It was a great surprise. I needed a place for one night and I found a diamond in the roof. The receptionist was amazing, super helpful and very, very nice. She answered questions. She told me about places that I needed to find in the town. The room was actually five stars as far as I’m concerned. Very clean a living area with a bedroom. It was perfect A+ on this hotel in Unterhaching.

I arrived at 9pm. The entrance and car park area was pitch black and taxi driver could not locate. Outdoor lights must be broken & it makes hotel look unoccupied. My room was nice. Sauna only opens at 5pm and costs €5. There is a gym room but only 2 dumbbells and 3 exercise machines.

Location, cleanliness, staff and breakfast were great, the rooms however had major problems with poorly sealing balcony doors that allow cold air and traffic noise from the adjacent traffic circle to enter the units we occupied. The first junior suite we were allocated had large gaps around the balcony doors and tilting window in the bedroom. The noise from cars and trucks outside was very perceptible and the room was drafty. The second unit was a little better noise-wise with a quieter bedroom, but the balcony door in the living room area didn't seal well and we had to prop a chair against it to reduce air and noise leakage. The suite was very cold because the thermostat didn't work. When we pointed this out, we were offered a plug in heater and/or blankets. The unit was still very cold in the morning which made showering an unpleasant experience. The staff were friendly and cooperative but unable to really help with the technical problems. Our underground parking was refunded and we were given a free breakfast voucher for future use which was really nice but didn't avert the fact that we had a pretty bad experience at this hotel.

The large rooms, excellent location for rail connections into Munich and excellent breakfast made it a solid 4 out of 5 for us. Rooms are more functional than beautiful and a couple of items were not working and need addressing, it overall it was a good stay and we didn’t regret our choice. Recommended for families who want a well equipped and large family room.

The property was a good option whilst staying for the Euros. It was clean and the room was massive! It was also very quiet. We felt the pillows were too soft and they were replaced with firmer pillows quickly!

It is about 30 mins away from Munich city centre, we found that trains were available every 20 mins so you had to time it correctly. Our room wasn’t cleaned the entire time we were there (we had the do not disturb on until 11am and then took it off- the cleaner did not come back to clean!). Fine by us as we got a free juice thanks to the environmental aspect but this is the only hotel this has happened that the cleaner hasn’t come back and got the rooms at another time.

The place is good except that the internet is very bad. In our room there was no way. They moved us to a smaller one and we had to buy a premium package and even paying we didn't have stable internet. The other thing is that there are no restaurants near the Hotel and those that exist are of very poor quality and service (most of them do not have internet for clients).
The hotel staff has a vocation for work (difficult in everything that is \"service\" in Germany) but it was not enough. I had to work and this forced me to move north of Munich to a hotel that said \"high speed internet in ALL rooms\".

Free wifi is unusable. They want to write free wifi to get customers. Then when customers come they want money for wifi. Free wifi is 20kb/s. Also shower has no peessure. Cant feel like i was showered. Free parking only a few spots. I had to find street parking. In genreal clean and nice fresh hotel. I like it. But street noise can be heard.

The first night experience was very bad, I checked in after 10pm and the room assigned to me was hot because the air-condition was not working and a lot of noises from the bar two levels below my room were heard because one of the windows is faulty (can not be closed). Although the front counter staff offered me a fan, free breakfast and free wifi immediately (the hotel was fully booked), I was disappointed and started to explore to stay in other hotel for the next two nights. I changed my mind after the general manager Mr Becker met me in the early morning next day. He explained that the air-condition was working but not as effectively as expected because of the high temperature in Munich (about 33 degree). He not only offered sincere apology but also had great service recovery plan. I was very impressed and it turned out to have the best experience staying there.
If you visit munich, choosing NH Unterhaching will never go wrong, If something went wrong unexpectedly, Mr Becker and his team are always ready to help you and your satisfaction is guaranteed.
By the way, the hotel room is very big and clean with almost everything you expect from quality hotels.

We had a very long day travelling and arrived exhausted and hungry at 9pm. Staff were amazing and rang round all the local restaurants to find one open and happy to take us. They were really kind and helpful. Hotel facilities were fabulous. Clean, tidy and exceeded our expectations. We were sorry to only be there for one night. It was perfect for our onwards journey too and in a nice area. Very happy to return there if we get the chance

We hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad. De (familie)kamer die wij hadden was erg ruim en voldeed aan al onze eisen. Veel ruimte in de kamer en aan alles was gedacht, eigenlijk wat je van een viersterren hotel verwacht. We hadden het hotel van te voren gevraagd of we onze (elektrische) auto mochten opladen in de garage en ook dat was geen probleem (wel via een normaal stroompunt). Heel klantvriendelijk dus en de parkeergarage (in- / uitrit) was erg ruim, hier waren we erg blij mee. Op loopafstand van het hotel ligt de S-bahn waarmee je in 15 minuten in het centrum van München bent, voor ons zeer ideaal. Ook het ontbijt was prima verzorgd en er was voor de kinderen zelfs een aparte kinderhoek. Mochten we nog eens naar München gaan dan zullen we zeker dit hotel weer opnieuw bekijken. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding was uitstekend en we raden dit hotel zeker aan!

The only downside is that the breakfast is unreasonably expensive 22-24 EURO. Much more buisness trip refund. But you can unsubscribe from the breakfast. Better go to the bakery or the nearest bistro.

