The day before my arrival, I received a WhatsApp message asking for payment, along with a separate link—even though I had booked with the option to pay at the hotel. I was then told this wasn’t what they had agreed with Hotels.com, so I had to send them a screenshot of my booking. I would have been happy to pay in advance through Hotels.com if that had been required, but receiving a random payment link by text made me worry about potential scams.

On top of that, the reception closes at 4 p.m. There were several confused couples in the evening who hadn’t received check-in instructions and didn’t know how to get in. It can be frustrating to arrive with no one to greet you and no clear way to check in.

The food at the bar/restaurant is dreadful. It looks like everything is cooked in one pan and tastes of old grease. The staff also seemed unsure of their own menu at times, which didn’t help.

The rooms themselves are nice and spacious. Cleaning is acceptable, though they don’t collect used glasses from the rooms—so if you bring a drink back, you’ll need to return the glass to the bar the next day. The AC is only in the bedroom, so you need to let it run for a while to cool the whole apartment.

Another concern is that the rooms do not have smoke detectors, which are required in guest accommodations. This worried me, as if something happened in a nearby apartment, I might not know until it was too late.

Overall, it was a good stay if you’re looking for a very quiet place.

Staff were absolutely lovely at this hotel, in particular the pool bar breakfast and lunch staff, which is its saving grace. However the room is in need of serious TLC and a good clean, particularly for the price point. The pool however looked good and the food was fab for easy meals.

This was our third stay at Club Vista Serena and we couldn't recommend this hotel enough- the apartments are so spacious and clean and amazingly comfortable, they have everything you need and the air con is one of the strongest we've had in any holiday abroad!
The TV is big and very modern and links to your phone and netflix, and the kitchen is well equipped for full self catering requirements with a massive fridge and a decent size freezer too!
The staff are super friendly and helpful, the restaurant on site is also very reasonably priced with nice cocktails too!

Great value and nice clean apartment. Pool was nice, but too cold to swim in during December. The Pool Restaurant had good food at a decent price. Shower gel and shampoo is missing in the room! This should always be included and doesn't cost the hotel/resort much if they buy it in bulk.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. The place itself is quiet and relaxing, which I appreciated. However, I did notice ants in my room the day before I was leaving. While I didn’t report it, I trust the staff would have addressed the issue promptly if I had. Aside from that, it’s a very nice place with a wonderful team. I’d recommend it for the atmosphere and hospitality!

Had a very enjoyable 2 weeks here. There were 12 of us and we all enjoyed it. The pool was lovely and the Venice pool bar and restaurant was very good too. There was a problem with the cleaning in our second week which was a shame but all in all we had a great time here

This was a nice enough stay but there were a few issues that raised my eyebrow a little.

Staff are friendly around everywhere of the apartments. When I have raised issues they have been quick to sort it out.

They always asked if I needed anything as I often didn;t get room cleaned and they were aware.

Rooms are nice, bed comfy, and bathroom very good everything you need.

they have food but it is limited but what I prdered was nice.

maintenance wasn't all that good in my room, handles needed tightening and mirror in bathroom felt it needed fixing, but not end of the world.

Problem with reception it closes at 4 and therefore asking questions or getting help is a problem. if you are leaving after you must get your luggage before 4, you can't get a shower after 4 as it is located downstairs below reception. it's not ideal for those who are flying late. Checkout is too early.

I stayed 10 days and asked for late checkout and was told it was 39e. I was only looking for 1/2 hour or more and would pay a small fee - but wasn't paying 39e. It left a sour taste in my mouth after a 10 days booking.

The only channel for UK is BBC News and the channel itself is about American!

It's in a quiet area and not many people around the pool - the pool is nice though and well maintained.

It's near Holidayworld but a very good walk to Yumbo.

