Unfortunately, the hotel (hallways, lobby, elevators, third floor, and even the garage) had a nauseating smell.
The room itself was perfect; the issue was only in the common areas.

I understand that sometimes a drainage pipe can break at a time when it can’t be repaired immediately, for example. What bothered me, however, was that when I asked the front desk agent about the strong smell, he told me he didn’t notice anything. He even asked the security guard next to him, and he also said he didn’t smell anything.

The next day, when I checked out, I asked the same question to the morning front desk agent, and she explained that they had a problem with a waste pipe since the night before. She apologized and told me they were working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Same problem, same question, but completely different attitude toward the guest. That’s the reason for my rating.

Great room. We were there at a quiet time of year so maybe to be expected but staffing levels didn’t seem adequate for the number of guests. We waited a long time to check in and there were also long waits at the bar.
Good variety at breakfast but the food under the heated lamps was cold and one of the coffee machines was out of action for our stay. Quite a way out of time so nice and quiet but nearest bus stop was about a 15 minute walk away and buses were infrequent

Hotel was lovely, good size rooms and no issues getting beds around the pool.

Theme park across the road is excellent and also the wildlife park which is about 20 minutes away.

Decent selection for options for breakfast and evening meals.

The Hotel was clean and tidy, however, its a busy place and full of families. Breakfast time was hectic and the staff struggled to maintain the pace of demand.

We enjoyed the pools, the gym, and the location, not far from the town or the local attraction's. An ideal base for a family holiday.

We was unsure about staying too far away from Benidorm itself and even though the distance is not far you need a taxi to go around the motorway. However the panoramic view and the quiet area was fantastic. The hotel is stunning and great for families. Even getting a place by the pool was done with little effort.
My only criticism is that staff can be quite slow almost too relaxed. Getting pool side dinks from the bar took forever to the point where you give up. That aside we will definitely go back

Laundry service wasn’t available. Hotel was under repair. Staff apologised. Any food I had there was substandard and cold. Seemed that I was the only guest for the first 4 days. Probably the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. I’m surprised that the Grand Luxor was aiming to partner with the Marriott chain. No, I won’t be returning.

This was for my wife's birthday and the room was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful. The only negative was the condition of the sofa. I was not going to share it here, but the fact that they were aware when I mentioned it to them, made me wonder why wasn't it replaced.

The 2 bad things about The Grand Luxor Hotel

Everything was was excellent apart from 2 things The Breakfast, fruit and continental were OK. But the cooked breakfast was well below par. No proper sausage, bacon was all fat very low quality, eggs always undercooked, beans cold and low quality. Tomatoes and mushrooms cooked in garlic???
The pool areas not maintained and not cleaned daily. Broken wine glasses left under sunbeds for 5 days. Unacceptable really.

Fantastic hotel in quiet location but quick access into Terra Mítica.
Only disappointment was with Expedia … We booked an ocean view room but were given a Mountain View … spoke to an agent who was no use at saying we’d booked a Mountain View . We had no confirmation from Expedia that we had a Mountain View or I would have contacted before the holiday.

Nothing around the hotel (walking distance) apart from theme park

Nearby and 10 minute taxi to any restaurants or nightlife. Great value for money with unlimited theme park water park and sealife park tickets included. Would stay again

The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, exceptionally clean and a lovely environment to be in. The staff were all amazing. The pools are great for relaxing and play. The theme park Terra Mitica is literally next door and you get free access as a guest of the hotel which is amazing. The park has enough for younger kids who cant go on the larger rides. My son is 5 and had a blast.
You also get free access to Aqualandia and Mundomar which are a water park and a zoo in Benidorm, about 15 euros in a taxi from the hotel.
My only concern was how out of the way it was for convenience items as there are no shops in the hotel or close by.
The breakfast buffet had a large selection to suit everyone.
The bar had good snacks for a quick dinner, i recommend the 4 cheese pizza.
Overall a great hotel with loads to do and we would like to return.

It’s a little out of Benidorm and you need a taxi to get down town. Taxi is about 12 euros.

View from the room is beautiful. We liked the tile floors and design of our room.

There were plenty of options in the breakfast buffet.

Fantastic hotel & a great location for seeing the beaches, towns & the interior of that area. From the moment we were greeted by the gatehouse team, to the reception, catering & cleaner staff, they were all great ambassadors for the company. Apart from one luke warm bar meal and an influx female under 19 football teams who were noisy at times, I would still thoroughly recommend this hotel. PS double check what you have booked in terms of a Mountain or Sea view.

Beautiful Hotel and Location, rooms are very modern and comfortable, view over Benidorm is stunning in the sea view rooms. Breakfast was a big disappointment, there was a huge conference at the hotel and the families were put into a temporary breakfast area, which was chaotic, no clean tables, food was very poor and heated from oil burners in temporary Bain Marie’s and they could not wait to clear the buffet and people from the room at 10am. This did have a bearing on my opinion of the hotel and considering how much breakfast cost for the 4 adults we could have driven into the town and had a better breakfast.

10 mins from centre of Benidorm which suited us fine (€15 taxi) lovely hotel, fantastic spa (great massage!), food great, drinks a bit expensive but overall really pleasing. Would suggest asking about their planned company event nights (so not open to public) as one night very loud music until 2.30 :( and this is the only reason for not the highest score. We could have moved rooms at 1.30am but funnily enough chose not to so just put up. Such a shame as other than that it was ideal.

