I’m disappointed with my stay at Hôtel Prince Albert Montmartre. Despite my reservation stating breakfast was included, I was told it only covered one person, even though I booked for two. The check-in process was unprofessional, with a 25-minute wait because the receptionist didn’t want to assist as her shift was ending. I was also informed by the hotel that there were no VIP perks, despite receiving an email from Expedia about them. To top it off, my room wasn’t cleaned and the towels weren’t replaced during my stay. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

The property was bare minimum with rooms that had the toilet in one end and the bathroom on the other side. To wash your hands after using the toilet you don’t have a wash sink in there.

Rooms were tiny. Front desk staff not communicating with each other well. We asked for one taxi and got two instead. Not very happy overall.

Property in a really artisan part of Paris where the locals make you feel very welcome and at home
Staff were fabulous especially one man who was so helpful- obviously he loved his job, however all were extremely accommodating.
Breakfast was a good continental range of meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, fruit, cereals and yogurt. More than enough to start the day.
Our room looked over the street with French windows that open to let in the air but not any noise. The room was clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Rooms were cleaned each day.
Supermarket nearby as well as local cafes and metro for visiting tourist attractions future afield. We walked to a lot around the area we stayed. Used uber too which let you see more and was very reasonable. Would suggest this for going to and from the airport.
Would definitely visit again.

I am impressed with Prince Albert Montmartre. I needed a reasonably priced accommodation in Paris for two nights before leaving for a Camino in southern France. Many properties in this area and central Paris generally are high priced. This property was priced better and it’s in a newly remodeled condition. There is no pool or spa or similar amenity, but I did not need or want that. I wanted clean, pleasant, and convenient to central Paris and I got that WTH a nice breakfast and a kind staff.

Good for the price; Early check in was not ready

Good location and condition for the price. TV is a bit outdated though. The hotel check in form had asked if we would like to check in early at 10 am and I had said yes. I received a response saying we could check in at 10am. Sadly, when we arrived at 10am we were asked to wait 30 mins which turned in to a little over an hour. I was hoping they wouldn't charge the whole 30 Euro but wasn't in the mood to fight.

I would recommend this place except for an issue that occurred that quite frankly made me feel unsafe, was inexcusable and a bad customer experience. On the morning of my checkout I went to buy train tickets. I was only gone for about 40 minutes and when I returned I still had over an hour until check out. I went up to my room to find two strange men in there. Apparently they were maintenance men, but as a female solo traveler this was a rather scary experience, considering I had my jewelry and laundry out and ready to be packed. When I went to ask the front desk about it they acted like I was being crazy for being upset that there were strangers in my room. This maintenance could have waited an hour for me to check out of the room, or they could have let me know that they needed access to the room when I spoke with the front desk staff and hour earlier. I hate to give this place a bad review because everything else was wonderful. But rude front desk, and safety and security issues ruined this experience for me.

We had an excellent stay at the Prince Albert Montmartre Paris. The hotel was in a great location, handy for the metro and quite a few local places to eat. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was modern and very clean, our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was great and the breakfast was one of the best buffet selections we have seen. All at a great price too. Highly recommended!

Americans need to get over the size of European hotel rooms. You should be using them to shower and sleep in, get out and enjoy the place you are visiting !!

This was a single room, just a little bigger than most cruise ship cabins I have been in. But the space was perfect. A comfortable, clean twin bed, a desk, a decent closet to hang clothes complete with safe, and still room to set large luggage on the rack provided. The bathroom was almost as big as the room because it was a handicapped accessible room.

Front desk staff was always great. It’s France, there was always a good morning and good evening when you come and go. One gentleman called a restaurant for us to get our reservations, and other called a cab when two Uber’s declined us.

It was a great area. Jules Joffrin and Lamarck–Caulaincourt metros nearby. Plenty of boulangeries, chocolate shops, and restaurants very close by. It was safe wandering the early morning markets as they set up and coming back around 10 pm.

I might suggest not taking a sixth floor room, although after the second morning I got used to it. Before sunrise, the pigeons begin to wake up and you can hear them move on the metal roof.

The elevator is actually large enough for six people or two Americans and their luggage.

Poor customer service but great value for money

Everything was great until checkout. I loved the location, the room, etc. however when it was time to checkout I was preparing for an on time departure. Unfortunately the staff began to harass me by calling and knocking on my door several times to tell me to leave even though it wasn’t 12pm yet. This was stressful and unnecessary. Even with the disruptions I was able to leave at exactly 12pm but the receptionist continued to yell at me for not leaving early! He said you can’t leave at 12, you have to leave before but he couldn’t tell me exactly what time he had expected me to check out. It was ridiculous. I have never been treated like this in any other hotel and I travel about twelve weeks a year. Aside from this man, the stay was lovely. When I emailed the hotel, the ignored me instead of apologizing.