I would stay here again, but they really do need to fix issues on late checkout or make check out later. I wouldn't stay here if my flight was late

Very much in need of some TLC, our room was quite dirty and basic. Location is very far from any beach and will require constant buses and taxis unless you want to stay in the hotel all holiday. Hotel has potential but is lacking that attention to detail. Facilities are a little poor as there was no working wifi when we stayed which meant using a lot of mobile data, our rooms Wi-Fi was broken for the entirety of our stay. TV so tiny it is laughable. On a positive the bed was very comfy and on site food was very nice

Location of this property isn't central, but it has its own advantages, like quite environment. To get to the center in Playa de Ingles it would take about 30 minutes walk. But you can take a taxi any time.
My apartment was located in front of the pool bar which probably is not the best place if you want to sleep longer on mornings as it gets quite loud (or just shut the window).
My apartment had nice living room with kitchen corner and full size fridge with freezer. It was all stuff available for cooking if you want to. Bathroom was average from size, but nice and clean. And with a window. :-)
Bedroom with large wardrobe and bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was available.
In the living room there was a small LCD TV available which nowadays is too small, especially igf you are there during the Eurovision time.
I really appreciated kindness and help of this property staff. Especially lady in reception was professional and very helpful.
On the last days of my stay there were some reconstruction works going on which make some unpleasant noise. But property at least softened this uncomfortable situation with a bottle of champagne.

The location of the property could hardly be better.
It's about 3km away from city center in a quiet area.
I would suggest it to everyone!!!
It has/offers all the necessary things except the kitchen items selection is poor (limited options to cook by yourself).
Anyone going there should consider taking app 21A, which i think it's the best. It's on 1st floor, it has balcony, view on the swimming pool and away from the street.

Would highly recommend, it is out the way a bit from the main towns so either have to get a taxi or bus or walk but not too expensive in a taxi anyway about 5 euros so couldn’t complain at that. A cozy hotel in a residential area. Close to bus stops that will bring you to the beach and nearby cities. Prices at the hotel are very reasonable compared with other hotels in the region. Very quiet at night and not near any nightlife seeing how it is in a residential area. Friendly staff and large rooms with balconies.

Stayed here for 5 days with my sister and felt welcomed from the get go. There’s no entertainment at the hotel, but plenty nearby with an amusement park and several shopping centres within walking distance. It isn’t by the beach but taxis aren’t that expensive and the buses and fantastic too. The hotel was clean, the staff were all lovely, wifi was fast and free and I would one hundred percent return. Thank you for a brilliant holiday, Club Vista Serena.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely little apartments set away from main resorts. Lovely park and walks nearby to go down to the main resort is less than 5 Euro in a taxi.
Rooms are a good size and the maid came everyday when we stayed, bar and food also lovely and reasonably priced. Will definitely return one day again.

We are just back from a 1 week stay at the club vista Serena we had a lovely stay apartments & all public areas very clean & comfortable the food at the pool bar is excellent the best we have ever had on a complex the staff are all very friendly the staff at pool bar go above & beyond to be friendly & helpfull & make your experience not to forget especially ani & powlo chefs also very friendly we will be returning to club Vista Serena nxt year we like the area where it’s located you can walk into Maspalomas in about 40mins & walk down to holiday world where the bus stops are located & get public bus out to Mogan & Puerto Rico ect!! At very cheap prices also taxis are very cheap overall we had a fantastic stay & cant wait to go back

Swimming pool and bar area nice all staff very friendly and helpful ,no where close by to eat out so taxi is needed nice walk to beach buts it's a long walk !! good if you want a quiet holiday and don't mind jumping in and out of taxis 's .

Small complex, quiet and friendly.

The resort is small in comparison to many of the others within the area. The rooms are plenty big enough for a couple or a family with younger children. You have a small area to the front with a patio table, a living area, breakfast bar and kitchen, good size bedroom, and bathroom. The room was cleaned daily and new towels as required. On arrival, there was a little pack with washing up bits and a bottle of water in the fridge. The on-site shop was useful and was open until late and there is a Spar very close by. The pool was clean and tidy. We didn't really eat there other than to have chips. The wifi in the pool area is free but very slow, however, we were able to access this even in our apartment which was a bonus. We walked to Playa de Ingles which took 30 mins and to the beach at Maspalomas by Taxi which cost 4.50 Euros or a 50-minute walk. In addition, the 'Holiday World' arcades and small fun fair are about 10 minutes away. On a Saturday and Wednesday there is a large market 10 minutes walk.We hired a car to visit Playa De Mogan, Perto Rico and Pimentos Park. However, you could easily get a taxi or the bus to Pimentos and AquaLand. If you are looking for a place near nightlife this is not the place for you but if you like a quiet holiday by the pool this is perfect.

