This was our 3rd stay, and we have a fourth booked for next month. We love it for its location and quietness. Its always kept very clean. My only comment is we could not use the pool this time it was so painfully cold. I assumed the pool was heated as it was in previous years, its still early March. If they have turned it off already then thats a shame. Night time is cold and day temperatures dont get high enough for the water to heat naturally. For mamy this might be a major distraction as other complexes have heated pools. It hasnt put us off, but hoping easter will be warmer and we can use the pool. Spar and HyperDino within a 5 minute walk for essentials.

Theoretically excellent hotel in need of attention to room maintenance: a toilet that takes 20 mins to fill, a shower drain that needed cleaning, a leaky hand shower, an ventilator in the bathroom thats needs to be cleaned. Swimming pool and tubs quite cold.

Amazingly flexible night staff when our flight was delayed. Friendly staff, spotless site and comfortable rooms. Convenient for Yumbo, public transport, shopping and eating. Salt water pool a delight to swim in. Despite location, it’s an oasis of quiet and calm in the craziness.

the room and surroundings are absolutely spotless, a calm and tranquil place that `I will definitely visit again, breakfast is provided at a cost however any extra's like one boiled egg come at a cost of € 2.00 which in my eyes is a bit steep. the room was amazing with a choice of pillows and a very comfortable bed. I only booked the property 6 hour before my travels and its just great.

The swim up bar advertised on Expedia is a lie - this doesn’t exist.
Laundry is available but what a faff, oh and it’s an extra 10 euros!! When I wanted to use it I had to wait for a technician as the machine was broken. After walking back and forth for most of the morning I was then able to use the machine.
Rooms are advertised with coffee making facilities- correct but misleading. The coffee capsules are 1 euro each and they don’t replenish and sugar. Less than 5 mins away is a shop that sells capsules 10 for 3.5 euros.

Staff was really lovely and the highlight of my stay. Unfortunately the rooms are starting to look a bit 'tired' from constant use and things like towels and bath matts don't look very good (not the usual bright white).
I also thought that the cleanliness could have been much better. Lots of hair in my bedroom and the grout between the tiles were very dirty and dark.

The resort is conveniently placed with decent facilities. It is walking distance from a number of shops, bars, cafes and clubs. The airport bus stops just round the corner. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Despite central location it was rather calm and quiet.

I have stayed at Sanom Beach before, so knew that I was returning to somewhere special. It's beautiful, the rooms are well-appointed, the shower is great, everything works well. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a little haven of tranquilty, but very close to the Yumbo Centre with its restaurants, bars, drag shows, and venues catering to the wilder side. The pool is great, and it never got too busy. There are two outdoor jacuzzis and a number of canopied double sun beds in white leather. The bar is stylish with a good range of excellent cocktails. There is even a gym. It's tiny, but enough. I was fortunate in that I had that place to myself on my visits, but I noticed three people managing to work out at the same time in it on the day I was leaving, and it saved me from the time and effort (and expense) of signing up for a week at one of the nearby gyms. I would definitely consider visiting again.

Shame this property does not offer B&B or half board basis, had nice restaurant but a lot of guests go out to eat, food looked good but not cheap. If they were to offer bed and breakfast deals, or even dinner, more people would stay and eat in. Nespresso machine in the room which was brilliant but only first 4 capsules free and then you got to pay or bring your own, also no spoons, just wooden sticks. I think this property has so much potential. My stay was ok but it could’ve been so much better.

Excellent place to say, greeted with a lovely reception and smooth check in. Staff were welcoming and friendly all week with a can do attitude. Pool area and Jacuzzi's cleaned frequently, room cleaned daily with new toileties provided too. Air con lovely and cold, bed nice and comfy. My only additional ask would be for a couple of plasic cups in the room in addition to glasses to use around the pool area (but that is a very minor point)

Comfy beds with a douvet and air conditioning in the bedroom. Peaceful communal areas to relax and undwind. This is not a noisy hotel and a great slice of peace away from the madness within the Yumbo.

Great location, very close to the Yumbo Centre. Nice spacious property, with attractive pool and Jacuzzi area.

Rooms are a shade more shabby than they appear in the pictures. And as previous people have mentioned, the connecting door issue between rooms is definitely a problem. You can hear everything from the neighbouring room, people talking, coughing, going to the toilet, it’s like they are in the same room.

There is a great little gym.

I had problems with the housekeeping, one day they knocked on the door and I asked them in Spanish to come back in five minutes, as I was heading out, they never did.

And almost every other day, when they did clean the room, they never replenished the shampoo and shower gel. It became a joke between me and the lovely evening front desk staff, when I had to go and ask for them, she was full of apology each time, and incredulous by the last evening that housekeeping yet again hadn’t left me any.

The check-in process is bureaucratic and interminable. It’s really bad luck if you arrive and there is a queue, I don’t know why it takes so long, much longer than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. So brace yourself for a long wait, even if you are at the front of the queue.

It is a nice resort in a great location, but on balance I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

We had a great stay overall. The hotel is lovely, well-maintained, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi was a highlight—warm, relaxing, and a great way to unwind. The atmosphere was peaceful, with no children around, making it a quiet and restful experience.

However, there were a few downsides. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t up to standard—the floors didn’t seem to be mopped properly (if at all), and one day, our towels weren’t replaced. The biggest issue was the shower, which kept overflowing and flooding the bathroom. Another drawback was the lack of privacy due to the adjoining rooms. While this setup might be convenient for families, I could hear every movement from the neighbouring room, including footsteps and even bathroom use.

Overall, it’s a good hotel with some great features, but the lack of privacy and upkeep of the room let it down.

