien platz old town, the hotel is also next to a good mall for food, supermarket or shopping, and it’s next to convention centre. The hotel is clean, efficient and friendly. Cost of laundry wash is affordable. Breakfast is ample, love the very fresh fruits, sausage, different cheese, jams, mini choc croissants and coffee. Only issue is that the hot water kettles we changed are still not so clean, after boiling water there are white floaters as it cools down, so we bought from supermarket instead. Going to airport is only 30mins via taxi we booked at good price online as we have heavy luggages, otherwise the train system is also very convenient.

No hot water - don't recommend it!

Very modern hotel not far from downtown Munich. We had 2 main issues during our stay. First, in our 2nd day, when we woke up at 9am we didn't have hot water and only when we called reception almost 10 minutes later because we were still trying to make it work, they informed us that a pipe had broken and we wouldn't have hot water any time soon. I had an important event to attend and could not wash my hair with such a freezing water. Paying £145/night and not being able to take a shower is outrageous! Besides that, every morning house keeping would knock and open our door around 9am even in the day we were checking out and one day they almost caught me in the shower. It's a shame that a hotel with such a good potential would provide a bad experience like that.

On one of the days of my stay, there was no hot water available. I can understand that things can break or go wrong, but what I was appalled is that there was no communication about it. People had to figure out when they were in the shower. They have our email addr, phone number, and have info on occupied rooms. How hard is it to communicate to guests about a key service being unavailable?

Great location. Mall nearby with lots of food varieties. Metro is literally steps away.
Cons: our service was pretty bad. No tissue paper for 2 days. In fact, he/she took the last sheets in the box and put them on top like they do when they refresh things. None of the amenities were refreshed other than soaps. We didn’t have laundry bags. The person who checks if you need more stuff in the mini-fridge came into our room when we were still sleeping and instead of coming back, she went ahead and went through the mini-fridge anyway.

Drilling and renovation on the floor above started at 8am, toilet flush broken and informed hotel and nothing done, constant flow of water in toilet all night, stopping me sleeping. Not able to pay for food and drink with Credit card as system shut down, cash only and unable to charge me the next day. Saskia very helpful and friendly but others on reception Inexperienced and poor service. As I gave my credit card as guarantee on the room but was not told the system would shut down at 22:00hrs and working at messe till this time but had said I wanted to order food before restaurant closed and told nothing?? Restaurant and bar service / staff good.
House keeping entered the room 4 times from 8am - 11am in morning wanting to clean the room??

It was fine because of the location next to the exhibition hall. The U nearby was very convenient for going into the city. The only issue was no air conditioning. It was quite hot (around 30C) and had to sleep with the window open. The downside is that it is in front of a fairy busy square with lots of noise.

The hotel it's nice clean and near a mall with super markets which includes Aldi's and many restaurants and the train it's right in front of the door. However, the staff was not helpful the only two times I asked for help I was given an attitude by the desk service representatives. The first time was related to the hotel key card not working properly and the second was with luggage storage and I was attending a business conference there. Another problem I kept having was the cleaning staff opening my room door everyday at 9:00 AM even with the \"do not disturb\" sign hanging on my door. Because of that experience I wouldn't recommend that hotel to people that will required help form the hotel staff otherwise it's a great hotel and it's conveniently located.

The Hotel is really just few steps away from the train stop but it takes 20mins to reach the city centre and main train station, so it is a disadvantage of this hotel.

But the Hotel is located next to a shopping mall so you can get anything you need from groceries to food easily. Please do take note that the mall is closed every Sunday.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room is clean too.

The hotel is perfect located next to the mall with multiple options for dine in and shopping. You have the metro station in front of the building and you can even buy your ticket at the front desk. Parking is the same as the mall and get you directly from the elevator to the lobby, you just need to look for Novotel in blue on the columns.

The hotel offers all you need for a perfect stay. Rooms were comfortable and is new and chic.

You can be in the heart of Munich in 25 minutes by taking the U2 and then U6 metro lines. If you want to go to Allianz Arena you can take the same metro lines and you can be there in 45 minutes.

Parking area in huge shopping mall parking lot, three floors below hotel, clean and spacious, but dark, I felt uncomfortable going to my car at 6am.
Efficient check-in.
Good service in bar / restaurant! Waiters and kitchen staff well- informed about allergies and possible problems with food / food preparation, esp. regarding gluten-free meals. I am celiac and felt comfortable eating there - which is not always the case in Germany. Thank you!

Great hotel, right next to shopping centre. Very welcoming and fast at service on reception. Rooms were always clean. Stay here for work purposes and all needs were met. If you are wanting to go city centre it is very easy, Uban is right next to the hotel so good for touristic type visits also.

Perfect for the Messe

Why I stop here: 10 minutes from room to exhibition stand on foot. Direct U-Bahn to city. A shopping centre next door with a selection of bars and restaurants so you don't have to eat inthe hotel.

Great hotel next to Train (u-bahn) and mall

Really had a great time at this hotel. Has all the major amenities in a bigger hotel, including a wonderful breakfast. Our room was awesome and was big enough for our family of 4. executive package included the mini-bar fridge too, which was great. It is next to a major mall, so you can shop and buy gifts if you are there. U-Bahn is right outside the hotel which makes getting to city center pretty easy. Parking is 17 Euro a day too.

Good hotel located next to the Messe, U-Bahn, shopping centre and restaurants. Top location. However, bathroom sink was blocked all three nights and not repaired despite issue being reported to frontdesk. However, I do wonder if housekeeping staff were idiots, as they did not replenish coffee/tea/hot chocolate sachets, milk, stirrers and shower gel all three nights.

We stayed just one night on the way to Vienna. We arrived at 22:00 bu car but easy to find and easy to park. Room was large enough for 2 adults and 1 kid(12 yo). Very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the middle of the MESSE area so maybe it's not for sightseeing.

Over rated..!!

We had a premium room which was way smaller than expected and not even fit for two person and standard room are even lesser size of premium room.
Bathroom have see trough glass and no locks. Can't imagine this embarrassing situation to stay and share this room on business trip.
Other than hotel lobby, wifi signals and speed is horrible. You just keep on waiting to get downloads your emails and nothing happens. Other than that there was an outage due to problem in access point and no service restoration over the weekend.
Parking charges are 15euro per day which will be additional cost.
I wouldn't stay again! Period.

Great location for the Munich Fair grounds. 3 day stay was excellent. Only hitch occurred at check in. Something happened between Expedia and Novotel. Hotel did not show my reservation, and claimed they were not notified by Expedia. After 30 minutes the hotel produced a good room. I had my Expedia reservation and rate confirmation with me. Might have been a problem without it. Suggest you check your reservation process with Novotel.

The hotel was clean and room was quite huge compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Europe. We stayed here during Oktoberfest and it was a good location as it was very accessible and close to the metro. The staff were really nice and helpful but they forgot to tell us that the room bar is included with our booking. We only found out about it when we were checking out. Oh well... The hotel is also located beside a huge mall that has great food (try the Chinese restaurant for their curry sauce with fried chicken and the Bavarian restaurant across it was also amazing!). Our experience was great all around!
