We had extended our stay for one night, as it was our final destination after a coach tour. A number of personal toiletries were removed from the bathroom (presumably by housekeeping) while we were out for the day. Although the front desk staff apologized, there was no attempt at compensation. They were purchased specifically due to medical conditions, as items provided by the hotel cannot be used. We were a tad disappointed.

I checked in and the man at front desk was so lovely and helpful. I requested if i can have a room with a bath as i was going on a tour and would like 1 last bath. He immediately changed my room no problem. Room was pretty good. Had everything you need. Concrete walls makes the room cooler as no air conditioning. I didnt have a fan but was told i could if i needed. Breaky was so good..pricey but definately worth the money. Easy to walk from train station.

This hotel has gone downhill

First breakfast was 25 euros for one person which was too expensive for what you get and the service staff were rude and mean. Second the room wasn’t cleaned properly the dirt by the bed on the floor stayed there our entire stay. I moved it to see if they would clean it and they never did. We have stayed at this hotel four times before this was the worst stay so far. It used to be a nice place to stay. We won’t stay here again.

Avoid at all cost

The staff was rude, the room was small and far too hot and there is no air-conditioning control in the room. Also the breakfast is charged 25e, which is more expensive than in the best restaurants in town, but the selection is very poor (scrambled and boiled eggs, a few types of charcouterie and cereals, and basically that's it). Additionally, I have noticed that there is no food for people with dietary restrictions (sugar free, gluten free or similar), which is a standard in most hotels. An absolute rip off! How this hotel is ranked as a 4-star is beyond me!

If you are coming to Otto-Hann Ring you probably have a meeting at Siemens or RR, you are far better off staying in an a other hotel closer to the city and taking U-Bahn to the meeting.

Overall the stay was good. However:

Room was stifling hot as no air conditioning. Dread to think what the rooms would be like in a 35° plus heatwave.

Room service was offered anytime between 8:30 and 11:00, all 3 mornings we stayed, it was offered when we were in the room getting ready which was inconvenient.

Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't get it. €25pp per day was too expensive in our opinion.

Great place and close to train station

It was great. Just to let other American travelers to Munich, that there was:

Not a bathtub in the room (shower only)

No air conditioner but didn't really need it....the windows open for fresh air.

There is not \"convenient stores\" at all near the hotel. We got food/drinks in the train stations (plenty of options) then brought it back to the room, when it was late at night. Just make sure you bring a bag to put your items in order to carry them easier.

Less than a 5 minute walk from Neuperlach Sued train station. Come out the door for \"Otto-Hahn-Ring\" and you'll find a side walk (with stairs and a ramp) to the right....take that to the end (go passed a Rehabilitation Center and Cyber Center and you'll see the sign for the Hotel) then make a left and hotel entrance is on the left.

We enjoyed the staff, they were really friendly and helpful with anything we needed.

Under-staffed and too hot without air conditioning

I contacted the hotel in advance about a baby cot and they replied saying they would put one in our room. It hadn't been prepared when we arrived and the man on duty said he was alone until 10pm and would not be able to go and get it until then. There was a problem with one of the rooms I booked and we were down-graded to a different room, which was fine but it looks like we were charged the same price as the original. I am not sure what the difference was but the man at the desk said he could only refund the parking fee and I it wasn't clear what the price of this other room was meant to be so I can't tell whether that was fair compensation.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms. I didn't realize this was such a problem but our room was very hot - too uncomfortable for a decent sleep, unfortunately.

Parking was also expensive, but underground car park was efficient and easy to use and access. Towels in bathrooms were all very thin and cheap; I stayed two nights and had two sets of towels - both of the same low quality.

Great Suburb Hotel

I have stayed here three times I love this hotel. The breakfast is fantastic, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean. It is also dog friendly, I brought dog here on one occasion. Close to the UBahn to get to the city center, it’s a short 3-5 min walk.

The hotel staff was courteous and friendly. Our room (with two twin beds) was decent size and clean. When I booked the room, I knew that there was no A/C...had I known better, I would have arranged for a fan in our room beforehand. The temperature during our one day stay reached more than 95° outside. When I asked at front desk if any fans were available, they advised that they were all taken, and that I would need to wait until following day. We ended up sleeping with cool damp towels on our necks to help alleviate the discomfort. My suggestion to the hotel would be to equipm each room with an individual fan.

Great Hotel Option For Outside the City Center

We stayed here last minute and we were very happy! The breakfast although pricey is very good. Its not near anything but the U-Bahn station is three minute walk away so it was very easy to get to with two pre-schoolers in tow. We have stayed twice at this hotel and once we brought our dog! They charge a very reasonable fee for dogs. It's not fancy, but clean and nice. The bar and restaurant are very good as well.

Not meeting my expectations

I was expecting a true 4 star hotel as advertised on its website. I would rate it as 3 star at the most:
- No power adapter provided ( US traverller, pls remember to bring your own)
- No gym onsite
- I checked in at noon and they charged me 30 euro for early check-in, which would have not been the case if it's in the US or Asia, where hotels allow custermer to check in if the room is ready. I cannot agree this“ early check in\" fee; does it mean if I check out early, then I would get a discount?
- Room is quite dated. Old, uncomfortable furnitur, small TV.

