Average hotel. Cool decor in lounge area but sheets were quite old and poor quality. Breakfast could be improved with fresh fruit. For a quick night before heading to airport it’s fine. The fitness shouldn’t be advertised. The bikes are 100 hrs old and all broken. Aside from a couple of dumbbells the equipment is unsafe and is a liability. Do not choose this hotel for fitness room. Communication was fantastic but I’d rate a 2 star.

Lovely Hotel!!! We had a great stay at Ciel! Loved the hotel location and our room had amazing view to the church! Very close to all restaurants, and shopping! Perfect place woth decent price! Great location to explore Genova. Nice roof terrace with some shade for relaxing or reading. Walking distance to everything.

There are stairs & the shower is raised up off the floor and VERY small - so the hotel is not suitable for seniors or anyone with reduced mobility.

The aircon works well & the breakfast is ok. The lady who runs the breakfast is very cross & unfriendly - the only downside of our stay - she was banging plates & doors & giving people dirty looks when we were breakfasting.

Apart from that one small thing the hotel is basic but good & everyone else is very friendly.

Room is very nice, but location is very inconvenient. There is no way to contact the hotel from the downstairs area, as hotel is on the 3rd floor. The elevator to the hotel is on the back of the entrance, down a long hallway. Only after registration, we did get a code for the building entrance.

The staff of this hotel is excellent. It’s in area that is easily walkable to waterfront and a few tourists attractions. The room is small but nice. windows open on to the street which was busy into the evening but very quiet in the morning. Hotel is on the 3 rd and 4th floor so windows can remain open for fresh air. Would return again.

Super easy walk from Stazione Piazza Principe. Hotel is on the 4th floor so use the elevator if you've got lots of luggage. Out the front door and off you go to amazing historical sites. Everything is within walking distance.

I loved the location Via Carioli as I am familiar with this area. My room was very comfortable and clean. It had everything I needed and I slept very well and all amenities were made my stay perfect. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as I loved exploring the cafes and trying out coffee and pastries. I was able to safely come back late at night as I felt very safe in Via Carioli. The staff were helpful and assisted me in a friendly and professional manner. I would happily return. Great value accommodation.

This property is in a fabulous location in Genoa. Extremely close to Via Garibaldi and its gorgeous architectural buildings and history. The Owner was very helpful and friendly at check in and always had a smile and greeting at other times. The room is simple, not fancy but very clean and comfortable. Having a small stocked kitchen is an added bonus! Shops and restaurants within walking distance plus a small supermarket. I've booked a return visit!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel - the room was large and the terrace was great. Fantastic location for exploring the city! Unfortunately the lift was difficult with our luggage and pram - it was rather small with doors that opened inwards. That was our only problem!

It was a very clean room and neat as a pin.
The outdoor solarium was a great place for a quiet cup of coffee in the afternoon.

Would have liked a view out to Via Cairoli, but window was blocked with a closet that made the room seem smaller and darker without being necessary for the average traveler. Breakfast was very good as for 3* Italian hotel with meats, fresh fruit, etc. The drawback is that the hotel is located on the 3rd floor in old house with a tiny elevator (max 2 persons and a suitcase) that operates quite unpredictably, The rooms are located on the fourth floor with stair access only. However the location is very central and convenient.

From the pictures and previous reviews, we were expecting something a lot better. The room wasn't horrible, but the bathroom was dirty, there is no parking, tiny elevator or climb 5 flights of stairs. It was an experience but not a good one. The breakfast was nice and the staff was ok. Location was good for walking around.

This hotel offered what I was looking for: a moderately priced but clean and comfortable room, convenient for the city centre. The staff were helpful, the room spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable. There was a modest but adequate continental breakfast if required; you orderit the night before.
Reception operates till 1:00 am; if you will be out later, you can ask for a key.
The hotel is pleasantly decorated according to a theme of 20th-century artists.

Genoa City Centre Hotel, good value for money BUT!

