We had a wonderful time here. The pool area was divine, the roof terrace and sauna was great, the views of the mountains and sea were amazing. The staff here were all so friendly and kind, and it was a great atmosphere. We're already planning our next stay for 2027!

Great stay but about a 7Eur taxi to yumbo or a 20-30 minute walk, during pride that option is taxi for sure. Could be a bit more sound proof for early mornings. But the neighbourhood is quiet after 11pm. Staff was amazing! Would recommend!

It’s a 7 euro ride to the Jumbo but friends who were in accommodation nearer the Jumbo paid far more for inferior places

The complex is very nice, however I experienced poor communication both before and during my stay. Rarely anyone available at reception during the advertised hours and when communicating with reception staff I was either made to feel like I was a problem or I was ignored.

The best GC Gay resort

Vista Bonita is a rare find; its relaxed and friendly yet clean, neat and tidy. What really makes it are the staff. Have been a few times now and Ayoz (with his wonderful colleagues Edvaido and Deigo). greets me like a long lost friend and makes me a wonderful coffee (or 3) each morning.

I will be back and if you want a relaxed gay base from which to explore the delights of Maspolomas I suggest you visit too

We are a hetro- flexible couple and we were allowed to stay at a Gay and Lesbian resort. For this we are grateful. It was not crowded so we did not disturb or upset any of the men of consequence Over all it was very clean and tidy with excellent facilities and right beside both shopping and a wonderful lifestyle resort which we also visited often. My only complaint would have to be that it did not appear that they washed the stone floors in our suite that often . Because of this our bath mat had my footprints on it which embarrassed me more than anything as it left brown spots…

Gem of a resort

Another visit to Vista Bonita and it’s still as excellent as ever. Relaxing environment, great facilities and fantastic staff. All the staff are such a fab friendly and welcoming team. David and Eduardo at the bar are a fabulous double act making great drinks and bar food for us. The cleaning team are so efficient - we recognised them from last year. They take such pride in their work.

We love the small sized resort as it means it is rarely crowded. Guests are of all all ages and geographies and never judgemental. This is genuinely a place to be your true self and just soak up the beautiful weather.

We shall return next year 😊

Being one of the few women at this property during my stay, I was first a little taken back that I wouldn't be accepted. First, I would like to say from the moment I stepped into the reception area, the young, pleasant man immediately knew who to expect I(hardly a surprise as I was the only woman checking in that day). HOWEVER, he and staff were highly engaging and pleasant throughout the entire stay. As an \"older\" (59...is apparently old these days) who speaks no Spanish, I had trepidations about my decision for this trip. The entire staff at this complex made me feel right at home and welcome. Thank You Guys!!

A lovely stay in this friendly lesbigay resort. The duplexes are nice - recently renovated kitchens and bathroom upgrades. You can be as friendly or private as you prefer here. There's a nice small bar (variable opening hours) and friendly bar staff. The thing that lets this resort down is the cold/half-full jacuzzi/(not)hot-tub. It didn't really work the whole trip. Can't understand why they can't upgrade it - since they advertise as having 'spa' facilities. The small sauna could also do with an upgrade.

A lovely resort in the sun!

A lovely resort. My townhouse was lovely - very spacious with a downstairs cloakroom as well as an upstairs bathroom with walk-in shower. The bed was large and very comfortable. The kitchen was very modern and the resort provide some nice touches such as bottles of wine, cava and water plus tea and coffee making facilities with pods/tea bags etc. You also get a pass for a local bus service to the beach!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and I found the other guests to be friendly and considerate. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at Vista Bonita!

TV had one English channel and not a good one, wifi did not work inthe bedroom, light in sauna blown fir the week, patio door difficult to shut, hot water did not last quite long enough. Staff responsive and very nice. The location is a bit out of way.

The guys working at Vista Bonita really made our stay special. Despite being an old resort, the bungalows have been decorated to a high standard. The pool and hot tub are really clean, and the location is really peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was well worth having as the quality and variety are surprisingly good for a such a small resort. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Not far from the Yumbo centre (about 5 euro taxi) and delightfully quiet with good facilities and ability to self cater if you fancy.
Clothed or unclothed, this place caters for all. There is a sauna, jacuzzi, pool and bar area.
They do a Friday night BBQ, which is a great way of meeting existing or new guests. They have a breakfast option which you can opt into and later in the day they also have other options or, if you want, you can visit the local Spar and grab a few ingredients.
There are local restaurants including a Spanish restaurant, a Grill bar and a Chinese (only a few minutes walk away) but remember you are only a taxi ride away to other culinary delights.
All the staff are fantastic and will always assist where possible.

