The hot tub was broken I told them everyday.I had to manually turn it on and off I think they arent fixing things like they used to.My room had 2 t v s The one in the bedroom was just a big hole.At least cover it with a picture.And last, the food was not as good as I remember.Grand Mirimar used to be my favorite place Not anymore.Please fix the problems

The Grand Miramar hotel is in top of the mountains in the neighbor of conchas chinas nice property if you’re looking for relaxation there is a little bit of struggle to go back and forward into town for lunch or diner
However if you want just relax the restaurant in the roof of the hotel has good food with astonish views of the bay

We stayed at Grand Miramar expecting a relaxing vacation, but unfortunately experienced a serious safety incident and extremely disappointing management response.

During our stay, the elevator door malfunctioned and closed on my recently operated shoulder/arm area. I had undergone major shoulder surgery only weeks earlier, and this incident caused significant distress and physical pain. Instead of treating the situation with care and professionalism, several staff members responded dismissively.

One front desk staff member giggled during the discussion. Another manager told me to “behave yourself” while I was trying to explain the safety concern and request assistance. The operations manager insisted that we had “used the elevator incorrectly,” despite the fact that my husband only pushed the door open after it had already closed on me. He further asked me to leave the hotel if I am unhappy.

What made the experience worse was the complete lack of meaningful follow-up from management. I sent detailed emails to the General Manager regarding the safety issue and the inappropriate staff behavior, but received no response to date. The operations manager promised to write an apology letter, but to date, we received none.

This was not simply a minor service issue. A hotel elevator malfunction involving a guest recovering from surgery should have been treated seriously, with empathy and professionalism. Instead, we felt dismissed, blamed, and disrespected throughout the process.

AC working great , room had a mini kitchenette, comfortable large bed and comfortable beddings . Position of TV in the room is a bid odd.

All inclusive for this hotel was only breakfast. They have a restaurant on site but was a little pricey. Also, once you do the check in, they charge you an extra $90 for tips and services so be prepared.

Check in process is great and as you would expect. Breakfast was included on our stay and it was buffet style. Could have been better but what was there was ok. Nothing special but you won’t go hungry.

The reason for the 3 star is in the maid service. It was spotty at best. We were supposed to have turn down service every night which should have included water but we only received water 2x and on some days the room was t even cleaned dispite the “clean the room” sign being on the door

Grand Miramar was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

The property is beautiful, quiet, and incredibly clean, such a romantic setting. The view is panoramic and can be viewed from every inch of their property! Our room was huge, and we especially loved spending mornings and evenings out on the deck watching the sunsets.

The pools were refreshing and very well maintained, with super comfortable lounge chairs. The robs, the linens, the towels are perfectly white and great quality! Breakfast was delicious with lots of great options, and the drinks were excellent too.

What really stood out was the staff, they were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. It truly made the experience feel top notch.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, romantic getaway, this is absolutely the place. We took a cab into Zona Romántica once a day (about $8 USD each way plus tip), which was easy and convenient.

The pink flowers around the property, even the ones drifting into the pools, made everything feel even more beautiful. It was honestly breathtaking.

My husband and I would definitely recommend staying here!💕

Amazing views and a beautifully maintained hotel with an excellent restaurant. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The property sits high on a substantial hill, so walking to the beach takes about 30 minutes and reaching the Romantic Zone is closer to an hour on foot. Fortunately, taxis and Ubers are inexpensive and typically get you to the restaurants and bars in under 10 minutes, making them the most convenient way to travel between the hotel and town.

Location can be a little inconvenient (~$10 US taxi each way), but that comes with the view, and the staff is very helpful! Private hot tub on our patio was amazing and worth every dollar. For the price, however, a few things could be improved upon: Pools were rather cold. Bedding and sheets were just OK and pillows were hard. But those are minor things in paradise!

We had breakfast buffet a few times, the wait staffs manage to remember our personal preferences rather quickly. Turn down service is provided every night. The facility is not at its prime but clean. The grounds are very well kept. Pools are perfect size for kids. Overall very positive experience for a family vacation.

This property is really beautiful. And the staff are wonderful. The room is clean and comfortable. There is a coffee shop on site and you get the buffet breakfast and for lunch or dinner can order from their restaurant for a cost. The pools are lovely. And the view is wonderful. It’s really nice and quiet up in the mountain compared to the rest of Mexico.
The kitchen in the suite is great, but you get no pan or utensils to cook with even tho there is a hot plate area. We were told we would get new water bottles everyday with room service, and although we didn’t ask for service everyday, the days we did…no water. So we continually had to buy water in town.
The food is sub par. Overcooked, and sorely lacking salt continually. We were there 16 nights and everyday was pretty much the same breakfast items minus a couple things here and there that they would change up. Everyday was the same fruit, same overcooked pancakes and overcooked waffles. That being said you can order from the kitchen an omelette or other eggs and toast or bacon etc. The guacamole off the lunch menu was tasty but continually we got chips that would break your teeth. If you don’t mind having to take a taxi or Uber into town continually or a good hike up and down a mountain then this is a place to visit. Ubers weren’t that much to get to town and would come fairly quickly. All in all it was a nice stay. But for us the food was really a reason to not come back.

