Fab hotel for the money, we were all inclusive and the food was great and joey’s that had to be booked was also fab, always had a clean room each morning and even a bottle of fizz left for my Birthday which we assumed was picked up with checking our passports, lovely touch. Would definitely recommend Thank you.

Overall ok ,food was of poor quality ,too much fried or deep fried , hot plates were not hot , all food that was supposed to be hot was like warm at best.
The facilities were generally good , pools , terrace es and furniture,general outside areas, and clean and litter free,however ,lots of cats around ,and in the heat a pungent smell of cat poo around gardens .
Drinks in all cases were poor quality.
Rooms were spacious and the bathroom had shower and baths in them .
Overall would not book again , needs to improve food / drinks standards and quality

Worth a visit!

What a lovely few days at the Koala. Staff were very friendly and efficient.
The rooms were of a good size, and very clean throughout.
The food was ok, plenty of variety for each meal.
The service at the bar was good. The drinks were of course not 'premium brands' being an all inclusive hotel. Was a little disappointed that the cocktails were ready made in boxes. Would have been nice for them to be prepared at the time.
A shame that there were not more tables and chairs around the bar area outside. The high tables were plenty, but the stools are hardly comfortable!
The proximity to the roads made for a little noise coming from the traffic, but nothing too bad.
I would definitely visit again though, and especially at this time of year to get some winter sun.

Lovely hotel. Quiet and tranquil location with nice accommodation set in different “zones” with only 2 levels. Only faults are that food was not very hot and drinks served in paper cups with cocktails from a pump so doesn’t feel very luxurious.

On our arrival to the room, we noticed the shower was dirty (paint was peeling off the walls and there was mould in the shower) we reported this to the hotel and they said they would send somebody over but nobody came... we also had cockroaches in our bathroom. Not something I was looking for. The room itself wasn’t the cleanest either, the lamp shades had lots of dust and webs on them same with the skirting boards. Wardrobes were clean just had a weird smell. The beds were also clean but so firm we slept on our duvets. The curtains in the room has blood on them (I’m asuming it’s from the mosquitos people have killed) and they had not been washed which wasn’t so nice.
The hotel also claims that they feed the cats (says it on the information papers they give you when you check in, but when we talked to some staff, they said they used to feed the cats but they no longer do so. Bowls were empty and dirty so we were feeding the cats when we stayed.
Food was alright overall. Breakfast was always the same, lunch and dinners differed. There were times where the food was cold or missing but that’s due to lack of staff, not the chefs fault. Same in the beach bar, every day the food mostly the same. And after around 5pm there was no more hot dogs or burgers, just ham and cheese toasties.

Don’t think the hotel deserves the 4* compared to other hotels we have stayed at with the same star rating have had better standards, food and overall experience.

Overall the koala garden was excellent. Food was particularly good. Though... A week of it was plenty, beer and wine were particularly good. Staff were excellent. But woe betide you if you get caught feeding any of the cats that are running round your feet in the outside dining area. Swimming pool hours were draconian, which was a shame as I like to swim before breakfast and when I get back after a day out. The area is a bit sparse, so unless you want to stay at the hotel and not go out much... Be prepared for some long walks or hire a car

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was a bit cautious regarding other reviews e.g. restaurant always being full & having to sit outside and be inundated with cats. We never struggled and saw a maximum of 6 cats the whole stay.

Food was delicious and hot each meal - never had a boiling hot meal on a buffet style meal before so never expected it to be boiling. We both thoroughly enjoyed all meals.

Room was modern and clean.

Fantastic all-inclusive hotel experience

Hotel Koala Garden was a fantastic place to stay for our 4 night winter sunshine getaway. Never having experienced all-inclusive before we couldn't fault it. The service was fantastic, all the food was very tasty and the bar was great. All drinks were proper measures and the help-yourself soft drinks and snacks was very welcome. All the staff were really friendly and geuniely wanted to help and the whole complex was spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious with a balcony, my only complaint would be that as all the rooms faced the central pool and entertainment area, getting to sleep in the evening if you weren't involved in the entertainment was tricky because of the noise. But otherwise a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend.