A wonderful experience!

A wonderful gay resort in Maspalomas. The atmosphere is intimate, as there are only 25 bungalows. You get to know your neighbours and make new friends. The bungalows are comfortable and functional. The kitchen provides full appliances and utencils for cooking. The supermarket on the property helps a lot if you want to cook your own food. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is on the smaller size, but there is an extra toilet on the ground floor, which is a great comfort.
The swimming pool and the chaise longs very wonderful and comfortable. The pool bar provided good snacks and cocktails.
I did not enjoy the breakfast, as it was bare to the bones basic.
The staff were wonderful and helpful. Check in/check out process was a breeze.
There is a big restaurant next to the property, which is very convenient.
It is a bit further away from the center and the nightlife, so you need taxi or bus, but compared to price and comfort, taxi/bus money pays off.
A big thank you to Pedro, Kiri and Raul for making our stay at Vista Bonita a great experience!

We have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world and I can honestly say that we could not fault Vista Bonita in anyway. The apartment was a perfect size with everything you need. The bed was comfy. The best part was the staff who were amazing, they could not do enough for you and were so friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Jorge on reception was brilliant and sorted out anything we needed. The staff at the pool bar were amazing too. There were a mix of ages staying there and everyone was so polite, not a yob in sight. We would definitely go back again!

The hotel is dated and it shows. Few things didnt work - not hot water on the first day. Aircon unit didn't work. Hottub was also oit ofservice as was the sauna.

Bar staff are fantastic. Reception didn't ask how my stay was, - maybe they knew?!
I moved over to Seven hotel. Amazing in comparison - go there instead

Lost it's sparkle from previous years...

This place has lost it's sparkle. No apology for the mouse droppings in my duplex! Quite a few cockroaches too in the kitchen area of the duplex. Although the reception guy did come investigate the potential mouse the minute I mentioned it. Normally I wouldn't leave such a critical review in the public domain, but the management haven't (two weeks later) responded to e-mails. Previous visits the bar area has been lovely and social. This trip the bar was dead pretty much the whole time. The sauna is falling apart - broken light, broken benches (but it was at least nice and hot). The hot tub is never actually hot. Previously guests have brought pool inflatables to share and have fun. This trip mysteriously they disappeared. Management had spurious excuses and blamed it on a guest stealing the inflatable.

Overall, the experience was very pleasant.

What I liked: The heated pool, the sun all-day long, the bar, the sauna, the people, the breakfast, the Sunday evening BBQ.

What needs improvement: the temperature of the hot tub was not hot enough. In the room, the lighting was way too cold (cold white), the availability of hot water in the shower was variable and there were no day curtains on the 1st floor door window.

Vista Bonita is a great place to stay. It's well laid out, the apartments are great, lots of space and the pool is the perfect temperature.

There is a shop locates round the corner, great for fresh breakfast and booze.

Clothing is optional, which is perfect for sunbathing. The environment is relaxing and you get to meet other LGBT people ranging from 21 to 60 years old.

Really nice, clean, property. Most guests were gay couples or singles from around the world (who chose to be naked at some point). Almost all male (one lesbian couple as well). Great breakfasts each morning and relaxing during the day pool side. Good supermarket and phenomenal restaurant just adjoining/in front of the property with affordable meals (recommend trying the gazpacho and garlic aoili which are to die for). Perfect for anyone wanting to experience Maspalomas but mainly wanting just to relax. Our unit layout was living room, breakfast bar and toilet on ground floor, with good size master bed, full bath and patio upstairs. Pool size bar closes around 7pm so quiet in the evening. Friendly bilingual staff. Free bus to Maspalomas beach and cheap taxis meant we did not need a car.

Don't waste your money

If the Vista Bonita was half the price we paid, it would still be far too expensive. The service particularly from the manager was appalling. Very much a 'don't care' attitude. Room half cleaned irregularly. No hot water most days. Communal jacuzzi absolutely filthy. The only upside to this place, was that we met some fantastic people i.e the other guests and the 2 barmen. Absolutely never again.

quiet oasis in Gran Canaria

We've been coming to this resort for several years now as it has everything we need. It's a small friendly complex with 22 apartments based round the pool and garden area. 20 minutes walk down to Maspalomas or Meloneras with lovely restaurants and shopping overlooking the sea or a 5 minute taxi ride (5 euros) to Playa del Ingles and the Yumbo Centre with its vast array of bars and restaurants for a more lively evening! Great to find that the pool is now heated which is a plus!

All the staff are very welcoming and it was lovely to meet familiar faces like Francesco who is making a great job of running the poolside bar / cafe and also director Melanie. New managers Monica and Jorge were very helpful with all our requests and the team cleaning the rooms are also a greta bunch.

