The sink faucet was lose and falling off the sink. The shower dripped. There were no towels in the two adjoining rooms, and there was a large spider in one of the beds. This was the worse hotel experience I have on three continents. I spoke to staff and sent a text and was assured they would fix everything. But nothing was fixed. I had to go lobby to get towels. Poor Poor service. Not a good experience when traveling for a wedding.

Mostly everything was great. My only issue was our shower and sink didn’t produce warm water for very long. We called the front and they sent someone to repair it within 15 minutes. But even after the water was still getting very cold. We decided to deal with it instead of calling again.

If you want to step back into 1977 Long Island, this is your place. Really disappointing. First entire day we had no hot water in the shower. Finally we had to change rooms. What a hassle. Hotel didn’t even apologize…or offer to help us move our stuff. Fridge in the room didn’t work and there was no way to adjust the lukewarm temperature. Be careful of the hot tub…looked dirty…lots of little things floating around in it. You really get nothing except your room. The lady in the coffee shop is a gem though…seems like she was the only one who smiled in the whole building…such a character. Location was really good for if you are golfing at Bethpage. But next one I would get a house rental in one of the neighborhoods around the golf course.

We had a terrible experience at the Hilton this past Saturday evening. It was like staying in a frat house. Adults running up and down the hall, slamming doors, blasting music. Front desk staff told us, \"I mean, it's a Saturday night\". There's a giant sign next to the elevators saying quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. We experienced someone having a full on rave in their room well past 1am. We begged to switch rooms, and were told there was nothing available, however once my husband really lost his temper (at 130am), suddenly there was an empty room available on the other side of the hotel. We packed up our whole room and moved in the middle of the night. Truly horrible night and we will never return.

The hotel is dated and shabby. Having been to the property several times since it opened (40 some years ago) I can attest that the property has not been updated since then. Furniture in the rooms had wear holes on the arms with stuffing showing through. Bathroom sinks were cracked. Bath tubs needed resurfacing. Wooden furniture was chipped and cracked. Tile floors in the lobby had cracks and holes as if struck by a hammer. The carpets in the room were vacuumed a total of 1 time in an 8 day stay. Housekeeping needs to be requested, and even then was hit or miss. When we first walked into the bathroom there was trash on the floor from the previous occupant. They have the audacity to charge a mandatory $75 a night fee for 'incidentals' even though my quoted price stated 'incl taxes and fees'. Luggage carts were never available making it difficult to get things from your car to the room. For the rates they charge you per night there are better options, possibly at better prices.

We booked a deluxe king room and the room was ok. When we checked in we were informed the air conditioning was not working. Our room was not that hot but the lobby area was stifling. The first night we kept hearing a loud metal grinding noise but thought it would be repaired. The second night it was worse. In the morning my husband took the elevator up to the next floor and discovered it was the elevator making the noise. As we were right next to it we asked to switch rooms. They were very accommodating and gave us a new room. It wasn’t as large but it was away from the elevator which was good. We were looking forward to some sleep when in the middle of the night a large picture came crashing down over the sofa. We were terrified at first and finally saw the problem. If someone had been sitting on the couch they would have been severely injured. The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. When we left (we stayed 6 nights) the air conditioning was still not working. The first 2 days were 80 degrees and this made the hotel very uncomfortable. I really feel we should receive some kind of compensation as I am a Hilton Honors member and we do book Hilton when we travel.

Make long story short.
I stayed at The Hilton for 2 nights. My room temperature was between 81 to 78 F whole time.
Because it’s old buildings. They switched back to AC from Heat during heatwave in NY. They asked me to open the window, however it designed to open about 2-3 inches. They told me that they will find an electrical fan, never happen.

We all have known the heatwave came from news sauces.
It came three days before the day I checked in. But Hilton switched back to AC the day I checked in.
I don’t know why they didn’t start turning on AC before the heatwave came.

Not only my room but also whole building and guest rooms were hot.

I was not very happy to work in my room and I had sweat all the time.

Technicians are working hard for maintenance, and thy honesty told me that room temperature will not go down under 77 degrees for 4-5 days.

I would like to make a complaint to management office.

The first room I was given had air conditioning that did not work (room was 83°) and a shower that would not drain and leaked all over the bathroom. I was given a “renovated” room that had signs of rust and wear and tear everywhere. Shower curtains looked gross. Do better Hilton.

