Everything good - staff very attentive on check in.
However evening time - we weren’t 100% sure where we could sit to have a drink in the bar. The library room was in darkness, there was a party going on in a neighbouring room, and also the dining room. We ended up sitting in a large empty room with nobody else in it as we didn’t know where else to sit.

The pool are was mildly disappointing - only one bed available and I had to hunt around for towels, and there was nobody around to ask. With the amount of people staying at the hotel it would seem to make more sense to have more beds? My partner was having a massage, but not sure where we were both going to sit if they’d joined me at the pool, so we ended up going back to our room.
I specifically booked your hotel because you offered spa facilities, but the lack of beds did disappoint me.

However the hotel itself was stunning, along with the grounds and of course the history. We were unaware of the ghost stories, which we had to research- that would’ve been an interesting fact to have known before our stay.

We would’ve eaten in the dining room but found the menu to be limited and mildly disappointing for choice - it seemed a lot of the food listed I could’ve found in one of the pubs locally. I would’ve expected food to represent the location and standard of hotel?

The reception staff pointed out we could’ve asked the kitchen to specially prepare something, but sometimes you don’t want to have to go to that trouble.

Beautiful grounds, historic buildings and a well appointed and equipped spa helped us enjoy a luxurious and relaxing mini break. The full vegetarian breakfast was delicious and really well cooked - a nice bonus to have this included for a minimal extra charge. Tracy at breakfast and Gino in the evening were stand out members of staff but everyone we encountered was as helpful and friendly. Beth & Damon on reception gave us a warm welcome.

Magical getaway

From parking to being greeted at reception to being taken to our room we couldn’t have felt more welcome. We had room service for lunch and dinner in the main restaurant and the vegetarian and vegan options on both menus were superb. The spa was amazing and the family rooms with two floors were just perfect. The grounds in the Autumn time were stunning. I imagine a stay here at any time of year would be just as magical. Thank you for making our stay so special

A peaceful, luxurious stay to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. The staff looked after us so well and the food was delicious. The location is perfect for exploring Stratford Upon Avon, the Cotswolds and plenty of National Trusts in the area. The room was so comfy and the grounds are stunning

We had a wonderful two days here using it as a base for sightseeing in Stratford and Warwick. We stayed in the Victorian Garden Suite which is worth the extra cost with fabulous views of the gardens and grounds. Service was first class. We had breakfast and evening meals both days. Food was good, some of it outstanding.

The reception area was awkwardly placed and cramped. As we’re checking in, the woman in front of us is having issues with her credit card and I felt like we’re all just standing there witnessing it because there’s little room to separate us. Additionally, servers with food are crossing back and forth through the area which I thought a touch odd.
The Family room was very spacious. I loved the upstairs downstairs separation for the kids and parents, but the stairs and floor were very creaky and would wake everybody up anytime somebody had to use the bathroom. Overall, I think this was a lovely spot to stay at and would include in my itinerary in the future.

My wife and I recently stayed at Ettington Park Hotel, using it as a base to explore the Cotswolds, and had a wonderful experience.

Dining in the hotel’s restaurant was a highlight. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional, with reasonable prices. The restaurant could benefit from better air circulation, as it was quite warm during our meal.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. When we expressed interest in the building's history, they offered us a private tour and provided detailed information about the property, which added a personal touch to our stay.

The cocktails were outstanding—the best we’ve had at any hotel. The pool area was also enjoyable, with a hot tub and hot rooms that we had mostly to ourselves. However, guests should note that there are two small flights of stairs to access the pool.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had beautiful views of the countryside. While the decor was a bit sparse for a superior room, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The air conditioning struggled a bit on a warm day, and the room could get stuffy due to limited window opening and no fan.

Overall, Ettington Park Hotel offers a charming stay with excellent service, though a few minor improvements could make it even better. We would highly recommend it to others.

The hotel and grounds are stunning. Spa (pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna) are really nice and well maintained. Super dog friendly (a few rooms).
What really sets this hotel apart are the staff. Everyone we met from check in to check out were really friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. This includes all restaurant staff.

Room rate did not match the quality of room, so we upgraded. Guess the rate was in driven by the building.

This is my Happy Place! The staff are always so friendly and helpful it's like home from home. We have stayed in room 33, 34 and now 50.

architecture , magnificent building set in multiple acres of outstanding manicured landscaped gardens overlooking the rolling countryside. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend the spa. Tia was amazing. A good massage cures all stress! Our sincere thanks to Jay, Mertom, ( makes the amazing cocktails - highly recommend painkillers!) Tia, Angela, Cora, Alex, Damon, Iris, Tracy, Sam, Rory, Georgina and Ellie. ( Ellie , the specials strawberries were amazing ) You all work so incredibly hard and never complain. I do hope the management appreciates you all. We can see that sadly the owners are cutting corners and you have to multitask, I hope they are paying you more !! Hoping to see you all again soon!