the hotel is in a quiet residential area a bus ride into main shopping and beaches .There is a lovely family feeling about the place and i felt it very welcoming from all the staff i met there.They seem to really enjoy their job and and make you feel like a guest and not an inconvenience.The hotel is spotlessly clean and my room was serviced every day and very well equipped fridge freezer,kettle iron micro,hob coffee maker and every thing worked!!! The room was a good size with a separate bedroom and the balcony was a joy !! with a lovely flowering creeper and overlooked the 2 pools 1 adult and 1 kiddie size.Supermarket on site and pool bar and luggage room available which was also spotless.Definitely will return here as it seems a very well run operation with very pleasant helpful staff.

We enjoyed our stay very much, above all the opportuninty to prepare food we bought at the marketplaces. We had rent a car that is why we appreciated free parking in the street, in front of the premises. Apartment was partly newly refurbished, but there are still many things to improve (above all in kitchen, incl. adding more kitchenware). The bed was comfortable and even daily housekeeping although the propositions stated weekly housekeeping.

Nice but wouldn't revisit

The hotel was nice and very clean!The wifi and and air con was charged 20 per week! Most staff were nice however some didn't speak English! Although they're super polite! Pool area was tiny! Service at the pool bar was terrible! Food was delayed by an hour and parts of roasted food was still frozen.
Location wise - it was far from all the beaches! The closest beach was half an hour drive! Not a lot to do in the area.

We arrived late and although the reception was closed and locked there was an intercom where a member of staff came to check us in - easy and efficient. The place was clean. The people were friendly and the staff were helpful. Cleaners come every day. Good English movie channel. Good free poolside wi-fi. The apartment is spacious. It is a very nice place to stay with its eye catching pastel colours. Cheap taxi fare to the beach - pretty setting with lots of restaurants, dine with a sea view. Highly recommend Pítos Y Flautas restaurant - live music and good food.

Nice place to relax, great value , clean rooms , beds could be better , staff not so helpful only the young man that worked there made up for the other 2 very unhelpful ladies ......seemed like we were bothering them with any questions we had like 'where do we get pool towels ?' ....you must rent them or get a cab to go buy them !
Internet was $15 Euros per week and did not work very well at all. Still enjoyed our stay , the pool bar and restaurant staff were a lot of fun , food ok . Local \"Low Cost Tours\" worth the time and money . Beaches near by ok but had to take a bus or boat ......

Good place but a couple of niggles

I could only get two nights at this place because it was so busy. But I enjoyed my stay, overall it was a comfortable place and well kept poolside and gardens. The only downsides were a charge for Wifi, which these days is unacceptable, but having reluctantly paid 12 Euros for my two days the Wifi was not strong enough to let me watch home TV using my app.

One other sourish note was an attempt by the poolside bar/restaurant to charge a full bottle price after I asked for a glass of Sangre de Toro. He eventually, bad-naturedly, backed down.

Quiet area, friendly staff.

Have just returned from a 5 day stay here, January 2016. It is situated in a quiet area but within walking distance of amenities. The beach is walkable but is around a 45 minute walk. However the lovely pool area means that the distance to the beach does not really matter. All the staff from receptionists to are very friendly and helpful. The apartments and clean and well appointed although the bathroom decor could do with some attention. The kitchen area has good provision for cooking but with the food available at the pool bar there is no need to try it out. The poolside menu is extensive, you could stay for a fortnight and not eat the same thing twice, unless you are vegetarian but even then they are willing to cook you something. Nothing is too much trouble to Oscar and his team and the food was some of the best I have tasted.
Altogether we had a wonderful stay, good food, comfortable accommodation and staff who always had a smile. It is away from the heart of the resort but if you prefer the quiet life it is the place for you.

