Easy parking (plenty of capacity), great check-in staff, amazing building!
Room was beautiful, comfy bed, amazing decor, great facilities, fresh milk in the fridge, heated bathroom floor, hot powerful shower. Impressed. Reception phoned the room to make sure everything was ok.
Only improvements - corridor access door to stairs on self-closer was noisy and woke me up through the night as room was close to it, easy fix with some felt pads. Bar area, no tables, needs better arrangement so more can fit in which would be possible.

Hotel was oldy worldy quaint on the outside, but smart and modern on the inside. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a nice touch for them to leave a small Birthday present of chocolates and prosecco as I had mentioned it was my wife's birthday. Central location with parking makes it a great choice for Stratford on Avon.

Check-in gave a poor first impression. Receptionist clearly didn't know what she was doing and even though I had paid in full when booked, tried to charge me again for my stay. No apology for the error. Also, disappointing that when I contacted the hotel to let them know it was my partners birthday, they we unable to offer anything extra.

Staff wonderful, restaurants, bars and lounges were plentiful and we loved the authentic timber construction and decor throughout the old areas of the hotel. Our only “complaint” was the overwhelming aromatherapy in the lobby, but it was Christmas-time so… to be expected? Overall a perfect location for visiting River Avon and historic Stratford.

Hotel location is excellent as only a few mins walk to shops, restaurants, pubs and theatre. We only stayed one night so did not eat at the hotel. Prior to arrival, the hotel reservations team offered to guarantee us a room with a walk in shower near a lift after I mentioned I had a knee injury. I consider that excellent customer care and it was much appreciated. Their on-site car park is reasonable at £15 per night. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space. Bathroom was clean with high quality toiletries. As well as the usual tea & coffee tray, water, soft drinks and snacks were included in the room rate which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, there were a couple of downsides to our stay. There was a lack of maintenance of the room where a drawer handle came off because of a missing nut/bolt, a large patch of the bathroom ceiling was badly peeling away and, shockingly, the velvet bedspread was covered in large brownish stains (food? blood?). It was quite disgusting actually. Housekeeping should have noticed it when they were folding it to put back on the bed. I reported all this to reception (with photos) and commented that we were shocked to discover it, especially from a hotel of its calibre. However, I think we would return as there was so much to like about this hotel. This would have been a five star review had it not been for the poor room maintenance and housekeeping. We hope it improves.

This properties historic section is absolutely stunning. I have only ever rated in one other hotel that was older than this one .This property dates back to the mid 1600’s but has fully modernized sections . Exquisite dinning and a Pub from Robin Hood days .

The perfect location

We had an amazing time. The hotel is in the perfect location close to the Town and everything is in a short walking distance of a few minutes. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable. We stayed in a contemporary room which had air conditioning and this was a huge bonus considering we traveled during a heat wave. The small courtyard was perfect for sitting out and having a drink in the warm summer evenings

When we checked in we were not made aware that we needed to separately register our car - apparently we should have been handed / directed to a tablet to do this. Consequently we received a parking “fine” letter; however the hotel dealt with this very promptly after I phoned them about this.
So be aware of the need to register your car!
Great location, we chose a superior Tudor room and it was lovely. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were very spacious and felt luxurious

We booked a room in the Tudor section, and loved the room.
In the heat of the summer, the room has an air conditioner installed and run before we stepped inside.
Best shower in a hotel I've ever used!

Breakfast was plentiful, and a gluten intolerance catered for very well.

We did not like the lighting in our room. Switches too confusing and too dark when all was on.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Indigo. We stayed in the older, tudor part of the building (by request) and they were lovely and added to the experience of being in a historical town.

Nicely decorated, lovely shower and bathroom, and fans and a portable aircon unit was waiting for us due to the heatwave.

Nice amenities such as espresso machine in room, also there were bath robes but we didn't find them until it was too late, they were hidden in a bedside drawer!
