Lovely room, were not advised not all restaurants would be open and what was open is very confusing - not even all staff seemed to know, amenities closed at short notice without warning (gym/shop/reception), confusion over what had/had not been paid for on check out, no other options to get snacks when shop is closed, food quality was excellent, gym equipment needs updating but there is a good variety, beautiful buildings and location

Hotel was very clean and looks spectacular. We stayed out of season so was very quiet with not all restaurants open during our time there. Taxi into town around 15 minutes so not the end of the world. Only negative was finding out where everything is, very large hotel with not the greatest signposting.

Excellent for a few of days of golf & relaxation

The hotel is really stunning and the views from the rooms, over the golf course to the sea are lovely. It is great stay for a few days of golf and spa/dining. We had half board and the buffet selection in the evening can be a bit repetitive. We had a strange smell in the bathroom which suggests the pipework might need an upgrade but otherwise the hotel is to be thoroughly recommended. Beds are super-comfy, befitting a 5* hotel. Pools are magnificent but the two best ones are too cold to be used in the winter months.

Stayed here for 4 nights in August 21. Lovely venue, the pools were absolutely brilliant. I have my 8yr old Son with me who loved the pools. We had breakfast on site at the buffet and this again was excellent.
We upgraded to a Junior Suite and expected a really nice room but it was quite disappointing. The view was a tree. That’s it! I asked to be moved (I was happy to upgrade even further) but was told that the hotel was full - even though it seemed not to be. Anyway, you’ll need a car to get around anywhere as it’s about 4km from actual Benidorm. Plenty of parking but it’s a few hundred Meters from the hotel entrance so it’s a little tricky to unload and reload your luggage.
They do suffer from the ‘reserved sun beds’ like some other places. There are loads and loads of sunbeds but everyone seem to get poolside really early to place their towels on them to reserve them. Almost all beds were reserved and I saw people coming poolside late afternoon when they’d not been there all day. I think this needs addressing by the hotel. Apart from that it’s a nice place. Some of the reception staff were excellent and some, not so.
The evening entertainment is in Spanish as is the Kids club. My Son stayed with me all day so that didn’t impact him.

Fabulous but could be even better

Everything was fabulous in the hotel. Staff is friendly and the place is amazing except for small details like the application they use to review the program or order dental kit or other which are not optimal. Not able to check the status of dental kit order or check the status of your restaurant booking. When they are making up the room they don't really clean around, they just change the towels and make the bed but no cleaning. And biggest issue we had with them is that they refuse to refund us a stay we booked in their hotel which happened to be during lockdown.

Really enjoyable half board stay. The buffet selection for both evening meal and breakfast was very good with a wide range of foods. The drinks on the evening were extra however prices were reasonable with a large selection of wine, beers and soft drinks available. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel was spread over a large complex with two golf courses, several pools, a gym and spa. There was also free secure parking available.

I used hotel as a stopover on a business trip up the coast but room was clean and tidy and reception opened the ironing room at 11pm as no iron in the room.
Hotel was quiet and the other guests all seemed to be golfers.
Decent breakfast option in the morning and facilities & spa looked decent but was not there long enough to use myself.
Outdoor parking free but is 10 euros a day if you use the underground parking.

Our family suite for 4 was located at the back of the complex and was in desperate need of refurbishment. I complained because 1) in bed 2 the tv was missing from the big wooden tv frame hung on the wall 2) the fridge didn't work 3) the air con stank of sewage 4) the upkeep was neglected and shoddy - no lightbulbs in lamps, lump of uneven concrete used to repair granite worktop, holes in cupboards where handles had been replaced, cigarette butts/drink stirrers over the grass outside, to name a few. After complaining I was shown another suite but this alternative also had no tv and had no fridge at all! The staff member seemed shocked and confused by this. This room was in as bad repair so there was no point changing. She gave me a big smile and said \"Is there anything else I can help you with?\" Erm, you haven't actually helped at all! The stinky air con and the fridge were fixed but everything else stayed the same. If you go here expecting no luxury, and no one will help or assist you in a positive manner, you won't be disappointed. If you have any expectation, like for instance, the beach bar being open between 1pm- 4pm the hottest time of the day, then you will be disappointed - it shuts then. Don't expect anyone to move any sunbeds for you to another area, this is not possible. Don't expect enough towels in room, beach towels to be available all day, drinks to be served at dinner without asking for them 3 times and photography hut to be open when they say.

