Without any explanation the hotel decided to shut off all the Air Conditioners in rooms without announcing it. They have a key card system which you need to put in the slot and it was very faulty. The bathroom is really really tiny and the shower amenities all wrapped in a plastic 80s dispenser.

Breakfast was good and the staff did a really good job,

This is a 2 star hotel facility with a great breakfast in a
good location with the price tag of a 4 star hotel.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It is in the Centro Storica, just steps from the Teatro Felice. However, it is located on a little side street off of via Roma, so it is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is clean and modern, and the staff was pleasant, professional and very helpful concerning questions about the city.

Great location!

I really liked this hotel. The location is fantastic and close to everything. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was varied. The shower is small, but the room is a good size compared to many hotels in Europe. They kindly kept my suitcase for me for two days while I traveled to another city.

No AC, although it’s written in Hotels.com page. The last morning we didn’t have hot water to shower.

Nice clean hotel with perfect staff. Unfortunately the window in my room did not latch properly so there was some wind an noise from the outside. I dis not mind very much so I did not ask for another room, but some might hate this.

Best included breakfast we've had so far in a 3 week holiday, really wonderful! Room and location were nice. One real elevator, but that's OK, we are good with stairs. A little tricky to find but good location in Genova. Had a bit of a local meeting as we were coming in. Staff perhaps could have handled the stranglehold/smoking at the door, but otherwise this might be our only complaint.

Great Room-Friendly Staff- not CPAP Friendly

Hotel was very clean, staff friendly, breakfast was great. Only drawback is that there are no outlet on the bed night stands or behind the bed. I like many people have Sleep Apnea and travel with a CPAP machine. I had to run an extenssion cord across the room to the desk to plug in my machine. This is a bit of an inconvenience and major trip hazzard.

Super Spot for a city break

Loved our stay - hotel in a great location , staff helpful and friendly - breakfast varied and ample. We didn't eat in the restaurant on the evening but would have given the time - we were unable to get the air conditioning to work and having to operate the TV to find out prices for mini-bar was a slight nuisance (we don't watch TV on holiday) but otherwise no complaints at all.

All nice and great, close to try center and clean. Room was a bit to small and so sad the gym was closed since that’s why I took the hotel. Understand it’s COVID but needs to be written on booking and not to be found out after. Service great and really nice lunch.

Unfortunately due to the situation with COVID-19 spread all over world, as well as due to the fact that the borders are closed and the flights have been suspended, we could not visit your hotel.
We thought that the border would be opened and we would be able to travel to Genoa, but unfortunately it does not work out.
We still waiting to return us paid money for Best Western Plus City Hotel.

The room was fabulous. Super size and loads of space to relax and unwind in. Cannot fault it for anything except the bathroom. The facilities were again great in there but as a larger person there was simply no way I could fit through the narrow gap in the door to get in the shower. Perhaps a tight squeeze at best but it wasn’t worth the risk of getting stuck. Aside from that flaw it was perfect.

The overall experience was good, cleanliness and lighting in the room was also good. The hotel is making great effort towards helping the environment. What would be better is if the toiletries and vanity products were wrapped in environmentally friendly packaging. Also i dont understand why the hotel does not provide mousturisers? I asked they said they didn't have but no reason for not providing moisturisers to guests. I also do not like the lack of a good view from my first floor room window, the hotel was smack bang in the middle of 2 buildings

If we go back to Genova, we would stay there again

Good hotel in a great location. We liked everything about the hotel, it was clean, the people were extremely helpful and it has an excellent restaurant downstairs. I think it is called PEscolino, we ate there twice, a Michelin star restaurant with down the earth prices. Location was good, the streets were clean and we felt safe.

We spent a few nights last year as we have this year before and after a cruise. Staff on reception and breakfast time couldn't do enough, great to see the same staff still there ,definately will stop again. A small problem arose when our hairdryer stopped working and they didn't have a replacement!! They did allow us 5 minutes in a room that was vacant but occupant was due later that evening.

The lady receptionist on 27th of May early afternoon who met us was wrong but she would not budge. We had paid for Bed and Breakfast but she insisted that we had not and charged us extra for breakfast.
It was very hot in Genova and when we asked if they could turn the air conditioner on they refused saying it could only be done 1st of June. We were asking on the 28th May. Again they would not budge. We asked if we could have a fan? They said no.
We asked for feather pillows for both of us. They only gave us for one person saying there were no others - what in the entire hotel?

The hotel is in a great location. The room was clean and modern but really not practical. Little surface area to put anything. Shower was modern, but not one place to put our shampoo and soap. Really good breakfast. Elevators are tiny. We got stuck in one and it was quite frightening.

Great stay, check in was a breeze as the staff was very friendly and spoke great English. Valet is work the 30 euro as we did not see any parking near by. My stay was on my birthday and the gentleman at breakfast must have over heard my daughter say happy birthday to me and they supprised me with a small cake. All and all just a pleasant place, and very close to a lot of great things to do in Genoa.

It was amazing from the moment we arrived to the last minute we were at the hotel all staff were super kind and we felt pampered. I had the best experience and I am glad we chose this hotel location was perfect tge hotel was so clean. I reconmend to all families. I give 20 on the score of 10 that’s how great it was.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Our stay here was spoiled because of their air con policy, which is not to turn it on until June! It was 32 degrees in Genoa when we were there and being on the 6th floor it meant the room was unbearably hot at night.

good place, but almost a capsule hotel

It's easy to reach old city from the hotel - just a few minutes walk. But my room was very small with a window opened to somebodies else roof balcony.
This type of hotels more suited for transport hubs to stay for a night than for a prolonged stay while exploring the city.

Great location close to Strada Nuova on a quiet pedestrian street near the smart designer stores and Settembre XX high street. About 15 min walk to Principe station and 20 to Brignole. Great breakfast buffet. Fantastic bonus is small spa in the hotel basement with steam room, sauna and chill-out area which is free to use for guests. Very relaxing after a day seeing the sights.

Great location to walk down to the hustle of Genoa markets and shops and restaurants around 10-15 min walk..Stop of at the beautiful church and quant side streets with cafes and bars.. The hotel was quiet enough to sleep well in.
Good breakfast very friendly staff..
The rooms are basic nothing great but clean and has aircon...I would recommend this hotel again as on location and great staff.

Fantastic Hotel, Prefect Location

With only two days to spend on Genova, we decided to stay at this hotel - Best Western is not a usual choice for us. What a treat! King sized bed that was comfortable, air conditioning that we could program, nice bathroom, good WiFi...we never wanted to leave our room! When wet did leave, we were within walking distance of everything, and only steps from the beautiful Piazza Ferrari, where we would both start and end our days. Lastly, upon welcoming us, Grace gave us fantastic dinner recommendations and highlights of the town. Would absolutely reccommend a stay here.

Saved our Genoa vacation

We were originally booked at the Bristol Palace but were immensely disappointed with the hotel and service so we switched hotels.

The Best Western offered nicer service, cleaner hotels and rooms, better location, functioning wifi and an overall more pleasant stay. It might be less charming than other options as it is a typical modern hotel, but its nice to find a place where everything works and is well put together.

Definitely a recommended option for Genoa.