Great hotel, good service and choice.

Our first visit to Gran Canaria we found this hotel at a reasonable price, it's a 20/30 minute walk to the main resorts and beaches, however it has good facilities on site and there is a (limited) free bus shuttle to the beach. I've never done all-inclusive before and was pleasantly surprised with the variety and selection of food and drinks available. The menu options for lunch and dinner changed every day, all food was fresh and continually restocked. The drinks selections included cocktails. There are a number of pools on site plus many sun loungers, it was off season so not too busy. The staff we dealt with were all friendly, we checked in late (around 2200) and received a welcome box with sandwiches, fruit and juice. Holiday world theme park is just 5 mins walk away although it only opens limited hours. Would stay again and would recommend.

Great food selections .. always looked forward to my meals. Lovely ambience, staff very friendly. Wifi is very good in rooms plus base location and is free including the room safe.

As a recommendation: Hotel should have bigger/more clear signs for recycling towels and paper/plastic cups etr. Plastics kills the planet and recycling save us more money.

Nice hotel but a long way from the sea front. Unfortunately all inclusive is killing the island, we found shopping centres and water parks boarded up (not just for the winter, locals have gone bankrupt). People are just not leaving their all inclusive hotels. A different story on the sea front, high end shops and good facilities.

Fabulous 7 night stay all inclusive

Wonderful Hotel, we have had all inclusive, food plentiful, all day long cocktails, loved the Mojito, 7 pools, hotel kept well clean,very quiet Air Con, one of the quietest ones we had, good night sleep ,hotel staff ensured everyone was being catered and look after , excellent shower, everything great and fabulous, only hotel room internet a bit slow, but It did not affect the holiday whatsoever,thanks Koala Garden Hotels, would recommend 100 % to anyone

I have just returned from my visit to hotel koala and absolutely loved it!! The room was big and very clean plenty of options for breakfast lunch and dinner including the snacks throughout the day!! Staff were brilliant and always happy to help with booking taxis to the town/beach which is around €4 -€5. I have already. Been looking to return next year with my husband and son as we came on a girls holiday.

Generally everything spot one. We had a amazing time! Pool area lovely with heated pool plenty of sun beds. Rooms spotless and spacious! Food was excellent and plenty of choice only down side was the snack bar food was uncovered and always cold! We would Defo stay here again in fact looking to book again in May!

Breakfast is definitely the best meal. Cooking things properly (fully cook the chicken, don't overcook the lamb) would make the food better. Most of the food seemed a bit cheap.. that said, the apartment was lovely and the grounds well kept. Would return but b&b!

Lovely complex - just the right number of guests!

Nice complex and in the middle of December there were just the right number of guests so that there were always sun beds available - not sure if we would have liked to stay there at the height of the season.
Miles away from the beach - we waited for the free bus to take us to the beach but it never came so we ended up paying €5 for a taxi instead!
Very clean room which was massive and only several feet away from one of the several pools.
Food was fine and a large selection. Buffet style. Not 5 star but then it’s not a 5 star hotel. Good value for the money.

Cheap week away all inclusive

Managed to book a great value all inclusive week away through Expedia and wasn't expecting great things regarding the hotel or the food. How pleasantly surprised we were. The Koala is undergoing renovation work but we were housed in the section that had already been refurbished and thought the room was clean spacious and well appointed. This was extended to the pool area which was beautiful and clean. Although the restaurant was in one of the older sections the food was also surprisingly good and varied. All in all we couldn't have asked for more given the cost of the holiday. When all of the sections are finished it will be a really nice place to stay just away from the main areas.

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert, nie wieder, wenn man als Paar anreist - nicht empfehlenswert! Kinderanimation in vollster Lautstärke durch das Mikrofon, täglich bis 22:30 Uhr!! Zimmer befinden sich um die Kinderanimation, oder auch direkt zur stark befahrenen Strasse. Es ist immer laut, man bekommt keine Erholung. Zimmer okay für südliche Verhältnisse, aber nicht wirklich geputzt! Essen ist Massenproduktion, ohne Liebe, schlechte Qualität, Billigware Viele Katzen streunen zwischen den Stühlen umher und holen sich die Essensreste vom Servierwagen, und trinken aus dem Pool Wasser. Hotellobby richt extrem nach Raumparfum, und es gibt ein quitschendes Geräusch das Tag und Nacht permanent zu hören ist, auf dem gesamten Areal, Schuld wird der Wind sein, etwas Schmieröl könnte helfen. Manches Personal ist freundlich, anderes wiederum nicht, Arbeitsmoral niedrig. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder.