Absolutely fabulous hotel, I’ve stayed in a few hotels in my life but never shone with 2 bathrooms.
Buffet breakfast had lots of choices with egg chef, detox bar fruits, pastries and loads more.
Bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in.
We also used the spa and had a massage, staff were all lovely.

Beautifull architecture. You can only say wow when you first see the setting. But very disappointing outdated rooms. A bad 3* max. Restaurants very average, breakfast buffet mediocre. The italian restaurant had 1 waitress. It took them 30 mins to get other personel once the resto got too full. We could not enter our room at night. It took a technician more than 30 minutes to break open the old lock on the door. Disappointing

Poor Security - Don’t take any valuables

While at the hotel Spa a known guest broke into my
locker and stole my Rolex watch. The hotel sub-director was notified and immediately went into a
defensive mode advising that their insurance would
not cover the theft . From then on we didn’t feel safe.
Don’t take any valuables to the hotel.

Beautiful Mediterranean Village

This hotel doesn't fail to deliver - the pictures don't do it justice to the sheer scale of the complex. It really is a village and it's beautiful in how it's been created. Staff are friendly and very accommodating, room was excellent and everything was extremely well maintained and kept clean. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were on a stag do so new Benidorm hotels were going to be hit and miss. So we stayed outside the town. Fantastic hotel with great surroundings great service and amazing pools. And we were far enough way from the carnage that was the nightlife we chose to go for. If I ever went back with family or on a relaxing break it would be my first choice of hotel if they would have us back

Work trip for a conference - design of resort is quite something..As this was early March not all on site restaurants were open in the evening - restricted choice meant return taxi to Benidorm Zona de Tapas was Euro 23 .

Staff were always smiling, helpful and patient despite some infantile, foul mouthed, intrusive behaviour from some members of stag/ golfing party from England.

We had a lovely stay here over the New Year period. The breakfast was lovely, and good that it was open until 11am, so we could have a relaxed morning. The complex was beautiful, and we enjoyed a walk each day. this was a very pleasant stay and I would happily stay here again.

The whole Hotel is beautiful, wonderful large lagoon pools, the Level side boosts peace and quiet, no children upper class large rooms and the best of service, which generally is true,
The restaurants, both sides have a buffet style restaurant and other themed restaurants you can book, but when whilst there they were being changed, so not always available.
We stayed there with meals excluded, soft drinks all day at the terrace and were offered wine with meals, if you wanted a soft drink then you were charged, strange !
The food generally good, but not amazing.
The Level also has a heated pool,similar to a hot bath, in the middle of summer not needed.
Our room although mostly clean, had Mould in shower, this Hotel needs more attention to detail.

Beautiful Resort but Limited Restaurants Open

Beautiful designed resort with amazing architecture.

Very large bedroom with large bathroom including separate bath and shower.
Walk-in wardrobe keeps room tidy.

Although the hotel has a number of different restaurants, many of these were closed as it was before the height of the season. The poolside restaurant and bar was not open during the week even though there were many people around the pool.

25th Wedding Anniversary W/End stay

From the moment we checked in to checked out was perfect. Diego the Receptionist was so wonderful and sweet to us. We were upgraded to Honeymoon Suite and a surprised complimentary Champagne and fruits. We have stayed to many hotels and not once we experienced this beautiful moment, perhaps upgraded but NOT the whole package. It was a very sweet and wonderful gesture and the appreciation from the hotel management was beyond our expectations. Overwhelming experienced and it made our 25th Wedding Anniversary an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much Diego and of course the management and the housekeeping staff for your beautiful hospitality. The hotel is magnificent, has a wonderful character in terms of architecture and very relaxing. Perfect for the wedding event... maybe when we renew our vows, who knows :)

Huge complex quite amazing. 10 mins to Town.