Great value for money !

It is a very neat and clean hotel. Very friendly staff. My room had a small kitchen with all the necessary utensils such as pans, plates, cups etc. I like to cook once in a while in the hotel as I dont like eating out every meal even on a vacation. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, although not too far from the beach. The swimming pool inside the hotel is very nice. Take a taxi in 5 euros and you are on the Maspalomos beach. Or you can take the local bus for 1.5 euros. Other beaches such as Puerto Rico, amadores are reachable directly by bus. And the bus stop is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. A small supermarket (SPAR) is less than 2 minutes away. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel !

Enjoy you holidays, this apartment has everything you need for your trip. You can cook for you own.
Supermarket just round the corner and also in the location.
It's a bit far away from the center/beach, if you can handle this, vista serena is easy to recommend.
You can take the bus, rent a cheap car 200m apart (can park in front of the hotel), or enjoy a little walk for you daily exercise.

Also ideal for children.

Had a very relaxing holiday at Club Vista Serena. The staff were very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is a long walk from the town and the beach so maybe not ideal if you are interested in exploring the dunes are heading out for dinner most nights. We self catered most of the time so this was not a problem. WiFi was €5-6 per day. Would have been nice if this was free.

Nice and friendly place

A very nice place to stay, friendly, helpful staff. Nice poolarea, though we prefer the sea. It's some distance from the beach, but I like to run, and the route down along the \"river\" was a perfect daily holiday exercise routine. If you want to take a taxi, it's 5€ to either Maspalomas or Playa Del Ingles. I wouldn't hesitate booking my next holiday there.

Happy and relaxing holiday

We arrived at the resort around 9pm. The receptionist welcome us kindly giving all the information we need.
Arriving late we were hungry and eat at the restaurant situated beside the pool which is the only restaurant at the resort.The service was implacable and the food delicious. We had a great night especially because of the attention we got from the staff .That make us to have the diner at Club Vista Serena Restaurant every night. Every dish we chose was very tasteful and well presented .That was the merit of the chef Jorge ,from Argentina. Oscar and Vicky the other two members of the staff were very friendly and respectful .They have mixt meat barbeque every Sunday night when you can also see Oscar's talent in dancing.
The apartments are clean and big. They have all the utilities in the kitchen ,hairdryer, iron and iron board if you need and for a longer stay they have laundry too.
You can cool in a clean pool and serve a drink of your choice at the bar beside.
The resort is very quiet as it is situated away from the traffic of the main streets.
From all these reasons we hilly recommend this resort for everyone.

Everything about the accommodation was okay - the down side is the location - if you need to get to anywhere it's a long walk - or taxi ride. We found the supermarket on site to be very expensive - We hired a car and found a supermarket away from the tourist area - which was much cheaper. If you don't want to go further than your apartment and the swimming pool at a reasonable cost it's okay. The Wi-Fi is terribly slow - and only available around the pool area ... some days we were unable to download anything due to the speed. The safety deposit box is off the reception area - and you would be unable to fit any bulky item such as a SLR camera in to it. We found the ladies on the reception desk to be very polite and helpful. they booked us a taxi for the return trip to the airport - (which cost us 35Euro) - for the cost the apartments are good value.

A Quiet Gem.

If this place was closer to the centre of Maspalomas it would be with out a doubt triple the price. It is a 4Euro taxi ride in or a 40 minute walk. Factor that cost onto the really low cost of the apartment and you still get a great bargain.
It is low rise, very quiet, very clean with such friendly staff who will give you any help with a smile.
Well appointed apartment with comfortable double beds.Masses of flowers and greenery. A free library, great restaurant next door. Such a pretty place. Seems to attract quiet people.
Too quiet for teens.Good pool and poolside bar selling food at good prices.

We stayed here in one of the 1-bed apartments for the 1st week in Sept. The complex is great, very well maintained & equipped with very friendly & helpful staff.

The apartment itself I was very impressed with, maintained to a very high level and very well equipped with everything you would want for self-catering.

