Old hotel in need of renovations.
Don
Arrived with a U-Haul truck and found no on-premises parking available for this size vehicle. Parking was not pre-confirmed, but it would help to know only single vehicle spaces were available.
We parked on street near hotel.

I was not satisfied with my stay my beds were on the floor no headboards but you get what u pay for. The hallways and elevator smell sour the breakfast didn’t have many options I left soon as the sun came up and would never book again
Betty
Great stay. Clean room.
Marjorie
Easy access without restrictions

Was just passing through on the way to Daytona Beach, and I’ve never stayed in a best western but the bed was honestly one of the most comfy I’ve stayed in plus the ac was actually blasting!
(Stayed in many different price range hotels) so 2 thumbs up

This place is always clean. It's in a safe place within about 200 yards of a Cracker Barrell that may be the best in the state of Florida!
John
It was an easy check in

This is an outdated hotel! The rooms are big and comfortable. Definitely has a lot of rust, horrible smell in the hallways, and the walls in the room needs to be cleaned and painted over. Breakfast was limited but great! The breakfast guy was amazing and awesome.
Sarah
Room smelled badly of urine!
Mykhaylo

Clean room, good breakfast convenient location

We didn’t eat breakfast during our stay. Our room was clean, The pool was clean, and the grounds were maintained well. Our check in experience was AWESOME Jeilyn was AMAZING!!! Jeilyn handled a mistake that could’ve been problematic with ease and quickness. We didn’t even have to request the WiFi info! We will be staying there again
Mary
The front desk person was not anywhere around when we arrived. We were about to call 911 when she finally showed up. Probably not a good idea to have only one person working after dark. The next morning we realized the coffee pot in the room was not working and had some kind of fungi lookinfg stuff spewing out of the water trough. The room was ok but definitely not worth $135 which we had to pay but we had been on the road for 10 hours and were exhausted.
Walter
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice stay wish there was a better breakfast. Clean room, the pillows are all small which isnt great on the comfy bed. The refrigerator didn’t work, wasn’t cold.
Rebecca

Worst pillows I have slept on in any hotel ever. Beds were loud and uncomfortable. Carpet in the room felt damp and smelled like urine. Breakfast was decent.

Stinky dirty Room
I didn't stay. I checked in. Once I got in the elevator to go up to my room. The elevator was dirty and smelled bad. When I opened the door to my room, it smelled bad. Carpet was stained. Bathroom smelled bad. I went right back down stairs and checked out. I couldn't stay in a room that smells that bad. I want a full refund. And deserve it.
Billy
Room was big, had handicap access room for wife. Very clean, staff was amazing.

Clean, staff was excellent and professional. Area is nice, close to food, groceries, and fuel. Mattress could have been better, however can't complain too much. We slept good.
It was a pleasant stay. Just outside the madness of Jax, but close enough the go there if you have too.

Fire alarm went off for over an hour at 5 am
Fire dept finally showed and it continued for 29-30 mins with no danger to anyone. Horrible inconvenience for a nightshift nurse who just worked a double and needed sleep before another shift.

No housekeeping offered , had to ask for clean towels. Sofa bed frame was broken. Breakfast and cleanliness was not as good as other Best Westerns.
JULIO
Everything very good, crean, tidy.
Susan
Front Desk was amazingly friendly and helpful. Quick and efficient check in process.THANK YOU!
Melissa
They stay was just all around pleasant. And the breakfast was very good
Kathy
Friendly receptionist. Clean room and clean elevator. Great Mexican restaurant nearby!
Krzysztof
Property has a fire alarm that is broken and will wake you up multiple times at night. This problem has been ongoing for a long time - you can see reviews 2 and 4 weeks old that say the same thing. The worst stay of my life. And then we had to fight for a refund.