Huge hotel with lots of nooks to find. Be aware that for some people it can be quite a walk to your hotel room. Also do not store your room card near a mobile or computer as it tampers with it and you can get to your room to find your card is no longer working, then there is a trek back to reception. I would say this hotel is fantastic, caters for golfing holidays and carries out a lot of functions. There are a few fabulous pools which are stunning. The grounds of the hotel are stunning. Its 10 mins by car to Benidorm city centre/old town, or taxi ride. There are bus shelters just outside the hotel but not sure of their frequency. Its a hotel which is far enough away but equally close to the central part. Although hotel is adapted for wheelchair use, Id say probably not good idea as its enormous place with many lifts to different levels. Food at breakfast was very good, but cant comment on their restaurants as we didnt eat there after breakfast. 2 mins from Terra Mitika for the kids.

Food, breakfast, dinner and basically the whole menu suffers, so disappointing!

Coffee/tea facility would be nice in the bedrooms.

Great environment but few things need sorting

Great for environment and lovely pool but really REALLY poor internet and I needed that for my work. Also, the air con in the room which I was relying on for my perfect night's sleep seemed to only work in 20 seconds blocks every 10 minutes or so.. For no apparent reason.. Very frustrating!!!

Oh dear.

I await a reply from the hotel manager-maybe-

No staff at breakfast,a noisy fridge in room,a very noisy out side of room as the cleaners area was just down the corridor.

Bath not cleaned - and more.

I have written to the hotel manager ,I will see if I get a reply as no one came back to me from guest services whilst I was staying there.

It is a shame as the staff in the Italian Restaurant are first class even though the food is just not bad.The hotel has a lacking in staff numbers in my opinion.

We had a lovely stay after a dreadful start. Car jacked at Alicante airport. Tell people to be careful. All passports, money cards etc taken.
Good job we booked the same hotel last year they were wonderful and helped us to recover, etc helped us get passports etc.
restaurant Italian on the site was lovely and bar staff great friendly. it is a resort set out reminds me of a modern Portmerrian. delightful .

Lovely hotel with amazing swimming pool!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in mid September. We arrived very early on our first day, at 10.30am and the hotel were very helpful and let us check in early and go to the room by 11am. The usual check in time is 3pm.

The hotel facilities are very nice, and the hotel design really does make it feel like a Mediterranean village. The swimming pool was massive and very nice. We had our pick of sun loungers as the hotel was not very busy, but I have seen from other reviews that the hotel and pool area is very busy doing peak times.

The buffet breakfast was included in our room rate and we really enjoyed this. The selection was plentiful and included hot items, cold meats and cheese, fruit, cereal, pastries and toast etc.

We ate at the Spanish Tapas restaurant in the evening twice and the Italian restaurant once. Both restaurants offered excellent food and service and we thought the prices were very reasonable for this standard of hotel.

All members of staff that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. They didn't all speak English fluently but we got by.

What I didn't realise was that the hotel offered free parking for guests. If I had known that I would have booked us a hire car as the taxi charges to and from the hotel were expensive at Euro 70 each way.

The hotel is about a 10 min taxi ride from Benidorm.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again for a few days in the sun......but I wouldn't bother leaving the hotel to check out Benidorm!