Great value to include access to the parks. Lovely rooms well presented and spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet huge and great food. Reception needs to advise guests at check in on arrival times of breakfast and check out times. We had to go back to ask as no answer no home from room phone when we called to ask the question. Hotels.com also need to advise customers that you need to always have a passport for checkin. The hotel info on confirmation document stated you require a government issued form of ID for checkin but this only applies if you are Spanish. Anyone not Spanish needs a passport. A drivers licence won’t do.

This was a nice hotel set way back from the chaos of Benidorm. Hotel and room was very clean. Unlimited free access to Terra Mitica was a bonus as it’s 50 yards from Reception.
Walking into Benidorm is just over 3 miles downhill all the way! 13 euros will get you back up the hill in a taxi at the end of the night.
Only complaints I had were:
You have a Tea/Coffee boat in the room, but only get sachets on the first night, same with bottled water.
The length of time for lift doors to open once reaching your floor becomes really annoying.
Hotel could do with a shop, it’s 4/5 star hotel that has a few vending machines.
Although the proximity of Terra Mitica is nice, the rooms at the rear of the hotel are subject to the TM theme tune constantly played from morning until 10pm.
The pools don’t open until 10am and Breakfast doesn’t start til 8am

Great pool very clean and well tended. Brilliant having free access to terra mitica - effortless, literally a 30 second walk from the hotel reception to the theme park gate. Buffet breakfast and dinners were very good indeed, excellent selection and quality food, cheap beer and wine. Will be returning next year for sure.

Advertised as 5 to 10 min walk to beach but was actually a 10 to 15 min taxi ride as were no buses ended up very costly in the end. Taxis vary in prices, also we were half board including breakfast and dinner I was very disappointed with the food was always cold never hot, dinner is also a buffet and is cold. Spa was expensive for what it was 20 euros for one hour and some of the spa wasn’t even working. Won’t be booking through Expedia again as I don’t believe they are truthful when advertising

Situated outside Benidorm so away from the mayhem but only 10 mins by taxi. Right next to Terra Mitica the theme park so very convenient for there but very little else around which does can either be a good or bad thing depending on your prefence. Rooms are very well appointed. Immaculate and comfortable. 2 pool areas with plenty of sun beds. Huge breakfast selection.

The hotel was nice, no complaints at all. The restaurant food however was not good. The hotel is adjacent to a water park and the food is geared to young kids. The dinner buffet was chaotic with kids everywhere and the food was terrible.

The hotel is exceptionally clean with super facilities. We stayed half board and was well worth the money. There was plenty of choice and you could eat in the restaurant area or on the terrace. (Food could have been hotter.)
Our room was great and well equipped even with toothpaste and toothbrush!!! The fridge was handy.
The pool area was superb - and the range of beds fantastic - the comfort of the seating area was just wonderful.
We stayed the May bank holiday weekend and it was quiet certainly no need to rush out early and place a towel on the sun lounger!
The hotel is out of town and you do need a hire car or take a taxi if you want to get out. I liked the escape and think that was why it was so peaceful.
A VERY RELAXING STAY IN A GREAT HOTEL.

This is a beautiful hotel with good facilities and I would gladly stay here again. It is about a 15 Min drive or (about 13 euros by taxi) from the heart of Benidorm. There will be a theme park opening soon near to the hotel but otherwise there are no other amenities close by yet.

This hotel is lovely but the food was always cold we were the first to eat for dinner so u expect the food to be hot it wasn’t that was very disappointing it was Luke warm . Also I asked at receoeption if they could do something for my boyfriends birthday like a cake and said I don’t mind paying extra for a cake they said yes we will bring it out the following morning at the breakfast table but it didn’t arrive I then after breakfast I told them they said ok I’ll get someone to send it to your room in 10 mi s I said ok we are going out now so hopefully the cake will be there when we get back but yet again no cake arrived . I went and told them again and they said it will be up in 10 mins half hour later 2 little slices of cake arrived with a small dollop of cream and a few nuts on the cream . I’d sooner they never bothered! I’d rather of paid for a whole cake . Also the first morning we woke up to the cleaner banging on the door then opening it not once but twice! We got to hotel at bout 1.30 the last thing we wanted was to be woken up at 8.30 in the morning so I complained. Apart from that it was really nice.

Hotel is of a 5* nature and something you would see in the luxurious areas of Dubai. Staff very friendly and helpful and the hotel situated in the mountains with amazing views of central Benidorm the coast and the buildings. Only reservation was the spa was not operating and a limited dining menu I believ this was due to it being low season etc

A really excellent hotel which offers good service

The hotel was quiet during the week but moderately busy at the weekend. The staff were very friendly &without exception, very helpful, including allowing us to shred a considerable amount of personal documents associated with the sale of our holiday home! Our room was excellent, with superb views over the golf courses, & almost the whole of Benidorm, including Levante & Poniente beaches! A wide selection was available for breakfast, including a full English breakfast, cooked to order. The Reception & Bar Staff were eager to please, & following a rather frustrating experience of the Spanish legal & banking systems, were extremely efficient. We really enjoyed our 5 day stay in this four star hotel, & will certainly stay here again! One additional point, guests enjoy free entry to the adjacent Terra Mitica Theme Park from Easter onwards!

Classy Luxurious Hotel

Beautiful new hotel with amazing views. Staff so helpful & friendly the place was spotless. The free spa for an hour everyday (during winter as the theme park was closed) was fantastic. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, one of the best I've stayed in around the world. We were very lucky that we basically had the hotel to ourselves though (maybe 10 couples & a few kids), so very quiet. It is quite a distance from the old & new towns, we just walked down during the day & got a taxi back at night at a cost of around 13 euros.

Pretty much perfect!

Simply fantastic! Alba on Reception was just brilliant. A lovely Hotel, great food with 10/10 service that is very difficult to find. Will definitely be going back.
