Expedia accidentally made my reservation for Jan 11-13 instead of Jan 9-11 per flight booking and I had to pay myself. I have so far unsuccessfully sought a refund from Expedia.

The pool T&C’s can be made clearer at the time of check-in that you’re restricted to only 1 free hour per day which makes this the first ever hotel pool across the world that you have to pay as a hotel customer. Also, the pool is overbooked in the evening and they allow customers from outside the hotel too which makes it feel like a communal lido type of experience.
Lastly, rooms should be allocated roughly around the check-in times and send customers’ luggage that is stored in the reception storage in order to avoid the general business and overcrowding that happened during check-in.

All the hotel staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful. The room was always clean, and the breakfast was very diverse.
The only thing that could be improved was the pool — it wasn’t warm enough, just mildly warm, which made it hard to get into on these cold days.

My only suggestion would be to offer a relaxed menu for lunch and dinner. On two evenings, I just wanted a simple salad, sandwich, burger. Unfortunately. I was out in the rain, looking for a simple meal.

I know this property for over 15 years since I was living in Warsaw and it use to be one of the best. Lately especially in the last 2 years standards have gone way down. Rooms are not cleaned properly(have video proofs) at all and seemed not inspected by supervisors , they also start using cheap materials that are used in 2-3 stars hotels such as very cheap toilets paper, toothbrush etc and that’s not the intercontinental standards that I know. it is time to look for alternatives

Great location right in front of the marvelous Palace of Culture & Science and a nice 20min stroll to the Old Town. Be advised dining hall is undergoing renovations and breakfast is being served in the Conference Rooms. Lovely view of the city from the Spa & Gym, which get a bit crowded despite of the need to book a spot (for swimming pool)

I have stayed at the IC hotels worldwide, and this experience was exceptional, as nowhere during the booking, was mentioned that the property was undergoing refurbishment, therefore the lobby was out of action, no bathroom facilities in the lobby and restaurants were available.
As an IHG member, I booked my partners visit via Expedia, and prepaid, with her name Cleary advised on the booking, but at reception, it was a whole drama with access to the 2nd room being refused, as i was not there in person.
This is exactly why i booked via Expedia to avoid this issue, if I had booked via my IHG membership.
Amenities in the room were fairly limited.
Generally IC hotel group has been a relaible home away for home for me worldwide, but this particular property was exceptionally unique, when considering the room rates and limited faciities of the hotel.

I hope it will improve after the refurbishments are completed, but would suggest to advise gusets on your bookings bage that the hotel is undergoing refurbishtment.

This hotel is more for business than families

Cool location and rooms are nice but I’ve never stayed somewhere that you have to book your pool time and you’re limited to an hour, and you pay a fee beyond that. The pool is on the 43rd floor so if you’re afraid of heights you may not use it anyway. We did not as some of our family were nervous with the height. We stayed on the 8th floor and had a great view of the palace and a window that opened which was nice for a breeze. Parking is expensive but we noticed it’s that way everywhere in the big cities in Poland.

The hotel is very well located, within walking distance to most places one would want to see. It is also very close to the railway station and a big mall.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times before and what I most appreciate is the soundproofing. The rooms are really quiet.
However, this time I noticed signs of wear and tear, especially when it came to bathroom sink faucets. I seem to remember having face towels there previously, which were absent this time.
Having said all that, I will definitely stay there during my next visit to Warsaw.

Location ok. Reasonable price. But check-in error.

We were in Warsaw for a football match. We took a taxi to the hotel. We checked in, which seemed fairly normal. Up we went to 33rd floor only to find the card keys didn’t work on room door. We tried both numerous times. Checked the card holder for the number, and recalled she definitely said that room number. It was also written on the card holder. No joy, so all the way back down to reception. I have the other receptionist the card holder and cards. She said they’re new cards so issued two more for the room written on the card holder. Up we went again. 33rd floor. These were ok - in we went. We had walked into someone else’s room! Bed not made. Case on floor. Shoes placed against wardrobe. We were lucky they weren’t in bed. I was so upset, thinking they could do that with our room. Down we went again. From 33rd floor to reception. Told both receptionists what had happened and the one who’d issued the replacement keys asked me for ID, like I’d done something wrong. The one who’d checked me in maybe 8 minutes before was just looking, as though she didn’t recognise me. I was told - “it’s the wrong room”. Well spotted. We were supposed to be on the 32nd floor. We had been told 33 and 33 was written on card but it should’ve been 32. You couldn’t make it up.
The elevators aren’t the best. It seemed two or three out the 6 didn’t work. One definitely didn’t as no lights above doors.
There are places to eat around the hotel but it’s a couple of miles from the old town.

I’ve been all over the world. I always stay at 5 star hotels. This hotel is definitely in the same class as The Plaza in NYC and The Grand Qusissana in Capri Island. The staff was exceptional, our room was spotless. I’ll definitely stay at Intercontinental Warsaw again.

Obnoxious front desk manager

They charged me dry cleaning, but washed laundry items instead, returned damp and musty. I discussed with assistant front desk manager who did nothing about. He did not even offer apoligy or solution. I also expliained that housekeeping laundry delivery person ignored do not disturb sign, only to have happen next day again. I informed this same manager at check out and he cut me off by saying it did not happen. I guess without investigation he decided to call me liar. So rude and unprofessional

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in August. The best location! We were able to walk to and from the Taylor Swift concert which was so easy and fantastic! The buffet breakfast was so delicious. And the rooftop pool is fun! Great super tall hotel with a super helpful staff.
