The hotel was extremely kids friendly. The buffet was kids friendly and the staff was lovely.

There are only some minor things I think that could have improved our stay. Mid week the diner times changed which was slightly inconvenient. Diner got very hectic as there were lots of families at the same time.

The place is very minimalist and dated. It’s quantity over quality, which is ok if that’s what you prefer. The food is very basic and blend, lacking variety and healthy nutrition.

Great 👌 stay.

Different rates depending on what you stay in and for how long. They entertain around the pool during the night until 11, but my cabin was far enough away. Everyone hears it!
Cleaning is minimal unless you ask for more done in spanish or broken English. There's HB minimum 2 days purchase. Clean. CoVid-19 clean. 10 days was much. A week would have sufficed. Beside a supermarket for easy access to food. Cancelled shuttles to the beach with no warning.

A very good hotel. Lots of parking spaces. A bit far to the beach but there is a free bus to the beach (3 times per day). Close to the Yumbo shopping center. 2 nice swimming pools, gym, football / basketball court, tennis court. Nice staff everywhere. My kids loved the evening animations. Large selection of food and drink during all meals. In our 2 bedroom apartment there was everything you need e.g. a kettle, microwave, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery. There was even an xbox. My rating reduces the presence of cockroaches in the apartment.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom by galow very spacious, housekeeping called everyday which is pretty unusual for a self catering property, not only do you have dining table and chairs on the patio they also provide sun loungers.

Great for families especially with young children

Very enjoyable stay for myself, wife and 3 year old daughter. 1 bed apt was perfect and clean. Pools and entertainment was great. Only slight issue I had was that I did not use All Inclusive (never do) but other than the bar menu (pizza, burger, hot dog) there was only a buffet service every night for dinner in the restaurant, so ended up leaving the complex every evening. Not too bad as there are a few places to eat within walking distance. I had a car so drove to Meloneras (10 mins) plenty of very good restaurants there.

Very quiet place and guests well looked after. Everything clean both inside and out. Spacious bungalows with everything we needed but furniture in livingroom need updating. Excellent beds. Furniture outside very good. I loved the free wifi. The only down side was the bathroom. Hard for people with disabilities and old people to take a shower. Have to climb into a bathtub. We felt really secure and safe. Highly recommend the place

The beds were not good, the sauna didn’t work, generally not a great hotel in terms of comfort. The area felt unsafe uncertain parts, with men wolf whistling (not a fault of the hotel obviously!) just not a nice location :(

Another amazing visit

We last came here in 2014 as a couple. Had the most amazing time. Coming back we hoped it would be the same. Well yet again exceeded all our expectations food was still good plenty of choice and good quality alcohol was still good choice only change is now you have to pay 1euro for the slushs disappointing as I lived off these with a little shot of vodka in last time. The staff waiters waitresses bar staff all very attentive. We brought our 6 month old daughter and the staff were so amazing with her. She had literally stole everyone's hearts and attention by the end of the week. Special mention to Cristina her day off must of been our last day sad we never got to say goodbye.all the animation team were amazing so talented funny and caring.hoping to come back in November to see our faves again jose Marco Gustavo Lorena Lucia Lydia Andrea Bryony Lee Ashley and Andrea we love you. Our best visit yet. We have the holiday blues already. Only criticism I have is the bathroom layout in bungalows is a very inadequate so difficult to bath the baby as the bedae was in the way an shower screen does not move. We thouggt it would be difficult with a baby but was actually alright Bungalows are fab in terms of microwave to sterilise bottles kettle for making them. Bungalows are good size and have been slightly updated since last time. Nicer headboard pictures on wall etc. Boiling water available for bottles at pool at coffee machine and staff got us a jug to cool bottles

The hotel is perfect for young families as it has some great splash pools and play areas to entertain them.
The food selection at the all inclusive buffet was extensive and always seemed fresh and the accommodation was spacious and clean.

