I found the room clean but requiring renovation. There weren't water in the bottles provided. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is perfect close to many attractions and public transport.

Breakfast was good but outside of that the stay was mediocre. Staff did not seem happy and that showed in the service especially at the front desk. Suggest spend a little more and stay at Novotel where staff was excellent and they provide extras like robe & slippers for inroom comfort.

A five-star service hotel

It was a true pleasure staying at the Mercure this week. What a professional and dedicated team. From reception, to room service, to the restaurant, all provided 5-star service. I would like to highlight the young gentlemen in reception who went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. Also, the food in the bar is not only great, but for it being restaurant quality, it was surprisingly affordable. I would definitely return to this All hotel in my future travels.

The staff were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. It really felt like they cared and wanted us to have the best experience possible. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Hello. Everything was almost perfect except for the fact that we booked our stay with breakfast but apparently they said our name wasnt in the system when we went to the breakfast area. Afterwards when we went to the reception to complain about it they simply told us that it was their mistake and told us to go drink alcoholic drinks.

Wonderful staff who want to make your experience the very best. Go for the breakfast! It is simply the best. Some of the rooms need updating. We stayed here three different times. Lower interior rooms are sub par. The reception staff will try hard to upgrade upon request. Again, the staff is the best asset of this hotel. The location is an easy walk to wherever a tourist wants to be.

Great location, excellent stay.

Room was clean, quiet, well appointed. Hotel is in a great central location to both the new commercial centre and the Nowy Swiat strip leading to Old Town, both easily walkable. Quiet, safe neighbourhood with easy access to groceries/convenience stores, restaurants, transit and easy in/out to the airport. In room safe is large enough to take a laptop. Hotel also offers drinking water machines that also offer sparkling water, so no need to buy bottled water. The breakfast buffet is also worth it.

Definitely not again

The hotel is dated now and could do with a refresh. Staff are cold, borderline rude.

At check in, the male receptionist maybe said six words to me. I understand English would not have been his first language but at least make an effort

The room was small but perfectly reasonable. Could have done with less in it to make it less cluttered.

Soap had a very chemical smell to it

Towel was wafer thin

No usb charging

No water in room

Rock hard bed which sagged to the centre

And the final thing …. One small pillow more like a sofa cushion really.

Highly recommended hotel

A very good location hotel with friendly staff, clean, providing free drinking water.Very modern and big rooms. Next time i will try to avoid the rooms looking to the main road since even with close windows it gets noisy.

Really central clean hotel with all you could need. Lovely big room, large bathroom and waterfall shower. Very happy with our stay. Only small fault is that we could only get two English speaking channels on the TV which were news channels, everything else was Polish. It would have been nice to have a few more channel options just to have on in the background. Wasn’t a major issue for us as were our most of the days! Less than 20 mins from Chopin airport so great for connections

I was extremely disappointed after staying at the Mercure last week. I was awoken at 3am in the morning by a woman next door to me making extremely loud, violent threats. On making the hotel aware & asking if the woman could be removed from the hotel, they told me there was nothing that could be done meaning I had to change rooms to one in which the air con didn't work. I had 3 hours sleep that night. In the morning, I again complained, explaining that I felt unsafe to stay in the hotel for another night if the guest was allowed to stay but was again told there was nothing that could be done, despite having recordings of the woman's aggressive outbursts. I did not stay another night at the hotel & would sadly not stay there again given the experience I had. It is a shame that violent & aggressive hotel guests are valued more than the safety of all of the other guests, particularly during the current crisis in Europe.

I stayed last at the Grand Hotel Warsawa in 1976, and although it is not nearly as formal and classic as it was back in its heyday, it is actually much more fun and practical, all at a reasonable price. I give this hotel high marks and can recommend it without reservation

The room was super-cold. I was staying in February. The heater did not work; the maintenance guy brought an electric heater, which did not help. My family was too tired after a long flight to deal with it, but we moved to a different hotel in the morning (no problems with the heat there). A friend of mine was also staying in the same hotel and complained that her room was cold too.

When inquired about the refund for the unused days, the person at the front desk said that only her boss can make these decisions. The hotel read my messages about the same, but never responded. I plan to file a complaint against them.

Some drawbacks

There were some drawbacks to this hotel. The shower drain did not work, nor was the door to the shower in proper repair, in the first room assigned to me, resulting in a lot of water on the floor in the bathroom on my first morning. They moved me to another room on the same floor where the drain worked properly. The internet was rather weak in both rooms. It was unusually difficult to adjust the room temperature. I had to ask the front desk for instructions to operate the heating. The instructions on the wall device were ambiguous and outright incorrect in some respects. I never did truly manage to operate it effectively. This should not happen. The breakfast was extensive, but I have seen better in even more modest Polish hotels.

Good hotel, friendly staff. Perfect location !!! Very close to the Old town, Filharmony - 15 min. by walk, National Opera 20-25 min., Novy Swiat - central street of the Old town - 8 min. Very near good restaurants, post, supermarkets etc. Close to the bus to Wilanuw palace, Lazenki - just 20 min. by walk. Good breakfast. After the long day - perfect bed !!! I forget about the pain in my beck! Big rooms.