Rooms: cleans as expected. Spacious and comfortable.
Service: I had high expectations due to the reviews read prior coming. However, 30 per cent of staff was cordial, 70 per cent was not our just the average. I felt mislead by the person responsible for the tours. I requested the tour to Islas Marietas, since it was my birthday and I wanted to visit that unique place as it showed in the ads. It was so disappointing when I was snorkeling and when asked about the \"La Playa Escondida\" and was informed that was a different tour, with a completely different name despite being at Islas Marietas.
There is cirque du Soleil here and when I asked for the price, the girl changed the subject, trying to sell a different local tour.

When we went for our first breakfast day, when entering the room, the staff called us in front of everyone saying that we needed to sign the papers. Very rude for a 5 Star Hotel.
When going to the pool bar, we wanted to shower first. There's a huge shower in front of the pool. However, we cannot open ourselves, we depend on someone to open it, that doesn't pay attention that we are waiting to shower. We need to figure out how to use it and ask the staff, that are there and don't open it without asking.
In regard to the hydromassage. It is supposed to work until 9 pm. Only one out of four was working and nobody was there to support and make it work.

I give it four stars. I’ve been going to Grand Miranar for many years. Overall site is well maintained and clean, staff is friendly. food is phenomenal. There is not as many staff as in years past, house keeping, pool area. You can see where they have cut costs paper napkins vs cloth, complimentary water is COSTCO bottled water. Other than that I had a great time as usual.

It was a really nice place. Beautiful views. We had friends all traveling into the city. And it was really annoying to have to pay to have our friends come around. Even if we wanted to quickly grab something from the room they weren’t allowed inside without a notable double digit payment. Kind of insane.

We had a little mishap with booking excursions. The price at the hotel and the price at the location were different. So maybe verify before you pay.

The map makes it seem like you could walk into the center of city. But it’s actually not that close since this is at the top of a pretty high hill. But a really quick Uber solves that problem. But you’ll have to do it every time.

The rooms are nice and spacious. They could use a little more attention to detail when cleaning. The staff was nice but service was on the slow side. The adults only roof top pool is excellent. We all really enjoyed the food as well. Staff members Ivan and Maria were so friendly and attentive. The biggest complaint we have is the bottled water. The only option was $5 bottle Evian water (500 ml) if you choose not to do all-inclusive. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Headline: 5 Star Potential - 3 Star Experience.

We booked 15 nights to celebrate Christmas, New Year and our ten year anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted with 'Welcome Home' - that's where the feeling of really being welcome ended.

The room was lovely, although the master suite doesn't get sun loungers as they are shown.

Breakfast is chaotic. The staff rush around but don't seem to achieve much. There was an A La Carte menu, but you didn't know what was on it as there's no menu or QR code to view it. It was 5 days in that we realized Bacon was an option because we saw it on someone else's plate. Overall, nothing special and pretty repetitive.

Lunch and dinner was average at best. The rooftop restaurant is stunning to sit at but the food didn't live up to the environment.

In relation to the rooftop pool, you have to vacate it by 5.30. We complained about this and two security guards appeared to tell us we had to go. On New Years Eve we were all told that we had to leave the rooftop pool for a private event at 2pm. This was handled incredibly poorly.

The staff generally were OK and polite when you engaged with them, but they weren't proactive at all - nothing surprised or delighted us about the service.

It felt like we were in the way and we felt that the experience was cheap - revenue over our experience. Also, don't go to the communal bathrooms without a torch because the light timer goes off after a minute and you are plunged into darkness.

Def off the beat and path so you need to either Uber or have a rental (NOT walking distance to the beach haha as its on a massive hill) Place was great overall ... be careful the more basic suite even though they say ocean view are only floors 1-3 and mostly have a pool view ... pay the extra for the next level up and the 9 floor views are amazing.

The stuff is amazing. Hotel is beautiful. But location isn’t the best. Every time we needed to leave the hotel we needed to take a taxi which was 6 dollars (to get to town) hotel is located at the top of the mountain and it takes at least 20 minutes to get to the beach walking down. It’s very inconvenient. I wish I looked it up before I booked it. Also it’s not very kid friendly. If you’re traveling with kids I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The pool at the top floor is absolutely stunning but kids are not allowed to use it which obviously makes it very upsetting for the whole family. The pools at the bottom floor are kid friendly BUT kids are not allowed to go in the jacuzzi. Which is very inconvenient once again. The water in the pool is chilly and when kids get cold obviously they run to jacuzzi. The stuff seemed to be easy going about it and sometimes I’ve seen 2-3 families with kids at jacuzzi but stuff would come back and try to kick kids out of the jacuzzi. Water is perfect in jacuzzi so there is zero worries about “overheating” etc. Overall gorgeous hotel but we wouldnt stay here again. We would find the hotel with walkable location. But it’s our faults we didn’t do a good research before we booked

All in all, a good place to stay if you're looking to get away from the busier, noisier and more crowded areas of the city. Staff were helpful and friendly and the view was lovely. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful. Dining and pool areas were also pleasant.