We have been taking holidays in Gran Canaria for more than ten years and stayed in various hotels in Maspalomas area. Comparing with others, this is not bad but no better than others. On bright side, plenty of free parking spaces, food are generally good, staff friendly, room spacious (we took a one bed room bunglow), three pools , various entertainments, really suitable for family with children. Downside, it is not particular close to beach, at least 20 minutes walk or take free shuttle bus, pool not very warm. Hotel itself is a bit tired. In one of the days, builder closed the car park entry for road maintenance, my car (along with some other cars) were blocked in. Hotel really should have informed guests at check in. It really created problem for those who had to leave on that day.

Great location and perfect for families with young

The hotel is located in a nice area but close to “town” and the beach is about 15 mins walk away. Thebungalows are spacious but the furniture is dated and tatty. The bathroom was a stupid layout in ours as you couldn’t easily get to the bath which is not ideal when you want to was your little one. It was also unfortunate that the pools where the sprinkles are , are not heated so our little one couldn’t play in it. The restaurant is big and there is a wide variety of food but it can get repetitive. Can’t fault the staff though!! All inclusive only includes beer and wine!!
Overall it’s a good cheapest place to stay with kids but for not much effort and cost it could be made so much nicer!

Few problems on check in due to hotels.com error but was resolved quickly by staff at the hotel. Overall the stay was really good, staff were friendly and helpful. Complex was clean and very good for children. Area was great for easy access to beach, shops and bars etc. Only problem we found with room was the walls felt slightly damp so the plaster and paint were crumbling, the bathroom drain and kitchen sink also blocked but was also resolved straight away.

We stayed for a long weekend this hotel in November and returned in December. The whole facility including spa is amazing. Room comfortable, clean.Both the 1 bedroom apartment and 2 bed villa were just as comfortable. Cool bar. Nice, colourful dishes from restaurant. Will definitely return,great location.

Basic hotel but good for cheap deal

Stayed for 4 nights in November with hubby and theee children 9,7,5
Room was basic, quite tired and a bit tatty. Shower was cold but we got on with it and didn’t complain due to us only being there for 4 nights .
Location was “ok” a long walk to the beach but a free shuttle bus to a nicer beach so that was ok.
Pools were nice but utterly freezing .
Kids enjoyed the disco at night . Entertaining staff Work very hard and are good with guests

The location was perfect, who is looking for quite and relaxing stay. Great place to stay with family, as the hotel has many activities for children: swimming pools for babies, bigger children and adults,splash area, playground, disco for children... My 3 boys loved swimming pool with slide. It was perfect for the age 5-7. Also outside the bungalow they could play ball and have fun with no worries of cars. My family always will chose this hotel for stay and recommend to the friends.

Brief stay

The Normandy Inn is a delightful ,French inspired hotel with charming rooms. The bedroom was attractive with toile and Provençal decor with a fireplace and seating areas. The bathroom was rather small and uninspiring. However, the setting is lovely right in the heart of Carmel and easy walking distance to the beach and all the shopping. The parking lot is limited but adequate on the street. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Nothing was hot except coffee. Mostly bagels and yogurt. I was hoping for croissants at least! I would come back though for the location and charm. Just walk down the street to one of the local spots for breakfast.

Petit logement individuel avec séjour et chambre spacieuse et grande salle de bain. Très grande propreté avec changement régulier des draps et serviettes. Bar gratuit renouvelé chaque jour.
Personnel très accueillant et disponible.

Seul point négatif, le restaurant avec service à table à éviter pour un prix très élevé et les plats banals proposés.

Une arrivée épouvantable. Un mépris de la part de l’accueil et de la direction. Qui ne validait pas ce qui était compris dans la réservation et voulait nous mettre dans une chambre pour célibataire alors que nous étions un couple avec un bébé de 8 mois. Une situation compliquée, mais surtout une réaction du personnel de l’hôtel inadmissible.
C’est notre 2 ieme mais dernier séjour dans cette hôtel.

