We had a wonderful stay at Obermeier, and managed to use public transport into Munich effficiently. The breakfast was amazing, and we also made good use of the lovely reception and bar areas. Staff were incredible, and very understanding when I flew off with my room key!

Very nice hotel, very clean rooms, excellent traditional Bavarian breakfast buffet, and free parking. The hotel is located a 20 minute train ride from Marienplatz in Munich making it very convenient if you don't want to take your car into the city. The area around the hotel is nice, a little suburb of Munich and felt quite safe. Highly recommend if you want to visit Munich.

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

Me and my friends were all satisfied about the staff, breakfast buffet and as I requested the typical bavarian breakfast with Weiss Wurst, Bier and Brezeln was excellent, all of my friends were amazed. The rooms were nice , and the bus stop is just in front of the hotel, easy to go everywhere using public transportation. I'm glad that I chose this hotel all my were happy.

We visiting during Oktoberfest and arrived the night the staff was a bit short handed. The staff were pleasant and friendly. We stayed in a secondary building and it was starting to show some wear. No air conditioning, would have been nice the nights we were there.

Clean modern hotel within a 5 minute walk to the nearest S-bahn station with direct links into central Munich. Superb breakfast with a complete range on continental options. 24-hour coffee area and bar on-site with lots of nearby restaurants around the hotel. Chose a sleeps 4-5 room which was possible, but the room was open plan with a mezzanine level for the 2 single beds. I would suggest that you do check out the layout.

I thought the hotel was closer to the older part of the city but it was a 20-30 minute subway ride. Still easily accessible as long as your are mobile. Love the quaint hotel and the little town surrounding the hotel. Enjoyed some great asian fusion food one night. Stayed 2 evenings and enjoyed the WONDERFUL Breakfast (make sure you go down to the lower level where there is more food other than the breads on the top floor). It was quite aways from the airport and a $109 uber ride but would stay here again. Staff were GREAT !!

We are a family of 5 and we all think that this was the best hotel experience we have ever had. The hotel is a perfect mix between classic Bavarian style and modern design. The rooms are impeccable, the beds comfortable, the area very quiet. It is classy but with a touch of home. In addition, the breakfast was absolutely incredible, with a wide variety of quality local fare. We would return to this place any time and would recommend it to anyone.

We had the superior room which as a good size and a fabulous bathroom. Was disappointed that there are no tea/coffee making facilities but a kettle was supplied on request. The train station was a 700 metre walk from the hotel and then easy to get around. Not many restaurants in this area but good supermarkets. The breakfast was good and the restaurant had great food.

We loved our stay at Hotel Obermaier! It has a traditional Bavarian feel and decor - warm, cozy, and welcoming. The rooms were clean and modern. The lobby was so cozy we sat out there and had drinks and played cards at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was an incredible selection at breakfast. The hotel is a short walk to the train station into downtown Munich (20 minutes to downtown).

Submit superb. We stayed in a suite and on a return in a regular room. Great space, attractive, clean . The concierge staff was excellent, directing us to an exquisite drindl/leiderhosen costume shop that was authentic and on the bus route! David had wonderful dinner recommendations within walking distance. The breakfast was get satisfying and the breakfast area was quaint and adorable. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I was worried that the room might not look like the pictures online because what I saw seemed to be an artistic rendering of the room, but the room was brand new, very clean, and exactly what was pictured online. This hotel was so clean I would have sworn we were the first people to stay in our room. We stayed in the Junior Suite mit gallery (two adults and two adult children) which was perfect for us. The entire hotel was a balanced fusion of traditional Bavarian and modern. Heated floors in the bathroom, skylights that remotely opened, modern shower, and awesome linens and comforters helped make this one of my family’s favorite hotels.
The lobby was comfortable and cozy enough that we actually wanted to spend time there playing games and relaxing. And transportation was very convent making getting to old town a simple matter.

Wij hadden een upgrade gedaan van kamer. Echter kwamen in een kamer pal aan de straat met veel verkeer, het bed kraakt enorm wat de nachtrust verstoorde en de douche was super klein. Al met kwa kamer een tegenvaller. Gelukkig wel een goed ontbijt en 's avonds bij het inchecken een aardige dame die ons een welkomstdrankje aanbood. Parkeren is eenvoudig als er een plek is.