Me gustó la amplitud de la habitación, la comida estaba correcta, los trabajadores era simpáticos y atentos, que hubiera varias espacios para estar, unos más tranquilos y otros más bulliciosos. El gimnasio estaba bastante completo y el horario era amplio. A priori parecía que iba a ser más ruidoso pero las gorras de descanso se respetaban y se dormía bien.
No me gustó el descuido de la habitación. Tenía varios desperfectos de importancia para ser un 4 estrellas.
Habría que hacerle una puesta a punto a las habitaciones.
Que las camas sean separadas es muy incómodo para dormir en pareja.
En general no me pareció un hotel de la calidad y servicios 4 estrellas, aún así el personal era tan agradable que hicieron nuestra estancia fabulosa, repetiríamos

Eine Woche Sonne und Strand

Hotel hat Potential. Zimmer , TV etc. in Ordnung .
Was nicht gut war ist das Essen. Es hat auch anderen Gästen nicht geschmeckt und die Speisen waren oft kalt. Die Salate haben auch nicht so toll ausgesehen. Noch ein Punkt der überhaupt nicht gefallen hat war die Lautstärke. Auch beim Kinderanimation über 100 dezibel. Das schadet dem Gehör auf Dauer. Ich fand es unangenehm. Aufgrund dieser 2 Punkte werden wir in nächster Zeit nicht mehr kommen.

Dejligt familievenligt hotel med god plads og godt staff. Havde all inkl - det eneste negative var at der ikke var stor variation af mad til morgen- middag og aftensmaden. Beskrivelsen af hvad det var for nogle retter manglede stort set altid og når der var beskrivelse matchede det ikke indholdet. Alt for meget svinekød så vi måtte stort set spise fisk hver dag og vegetarisk.

Schöne große Anlage mit modernem Fitnessbereich und vielen Pools. Unschön war leider das Personal an der Rezeption, es würde nicht gut beraten, kein herzlicher Empfang. Essen war insgesamt gut, aber nicht überragend. Insgesamt ein solides Resort. Die Animation war teilweise gut, teilweise nicht gut, da man beim Pilates Kurs lediglich ein YouTube Video präsentiert bekam und die Animateurin auch nicht mitmachte.

Es un 4* con todo incluido normalito. Es verdad que su precio es inferior a mayoría de TI de la isla, pero se nota: poca variedad en comida, aunque debo destacar que los platos 'calientes' estuvieron muy ricos (opción de pescado y carne recien hecha). Bebidas alcohólicas de muy baja calidad. Cocteles 'preparados' malos. Todo de grifo: no sólo refrescos, también zumos y VINOS! Por lo que el TI de bebidas se reduce a barra libre de cerveza.
Varias piscinas pero no muy grandes para la capacidad que tiene. En septiembre era dificil encontrar hamacas. No me quiero imaginar Agosto... Huye de la zona 1 y 2, donde la musica (especialmente regueton) está sonando a tope todo el día. Pide habitaciones en zona 3, más tranquila. PERSONAL muy amable: lo mejor del hotel. Bar de piscina siempre con colas y 1 solo camarero. Muy pocas opciones de comida fuera de horas (salchichas, hamburguesas, croquetas y napolitanas dulces). Divertida zona de chorros para niños. Se aparca facil en exterior. Recomendable la playa de Amadores y las dunas de Maspalomas (15-20 min en coche).
Tenían reservada una zona del restaurante para un grupo 'burbuja' extranjero y no gestionaron bien las mesas para el resto de turistas, con colas a horas tardías en las que la zona 'burbuja' estaba vacía.
Habitación amplia. Aconsejo planta baja por las 2 hamacas del porche. Para unos pocos días, puede ser suficiente. Para una estancia más larga, no lo recomendaría, salvo por la opción ajustada de su precio.