The hotel is nice enough but in a somewhat residential area. The breakfast is good and tasty, but the hotel restaurant menu is basically non-existent for other meals - they only have pizza. I would probably stay there again if I was attending meetings in that part of Munich.

Took train from central station was easy and checking in went well. Room is exactly what I was expecting. The room did need updating though. Door edges were pealing, rugs worn out and hair on the tub. I didn’t reserve room with breakfast but it looked good. They informed me they are updated in the near future. With that I think rates should be a little lower or offer breakfast with room reservation til then.

NH hotel weekend stay

I cannot give enough praise about this hotel. The room was very spacious, it was actually a suite with multiple rooms and a small bar+kitchen. The couches, chairs and most importantly the bed were very comfortable and I got the best rest possible because it was also quiet. I read beforehand about the problems with the internet but I asked during the booking for a room closer to the router and in the room they gave me, I had excellent internet. I also avoided the breakfast because of the prize and it proved to be the right decision as there are shops and bakeries nearby. The staff was also very friendly and when I told them I might be a bit late on my checkout, they gave me another hour which is not a given.

We booked this hotel to attend the Octoberfest - very nice area - rooms large and spacious - bed/pillows extremely comfortable - good kitchenette with small fridge/microwave/plates. Staff very friendly and helpful - didn't have breakfast as thought price was too expensive - found a café nearby for coffee and croissants. Near U-bahn with good service into Munich City. Would definitely stay there again.

Room was good with separate sitting but A/C was not as cool, bad minibar, not cool at all, they said it's minibar, not refrigerator. I have no idea what the knowledge they have or they just want to ignore. Wifi was bad, asked to change room if it will be better, they said it all the same. The last day before we left, had to change room because refrigerator wastrel bad could not hold my food and drink, found out the net was better too. if you want wifi good, cool A/C, good minibar, this isn't your place to stay.

Nice Hotel Near S-Bahn

The hotel exceeded our expectations. There is still a new feel t the rooms. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, The rooms are well appointed with TVs in the living room and bedroom. Breakfast consists of a typical German breakfast with American touches to please any appetite. The best part is the S-Bahn is about 3 minutes away. From the Unterhaching station you can reach Marienplatz in about 25 minutes. From Marienplatz, a central station, you can reach all U and S stations. The partner tagescarte is the best deal because it allows a party of 5 to travel together for one low price.

Overall the hotel was good. The staff were extremely helpful. In my opinion, it may not quite be a 4 star. The hotel seems only to have either single beds or double beds. The double bed seemed bit small for two adults and has a single mattress. Every time a person turned while sleeping the other side of the mattress moved as well-so not so comfortable. Just as a suggestion to the hotel, we happened to be there on Sunday, March 26, which was daylight savings time switch. Since we didn't know about this we woke up to find it was one hour later than we expected. Not a problem although had we been scheduled to fly out that morning it would have been a potential disaster. I would recommend the hotel provide this information in the future to guests.

When we went into our room it was set for 1person 1duvet 2pillows toilet seat was broken.We went down to reception and the lady said she would send someone up. I felt she should move us which she did. I didn't find her attitude friendly. Room was fine /spacious/ tea coffee facilities. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. If you look at my ratings, they tend to be high, but this isn't just easy grading...I use Hotel.com reviews to my advantage. This hotel appeared to be primarily a convention hotel, but it was convenient to the S-Bahn. The spa was really relaxing (if mixed gender facilities are a problem for you, you might want to stay way, but it was not intimidating). The included breakfast buffet is the best I've ever ween in any hotel. Period.

Close to Sbahn station, food and most importantly, work. Far enough outside of Munich to be quiet, but only 10 minute train ride to Munich city. Hotel and Rooms are clean. I prefer a less rigid mattress, but it is likely fine for most people. Climate control worked a little slower but it was quiet and kept the room comfortable.

Very friendly and efficient staff.
The rooms are very spacious, like mini suites. Early check-in like after an overnight flight is possible if rooms are available but at a fee which I found fair. All in all a great hotel.
200 meters from the hotel is a commuter train station which connects you to Munich's fantastic public transportation system, 18 minutes to downtown and about an hour to the airport.

Great facility. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 25 minutes away from Munich HBF using S3 line. The hotel is located in very quite place so you can have good walk around. The only problem is the cost. Wifi is kinda bad, you could get real fast wifi with extra 10 euro, but that shouldn't be the case as some places offer high speed wifi without extra charge. The breakfast is very good with many different food they offer. But again the price matters. It costs 22.50 euro for breakfast. I know the menus are really great but it feels over priced. Then again I felt everything in Munich is expensive. Overall it was great place. If you don't mind the cost, this is place for you.

Great hotel! Great Staff! EXPENSIVE breakfast!

Excellent value! We loved our stay here. It is about a 20 minute ride into the center of town but is only 5 minutes from the S Bahn stop so it was very convenient.

Breakfast was WAY too expensive. €25 per person for breakfast (though it was nice) is insane.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area outside of Munich. Close to the train station (5 min walk), only about a 20 min train ride into Munich. There was a nice area that had some restaurants and bit of shopping within a few minute walk. Good for a business or quiet getaway stay. The free WIFI was a bit slow in the hotel. Front desk people were wonderful! Room was clean, although I did have issues with them not restocking my water, coffee and tea, but this was promtly taken care of at front desk.

Great Stay

This was a very modern and very clean hotel. Rooms were large and very well appointed. The staff were friendly and because we checked in early they went out of their way to accommodate us.
