If you like 1997 this hotel is for you. I prefer 2026. Check in staff was amazing (Nicole) downhill rapidly. NO full-time restaurant on property and no room service. Room temperature was off.... don't visit when the weather doesn't match the season. Strange policy. Although, I am Lifetime Titanium status couldn't even get two hour delay. Asked to speak with manager, he/she wouldn't even come meet with me. Still have FAITH in Bonvoy, took train to New York Edition on Madison and was treated like a human.

There was no hot water, so I called the desk they said run the water for as long as you can until you get hot water. I did that and dumped hundreds of gallons of water before it got warm, then when I was in the shower, the water would go cool and a little warmer and back to cool.
The floor just outside the bathroom, the carpet was wet and ruined a fresh pair of socks. As I washed my teeth, I saw more than 4 pieces of female hair in the sink.
When I complained, they moved me to another room. I found the rooms dirty, and their stall was a problem with the hot water, So not a very pleasant stay.

We contacted the desk about noise in the hallways between 9:30 PM and 1 AM and nothing was done. We moved to another hotel the next night but no one would assist with refunding us for that. They blamed Hotels.com for not having a refund process (which we could not connect to either).

Also this Marriott has no room service and the room amenities are sparse. We will never go back here nor use Hotels.com.

Room was clean but two fairly small beds for 3 sharing. I water ran cold for ages before getting hot, not able to get extra coffee/creamer, pool was quite cold so kids didn’t want to go in for long. Breakfast was excellent very well stocked but an extra waffle machine would be good as it was busy each day. Very happy.

The room was dusty and shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles were empty. The room newly renovated and very small. No bags in the garage cans. Is this something new? The comforter on the bed was very thin. I adjusted the heat and used the comforter on the second bed to double up. For $176 per night the Marriott could do better.

Check-in was phenomenal and my suite was warm and cozy! The Manager Adam was kind, accommodating, and attentive to all my request. I’ve stayed at the Long Island Marriot prior, for a conference and returned because of the empathetic leadership of the management team and family oriented staff. My second stay exceeded my expectations and I plan to book the Long Island Marriot for all my future NYC stays moving forward!

Fire alarm kept going off and staff kept saying it was ok but it continued throughout the whole night not being able to sleep so I decided to leave hotel. Front desk staff initially said there were no rooms available and then I booked through expedia and got a room 1,2,3 and she said I said there are no rooms available. I then said I now booked through expedia and got a room. Terrible experience

Alarm went off 2 times in the middle of the night. Hotel manager talked on loud speaker several times. Could not sleep so it was an awful night. Left first thing in the morning without even getting breakfast. The pros were-

I've stayed here before and the hotel is consistent and dependable. It is overpriced for what you get, but there aren't many other choices in the area as convenient as this property. The hotel is clean and well staffed. The restaurant has inconvenient hours which caused me to go off property for several meals. The decor is dated, but ok.

The Long Island Marriott is conveniently located within walking distance of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. This is probably the best thing about this hotel. Due to its location, the nightly rates are premium priced, but the rooms and amenities do not justify the prices.

My room was dirty. The shower grout had mold (black in color). The shower head valve had some white substance (hopefully soap) caked on. The bathroom floor was not mopped. The ironing board was literally broken, and almost fell on my foot once I opened it. The closet has some kind of access panel in the roof which was open, and is probably what caused the closet smelled like sewer. I had to hang my clothes outside the closet.

The 3rd floor seems to be undergoing some kind of maintenance, as evidenced by ladders and paint cans in a corner, and they were mindful enough to display a \"pardon our dust\" sign. But when you are running a hotel and the floor is still being rented, don’t you have housekeeping clean the area at the end of the day? The hallway table with a phone was completey covered in thick dust.

The bed was comfortable enough. +1 for Marriott. However, this hotel brings shame to Marriott. Motel caliber rooms should carry Motel prices. There’s no reason why I should pay over $300/night for a dirty, run down room.

The hallway and room had an odd smell like musty, we had trouble turning the water on, the switch was stuck and it had mold around it. The AC was not cooling enough. The blankets and carpet were stained. Some of the outlets did not work. The hot tub was out of service our entire stay. The pool didn’t look clean and it also smelt like cigarettes or weed. WiFi is not free in the room. The couch in the room was dirty. The front desk was rude. I asked for a receipt and she was upset she had to print it out and rolled her eyes as she walked away. Not a good experience at all.

The original room we received had a leaky tub faucets and was seemingly clogged as water was pooled in the tub. I called the front desk immediately and they sent someone to assist very quickly. They could not resolve the issues with a quick fix so they offered a new room with the same amenities. We were moved very quickly! My only \"complaint\" is no one offered to assist us with moving our things/luggage up to the 8th floor from the 3rd. No cart was given or assistance offered. Not a huge deal as we only had a small amount of things but I can imagine if we had large bags and such. Overall it was a nice stay and we would definitely return.

You think Marriott and you think comfort. Not this one though. I give it 3 stars because they gave an early check in and the bar tenders were very helpful on what to explore.Towels were like sandpaper, no ATM on sight as it claims, and the night manager hovers over the workers like they don't know what they're doing. I would recommend another hotel but the bar tenders are cool

Cold shower water, loud refrigerator, elevator buttons need to be pressed multiple times to work, no luggage carts. Had to book two back to back rooms because unable to extend existing reservation earlier--but could make a reservation for the identical room for the day earlier. That meant we had to check out and back in for the same room, at which point all the keys stopped working, and we had to wait in another line to fix them. Housekeeping is amazing... The rest... Not so much. Only staying because close to Hofstra, otherwise not worth 1/4 the absurd $400/night rate.

As a long-time Bonvoy member, I’ve come to expect a certain standard from Marriott properties—but unfortunately, my recent stay at the Long Island Marriott fell far below expectations. The room I was assigned was not properly cleaned, which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, there was excessive noise due to ongoing construction that made it nearly impossible to relax or get any rest.

I understand that renovations and maintenance are sometimes necessary, but guests should be informed ahead of time and placed in rooms away from the disruption whenever possible. This experience was disappointing and frustrating, and I sincerely hope Marriott addresses these issues to ensure better service for future stays.