Barnevennlig, fint bassengområde, bra lekerom, ok leiligheter. Engasjerte aktivitører for barna. Barnedisco hver kveld, rett på utsiden av leiligheten, kl 20.30, i seineste laget. Annen underholding etter dette, svært mye støy, vanskelig for barna å sove.Vi hadde all inclusive, med buffetmat. Denne var skuffende.Frokost ok, lunsj og middag smakløs. Bråkete restaurant. Bra temperatur i noen bassenger, andre meget kalde, bl.a barnebassenget.

Fantástico hotel para un escapada de finde

Excelente hotel y servicio. Todo fue estupendo. La piscina y zona infantil de agua es pequeña pero el kids club era fantástico y nuestros hijos les encantaron. La habitación era bastante grande con un amplio balcón y grande baño. Repetiremos pronto seguramente. Gracias!

Lugnt hotell för äldre och barnfamiljer

Vi har tillbringat 10 dagar på The hotel Koala Garden och är nöjda med vistelsen. Vår lägenhet låg i block 2 och där fanns en uppvärmd pool ( 27 grader) som vi simmade i varje dag. Lägenheten hade terrass med solstolar, konstgräs.
Sängarna var supersköna och städningen bra, däremot kunde maten vara bättre vi hade all inclusive. Vi har bott på många ai hotell på Gran Canaria, 4-stjärninga och maten har då varit godare. Maten var smaklös och vinet inte så gott. Sista dagen lämnade vi hotellet kl 7:00 för att bege oss till flygplatsen, frukost serveras från kl 8:00 och därmed fick vi intet att äta innan vi åkte. Alla andra hotell brukar göra en frukostbox som man kan förvara i kylskåpet och äta på morgonen och när vi frågade i receptionen fick vi till svar att det var något de hade slutat med. Man har ju faktiskt betalat för mat och dryck till kl 12 dagen då man checkar ut.
På kvällarna fanns lite underhållning och samt en bar utomhus.
Långt till stranden men badbussar gick gratis från hotellet.

Struttura rinnovata recentemente, camere spaziose e pulite. Cibo inclassificabile chi scrive il contrario non oso immaginare cosa sia abituato a mangiare, persino a colazione non si sapeva cosa prendere!

hôtel calme avec de bonnes prestations

bon rapport qualité prix - avons séjourné dans une très grande chambre au calme - les cocktails en revanche ne sont pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles : il est préférable de consommer des apéritifs standards - manque de choix au niveau des desserts - nous recommandons cet établissement et sommes prêts à y retourner

Kjempebra hotell med meget hyggelig betjening og variert underholdning på scenen hver kveld med unntak av søndag. Absolutt value for money🏖😉Litt forskjellig standard på hotelldelen og apartementsdelen. Sistnevnte noe slitt mens hotelldelen fremstår meget oppdatert. Godt og variert mattilbud. Det at hotellet ligger ca 4km fra stranden kompenseres av mange fine og innbydende basseng. Et hotell som virkelig kan anbefales. Vi har vært der en gang tidligere og kommer gjerne igjen.🏖😁

Super fantastisk hotel, ærgerligt at Expedia ikke vidste at der er døgnreception, så vi måtte tilbringe første nat på et andet, meget dårligt hotel.
Alle anbefalinger til Koala Gardens, fantastisk personale, all inclusive fungerer perfekt og masser af underholdning til dem der gerne vil det

Trevligt hotell med småskalig känsla

Trevligt, nyrenoverat hotell med småskalig känsla runt några mindre pooler (uppvärmda och skyddade mot vind). Generös all-inclusive. Skulle man missa buffén vid lunch eller middag så fanns alltid hamburgare och andra lättare rätter i snackbaren mellan 10-23. Uppskattade den trevliga personalen som lyckades skapa en lugn atmosfär kring luncherna och middagarna, samt rekreationen \"next door\" (park för jogging, planer för basket och andra bollsporter. Perfekt för både familjer med små barn och äldre gäster.