The complex is probably the right size so that you can keep yourself to yourself if you are after peace and quiet but a friendly place for people who may be travelling on the own.

Apartments are equipped with everything you need if you want to do your own catering etc. and there is a Spar shop and restaurant attached to the complex so you don't need to go far if you don't wish to.

Great views from the rooftop sun bathing area!

Location was a bit awkward. You need taxis to go to beach or yumbo but I knew that in advance. Lack of decent local places to dine.

Food at resort was limited to pizza, pasta or chips basically. As a coeliac I was left disappointed.

Smashing pre-Christmas stay at Vista Bonita - great team working there who were friendly and attentive and made my visit a joy. I chilled by the pool most days, friendly bar service so I could easily enjoy drinks and snacks and I took advantage of pre-booking breakfast there which was very convenient. My room was quiet as away from the bar and pool - could chill on balcony and terrace if fancied a break from the pool area - but had plenty of room, kitchen, tv, outside area and loos up and downstairs. Quiet in evening but lots of people around during the day. Usually took a quick taxi into Maspalomas in the evening as not a lot in the immediate area - few budget restaurants but a great Spar (which has everything) right next door. Would highly recommend for couples, friends or solo travellers to enjoy the sunshine and get away from it all.

A great experience

My husband and I have been at Vista Bonita for one week. This was our first time in Gran Canaria and our first time staying at a gay only resort. We are very happy to have chosen this place and we are definitely going back soon!

All the staff is very attentive, charming and smiling all the time. We really felt very well looked after and pampered by the whole team: Victor, Victor, Melanie and... a special mention for Francesco, who is an adorable guy and he is capable of becoming your best friend after 5 minutes of chat! :-)
We were very lucky to have found a very good mix of people who were sharing the premises with us. Almost all of them very friendly and chatty, that is exactly what we were looking for.

From the resort, with a 5 euro taxi ride, you can easily reach the Yumbo Center or the beach (you get to the lighthouse and walk along the seaside from there). There is a very handy Spar supermarket just outside the complex together with a restaurant which provides with take away service if you don't feel like going out for dinner.

The structure itself was amazing, the apartments are very spacious and clean. We were in number 7, facing the pool, and we really did not have any problem with any noise coming from outside. The jacuzzi is very nice too. We didn't try the sauna.

Overall we had an amazing experience and we thank the whole team for having made us feel at home and welcomed. As I said, we will definitely be back!

Ultimate relaxation!

Vista Bonita is an absolutely lovely little getaway--secluded and private, it is a beautiful place, with warm, helpful staff and amenities ranging from a steam room to a hot tub and pool. The grounds are maintained with care. The rooms -- which are really more like small town homes -- are comfortable and spacious, overlooking the pool area, with a porch opening onto the interior court. The location is wonderful: easy walking distance to a taxi stand that can take you anywhere you like, but distant enough from the main attractions to afford some peace and quiet. You really feel very special staying here. We came for our 20th anniversary and plan to return again and again!

A gem of a Hotel

Having never been to Gran Canaria before I wanted somewhere to be able to relax far enough from the main nightlife but near enough if I wanted a night out.
Vista Bonita provides this and much more, The resort is peaceful and ideally laid out. The apartments are beautiful set over two floor with a kitchen, lounge area and toilet on the ground floor leading onto your own private terrace with direct access to the pool area which also has a jacuzzi and sauna, there is also a peaceful reading area and library in the tropical gardens. On the 1st floor of the apartment there is a bathroom and bedroom with a private balcony.

All the staff are excellent and the whole resort is spotless. with free wifi with excellent coverage everywhere.
a short taxi ride will take you to the Yumbo centre (€4).

This resort i can highly recommend and I will return in the future.

Very nice clean resort with very helpful and pleasant staff allowing for a enjoyable stay. Room was a good size and everything worked well with no problems. Nice bar area that was good for meeting new people and they do food with a nice breakfast. Pool area and sunbeds all very nice making for a relaxing holiday. Large supermarket and restaurant at the front of the hotel. Just a couple of suggestions would be for the bar to stay open later and a happy hour as these become a focal point where people get to meet and chat. This then leads to more people using the bar after happy hour. Other then that it was a nice stay and would book to go there again,

We had a little trouble on our first night as the air con wasn't working but in the morning the staff sorted it out asap. Couple of guests on our first night were a little rowdy and we found out later in the holiday that management had a word with the. Lovely people, very relaxed, excellent. Would highly recommend!

