Great, convenient hotel to the port before cruising the next day...easy walk across busy street, but with well marked crosswalks. Clean riim, and front desk loaned us an adaptor. Fresh breakfast with real eggs, bacon sausage cereals, breads coffee and juices and so much more! Staff are very helpful and welcoming. I woukd stay here again and highly recommend.

The room was exceptionally clean and large there was a tub in the room along with a bidet in double sinks there was plenty of room to spread out in the room with a couch and a table. The front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions around Genoa. Department is very convenient access to the hotel in downtown Genoa by car or walking is very convenient. It's probably a 25 minute walk to the central core but only a 5-minute Drive . I highly recommend this hotel

The front desk staff were both helpful and friendly. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. The hallways and lobby were dark and in need of refreshing. Onsite parking was extremely poor. The garage was both hard to negotiate with a car and difficult to access by foot from the hotel.

Great location from a public transport perspect - 10 minutes to subway . While the facade is not very welcoming once in yoy are presented with a modern hotel . Great staff who were helpful and accomodating . Others have stated that parking is a challenge but we did not have any issues and found a roomy parking spot for our stn wagon.

I did not like the fact that theres no AC inside the room .The room is really hot which is not pleasant. Also we dinning in to their restaurant is terrible experience the food has no seasoning at all and also is very expensive so it’s really not worth the stay . Never again to this place.

Cab ride that was requested from hotel desk to MSC cruise port was overcharged. Cab driver took advantage of us and charged 24 euro for 4 people while a cab ride to airport was 27 euro for 4 people with the same amount of luggage.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, spacious room. Only gripe could be that the hotel bar wasn’t incredibly well staffed some nights when the restaurant was busy, but waiting a little for a drink there would be my only thing to mention in what was otherwise a great stay. Only a 15 minute walk from the main train station, which was super handy for a trip that was centred around exploring the coast via train.

Nice hotel with own parking (16€/24h). 10m after reception, turn right, press btn. Room was clean and very cosy. Good breakfest with fantastic coffe!
5min walk for metro/underground. Big grocery store (coop) is across the street. Overall we are very happy with our choice.

Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Was modern and clean. Parking was a little difficult and challenge to find and location was probably ok for cruise ships but on a very busy and noisy road. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The staff here is wonderful. Everybody from the manager, front desk, dining room staff and housekeeping all were so great. The rooms are a nice size, beds were comfortable and the hotel was incredibly clean. Breakfast was really good as was dinner. The only thing that may be a concern for some travelers is, you have to take the train, which is a walkable distance, for about 4 stops to get to shopping, sight seeing and dining. But we did ok with it. Thank you Holiday Inn Genoa!!

The hotel is not far from the cruise ship dock where we came into Genoa. Although it's not in the centre of town and restaurants, it's right near the Metro and only two stops into the centre, so it only takes 10 minutes to get there. And the Metro is free from 10am - 4pm and 8pm - 10pm.

Arriving late off the GNV from Palermo, the Holiday Inn Genoa is a 5 minute drive from the port, a perfect location. It is 2km from the centre of Genoa, but ideally situated for the docks. Very comfortable room, a secure parking space for the car, a friendly welcome at reception. Ideal. We will stay again.

Property was in excellent shape and one of the nicest Holiday Inns we have ever stayed at.

Our room fronted the main street and sirens went on often until midnight or so. Hotel is a little bit out of the way but a short metro ride takes you into Old Town. Only one stop on the Metro to the railway station but make sure you have a ticket if during the non free hours.

Hotel is very clean and excellent. It is near to the port and walking distance of Dinegro subway station.

There are two local supermarkets in the neighborhood.

Breakfast is very good and restaurant staffs are very friendly.

Parking is at the same floor level of hotel’s third floor access. However, it is tricky to arrive to the parking. It took 45 minutes for us to reach to the parking. The guests should contact the hotel reception how to reach to the parking before arriving to Genoa if you are driving to Genoa.

