The cleanliness was satisfactory. Cleaning crew did not remove used coffee cups or replace coffee, coffee cups, etc. Curtains didn’t stay up. Nowhere to set up suitcases. Shower knob was stuck, so were delayed in taking a shower. We asked for maintenance but they never came. The bed was hard and the comforter was too small. It didn’t cover both of us. We wanted cold soda from the bar with ice, several nights in a row. The bartender gave us 3 ice cubes per glass. Each time when we asked for more, he said he didn’t have any ice (for us), he needed the ice for cocktails. This was rude. He obviously did not understand that we were paying $300-$360, per night ( not good customer service).

The property is under 10 minutes from a train station Berg am laim from where you can get to Marienplatz right in the old town in about 10 minutes so ok location. There is also an underground train station near about 12/15 minutes walk away where you can also get to the main central station.
The actual hotel itself is ok. The breakfast is basic with poor coffee and cheap cereals and some hot english type food i.e egg and bacon. There is a basic bar which doesn't serve cocktails or anything like prosecco but you can get a beer. The food at the bar is just pizza or pasta. The rooms are ok. Our bathroom had a bad smell so wasn't pleasant, I think it was coming from the drain in the shower so should really have been fixed room 330. If you want a basic hotel which isn't too expensive then this is ok. Personally I wouldn't recommend or return.

Everything would be fine, if hotel room would NOT be extremely small. My apartment closet is bigger than this hotel room. It's suitable for one person perhaps a student with one shoulder bag, not for international travelers of three. Another downside is that there is NO drawers, or normal size shelves, or place to put your sutecases. We had to trip over our sutecases which were on our walking path. Rooms are far from European, or American standards. Who could design such a place. Everything else already did not matter.

The location of the hotel is very good. 10 mins to S-bahn. There are shops and restaurants nearby.

The hotel could use a good cleaning. The carpets were quite stained. Also the everyday houskeeping didn't clean cups. A dirty coffee stirrer was left in the room when we checked in.

Nice home base for a few nights

Stayed for 4 nights while traveling Germany. Comfortable room and bed. Great breakfast selections! Would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room and either a washer/dryer in the building or a laundry service available. Underground parking was Extremely tight. Obvious many cars had hit the walls trying to maneuver the tight corner and low profile. We ended up parking in the street all but the first night.
Also within walking distance to the public transportation.

The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the room service was horrible. I hung the \"Clean my room please\" tag outside and no one did the cleaning.. It sad to say that I had to take out the trash myself, despite complaining at the reception (TWICE)... The waste was not cleared and the towels were not replaced. I had to ask the reception for spare towels for the use. Please improve this experience.

Where do I even start?

PROS- breakfast was good (but the exact same thing each day). Location was a quiet, safe neighborhood not far from S- bahn.

CONS- It was HOT!!! They advertise having AC. They have a fan running, but no cold air coming out. The window tilts back about 2 inches, not enough for a breeze to come in. \"Room service\" just barged in twice while my husband was in his boxers sitting on the bed even though we said \"No room service\" when they were at the door. They just came in anyway. I tried to call front desk because there was no hair dryer in the room even though it was advertised, but no one would answer. The room was tiny for 3 people. I've had cruise ship rooms that were larger.

If you are only staying one night, it probably isn't that bad. However, staying 6 nights was a huge mistake. You honestly get what you pay for.

This hotel is located just a short 10 min bus ride away from both the tram and train station, providing a whole multitude of transport options to explore the beautiful city of Munich. The compound itself was large and welcoming, with excellent service in checking in our room. The room was elegant and spacious, giving us a good space to relax and rest. The breakfast was well stocked to accommodate many guests, with a good selection of delights prepared in whimsical ways such as an automatic fresh pancake maker and a Nutella dispenser.

The staff was absolutely lovely, I wish I caught his name, but one gentleman at the front desk helped me figure out the German trains and how to get to Stuttgart, I didn't get a chance to thank him, but he made my trip!

It was our second time staying here this trip. Good location, close to metro, bus stop right out front (though we never used the buses). Quiet. Always felt safe. Clean though our carpets were badly stained. Excellent breakfast. Large variety of hot and cold foods. Bar seems to always be out of drinks except one kind of beer.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The stay was ok and breakfast was very good. The hotel is next to a bus stop and about 9 min walk from a metro station which makes it very accessible. Downside - the air conditioning was weak and didn’t cool down the room at all and it was disturbing because of that . They need to improve their air conditioning. Also they didn’t seem to bother much about it.