Reservation and Management Problems

After making reservations and paying in advance for our honeymoon to Spain, Melia Villaitana informed us that they would not honor our reservation and we needed to book somewhere else. After much pain including a lack of communication from the reservations manager, we were placed at their \"sister\" property the Melia Benidorm for the first night. Then were to go to our originally booked property the Villaitana. I was told that all was taken care of. Upon check in at the Melia Benidorm for the first night, they did not have a record of our reservation and we were given a very sub par room instead of the upgrade for our inconvenience that we were promised. Upon check in the following day at the Villaitana, we were again given a sub par room after promise of an upgrade there also. I had to go back to a very busy front desk and complain before we got a room that was the level of our original booking. The staff was outstanding, the property beautiful, but the management would not even return an email or phone call when problems arose. Highly disappointed with the management and lack of handling our reservations with the respect that we deserved. Would not recommend this hotel for those reasons only.

Fabulous Hotel.

First class treatment from arriving at reception, until we departed.Staff very friendly and professional.Asked for quiet room and 10am check in, they obliged. Breakfast was first class, a variety of every choice, and the restaurants were very good, and for a 4 star hotel, the prices for drinks etc were reasonable. Taxi to the Old Town was about 10 euros, all in all a very classy stay, well done to all the staff, at a very busy time.

Staying here for a short break fri-sun was perfect. The hotel is great and myself and my girlfriend were made very welcome from the word Go.We stayed in a Deluxe Room which had a large King Size bed and seperate living area. The room was clean and finished to a high standard. We got this for just over £70 per night including breakfast. We found that there were not many english but mainly middle to upper class spanish. The evening entertainment was great from what we saw but we mainly went off the complex at night. the pools and all facilities were ideal and i have not one complaint. Do not be fooled by thinking this place is in benidorm as its actually a good 10min drive away in a very quiet park of the hill side. Id recommend this hotel to anyone and will not hesitate to return!

Stunning hotel

My daughter and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. It is stunning and we have had a lovely holiday, however when we arrived on Wednesday at 11.30 am the Melia reception was closed. The buffet restaurant and poolside bar were also closed. We eventually checked in at the Level reception and although the staff were very friendly, we were not made aware that our part of the hotel was closed. The hotel was very quiet. More guests arrived on the Friday and Saturday. Our breakfast was at the Level buffet restaurant and although it was in a lovely setting, it was disappointing with the hot breakfast items barely lukewarm. We did think going to Benidorm in October that we would still be able to get into Benidorm centre easily on the bus, however we later discovered that no buses were going past the hotel. A taxi ride was 10 euros each way which makes a trip quite expensive and we could only do the journey once a day. We wanted to dine in the tapas restaurant one evening, however we were disappointed that the food was already made and sitting on display we chose not to eat there. The Trattoria restaurant looked lovely and the Papa Mambo Jazz bar was lovely. We opted to eat in the buffet restaurant at the Level on the Friday evening but at 26 euros each it was very overpriced and not good value for money.
This is a beautiful hotel and the pool sides are stunning. We enjoyed relaxing at the man made beach and had it all to ourselves one day.

great hotel, pity about the service

Let down by reception - on arrival told room not ready and told we would be called when ready. We were tired and passed a miserable couple of hours before going back (no phone call). Then told room had been ready all the time but had been \"locked\" by an outstanding payment due from last guest (no apology) Only evening restaurant available was Italian and if you did not want pizza or pasta there were about 3 choices. Service for lunch at golf clubhouse deplorable - indifferent or absent staff. Otherwise a wonderful hotel, great room (premium) but they seriously need to get their act together on service

Beautiful Resort

This is a very beautiful resort with lots of things to do. There was also an amusement park and water park just a few minutes away. The resort is a bit isolated, you need to take a car if you want to go into town. The breakfast buffet was a bit of a madhouse.

two times here is more than enought

Generally it is good resort but so many things need to be improved. Now hotel is splitted on 2 parts and of course one is much expensive, but the same like the other. Nearest beach is benidorm, it is very bad beach with strange people from UK.