Hyvä bungalow-hotelli, kaikki siistiä. Ravintolassa loistava palvelu, vastaanotossa joillain henkilöillä parantamisen varaa. Ravintolassa otettiin hyvin lapsen allergia-asiat huomioon. Aino miinus oli, että saimme ensimmäiseksi yöksi väärän huoneen, saimme kaksion kolmion sijaan. Asia korjaantui seuraavana päivän, mutta ei aiheutunutta harmia ja vaivaa meille paljon hyvitetty tai pahoiteltu.

HOTEL CALME MAIS NE VALANT PAS 3 ETOILES, accueil gentil, personnel tres aimable, jardin bien entretenu , mais bungalows a renover absolument : tel en panne, accessoires de douche bringuebalants, frigo qui avait disjoncté, odeur egout dans salle de bain , de plus notre bungalow etait a l 'autre bout du parc donc vu sur le mur d'en face et tres à l'ombre, dommage. endroit avec 90% d'allemands donc pt dej a base de charcuterie , fromage , omelette, les vienoiseries sont mauvaises et le jus d'orange une horreur en sachet pour un endoit qui cultive des oranges c'est tres dommage, à part ça endroit calme

Stedet er meget familievennlig, med to basseng deler på området.Ett for de minste barna, med sklier og stort åpent område med lekestativer. De andre har større basseng hvor det foregår aktiviteter med animation team.
En kan velge mellom bungalov med enten 1 ellet 2 soverom, i tillegg til kjøkken og stue med skandinaviske kanaler på tv.
Kan anbefales.

Sicuramente l'attenzione per i bambini è il punto forte della struttura,le piscine meravigliose,l'animazione dedicata eccezionale, ampie comode e spaziose le camere. Il buffet della colazione risulta super fornito per quanto riguarda la parte salata ma non così per quella dolce. Los bungalows están en general bien, cuentan con una pequeña cocina, tele y en nuestro caso dos habitaciones. Las instalaciones del hotel en general están bien. Cuenta con dos piscinas. Para que te den las toallas para la piscina hay que dejar una fianza de 15€ y fue un poco tedioso encontrar donde daban dichas toallas, con personal que no sabía donde se daban, etc.

PD: La app que promocionan en la entrada del hotel para comunicarse directamente con recepción, mal. Nunca respondieron a través el chat.

Complejo ideal para pasar las vacaciones en familia, con respecto a otras ocasiones en las que hemos está allí, este año noté falta de limpieza en la zona de piscina ... vasos, ceniceros, piso sucio. Comida del bufet correcta sin grandes pretensiones. El día que llegamos el bungalow tenía polvo, pero el resto de los días la limpieza fue excelente. Camas cómodas , almohadas incómodas. Repetiremos

Entspannter Urlaub mit guten Preis-Leistungsniveau

Wir hatten einen kleinen Bungalow, der recht sauber war. Die Einrichtung ist nicht die neuste, aber funktional. Das Doppelbett war bequem, nur die Schlafcouch bemängelt unser Sohn. Da wir nur 3 Nächte gebucht hatten, haben wir nicht gewechselt. Es wurde uns aber angeboten.
Die grösse des Bungalows war super, wir hatten eigene Sonnenliegen und auch einen Tisch für die Abende draussen zu verbringen.
Sollte man kein all-inklusive Angebot gebucht haben, so befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt direkt neben dem Hotel.
Das Hotel serviert Speisen nach verschiedenen Mottos, leider stand nirgends welche. Zusätzlich gibt es eine Diätecke und eine Kinderecke. Das Hotel ist sehr stark auf Kleinkinder ausgelegt, aber auch ältere können dank Fussballplatz auf ihre Kosten kommen. Es gibt auch ein Fitnessstudio was mich überraschte. Täglich gibt es mehrere Shuttlebusse zum Strand, aber auch ein individueller Transport Richtung Strand kostet nicht mehr als 5 €. Alles in allem ein toller Urlaub zu einem recht guten Preis-Leistungsniveau.