Hotel has a bus stop right at the edge of the property so getting onto transit for a tourist is simple and easy.

Buffet breakfast was excellent and there was lots of staff for the breakfast part

Check in for this property was closed and you needed to go to the Holiday inn (adjacent) but no real issues.

I tried to call Front Office and House Keeping at 10 PM because I need a bag of ice cubes as compress. Nobody picked up the phone. I had to walk to the Holiday Inn (not Express) right next door to get the ice cubes. It's first time I experience a hotel that is not staffed properly. The carpet has dirt and stains in many places. The USB ports do not work in 2 of the 3 rooms we stayed. It's probably time to renovate the whole thing.

General stay was ok and staff pretty helpful but price inflated as it was conference week. My Room had stains all over the carpet when I arrived and due to the fact it was a busy week, there were no other rooms available. I had seen a review prior to going where someone had posted stains on the carpet of the room and figured I would be VERY unlucky to get a room like that. Seems I did get unlucky and maybe got the same room I saw online. Almost like they just don't want to spend time and money on cleaning carpets.

Under the circumstance (Octoberfest), staff was mostly tolerant. One manager was somewhat confrontational because I had a broken sofa bed and had asked to be moved to a larger room or cancel so that I could book elsewhere. He said no and that it's up to Orbitz. After discussion with Orbitz (I did not get anywhere) I ended up staying in the room so as not to further waste time on vacation... Both organizations should have worked together

Charge for 15 euro per night was never disclosed when I reserved.

It was explained by the morning manager that Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are two different hotels. Holiday Inn breakfast selections were different than Holiday Inn. If you wanted to have breakfast there, you had to pay 19 euro more per day.

I liked that the place was quiet and clean. There are no places to eat around there. Only a limited menu at the bar.The first morning for breakfast(starts at 6:30) there were no lights. I asked for them to be on and was told they were broken. I have a hard time seeing in the dark. I thought the next day the problem would be fixed, but NO. I told the staff in no certain terms there would be a bad review. We found out from the front desk that the lights are on a timer. Well breakfast starts at 6:30 have them on. I was not the only one who had trouble seeing in the dark. The rest of the time we were there I had a flashlight.

May be one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Staff was very unfriendly and not kind or caring. We arrived early. We just got off a 16 hour flight and I was not well. We knew check in wasn’t until later but I was sick and it was an off day, not the weekend. They did not care and made us wait. After 3 hours of waiting and getting sicker and sicker my hubs threatened to leave a bad review and oh all the sudden we can get a room. I was in the lobby at least 3 different times during our stay and heard them let people check in early.

Went downhill from there. A/C was non existent. We will check it, etc etc, they never did anything. Plastic pillows that were miserable. One comforter that didn’t even fit over both of us and we aren’t big people.

Always were made to feel that you were bothering staff if you needed anything. No dressers, shelves etc to put anything. We lived out of our suitcases on the floor for 2 weeks.

3 different employees told us how the company has changed and that they were miserable and either leaving or looking for different employment. They all looked miserable and unhappy.

I honestly don’t have one positive comment to make about this hotel. We will never stay in a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express again. Location was not great and the pictures they have posted make it look nice.

All we can say is run! Horrible experience and it was my first trip to Europe ever. So disappointed!

First, we get to the hotel, we check in. I guess there’s two different holiday inns so you have to walk really really far trying to open huge doors with your luggages two different times to get to the elevator to go up. There’s only one check in. Then we notice we are basically falling off the bed. Literally, like the whole one side of it was falling down. I was scared one of my kids are gonna fall off like I was falling off imagine them. They kinda didn’t want to give me a new room. They said it’s not broken, it’s just been used a lot on that side. Like no, something is wrong with it. Once i mentioned that I was scared my baby was going to fall off they changed it, The bathroom stunk so bad, like a porta potty. The shower was a big shower with two curtains. Water got everywhere that’s probably why it stinks. The carpet was very dirty, visible stains everywhere. The breakfast was horrible. When we changed they only gave us one key I went to ask for another one and more towels. I literally sat there behind a guy for over 20 minutes without even being noticied like didn’t even try to look at me and told me to wait or anything . I finally got fed up and I went up there and ask them like how long am I going to wait? There was another girl at the desk as well. I didn’t know why she couldn’t call me up. So i went to her. It was just very rude. Her excuse was she thought I was with the older guy in front of me, like no. That was when I kinda felt like I was being mistreated.