Who has the brain?

on our first night there was a power outage between 18u and 18:30u. the problem arose when on-site managemwnt was unable to give us any real plan of action should the power not be restored, so we cancelled our plans for the evening and had fast food. the power was restored by 20:30…but we had no way of knowing if it would be or what we would need to do if it wasn't.

the next morning the was a limited power outage in the building (no hall lights and the electronic locks weren't working) and we were given a physical key.

the service in the resturant (during breakfast and dinner) left much to be desired. ther seemed to be a lack of communication between the waitstaff and on our first morning BOTH coffe machines were out of order.

the plave was clean and comfortable, but the staff seemed to lack training and rhe ability to communicate.

We’ve stayed at this facility twice in a week. The first room was perfect, but the 2nd room was kind of not as good as the first one - the layout of the room was odd, the shampoo/body wash in the shower was almost nothing left, the room was only prepared for 1 person (one set of everything) which there were two of us. We checked in around 12:30pm so we actually had to wait around in the lobby for the room to be ready. We patiently waited but the room was not prepared and ready exactly for two of us. It was disappointing the 2nd stay.

Staff is very friendly and this place is close to metro and bus stand. They have good variety of breakfast. You could see the harbour from room window.

Was slightly disappointed with Wash basin tap. Every time I opened, it would spill water on me :D. Its on main road and would be noisy, if you open the window.

Comfortable stay in good sized bedroom

We were staying 5 nights travelling on the trains. The hotel was within walking distance from Genova Principle station. The bedroom was facing the port which added interest to the view. The room was very well insulated for noise both inside and out and you could open the window for fresh air if you wished. We had a good sized room and bed which were comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style and very varied and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and I was contacted during our stay by email to ask if we were enjoying our stay which gave us an opportunity to ask for a map which was promptly given. This was the best map we had of the city. If you have limited time the tourist bus is expensive but you will see the city. If you have more time the local buses are much more reasonable and the city is very walkable to see the sites. We would book again in this hotel. All the Genovese people were extremely friendly and helpful and there was no begging on the streets that we experienced during our stay.

We checked in for a nights stay pre-cruis from Genoa. The reception staff were super friendly and very helpful. As we arrived at about 10am it was far to early to check in and the offered to keep our luggage safe till later for us as we could only checkin at 2pm. On arriving back early the said we could actually check in 2 hrs earlier which was great. The room was fantastic and very clean and spacious. Good size bar fridge and the bed was amazing.... slept like babies. We were on the 6th floor which gives you a stunning view of the port and all the ships coming in and out of the port of Genoa. Will definitely stay here again. Excellent service.

The hotel is not in a great spot. We were driving across Europe and had a car with us. The parking access is poor. There was no-one to help us up with the luggage and there was no provision made to pull up outside to load or unload, whether from a car or taxi. I had to park illegally on the footpath to load when we were leaving. The room was excellent but the air-conditioning didn't work. The staff were excellent.

An absolute godsend!

After having a disastrous experience with a local small hotel, Holiday Inn came to the rescue and saved my trip to Genoa. The staff were amazingly patient and friendly, the hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable and it also smells really really nice!

I booked the room in urgency after my original hotel was unsafe and very uncomfortable. The only room left was a double, I was sharing with my brother and the staff, without prompting at check in told me not to worry and that a twin could be arranged if we didn't mind waiting a few moments. Now how can I complain about that?

The room was lovely and comfortable, the AC worked a treat and the shower was very easy to use.

The restaurant food was fabulous also.

My only \"complaint\" if you can call it that is that the bar didn't open until 7. But honestly if that's the worst part about this hotel then I may as well stop here!

The hotel is right beside a motorway we had problems with the air conditioning being too cold had to ask for it to be turned off so we had to open a window and it was extremely noisy to be expected when it's by a busy intersection and a motorway overpass. Not very comfortable to walk outside after dark as it was in an industrial port area. The staff were average except for the house bar an who was excellent very helpful and even though we didn't drink he gave us a lot of help.

bed bugs in the bed, old food remnants under the bed. Two bedside lights were not functioning; after asking to fix it, one was removed and the other one was still not working. No power outlets next to the bed and to use any others in the room you would first need to disconnect the tv, fridge or a light. Pillows
are dirty and smelly. Overall: a hotel that needs renovation/upgrading asap.