Just really slept in the hotel. I don’t like the bathroom personal products as the smell isn’t good for me. Thank goodness I packed my own personal products. The temperature was also warm in the room but my window did open which really helped out! Bed was comfy and the tv worked.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the experience my children and I had during our stay at the Huntington Hilton on Thursday, February 19th, 2026. As someone who has been coming to this hotel since childhood, it pains me to say that this visit, which was meant to be a cherished staycation with my own children, was nothing short of a nightmare. I had always trusted the Huntington Hilton to provide a memorable experience, but after this stay, I am left questioning if I can ever trust this hotel again.

Before booking our reservation through Expedia, I called the hotel directly to confirm that all amenities were operational, including breakfast the pool and the jacuzzi, as this was a key part of our stay. I was reassured that everything was running as usual, and I excitedly made plans for a relaxing getaway with my two young daughters.

Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, things began to go wrong. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed that it was freezing cold. When I tried to adjust the thermostat, it became clear that it was broken and would not turn on. I called the front desk, and after waiting 40 minutes with no response, I called again. After over an hour and a half, my two daughters, who had been eagerly anticipating swimming in the pool, were growing restless from waiting in the room. The hotel was very nice, the bar area was great. Our room was clean and comfortable but there were some other problems. The hallway leading to our room was blowing cold air and it was freezing. The heater in our room would not stay on so it was cooler than we would've liked. We thought the remote for the TV needed new batteries but the maintenance guy, who was very nice, said it was just an older system and there was lag time when navigating the menu, etc. We just had to go very slow. I didn't have a problem with the shower but my husband said he ran out of hot water but it may have been the spigot was temperamental. The good things I can mention is plenty of towels and the staff was very nice and quickly responded to our requests. This is a nice hotel but some infrastructure things are just older.

Customer service was poor . I purposely booked this hotel for the pool , I called the hotel prior to my arrival , they told me I could check in earlier w a $20 fee and use the pool . I got there and the pool was being cleaned , then I was told the pool was going to be closed for the day . We left the hotel and got a refund .

We were not happy with the rooms we stayed in.
In one room, the hardware fell off the shower so it was unusable. This was reported and the hotel followed up at 11:45 pm after we'd gone to bed.

In the other room, the drain was clogged and I pulled another guests hair out of it. It was disgusting. Then the drain hardware broke. This was reported and they offered to come fix it at 9:40 am. We were trying to get ready to leave for Christmas, so we asked that they came after we left. We returned and it was fixed however a large clump of hair was left behind. Also my room was very dark (only two lamps).

Gus, the GM overheard my conversation with the front desk regarding the worn furniture in our room, and a $ room security deposit for our stay for damages. As I showed the photos to the person at reception after our first night, Gus intervened.
In a most polite manner, he introduced himself, handed me his card, and offered to change our room with a significant upgrade. At first I declined, however, he wanted us to be happy, and explained the hotel is undergoing major renovations, albeit it takes time.
I still remember his words, “People check in as guests, and check out as friends “.
Although he alone cannot alter the Hilton corporate plans; yet locally onsite he and his staff understand customer satisfaction. Bravo!!

Our experience at this hotel was unbelievably disappointing. The first room we were given wasn’t extremely clean, and we could clearly hear full conversations, TV, and even sex noises through the walls. The only positive part of our stay was the front desk staff. they were kind, understanding, and quick to switch our room.
Unfortunately, the second room was somehow worse. The heat was the only option and we came to the room and it was 89 degrees, so we had to sleep with the window open just to be able to relax. From there it only went downhill: the hot water stopped working, a blow dryer started sparking and smoking in my hand, the sink broke, and the toilet stopped flushing.
This was hands down the worst hotel stay we’ve had in our entire lives. The staff did what they could, but the condition of the rooms and the number of issues we experienced were completely unacceptable. We would not stay here again and are hesitant to even stay at any other Hilton again.

Asked for pillows and comforter for the pullout couch and? Had to fetch them from the front desk. The pillows? Terrible. Walls in the hotel are paper thin. Got a phone call at 12:30am complaining about noise. Noise? Wife and i having a quiet conversation. WTH? Room was stifling. Turn on the AC? No. It's November and they only do heat. Have to crack a window. Hilton has seen better days.
