The NH München City Süd hotel, formerly known as NH München am Ring, is located southeast of Munich. The location is ideal for reaching the highway towards Salzburg and provides good access to the airport and Exhibition Center.
You can also get to the city center in 20 minutes by hopping on the S-Bahn at the Karl-Preis-Platz station. The peaceful residential location offers an excellent opportunity to relax in one of the 163 rooms.

Good hotel, would go again, the rooms a basic, no kettle to do a brew in the morning but very clean. We had a bit of traffic noise from the main road as our window faced it. So had to close if you wanted to sleep. Not far from the Silberhornstraße U Bahn station 5 min walk perfect to get into centre.

Overall this was a pleasant hotel with a nice clean room. The main issue is the air conditioning was broken for the duration of the stay, making sleeping quite difficult. I appreciate this is a budget hotel - but maybe they could have offered fans or something to make up for the lack of A/C?

Overall a good stay, the rooms were a bit small, but as a base they were clean and very comfortable beds, lovely shower.
On the downside the air con didn’t work in either room, I asked at reception, and was advised just leave it on and it will start - it didn’t. Rooms were very warm!

The hotel and area were great. The only reason we are not giving it a higher rating is because the toilet in our room did not properly flush and there was a lingering smell. We had been doing without room service in other hotels we visited during this trip but here it was impossible! Even with daily cleaning the smell wouldn't go away

Hotel was ok for the price, it is further from the city center, but the bus/subway stops are very close so it is not difficult to travel around Munich. The staff was friendly at check in and check out, the rooms was a little cramped due to it having a small desk and a small seat in the room, we could've done without those and instead with more space. There was construction going on outside early in the morning so we kept the window closed to minimize the noise, I know this is not the hotel's fault, but it was not ideal. he only issue we had with the room was that the AC was not working, luckily we went in October so the weather was cool and we just opened the window to get some cool air.

Absolutely fine place to stay a night in Munich. Easy fo drive to and has underground parking for 14 euros a night. Easy walk to the underground to get to the city centre. Good breakfast.

Since I stayed in the winter and it was snowing I especially liked their unground heated parking. No snow to clean off the car and very EZ to get my items in and out of the hotel without going out in the snow Food selection near the hotel is very limited. Only 2 blocks to the M to the center of town

We didn't spend much time in the hotel, but the little time we spent there and asked questions we were helped quickly by friendly staff. We dealt with about 4 different people, and all of them were extremely professional.

Hotel itself is good with comfy beds. However, they had the wrong check out date for me and spent a long time telling me i was wrong (even after i showed them my booking confirmation). Finally checked their expedia info (which matched my check out date) and announced their own system must have a bug, so it was decided i could stay for the amount of time i had booked. The room was tidy and compact, (we had two twin beds and a little space to walk around then) but since we didn’t spend much time in the room it was fine. Mattresses and duvets were fine, but pillows were very lumpy.

One feature I particularly like is the blue light that is automatically on in the bathroom at night, which is very helpful if one doesn’t need to switch on the main light.

Overall Ibis is a good quality functional hotel. Unfortunately the room location has a big impact on the noise level in the room. My room faced onto a busy road with high levels of traffic throughout the night. In fairness I asked for a room change which they were were happy to facilitate for the remaking nights.

Clean and convenient hotel with good transport links within Munich. The hotel is on a busy street but the staff are really helpful and offered to move us to a twin room on the quieter side. The room was clean and had good amenities, although lacking a bit of character (which is unsurprising as it is an Ibis!) would definitely recommend.

This property is fairly minimal, which is fine, but some of the amenities listed on the hotels.com website are actually not available at this hotel which was misleading. For example, there is no self serve laundry, only dry cleaning Monday - Friday. The \"restaurant\" downstairs is very minimal - they do have breakfast and some light food the rest of the day but it's limited and I don't think the hotel advertises it as a restaurant. There is a bar and decent seating area though.
There were no hot water kettles available at all, but the staff was willing to fill up a cup I had brought with me when I asked. They were always very nice, and had a few drinks and sweets in a cooler which was handy when you didn't want to venture into a store nearby. The location is fine, nothing too exciting but very easy to get to U bahn and tram stations. I would probably stay here again under the right circumstances.

Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood close to a subway station.room was small but clean. Amenities are a bit sparse- only 2 towels in the bathroom! But staff is efficient and helpful - I had some confusion with my rail ticket and the front desk took the time to help me straighten it out.

Easy location to get around from. Shower has no door so naturally water goes everywhere, on the flip side great water pressure in hotel. Air conditioner didn't work, had window open. Spent 3 nights and booked this one expecting a good budget hotel, when we got there we were greeted at the desk by a chap who spoke good english (almost all staff spoke very good english), very polite and the hotel has a 15 minute guarantee on sorting issues
The beds were not comfy at all, mattress was less thick than the length of my pinky and wasn't of great quality and constantly shifted in the middle of the night, neither was the pillow also lacked quality and only had one (in fairness I never went to reception to ask for another but I usually only sleep with one), however the duvet was fantastic, kept me very warm all night
The facilities were what you should expect, basic equipment that got you by. However, the positioning of the room made things awkward, my roomate who was closer to the door got Wifi with no issues, however my bed no matter what you tried could not get WiFi with any device. Also with the layout of the room, and no matter how much you could move the bed away, kept hitting my head on the lamp and knocking the light switch and waking me up in the night.
Bathroom overall was good with good power shower, space and the toiletries provided were also great, but the lack of door in the shower combined with the lack of ventilation fan meant it got very wet on the floor.
Food there was very good, very cheap, and the breakfast was fab, would've paid more.
Overall, if you are in Munich on the cheap, definitely come here, but if you can spare extra, try elsew