Best hotel in UK! Highly recommended

We just stayed at Ettington Park Hotel for 4 days and extremely happy with it. It was such a pleasant experience. The hotel is beautiful, the views are gorgeous, the staff is super friendly, the food is delicious, and not to mention that the waiter (Pedro) is so professional and exceptional. Ettington Park Hotel - TOTALLY AMAZING

As usual an amazing stay at the Ettington. This is our second mini break here and we will definitely be returning again. It’s like visiting an old friend. All the staff are amazing and do friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Amazing rooms looking out over the magnificent grounds . Beautiful architecture throughout the amazing building with outstanding feature pieces. It’s lovely to be able to relax in our room and have a delicious breakfast brought to you. Angela and Becky were amazing catering to our every requirement. Tracey helped make the amazing bees knees cocktails which I highly recommend and we were able to relax in the lounge after a long day sightseeing around the various quaint villages and shops. Georgia and Patricia in reception were extremely helpful and professional. The Consierge Flat was always so pleasant even when working late into the night , he always had time to chat and had was extremely friendly. Jai in the breakfast room always had a great sense of humour. A stay at the Ettington isn’t complete until you have used their spotlessly clean swimming pool and used the spa. Tasha the beauty therapist is so professional and I can highly recommend the facial and massage. The best I’ve had. I cannot fault the hotel and their facilities. The staff are all totally amazing and so friendly. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough. We will be returning again soon for our third stay.

Warm welcome

Friendly and professional staff gave us such a warm welcome. Our room in the New Wing was spacious with extremely comfortable bed and high quality bed linen. The swimming pool was a highlight especially as we had it almost to ourselves. The hotel building is stunning and the grounds extensive. With its Victorian Gothic style, it's not hard to believe the stories of ghosts at the property.

Rooms were lovely too and upgraded to a modern standard with air conditioning.
Only downside was that the table service was not up to a restaurant standard. They looked understaffed and struggling to cope. Food was good but access to it was a challenge.
Waited 30 mins to be served for an afternoon tea and finally gave up and left as they hadn’t even managed to take a drinks order from us.
Shame otherwise what would have been a fantastic stay.

The building and surroundings was amazing, let down by the room condition, and hygiene

There was dust everywhere, not just onntop of picture frames, mirrors etc, but on glass shelfs where tea making facilities are.

No extra pillows and the ones we was given are awful, couldnt sleep.

When i woke up and made my wife a cup of tea, she threw up , baring in mind shes 11 weeks pregnant !!!!!!! We foumd the milk provided was out of date by 3 days !! Absolutely livid !

The hotel and service is very good, but the food was disappointing. The dinner desert menu was very uninspired and the melon and mint desert tasted like Just like night nurse. Horrid!

First stay since Covid-19 outbreak

This was our 3rd visit to Ettington and the 1st visit since hotels reopened following the Covid-19 outbreak and we were not disappointed. The hotel only had 7 rooms occupied during our stay and so evening dinner lacked a bit of atmosphere, purely because of the low number of guests (maybe turning the background music up a notch might have helped here). The hotel obviously has to operate to social distancing regulations and did so in a very professional, friendly and accomodating way. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived and a fond farewell when we left and everything in between couldn't have been better. The food was excellent, the service was 1st class as always, thanks to Christina and Jordan who couldn't do enough for us. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Mediocre experience. We went for a birthday celebration.Phoned to make a booking for the restaurant. The person from the hotel chain said they would get someone to phone back. That never happened. When we arrived at the hotel the restaurant was fully booked. We ended up having to eat in the bar. The food was poor and extremely over priced.The birthday celebration was ruined. Wont be going back.

We loved the character of the building, the grounds and the cleanliness.The staff too were friendly and helpful.
However, since returning we have noticed a decline in the service at breakfast.
Toast was brought to the table once seated but sadly by the time breakfast arrived the toast was cold. Maybe a rolling toaster would be better for guests so they could also toast the other bread varieties on offer at the buffet.
The buffet did not include hot milk or a choice of milk alternatives other than soya.

Historic and Lovely

We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay at Ettington Park. Would definitely return!

Our room (Shirley Suite) was enormous, very comfortable and overlooked the gardens and river to front of the property.
Lots of lovey touches on arrival.
Although clearly a building with centuries of history, modern comforts were not lacking.

We dined in the Oak Room on Thursday evening and would recommend you do so without hesitation.

Staff were friendly and attentive at all times.
A special mention for Charlotte on reception who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

Thanks to everyone that helped make our wedding anniversary extra special!

Lovely rooms, setting and staff.

Our fourth stay (one was many years ago) and this time we had the Shirley suite which was delightful. A generous size, with plenty of seating, overlooking the lovely grounds, comfortable bed, interesting bathroom with a slipper bath and a large walk in shower. Personally, we would have preferred a conventional bath for practical reasons but it was ok. Room cleanliness was good and staff are always helpful and very pleasant.
There do seem to be some problems in the dining room in terms of insufficient staff at breakfast, shown in unlaid / half laid tables and long waits for service, including one day when requests were just forgotten! We did not have dinner as we do not find the current menu very appealing: too pretentious and too much of an attempt to offer “fine dining” without a good mix of ingredients.

The property was indeed majestic but the level of cleanliness within the overall hotel was disappointing. Carpets remained unhoovered and dirty all week and for a 5* hotel was not expected.