This hotel targets mostly the business travelers visiting the technology businesses in the vicinity. There is a U station close by and about 3 restaurants next to the station. The U line goes to Munich center with one train change. At night there is not a soul on the street because all offices are closed. Without a car it is hard to get to this hotel.

This hotel has probably the most professional and friendly staff I have ever met in a hotel before; well done. The location is great, with good access to city center and other amenities. The rooms are bright, clean, perfectly cleaned and equipped; the restaurant and bar are friendly and cozy and have a good selection of local beers on tap. It is just one thing that failed to make it a fabulous experience: the lack of air conditioning. I really want to come back and stay again; please please install some AC, dear hotel manager. Otherwise, really top hotel.

The hotel was great. It was a little old looking but everything was in good shape and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic! Our only complaint is that it didn't actually have air conditioning even though AC was listed in the hotel description. The man at the desk told me that this is an error in the Hotels.com website and they have tried to have it corrected. AC is a very important amenity in the summer and should be listed correctly. I would not have booked this hotel if I had known it didn't have AC. However, in the end, I liked the hotel and would stay there again -- just not in July!

OK Quiet Hotel, very close to underground station

This hotel is OK. Expedia has advertised that this hotel has air conditioning under the 'Room Amenities' section. None of the rooms have air conditioning. This hotel has no air conditioning whatsoever. I had read other reviews where people had complained about the lack of air conditioning but hadn't realised that there was no air conditioning available at all.

I travelled in mid June and the weather was very warm. The hotel room was stuffy, despite having the window open. I opened the window fully to let in more air only to find that I could see into the room opposite where there was a couple completely stark naked with both their windows fully open.

I had spoken with a member of staff, who was a little flippant about the lack of air conditioning. They said that they had not told Expedia to publicise air conditioning as part of the room amenities. I have stayed in Mercure hotels many times before and this was a little disappointing to not be comfortable in the room. Obviously, you're on holiday so you're not going to spend all day in the room, nonetheless, I knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep comfortably with how stuffy it was. I was given a very good fan which meant that I was able to sleep quite well. If you're a light sleeper then you'll need to bring ear plugs with you as the whirring may keep you awake. I suspect that they didn't have many of these fans so unless you complain then you're not going to be offered it.

It didn't affect my stay too much though.

We got to the hotel expecting a nice hotel since it had a 4 star rating in Expedia. To our surprise, the hotel, and particularly our room, was completely outdated. Our room seemed like a room of a Motel or a Hostel. It was small, dirty, without air conditioner, and completely outdated. The sofa bed was practically on top of our bed. We were so displeased that we left the next morning. Now I guess I will have to fight for a refund since the hotel was pre-paid. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Easy access to public transportation and easy checked-in. Friendly staff at the reception area. Rooms cleanliness could be improved. Some of the bathrooms smelled like urine (my family occupied 3 different rooms) as if it wasn't cleaned! No air-conditioning and rooms can be very unpleasant/warm.
The swimming pool is under repair since October of 2015 and still not working?
Rooms are OK in size. Children friendly.

As a business traveller staying for one night this hotel was perfect. Staff are very friendly and the added features of espresso coffee machine in the room and complimentary mini bar drinks and snacks was a welcome touch. It is nothing fancy but it suffices. The location would be uninspiring as a leisure traveller but for business no problem. Very nice breakfast, didn't have dinner so I can't comment. It's proximity to train services are a bonus. The only grumble would be the quality of the bed pillows!

My family and I only stayed here one night as we were passing through to go to Prague. The hotel itself needs a little updating. This was an extremely basic hotel and overall I probably wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay,but if you can rough it out for a night or 2 or plan on spending minimal time in the room the rate is worth it. overall the positices are how close it is to the Metro station and how polite the staff were.

The location would be awful, quite a long way from the city centre, surrounded by concrete. Except it’s right next to the Siemens campus, which was very convenient.

The “pep” shopping mall is a 15min walk from the hotel, and it was quite satisfactory for a shopping stroll.

Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of teas and fruit juices in particular.

The room was spacious enough, and the bed was comfortable. However, there was a large area on the ceiling where paint had flaked off. And the bathroom was a bit on the old side.

Free Wifi, yes, but really slow. Enough for reading mail, but forget Skype. There was an option to pay for better bandwidth.

Clean N comfortable

Hotel is nice and comfortable. However there aren't many restaurants or cafes nearby. The nearest cafe is at the nearby U bahn station, less than 5 mins walk from hotel. Not much choice there.

Decent business hotel close to U / S Bahn station

Good business hotel with links to U and S Bahn travel lines.

Easy travel to City centre, Airport or Messe Munich if you are attending any events in the locale.

Breakfast was included under a very reasonable rate.

Room basic, but clean and efficient, what else do you need for a business trip :)

Free wifi worked well.