25th Anniversary Trip!!!
Hubby and I came for our 25th anniversary trip/weekend from Friday to Sunday, and also going to a concert of one of our favorite artists! So we got there Friday evening and the check-in was so fast! I had already booked the weekend 6 months prior, so all I needed was my ID and we were good to go. We got up to our room and it was very clean, had a big king size bed, a mini-fridge, microwave, TV w/remote and whole lot of channels!, fresh towels, awesome little balcony with a table and 2 chairs to sit on. Overall, it was an amazing trip/weekend, and our stay here was definitely worth it! Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking in the Jacksonville area!
Jeffrey
It was just an ok property. The staff friendliness varied. The refrigerator that held the yogurt and things was too hot. Should be 41 degrees or below. Fire alarm went off at 7:30 AM. Why would the alarm folks work on such a thing at that time. Seems stupid. I will not go when better choices are right next door like Holdiay Inn Express.
CARLOS
An OK hotel, a little bit lower quality than average Best Western’s standards I would say.
Ralph
Don’t stay here
Place is old and run down. Bed uncomfortable. Tiny lumpy pillows. Stains on bedding. Towels thread bare. Spartan lobby. Saw rats around. Asked for extra pillow and told they didn’t have any. Rooms strong perfumed to cover up smell. Only stay here as last resort.
Theresa
Our room was not ready at the check in time of 3 pm and wasn't ready until 7:30 pm but it was after a hurricane
Patricia
We evacuated there during hurricane Milton. It was a good choice. Breakfast was good. My only complaint was the first night there rhe fire alarm kept going off. Happened about 10 times. Finally stopped at 3:45 am. Didn't get any sleep. Asked for a discount for that night, but they would not give it to us.
Greg
Clean room, staff were professional.
Doug
Good room
Good room, comfy bed. For price point, room needs repairs and touch up.
David
Beginning around midnight the fire alarm sounded waking us out of a deep sleep. After falling asleep the alarm sounded three more times at different intervals waking us each time. After the last alarm one of my family members was unable to get back to sleep. The hotel was unwilling to work with us even for a partial refund. Very dissatisfied. Morning staff obviously did not spend the night.
shellie
Over all it was a great place just had a smell in room ! Like carpets need to be shampooed! But would recommend to someone else
John
The whole building smelled musty. The staff was wonderful. They were troopers. But the city is not very good. And what they have to work with Is substandard in terms of structure and amenities. The only reason that I would ever stay there again is because the staff were very kind and friendly
ShaQuan
Great
Brittany
Hallway smelled like dog urine and shower had a lot of hair in it
Laura

This was a very nice property. It was clean. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. I would definitely stay in this location again.
judy
Very nice. Some construction going on but was not in the way.
Christopher
The breakfast is absolutely disgusting. Hardly any options and it’s so basic it’s worth skipping. Undercooked sausage and gross eggs. Sink and toilet clogged regularly. Door isn’t on hinges all the way so locking and unlocking is hard. Mini fridge freezes everything that goes into it even on low settings. 2 liter of pop exploded and sounded like a bomb went off.
Kathy
Good location, all the staff was very nice. Good breakfast!

Stay was ok
Was ok, small TV
Kevin
Everything was good but the room had a funny smell.
Sharon
The breakfast was not up to my standards. They served the same thing every morning and it was not good. The last Best Western Plus I stayed at had an excellent breakfast but this one was just a motel breakfast. I was very disappointed.
Jason
Nice and Clean
Very clean and quiet place to stay. It is in a safe area.
Elizabeth
Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. Quiet. Only problem is parking and allowing guest with trailers to park across 4 or 5 parking spaces.
Giovanni

The stay never happened. When I arrived at the hotel around 1000pm, I was told my room wouldn't be ready for 2 more hours. The clerk gave me the option to cancel my reservation and I agreed. However, I was still charged for the stay.
Deanna
Housekeeping did not come, had to ask for it. No soap in shower or sink area. Towels like sandpaper. Had to get TV fixed. Rug filthy. AC sounded like jet taking off. Food at breakfast inedible.
Moraima
Good
Sandra
Seemed short staffed, but those available were very accommodating.
Billie
Clean
Christina
Everything was fine until i crawled into the bed and there was a dead roach in it as well
Kathrin
Would not recommend.
When we first arrived and went to our room, we discovered that someone was still in the room. Fortunately, the existing guests were not in the room, because that could have ended really badly. When we went back to the front desk, they did apologize and put us in a larger room. We were forwarded by the desk clerk that the keys tended to stop working and they recommended that every time we needed to go back to our room we should just stop by the front desk to get the key reactivated. We should have listened to them. That was a long trip back to the front desk late at night.
The entire place could use a deep cleaning and much of the carpet needs replacing. It smells of mold in a lot of places and you can see layers of dirt and grime along the baseboards. Our friends who were staying in another room had bugs in their bed.
The worst was that the elevator went out and one of the stairwells was \"inoperable\". Not sure how a stairwell goes out of order. Being on the 4th floor, it was a long walk down with our luggage. And did I mention all the cigarette butts on the floor in the stairwell on the carpet? The worst was another guest who was reliant on a wheelchair. The fire department was called to get her down; safety violation? They ran out of most food for breakfast by 8:30 AM although the signs clearly state the breakfast is served until 9 AM. When forced to make food tor the woman in a wheelchair, the cook threateningly coughed like she was going to mess with the food.

Room was very old. Fan in bathroom was so noisy you could hardly hear of someone had light on in bathroom. Pull out sofa bed had a 2\" plastic mattress - luckily it was a child sleeping on it. Breakfast was over and cleaned up by 9:00 am, which is early for a Sunday morning. So no Breakfast when we got there at 9:10. Will not stay again.
Terrance
Over all i was please. Neat room and clean