Horrible, old looking, without service

It was terrible from the arrival to the last minute. The total lack of service (I asked for an iron, they said it was impossible, but I had to pay 50€ to get one shirt and two trousers ironed) The food was a disaster, totally without taste, even children would have better taste than that. The \"minibar\" included water (still) and a Fanta... I prefer to pay and get the service. The bath room was textremely dirty with a lot of red bacterias below the obviously very dirty shower screen, and under the wash basin. The location for golfers is good, but for others not. The resturants and bars were not up to date (or not finished) and there were people standing in line for al very long time just to have breakfast, The swimming pools had a lot of natural stone finishings under water and they were full of geen bacterias - not for anyone to use. The parking should be free of charge in this bad location referring to all amenities apart from golf. The SPA was old fashioned, with a swimming pool with broken tiles, a \"relax room\" with dirty yoga pillows and staff that did not arrive on time. No bath robes or pool towles were included in the room fee and the all over feeling of the hotel is a maximum 2 star. I even had to interrupt the staff several times when they were talking to each other instead of paying attention to me as a guest. In total a horrible experience, I suggest you choose something else, this should be shut down, cleaned and renovated before even thinking about opening again.

This was a very comfortable stay with very good facilities throughout. Very good location if visiting Terra Mitica Theme park. A little bit out of town so not as full on as you would expect from a central Benidorm hotel.

Fantastic for family, couples or singles

Lovely hotel with fantastic swimming pools. The daily aqua aerobics class was great fun.

The hotel complex is massive and you could easily get lost.

The room was a good size, air con, massive tv and good bathroom.

The Italian restaurant was nice and the all inclusive buffet breakfast was fantastic, lots to choose from (inc. sparkling wine, fresh omelette station, numerous pastries and full cooked breakfast) and all really good quality.

Benidorm Plus.

The hotel and its facilities are superb. We had a premium room and it was gorgeous. The only downside being the prices of food and drinks at the resort. They are huge! 16 euros for a side salad. 4 euros for a bottle of beer. 2.50 for a coke. 22 for a pizza - you get the picture. This leaves the restaurants and bars quite empty as everyone goes into town for a more realistic price. Mind you it's 10 - 14 euros to get into the centre of town (4 minutes!) so you have to factor that in x2. Although strangely it's always cheaper to come back in the official cabs.
That said we loved it. The setting high above the town in the mountains surrounded by the golf course is beautiful. A gentle breeze always blows to take the edge of the heat too. So for a perfect 5 rating: drop the food/bar prices and run a bus service into town. Incidentally, if you haven't been to beni before. The old town is fab. The new town is what you see on the tv series! Both have their charms. ;)

My recent stay at Villiatana

Excellent service, very pleasant and helpful staf, nothing too much trouble and always smiling.
If you play golf this is a really good place to be.
The breakfast was superb with a huge choice to suit any pallate and the restrauants have a good menu choice.

Quality hotel in good location.

Lovely position in the hills above Benidorm but a little isolated. Some building work going on. The hotel has a quality look and feel. Levante golf course in good condition.

The only problem is getting to and from Benidorm, expensive if only 2 in a taxi. Went out of full summer season but maybe the hotel should offer a shuttle service to town? Also a shop on site for essentials.

How to spoil a pleasant hotel.

The hotel seemed quite full and the staff were busy - but, on reception, what do they do !?. After waiting 10 mins in a large queue to check in we were called to another desk (Level) and waited another 22 minutes whilst the receptionist dealt with the only couple before us. Why does it take so long to check in !!?. Then, the next night we were going out to dine and went (at about 8pm) to reception to order a taxi - and waited in the queue for 28 minutes this time before we reached the receptionist - and were therefore very late for the friends we were meeting at the restaurant. I should add that the taxi, when called, arrived in less than 5 mins. They badly need to reorganise their staff in dealing with the customers. Other than that, it was fine and a lovely place to stay.

Quite and relaxing with fantastic views

Very nice hotel, only problem we had was the pool attendant not very helpful and taxi service into Benidorm good but had a charge of 6 euros before we even got in the taxi. Overall great place to unwind.