The hotel is very old and only has about 30 rooms so the staff knows who you are. Each room has an individual ac unit which is nice. The windows also open to the patio areas. There is an obvious language barrier with the staff but they do their best to ensure you get what you need. Some reviewers say they are rude but I believe it to be the difference in languages.

The hotel is very clean, located near great little cafes, chocolatier shops, boulangeries and a pretty cool street market. Access is controlled so front desk has to buzz you in, which I imagine would be great for solo travelers. There's no mini-fridge in the room so bringing small breakfast/snacking items to eat isn't possible. The WiFi only works for 15 minutes at a time, after which you have to sign in again (it's supposed to stay on after clicking on the link provided but the link doesn't work). Laundry location is a quick 4 minute walk away. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel door and walking to the closest metro station takes 3 minutes.

Fabulous choice. LOVED the area. Easy access from metro and close to cafes and street vendors. Immaculately clean. Nicely appointed. The only \"downside\" would be for people who are light sleepers. Our \"balcony\" window was closed but street noise could make it difficult for some to get a good night's sleep. If you walk all around Paris like we did, though, exhaustion trumped the noised and we slept fine. Would highly recommend!

Lovely hotel, good location close to a Metro station and shops. The rooms were very clean, if compact and beds comfy with all the basic necessities. Very friendly, helpful staff who made us feel welcome and were very polite.

My only minor gripe is that I'd booked 'adjoining' rooms as we travelled as a family with two children 10 and under but the rooms were opposite each other instead. They were very close but I wasn't happy to leave the children in a room on their own so we had to split one adult and one child per room which was ok but I'd specifically tried to book somewhere we could all be together and my all my booking information said that it was adjoining rooms when they weren't. We still all enjoyed our stay there though.

The entire staff were capable and very experience staff members. I was able to contact the hotel from the airport and let them know that I would be arriving late after the check time and arrangements were made. I was also informed on arrival that there would be protest and where to stay clear from. Food recommendations and travel arrangements were provided for me as well during my stay. Staff would print or write instructions for me without hesitation. I was never lost. Transportation was nearby and also many of the cool sites were in walking distance. Be warned this is a part of Paris that seems to be on a hill. If you are walking, you should be mindful. My room was comfortable and I had a lovely balcony that I used on spring like afternoons. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Room was very small compared to how it is shown on the website. Air con unit did not work and when I asked the reception staff they told me it was switched off due to winter season. So we had to open the window if we felt hot and this caused it to be very noisy as there were roadworks going on in thia area. Bathroom tap was wobbly, think it needed repairing. Hotel is in a very good location, easy to travel from here to see the sights of Paris and good restaurants are within walking distance as well as metro stations.

The hotel was a wonderful landing place for our first nights in France— in the very interesting Montmartre district. Location fine. Room fine. Breakfast fine. But the thing that distinguished the Albert was the excellent staff— concierges par excellence— taxis called, reservations made, even dropped wallet brought to us at the restaurant they recommended for dinner. They made their hotel several stripes above any possible competition.

On our 4th and 5th night, there was no electricity and therefore, no air-conditioning. The hotel staff did not inform us as we enter the hotel. Only when we asked after finding out, they told us and offer no apology about it. The same thing happened on the 2nd night without electricity. We were sweating whole night and can't sleep at all.

The air con failed 2 out 3 nights there, with the drains in the bathroom stinking the room for the last night. We slept with the windows open to the street in order to mitigate the stench, with the noise from the traffic preventing sleep. The management took our money, offered no explanation and did not attempt to rectify the issues or offer us an alternative room. An expensive disappointment.

Perfect for a few days in Paris! I was staying to travel around Paris for four nights and it was an ideal base. Montmartre is so pretty and the metro makes it extremely easy to get around. My room had lovely Juliet windows with a view of the Sacre-Couer so it was just such an iconic view to wake up and go to sleep to. The bed was comfy, the room clean and the bathroom clean with a great shower. Highly recommend

Experienced 4 Front desk staff members during course of stay:
First very friendly and welcoming
Second efficient
Third did not even acknowledge us other than hitting button to open automatic door to allow entry
Fourth a little snippy

Great Experience and Great Location

The staff was very friendly and helpful but I just wish the bathrooms very a little bigger as it was really had to shower in those tiny cabins. Being from Canada I thought it was really hot and I needed the AC and the staff was more than happy to turn the system on for me.