I would definately reccommend Club Vista Serena for couples young & old as well as families. The complex is a bit removed from all the hustle & bustle, which is good if that's what you want, but its a good 30 - 40 min walk from the beach. We rented bicycles for a few days, and that's a great way to get around Maspalomas & the surrounding areas.

We'd definately come back!

Le personnel de l'accueil est charmant et compétant. L'appartement est bien distribué avec une grande salle de bain et une chambre avec un grand lit et une agréable terrasse.
Seul bémol le ménage est fait à la va vite et pas bien fait. Le premier jour il manquait un produit shampoing et les autres jours nous n'en avons plus eu. Le 3eme jour la femme de ménage avait oublié de faire notre appartement mon époux lui a signifié mais cette personne n'était pas du tout contente arguant qu'elle faisait le ménage une fois tout les 2 jours: le premier jour elle nous avait expliqué qu'elle passait tous les jours. Dernière petite chose le carrelage de la salle de salon est cassé donc attention lorsqu'on est pied nu nous l'avons signalé à l'accueil au moment du départ

Parkmöglichkeiten waren super. Selbst als es ein riesen Sportfest in der nähe gab konnte man noch einen Parkplatz finden. Etwas von Nachteil war die höhrbare Hauptstraße hinter der Anlage. Aber bei geschlossenen Fenstern hört man sie nicht. Wegen des Sportfestes waren auch gegen ende sehr viele Familien mit Kindern im Hotel. Ruhig und entspannt am Pool liegen war dadurch dann eher weniger möglich. Trotzdem Preis/Leistung war in unserem Fall jedenfalls mehr als top und wir würden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Helt okej hotell med mest barnfamiljer och äldre. Något slitet, hårda sängar och väldigt ljudhört. Poolen är inte uppvärmd. Eget hushåll men det finns litet poolbar där man kan handla hamburgare, pizza osv. Nära till aktiviteter för barn. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Gratis parkering.

For a 3 star hotel, they should have gotten my 5 star review!

But the end at 4, simply because the apartments need some renovation soon. Don’t get me wrong, the place is more than worth it.

Its cosy.
Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Food at the hotel is ok.
Outside areas are pretty and well maintained.
Pool is clean and maintained.
Everyone is smiling and in a great mood.
Placed really good. Lots of parking if you have a rental car with you.
Apartment are great size.

Would I go again? Yes. Sure I would.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour du vendredi 27/09/24 au vendredi 18/10/24 dans cet établissement.
Le Club Vista Serena a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes et nous avons apprécié notre logement, aussi bien pour sa situation que pour sa conception et son confort.
Le personnel est compétant, très aimable, à l'écoute des clients et poli avec les résidents.
Nous ne reviendrons pas dans votre établissement l'année prochaine, car nous aimons toutes les iles Canaries et pensons retourner à Tenerife l'année prochaine en 2025, mais pourquoi pas revenir à la Grande Canarie en 2026 ou 2027 et dans cet établissement que nous avons apprécié.

Hôtel ancien mais bien entretenu confortable avec kitchenette, literie tres confort et vrai smartTV. Jardin minimaliste mais super bien entretenu. Piscine et transats tres propres.
Évitez la pension, restaurant cher et portions minis pour des randonneurs. Serveuse aimable a condition de payer une belle addition. En clair, evitez il y a pléthore de restaurants aux alentours.

Het eten was prima en wordt vers bereid. Ontbijt i.d. en best uitgebreid. Personeel echt heel vriendelijk, maat de kamers zijn enorm gehorig en ik kon \"genieten\" van geluiden die ik liever niet hoor. Kamers zijn netjes en schoon maar enig meubilair is aan vervaniging toe.

Wir fanden es sehr angenehm, dass die kleine Bar dabei war und man dadurch immer die Möglichkeit hatte etwas zu bestellen, sei es Essen oder Trinken. Die gesamte Anlage ist schon etwas älter, dennoch sehr gepflegt und alles sauber und in Schuss. Auch das Personal war rundum nett.