However, we choose this place, in part, to have a quiet place to stay. As such, the \"soundproof\" description played an important role in our selection of Grand Miramar. Although the room was described as \"soundproof\" (on the Expedia listing) that was not the case at all. Even with all entrances closed, we regularly heard the very loud sounds (from outside our room) of cleaning carts, slamming doors (room entrance, bathroom, closet cupboard) crying and screaming children, hallway conversations, flushing toilets and running taps. At times, these where louder than the apartment sounds from which we sought escape while on vacation, and loud enough to wake us from sleep or make it difficult to fall asleep some nights. Since restful quiet was important to us (particularly when trying to sleep), this made the experience less pleasant than expected.

I recently stayed at the Grand Miramar Hotel and had an excellent experience. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-prepared. I was especially pleased to get a fantastic last-minute deal through Expedia when my flight was unexpectedly pushed out. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I’m not sure why this place has good reviews — it was very run down. I booked the junior suite and there was a horrible smell in the room. I tried to overlook it but the next morning I went to go take a shower and when I opened the shower door I almost threw up from the smell. There was definitely something rotting in the pipes. The rest of the hotel also had a mildew smell and the common areas were very damp. Finally, the breakfast was a buffet included in my stay, but I was being chased down for a tip by the staff who insisted I return to my room to get my credit card if I didn’t have cash to leave a tip. I am very diligent about tipping but didn’t expect to be pressured to leave one at a buffet. This place was not worth the price nor did it reflect the high quality represented in the reviews or photos. There are far less expensive hotels in the area that are much cleaner and better maintained.

I had a fabulous stay here. The property is gorgeous. The bougainvillea everywhere is very lush and vibrant, and the views are stunning. The staff are friendly and highly responsive. The breakfast buffet is delicious. I’d go back in a heartbeat. The only caveat is that getting into town requires a car trip, and the dinner restaurant doesn’t serve Mexican food, which is what I wanted. Once I got used to the trip I didn’t mind much — I could always get a taxi or uber quickly and the cost is minimal. And without being on top of the hill, they wouldn’t have those views!

The resort feels very quiet, this is partially due to the time of year we visited. The staff is awesome and not pushy on selling time shares, activities etc. Room was huge with a hot tub on our balcony. Pools were super nice, only suggestion would be for the pool staff to come around a little more, they would sell more drinks if they did, several times we had to go looking for someone to get us one, but this may have been a staffing issue, because they took a while to arrive also, but this was not a deal breaker. The views are amazing, and we even walked down to town a couple times but no way we were walking back up. When you visit you will understand. The ubers and taxis are all very convienent, never waited more than 10 min worst case for a ride, cost was about 6-10 $usd.

This is our second stay at this property. As always, the staff was lovely and accommodating. We really enjoyed the scenic views, the relaxing pools, and clean rooms. However, the menu options were much more limited than our previous stay and they were out of a lot of things most nights. The food quality has definitely deteriorated since the last time we came here which is a bummer because the good food was one of the reasons we chose to stay here. The elevators were also a little bit slow. We did appreciate how wonderful the cocktails were, how helpful the lady at the excursion desk was, and how kind all the staff was. We feel safe and taken care of.

Excellent service from bell men, easy to grab a taxi or get an Uber into town. View is amazing! Pools were great and quiet. Room is large with wonder views from the balcony. Not really a place to party. It’s super quiet.
You have to put transportation into your budget for all the taxis. They only have 1 shuttle going down at 11 and coming back up at 6:30 and you must sign up for them beforehand. It’s a long way up so walking is not really an option. This was the only draw back for us. It was very beautiful. They have a coffee and smoothie bar and a wonderful delicious included breakfast!

Beautiful spotless room and its accessories/artwork. Amazing views of the ocean, shoreline, and mountains from the room balcony. The hotel is on a mountain and probably the property with the best views in entire PV. The staff is courteous, polite and helpful and willing to help out with any questions. Wonderful pools and seating area on the roof and on the lower floors. Overall a great experience.

Lovely property! The roof top pool is beautiful! Staff was very friendly! We really enjoyed the quiet and relaxing vibes! Views from the spa are amazing - our two massages were the BEST!
A bit disappointed in our room. We booked the master suite which had a fantastic view of the bay and city lights! Balcony was large and private. However an abandoned building completely blocked the bedroom view. The window looked out directly to a concrete wall! Since the master suite rooms are supposedly their best rooms, they should advise that not all of the Master Suite rooms have full views!

Loved everything about this hotel. I’ve stayed in beachfront resorts but this was a different vibe, it felt like you were in a rainforest and completely at peace. GREAT OCEAN VIEW and very friendly staff. The room was very beautiful, everything was very luxurious. I most definitely recommend this resort to anyone, don’t look any further.