We were greeted by the receptionist in a very welcoming manner and then shown to our apartment. When we entered we found it to be very clean and very fresh looking.
The apartment was very well equipped with a microwave,toaster,kettle, coffee maker, fridge and a 2 ring hob. There was also a TV in the apartment.
The apartment had a downstairs toilet and and an upstairs bathroom.
We had our own terrace and also an upstairs balcony
During our stay the bedding was changed twice and the towels were changed frequently as required
We were also provided with 2 towels each for lying outside on the plentiful sunbeds by the reasonable sized pool.
There was also a sauna and hot tub for use as well

Relaxing in comfort at Club Vista Bonita

This was my 4th time staying in this establishment and I get to like it more each time. The staff are very friendly and competent and the surroundings are so relaxing. As it is relatively small in size one gets the opportunity to get to know new people quickly. This adds to the friendliness.

Excellent resort off the beaten gay track

All in all, an excellent choice. Perfect for not being in the heart of the gay scene and in a quiet part of town.

Pros: huge apartment, lots of privacy, clean and fresh, beautiful grounds, top bar with excellent service and a high calibre of guest.

Cons: mixed wifi and type of bed (would have preferred a double to two singles).

Highly recommended for a personal experience with a high quality service.

Amazing gem of a complex, quiet, serinte & comfy

It’s slightly outside of the resort which was quite nice as you are away from the hustle and bustle and a taxi to Melonares or the Yumbo centre is only around €5 in a taxi. The taxi rank is at the top of the hill (turn left out of the complex and walk up) it’s about an 8 minute walk.

The complex is super quiet with only 23 apartments so if you are looking for total relaxation then this is the place.

We opted for a deluxe room which was very, the beds are also very comfortable!!
The sun terrace on the roof allows panoramic views of Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas, the Dunes and Faro de Melonares.

The hot tub spa was nice and warm and had powerful jets and could accommodate around 5 people at a time. The sauna was big enough to comfortably for around 6 people and there was a lounge bed around the pool which was lovely to just chill out on and relax.

We had room 12 which was nice as it was opposite the outdoor lounge bed and the hot tub spa. Each duplex had a terrace with a lounger.

We arrived late at night and Melanie (the complex manager) left us instructions with how to obtain our keys, however the barman Paval also assisted us upon our arrival and greeted us with a lovely welcome drink of our choice!

Melanie went out of her way for us, she recommended a local tapas restaurant so we could try tapas where the locals eat as opposed to a restaurant geared towards the tourists.

Second time as great as the first one

Vista Bonita is an amazing place and I would recommend any one to stay here. Pavel, Roman and Waldi were absolutely brilliant, they kindly looked after guests and made a few stunning cocktails for us...especially my favorite Bloody Mary. Bravo! Thank you Barbara and Melanie for keeping Vista Bonita in a very good condition and improving it year by year. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Excellent Break - only too short a visit

The hotel is situated in a quiet area close to some restaurants and a supermarket - all within 5 minutes walk. Further afield (Yumbo or the beach) you would probably prefer a cab drive which wouldn't cost more than €5 per trip.

The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Each Bungalow has it's own private entrance and two balconies (one upstairs and one downstairs). If sitting in the sun is what you're looking for, then pool area is under direct sunlight from about 9am right through to around 7pm (July). Of course, there are parasols, or your balconies, if you prefer to stay out of the sun ~ an even better way to stay out of the sun is to sit by the pool bar. Prices at the pool bar are very reasonable.

Above all, the staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. A big thank you to Melanie, Michal, Pawel and Waldemar for making our too short, one week stay, a memorable and happy one.

We will, and have, recommended Vista Bonita to friends.

A great place to chill!

My partner and I had a much-needed chilled time at Vista Bonita. If you're looking for a gay resort with a relaxed atmosphere then this is it! Based in Sonnenland, it's a 20 minute walk to Faro de Maspalomas and some of the nicer restaurants on the sea front or a 5 minute taxi ride (4-5 euros) to Playa del Ingles and the Yumbo if you need a more lively evening out!

Staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests. Happy to order taxis for you (though thand arranged a lift to the airport for us at a cheaper rate. There is an astroturfed terrace on top of the apartments with sunbeds and great views of the mountains and the dunes.

Our apartment was well equipped with everything you needed, including cooking if that's what you want to do on holiday. Kitchen/lounge/WC/patio area downstairs with bedroom/balcony/bathroom upstairs.

Rooms cleaned on a daily basis. Half the apartments 1-16 overlook the swimming pool while the others have a garden area in front of them. It was never crowded round the pool Cooked breakfast plus buffet items for 8 euros and sandwiches etc available through the day.