Très jolie résidence, familiale et calme avec des logements confortables et pratiques disposant de cuisine équipée. L’exterieur est joliement arboré, avec en son centre la piscine et le bar-restaurant. Le personnel est accueillant et à l’écoute de nos besoins. Le ménage est fait tous les jours dans les chambres. Les logements mériteraient peut-être un peu de renovation (fissures et jours dans la porte, joints noircis dans la douche et au sol, meubles abimés, climatisation encrassée, mauvaise isolation) La formule pension complète est assez limitée. Pour le petit-dejeuner, un \"plat\" ainsi qu’une boisson chaude et un jus de fruit sont au choix (les produits ne sont pas toujours de bonne qualité, par exemple les jus de fruits) Pour le dejeuner et le diner, seulement 2 choix de plats nous sont proposés (entrée et plat) les boissons sont en supplément, y compris l’eau. Ce n’est pas précisé mais l’eau de la résidence n’est pas potable, nous avons du acheter des bidons d’eau au supermarché. Autrement nous avons passé un agréable séjour ! Il y a des places de parking devant la résidence. La plage de Maspalomas est à 10mn en voiture.

Die Appartements sind gut eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist ruhig und es gibt ausreichend gratis Parkplätze direkt vor der Unterkunft. Der Check-in war unkompliziert und schnell. Ich würde diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Hotellets basseng var ikke oppvarmet. Det har vært defekt i over et år. For kaldt til kunne brukes. Vi ble skuffet over at det ikke var reparert. Var der for et år siden. Hotellet er slitt men rent og hyggelig betjening. God mat.

Ich habe 2 Wochen in dem Hotel verbracht und war sehr zufrieden. Mein Appartement war sehr sauber und für eine selbst Verpflegung sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem, allerdings ist es sehr hellhörig in den Räumen. Man hört die Nachbarn und nachts den Straßenverkehr. An der Pool Bar gibt es leckeres Frühstück und den ganzen Tag leckere Speisen zu angenehmen Preisen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Estancia condicionada

La tranquilidad no existió pero porque nuestra estancia estuvo condicionada. Y es que tuvimos el acierto de coincidir con el mundialito de fútbol de Maspalomas, por lo que el complejo era como un patio de instituto.

Se suponía que a partir de las 22:00 pasaba un \"guardián\" a mantener la calma, pero el sábado eran las 23:59 y los chiquiyos armándola...que la culpa es de los padres a ver, todos hemos sido niños. Porque ojo, a las 8 de la mañana estaba la madre llamándolo a grito peladísimo.

Además nos tocó el bungalow 24B, al lado del billar y en la bajada de la recepción. NO COJÁIS EL 24B. La piscina es justa también eh.

Por esto no puedo darle más nota pero DIGO LO BUENO TAMBIÉN:
La recepcionista muy amable y nos resolvió un problema con el acceso de manera genial. El bungalow está bien para dos por ejemplo, no es pequeño y su buena terracita. El bar piscina cierra pasadas las 21:00. Tiene una zona chill out muy acogedora que para nosotros LO MEJOR. Aparcamiento relativemente fácil, supermercado y el Pepe cerca también.

Aún así volveremos que nos quedó la espinita de probarlo con una estancia más \"normal\" con menos chavales rondando por allí.

La limpieza ha estado muy bien, pero los apartamentos están bastante deteriorados, y parcheados.
Según la web pagábamos en el alojamiento pero nos han cobrado por adelantado porque la recepción cierra a las 16:00. Por lo cual a partir de esa hora no había nadie del complejo para controlar los ruidos de otros huéspedes

El sitio es muy acogedor a la vez de tranquilo.
La habitación es cómoda y el baño muy amplio.
Las almohadas, que no suelen ser buenas, resultaron comodísimas al igual que la cama.
Se echó en falta pasta dental y un jabón mejor, también el señor que atiende fuera del horario de recepción no estaba muy formado para el puesto y no supo dar instrucciones claras, pero esto son detalles en comparación de lo bien que está la relación servicio-precio.

El apartamento era grande y cómodo, baño grande y todo muy limpio. El wifi perfecto. Los exteriores eran perfectos. Quizá para añadir algo, faltarían amenities y mejorar el sofá, que no era muy cómodo.