Fantastic hotel and great location. Only downfall was they don’t refill the coffee and sugar despite seeing that we are using it daily, also we were self catering with zero cooking appliances or tools, we had to ask for plates and cutlery and they cleaner then took them away and didn’t replace them. Also staff can be a little moody but the hotel itself is really lovely. We had room 1905 which was amazing with own terrace and two steps to the pool, it was like a swim up room, really lovely!

Bed is v large and comfortable but rest of fixtures and fittings are getting tired and floors don't look clean enough. Shower floods. No hooks in bathroom to hang towels. No socket on desk to plug in coffee machine. Grey on grey makes rooms feel souless. Outside, the pool didn't look pristine clean and the white paths at funky angles throughout the grounds were tripping hazards. Badly laid plastic grass everywhere.

Was very nice place to stay. We found everyone who worked here to be welcoming and polite, they also spoke good level of english.
There was always someone at reception if you needed anything and they have night security from 9pm, when you use a side door next to main entrance.
Rooms are small bungalows which do have joining doors, we didn't have anyone staying in the joining room until the day we left and not sure we would have liked it as much if they had been in there all week, but i think it also depends on the type of person staying there. i do think they try to scatter people around so you dont have people next to each other. Think that will also depends on how busy it is.
room was lovely, very modern and light. The bed was very comfortable, was 2 large singles pushed together which is the usual thing. There was a kettle, expresso machine( they give a couple of pods, so either bring some along or grab from shop when here). There was a tv but we never switched on. Room has aircon and it was perfect. Many ppl mentioned about the shower, about how the water running out. There is a shower matt that will help but best solution is to slightly turn down the power on the shower, we did this and never had a problem.
Our room overlooked the pool and it was nice at times when quiet but if you like a bit of privacy or less noise from people by the pool then maybe ask for somewhere else. By the pool it was very quiet with no music. Another area with 2 hottubs and a bar with music

All day availability for sun loungers, day beds and 2 hot tubs near the pools without any problems. Cocktails very nice and reasonably priced. Good range of music played outdoors around pool areas. Didn't eat breakfast here so couldn't give a rating. Fake grass, so less insect bites! Hotel is around 15 minutes walk to the beach. Eating out is easy locally, in the nearby streets, shopping mall or nearby the beach at reasonable prices. This complex is all at ground floor level and is relatively small compared to the high tower hotels nearby, but is cosy, quiet and intimate if this is what you need. Good hotel for couples or solo break.
The negatives - breakfast is a little expensive considering you need to choose individual breakfast plan, continental, full English or American style. For the price
a buffet style would be more appealing. Breakfast time is a little later/shorter than usual from 9am - 10.30am being a smaller complex. For those 2 reasons I dined out. Dissapointing no English language TV channels. Download your movies in advance. Reception opening hours 9am - 11pm, which could prove to be a little inconvenient. So if you need to check out early before reception opening time, do it the evening before! Otherwise side door is accessible. Emergency info on the wall outside reception. I would have no problem staying here again. Lovely!

Thank you for an excellent stay. The pool areas were super clean, staff excellent. Constant cleaning and looking after the property. We had a basic room but it was fine. So close to Yumbo and loads of restaurants. We loved it here and would stay again. Very peaceful considering Yumbo was so close (basically across the road) but we wanted to be close so it suited us. 15 Minute walk to the beach - no problem. Hard to find fault.

Lack of Spanish Vibe, Thin Walls

I recently stayed at the Sanom Beach Resort, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The resort seemed to be primarily populated by English and German tourists, lacking the authentic Spanish vibe I had hoped for.

While the rooms were acceptable, the thin walls between them were a significant drawback. I could easily hear my neighbors, including the sound of flushing toilets, which impacted the overall comfort and privacy.

To add to the disappointment, the hotel only provided coffee pods, and when I requested teabags, I was told there would be an additional charge. This struck me as unreasonable, as most hotels typically offer a variety of complimentary beverage options. The towels provided were also notably dirty, suggesting a lack of attention to cleanliness.

Moreover, the pricing of the hotel did not align with the quality of the services and amenities. The Jacuzzi, a feature I was looking forward to, was unexpectedly closed during my stay, adding to the overall disappointment.

In conclusion, I found the Sanom Beach Resort to be overpriced for the experience it offered. The lack of a Spanish ambiance, thin walls, additional charges for basic amenities, and cleanliness issues make it challenging to recommend this resort to others.

Good but for adjoining rooms.

You’re at the merci of the people in the adjoining room. We had nightmare people - so loud all the time. It should be noted that all rooms are adjoining. Overall would have been great but didn’t get much sleep over 5 nights.

Very Nice

Very comfortable and tidy with rooms cleaned daily. However the bed sheets were not changed in the 7 days we stayed.
The pool was not heated which one would expect in January also one of the Jacuzzis was barely warm. Bar staff had no idea about cocktails but other than than - Very Nice. Would I return - Yes.

Amazing hotel stay . Excellent 👌

Absolutely over the moon with my whole experience at this place . From check in to the rooms, pool are and facilities. Staff so attentive. Nothing a bother. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms cleaned every day . Pool area so so clean . I could not have been more happy with this place. Excellent location. 2 mins walk from Yumbo center.
By far one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. Stayed 13 _20 Jan . I would recommend this place 100% . Very chilled out relaxing feel to the place . Young lady at the pool bar could not have been anymore helpful. Excellent . Oh and the rainfall shower was fantastic.

Identity crisis

Although this location identifies as a hotel there is very little about it that actually makes it one. This was a forma bungalow complex and it is still trying to get over this forma identity. The rooms if you can call them that are ok however the facilities are not. No food during the week at the pool bar only weekends. No evening meal or lunch service. Reception is only available at certain time. The place looks amazing but it’s the detail that is missing. Hence the identity crisis it’s still trying to become a hotel even though it’s setup as bungalow complex