Candlelight pool and patios every evening gave a lovely atmosphere. The hot tub was cleaned and refilled daily.

We would definitely recommend Vista Bonita and stay here again. We spent most time by the pool but the location is ideal either for the gay beach and nice meals at Faro or more lively nights at the Yumbo but nice to be able to leave the noise behind afterwards!

Excellent all round

Decided on a last minute break and chose Vista Bonita. Great communication, wonderful welcome and free drink, and loads of really useful information about the island. The staff were all really nice. The duplex apartment was very spacious and comfortable with everything in it to make for a comfortable stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have no hesitation in recommending it.

very good but a few details needed

Superb place and very enjoyable, however even with the excellent service weather and location a few minor details need to be done to raise it to 5 stars. Firstly ensure ashtrays are readily available, people will use them if there but will still smoke if they are not! WiFI is in process of being fixed which is badly needed. I would also make two recommendations to add chairs on ALL balconies and deal with the excessive overnight lights ( time witch?). The improvements made are very good and I would highly recommend. For information: Taxi rank is 200 metres up road to the left on roundabout.

Disasterous arrival

I arrived after a long flight and 50e in a taxi to find the entrance down a dirt track an empty reception and no phone or bell to get attention. I managed to get a waiter from next door to summon a staff member who met me and said \"your not going to be happy\" They had overbooked and had no room for me. They packed me off in a taxi and stuffed 5e in my hands for the fare and said they had been trying to call me all day. (I had no calls or e mails) I got to the new resort and they hadn't even phoned ahead to make sure anyone was there when I arrived. The same thing happened again, empty reception, no staff as all had gone home and no bell or phone. I eventually met the owner etc and they put me in a room lower then the grade I paid for so had to move again the next day. When at Vista Bonita they told me the man who made my booking had been fired. They told me his name too. The next day I met the man in question at the new resort he certainly hadnt been fired and looked more senior then the person who had told me that. The people at the new resort were lovely and couldn't believe how un professional it had all been. Not once did they call me to check if I was ok and when I whatsapped the person from Vista Bonita as he had suggested to tell him of my problems he ignored me. I ended up being glad I got moved.

The apartments are split over 2 floors, meaning they have lots if room. They have both a balcony and private patio that face the pool/garden area.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and the resort is a perfect oasis of calm.

Jacuzzi!!!

Really friendly team. Loved the jacuzzi, lovely and hot. Room was perfect for the 2 of us. Only thing was the pool not heated. It was like a freezer. Perfect to go into after the jacuzzi to get that circulation going. Defo would go again.

Vista Bonita is a top exclusive resort in Maspalomas - Playa del Inglés. It's ideal if you seek a quiet stay and don’t mind taxis (7-8€) to Yumbo at night. I was solo and felt a bit isolated, but the high-quality service and amenities compensated. Arriving late via shuttle, my key bracelet was in the safe as promised. The spacious duplex apartment features a full bathroom upstairs, a toilet downstairs, balcony, well-equipped kitchenette with fridge, induction hobs, microwave, toaster, and filter coffee machine. It has over 10 power sockets, a comfy bed, and spotless cleanliness. Complimentary amenities include two water bottles, white wine, tea facilities, and beach towels. Upgrading to a superior duplex offers champagne and a Lavazza espresso machine. The heated pool is enjoyable, though the jacuzzi is very hot. The rooftop has a chill-out area and sauna—though I didn't use them. The bar opens early and serves a €20 buffet breakfast, plus lunch and drinks, though prices are high. Staff like Eduardo and Ayoze were attentive and helpful, especially Eduardo with taxi calls. During the day, bus 73 connects Faro de Maspalomas, Vista Bonita, El Tablero, San Fernando, and Playa del Inglés. You can reach the gay beach in 35 minutes via bus 73 to Faro and a walk along the shore, the dunes walk is more scenic, but takes about an hour. Public buses from/to the airport cost 4.05€ and stop 900 hiking meters away, but I recommend booking a shuttle for direct drop-off, available from 7€.

Ya nos hemos quedado otras veces y la vdd es que es un sitio estupendo para pasar unos dias de relax, supermercado cerca y restaurante en el propio complejo. Del restaurante destacar al camarero Edu, por su simpatía y por su eficiencia, se nota cuando alguien ademas de simpatia natural quiere trabajar, él va pasea do saludando, preguntando sibquieres algo y de paso recogiendo los casos usados, si sabe que vas a la sauna y esta apagada él ya te ve y va sin decir nada a encenderla. Como trabajador es un 10, cualquier empresa del sector pagaria oro por tener a alguien tan eficiente y encima con una sonrisa siempre.
