Parking is NOT included and 1/2 of it is taken up by construction. Carpet feels extremely grimy. No bathtub in the suite (needed for small child bathing).

My experience was kind of bad the smell was horrendous the interior of the building was poorly maintained and the equipment kept on breaking down like the AC and the toilet clogging. Have they charge additional fees from when you book outside their hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The lobby staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was hearty and included scrambled eggs and fried potatoes that tasted better than other hotel breakfasts. The breakfast staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The grounds were well kept and landscaped, and the hotel's location was quiet and not busy despite being very near two freeways.

The property was ok and the front desk personnel tried to be helpful. However getting our rooms serviced was difficult. We had to repeatedly call and text the front desk to get clean towels and soaps/shampoo which was empty when we arrived. It was finally resolved on the second day after dinner. I believe the front desk actually serviced the rooms and not the housekeeping staff.

Seems they’re under construction or remodeling some areas.
Charge a $150 deposit so if you’re in a low budget can be a con.. but they refund maximum 3-5days.
we don’t have the time to used or see the pool.

Like: the location was good for us as there was nothing we did during our stay that was more than 20 minutes away. Staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good and stayed open for a good amount of time.

Dislike: limited parking, parking on the property has a cost tied to it and there’s no guarantee that you will have a spot upon returning for the day/night.

Honestly one of the better experiences I’ve ever had with the whole fam bam going on a shorter vacation. Place was clean, staff was awesome and the breakfast was solid asf! Easy stay with no inconveniences to speak of- as a family of four we loved it. Also-the hotel is near just about all the main family friendly beaches and experiences! Couldn’t go wrong.

Overall this is a good and affordable hotel. When I travel I like staying at Best Westerns and this is one I would return too as well. The breakfast was good except the eggs were powdered but other than that everything else was good. I loved the waffle machine. The room was clean and bathroom well stocked. The body wash and shampoo were very nice plus the water was soft. So there was no problem rinsing off. The parking was good too. No trouble finding a spot. It was close to SeaWorld and Old Town San Diego. Overall a thumbs up.

The property is in a great location, close to the beach, SeaWorld, food and I’m sure other things. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The room was a bit warn as the sliding door latch was broken, bathroom door handle was finicky and the room smelled musty. They were remodeling a section of rooms next to ours, so maybe our will be in the next group

Check in 4pm, check out at 11am, want room 24 hrs. Not this one. Try to pre-check in. Lady was rude and act pissed out, I ask use restroom, she told us no. I paid with hotels.com, but extra $150.00 & if I goes back card. 7/10 business days. That is a joke. & parking is $26.00 a day. No cameras why charges parking. I order a king w/couch. I didn’t get that. We got a buck bed. Couldn’t sit on it because we both over 100 pounds. Breakfast is a joke. We with @ 645am. Only coffee, waffles, cereal or muffins. Eggs & meats & potatoes not ready. Breakfast 6/9am. Outside pool nice size very cold. Spa only for 6 ppl. There was a line to get in & bath water. Not hot. & room next a fwy, windows need be replaced w/so hear fwy all night. & shower floods the whole bathroom floor &out the bathroom. Refrigerator was smaller than a apartment building. Microwave doesn’t even work. The only good thing that they have was there’s two TVs in the room. There’s two elevators one’s really nice and one looks like a Hort mess. We tried to take the stairs, but they’re not up to code. I could’ve fallen and sued you guys. I don’t think we’ll stay here again. It was a joke.

I've stayed at other Best Western hotels, and this is the first one where they charged a deposit (refundable within 5 days) and a parking fee. They need to pay attention to the shampoo refills in the rooms. The breakfast was really good, and the staff was very friendly!

Two things I didn't like: 1) The hotel was undergoing renovations and 2) There was a lot of very loud activity in the hall outside my door at all hours with people constantly coming and going, talking or yelling, opening and closing the very heavy room doors, and some very annoying people heavily and repeatedly knocking on someone's door.

I wish the rooms were more soundproof.

The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was lacking. We were on the second floor and it shouldn't of been so low. The breakfast is very nice and lots to choose from! The jacuzzi was nice and clean and perfect for a day after going to SeaWorld. CON: parking is $26 a day and wish we would of used the street parking. Such a ridiculous charge when you're paying to stay there!

Stay was overall good. Hotel is under renovations so parking is super limited and the hallways are super chaotic. Our room was clean and comfortable which is always great. Breakfast was decent, very crowded as the hotel was full but overall not bad. Lots of teens so it was loud all hours of the day and night which I didn’t love. Would stay again though.

Upon checking in, it was quite extensive as it was not made clear upon booking that the property did not accept cash, as we are from out of town it was hard to get money onto a card. The second room of the hotel for the first 2 1/2 days smell like extreme sewage as there was some sort of sewage issue going on. If it weren’t for the nighttime front desk staff, we probably would have not stayed here. It probably will not be staying here again if we decide to vacation in San Diego again.

We’ll start with what we liked: the room had a bunk bed, which the kids loved, and they had their own tv. There were also AC units for both sections of the room. The staff was also super friendly and brought us a hair dryer minutes after we asked for one.
Unfortunately, there was more disappointment than expected. The bunk bed had visible gum stuck on the ladder, and the bathroom was missing supplies. We switched rooms, and the second room was missing a (or any) trash can and a hair dryer. The bathtub curtain looked like it had mold in one corner. The TVs were set to such high contrast that fair skinned characters in shows were practically clear, and you can imagine what everyone else looked like. The fitness room has a treadmill, and elliptical, and a stationary bike, and three medicine balls. It looked like something you’d cobble together with finds from garage sales and OfferUp to prove you intend to work out, eventually. The water cooler in that room tasted like the freshest ocean water money could buy. At breakfast, the menu offered pancakes that were steamed? Microwaved? Who knew with those stale edges. The sausages were somehow overcooked AND undercooked at different points. The cereal choices were basically a variety of sand flavored selections. One elevator looked like a horror movie style trap, and the other had an expired permit proudly displayed. If this is all par for the course that is best western, I will pass every time. There’s more, but character limit.

When I called for a crib morning of check in, they said no problem. However when I checked in they said it’s based on availability, which makes sense but that is NOT what I was told. So no crib the first night. If I had known I would have brought my own. Oh by the way the “crib” is a pack n play.
The floor smelled like weed on my floor, seems they couldn’t figure out who it was.
The room layout of the room is was odd and the pictures are misleading.
One overnight staff person was rude and dismissive when I inquired about the STRONG natural gas odor in the lobby. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, will not stay at any Best Western again.