Me and a friend stayed here for a one night stay, first impressions weren't so good as the hotel is a bit out of the way from the city centre and restuarants etc. But it is walking distance from the underground and easy enough to find, it probably takes about 25 minutes to get to the centre on the underground (U2). We unfortunately don't speak much German at all but the hotel staff were fine (wouldn't say friendly by any means). When we got to the room it was very well appointed and had a nice bathroom suite and bed, however it was on the small side - we had two large rucksacks as we were backpacking and there wasn't really anywhere to put them out of the way. We would probably use again for a short stay in Munich.

New Hotel - a little far from old town Munich
The hotel is a nice fairly new building. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. The air conditioner was loud and whistled. The hotel is also on the corner of a busy road, so vehicle noise was pretty loud.
To get to the old town part of Munich took a two metro trains to get there. Not too bad but if you're looking to be closer to the action this may not be the place for you.

Great hotel in a convenient location
I stayed at the hotel for family city break. The hotel is a very short walk away from the U-Bhan in a residential location. It is a very short journey away from the city centre. There are many shops and small markets from the hotel. A MacDonald's restaurant is very close by which we used for breakfast a few times. The hotel was clean and we would recommend to anyone.
The hotel was able to change one of our rooms to a twin room and fixed a partially blocked shower quickly. The hotel is next to a busy road and can be noisy first thing in the morning if you have the window opened. The rooms are air conditioned though. Do note this is a budget hotel chain and the rooms are small but perfectly adequate for the purpose of sleeping in.
The only negative is the charge for breakfast. At €11 per person a day, it would have costed us €264 for our stay. I can't comment on how good it is. We opted to go to the local MacDonald's and cafes near by at a much lower cost.
Overall, highly recommended but avoid the breakfast if it is not included in the room charge.

Three nights in Munich for sightseeing
This hotel was in good condition with friendly staff, a clean and comfortable but slightly small room, and a reasonably good breakfast selection. The hotel has its own parking in an underground garage, but this is limited in quantity (and was unavailable for us on the first night) and costs 10 euros per day. There is on street parking available, which is free at weekends. The hotel is outside the centre of Munich, but does not take long to get to by car. There is also public transport available from nearby the hotel. Overall, this was a good quality hotel, with good value for money, in a good location.

Budget hotel in the south of the city, 10 mins aways from the U-bahn that takes you to the city centre in 10 mins more. parking was 10e per day and room was OK, beds confortable, clean and decent wifi free. service was friendly, would stay here again without thinking it twice

Good overnighter or for seeing city.
We had initial difficulty in finding the hotel, and their own underground carpark was full, so we had to park in another (vast!!) underground carpark about 200m from the hotel. I then had to go to the second hotel a block away to get my parking ticket validated (and pay the 9 euros parking fee). The room was comfortable and very clean, with quality fixtures and fittings, and their was a good choice of food at breakfast (10 euros pp. extra). WE were visiting a friend in a nearby suburb, but I imagine that the hotel would be very convenient for anyone wanting to see the sights of the city.

Excellent hotel
The ibis Hotel provided a very small room that was so well designed that it felt like a large room. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, the breakfast was good, and the desk staff were very helpful. The only small complaint I had was that the room was a hot as a sauna, so we had to crack the window to keep comfortable. The hotel is close to the tram line, and the subway is one tram stop away. Loved it, would stay there again.

Had a good stay here for the oktoberfest, we booked late and this was the best deal around. We were two guys in a twin bedded room and it was a bit tight for space. Good showers, breakfast was good. 5 minutes to the train and about 15 minutes to oktoberfest.

Fantastic hotel
This is the best 2star hotel I have ever been to. The room was new, tidy and clean and the €10 euro breakfast was definitely worth it. I was surprised to find the wifi was free as it was only a 2star hotel. The hotel was in a perfect location, only a few minutes walk from the nearest underground station and from there only 4 stops to the main station.

Everything you expect from a Bed and Breakfast.
The room is small but clean. The beds are new. Linen is clean. The breakfast is worth the amount they are charging for it. Its near tram/metro/bus stations so about 15mins to reach the city center. Just a negative that it doesnt include bathrobe, sleepers, bath amenities but you shouldnt be expecting all this from a 2/3 star hotel anyways.

Room was tidy, nice bathroon, large shower, nice tv (but no real english channel options). No kittle for tea, but its readily available at their bar. It was cold outside, but the slumberdown was too warm at night, had to open the windows at night (traffic noise). Sfatt english is sufficient, always pleasant and helpfull. 10 euro for breakfast, but its very good, cold meats/cheese's, toast, breads, juices, coffee/latte's/capachino's/tea, cereals, fresh fruit, and its self service so eat till your full.