Eventually found reception on the 3rd floor, no indicators and quite distressing to find, then back onto the streets of Genoa city centre at rush hour to find the disjointed parking setup (some guys backyard garage who we think slept in our car overnight, the seats were set right back and the radio retuned). Good value for money though.

First of all it must be said that the staff was extremely friendly and available for all that we needed. The location was ideal right in the center of Genoa. The beds were not very comfortable (a bit hard) and the wireless internet was spotty.

Central location for touring Genova

Location is great, in centro storico. Strada Nuova, train station, public transport, markets, restaurants, bars all less than 10 minutes walking distance, a few minjutes more to the port. More central than the hotel cluster near the train station. Small hotel in a repurposed building. Cheerful art-y paint makes a pleasant spot. Rooms are basic but functional. WIFi didn't reach our room, had to go to the hotel lounge. Our room had noisy plumbing. Don't know about other rooms.

Nice, but some maintance issues.

We stayed here one night on a very hot day in August. We arrived HOT and tired. While the place was clean and pleasant, our room's air conditioning barely pumped out sort of cool air. The desk clerk tried to help us get colder, but she could not make it any better. We were given a fan, which made the room tollerable through the night. Our TV was not working as well.
Other than these issues, it was clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. It contains interesting art. Breakfast was fine as well.

A good basic hotel in an excellent position in Genoa. Easy access to hotel in a small lift. Smaller than appears in photos - very colourful decoratively.
Toilet area cramped and shower area in need of improvement, but otherwise room spacious and shower a lot better than most. Bed very comfortable. Excellent coffee and breakfast, although only topped up periodically, Overall a good hotel and it is what it says, a 3 star hotel

Great hotel for exploring Genoa

This is a great hotel located in the centre of the Historic centre in Genoa, close to all the major attractions. We chose to get the bus from the airport and the hotels website gave clear directions, including bus numbers etc - the total distance to walk from airport to hotel is no more than 200m (probably less than it would be to collect a hire car at the airport)

Our room was clean and well presented, as well as quiet. The hotels website contained descriptions of its facilities and these were accurate. Staff were very helpful and provided clear guidance on local tourist attractions and restaurants etc. However, check the menu and prices, as paying top price does not always give the best food or experience.

Without doubt we will return to this hotel in the future and recommend it without reservation

Surpresa agradável para um hotel do tipo!

Muito bacana, com vários espaços para descanso nas arras comuns, esse “hotel” ocupa dois andares de um predio na Via Garibaldi, uma das mais belas ruas de Genova e absolutamente central! Quarto apertadinho mas com espaço suficiente para malas e roupas, apenas o box pequeno para pessoas mais altas ou largas, mas todo novo, limpo, charmosinho, bom café da manhã, tudo bom! Se voltar a Genova ficarei aqui, sim, porque oferece uma boa relação custo benefício, nem barato nem caro.

Da unsere Anreise kurz vor Rezeptionsschluss war, hat uns die Rezeption extra noch eine Mail und eine Whatsapp geschrieben, ob wir noch vor Rezeptionsschluss eintreffen würden oder ob sie uns den check-in online erklären sollten. Ebenfalls wurden bereits Angaben zu Parkmöglichkeiten gemacht. Extrem kundenfreundlich!

Enkelt hotell med väldigt små rum. Lång väg från ingång på gatan till själva hotellet som verkar ligga i ett vanligt hyreshus. Små rum utan vanligt fönster, mer som en liten glugg. Väldigt liten säng. Gym är undermåligt med trasiga cyklar och löpband som inte fungerar. Gym används mest som bagagerum. Bra frukost väger upp det hela.

Hotel muito bem localizado, na parte antiga de Gênova e a uns 800 mt da Estação de trem. Carrefour ao lado.
Bom gosto na decoração, limpo.
Um ponto negativo foi o quarto ser um pouco escuro, mesmo com todas as luzes acesas.
