Cute Hotel, overlooking a vibrant neighborhood

Great location in Montemartre. Close to metro. Close to great restaurants. Excellent base for exploring Paris, and less than ten minutes to Sacre Cour. Rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is great, and they were very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were a bit small, but to be expected. The elevator broke on the last two days we were there, and the spiral stairs were a bit difficult to navigate with luggage. But they made up for it by offering to have it brought down for us. (We are able bodied and did not partake in the offer, but for some it would have been welcome)

An ideal hotel for exploring the Montmatre area. The staff were super helpful. Our bathroom was smaller than we’d have liked but the shower was plenty big enough and very good so the overall size wasn’t a problem. Bed was comfortable and it was all very clean and tidy.

Very small room. You have to walk up the stairs and through a very narrow hallway to get to the rooms. I didn’t really mind that though. The front desk clerk was rude for absolutely no reason. It’s so ugly to be mean to people that are doing nothing but bring you business. My husband asked if there was a restroom he could use while I did the check in and the clerk snapped at my husband and said « of course we have a toilet! This is a hotel! He was rude and seemed annoyed to have to check us in. We arrive at 4 PM so it was not even that late. He was a royal jerk the rest of the time.

They market the room as 172 sq ft but as you enter the room is only 10x10. Hardly any space to even walk. Worst place to stay. Never book with them. Stay away.

I recommend this Hotel

Very friendly staff, lots of restaurants around. Walking distance from Sacre Coeur, and main Montmartre sites. Strategically located near the highway to arrive relatively quick (~35 min) to CDG airport. We have been stayed in Les Jardins de Montmartre several times and we will stay again there if we are back to Paris.

Fantastic for travelling companions-Very unique!

At the end of a long road trip in Europe, the Jardins de Montmartre was the perfect hotel for two brothers. The unique provided each of us with our own bathroom, our individual very large twin bed, separate televisions, and a door separating our two half-rooms. A little privacy after a lot of time living closely!.. The room also had a coffee/tea maker and a safe. Moving around space was a bit limited but not a big issue. The bathrooms both had very large showers with ample hot water from the rain-forest fitting. Excellkent views of the street from one bedroom and from one shower!. The front desk was manned 24/7 and can provide wake up calls.
The beds were very comfortable with like-new linens.
The hotel is located near two Metro lines and near many cafes and restaurants.
Our very special room was replicated on at leastr two other floors.
I wholeheartedly recomend the hotel to any set of travellers who want a great place to share but with some individual services.

I arrived very early but still allowed to check in as the room had it just been prepared. Great Staff. Good travel links. Nice room.
If there was a minor criticism its the walk to the room at the rear of the property as it was not serviced by a lift, but that is almost irrelevant. The staff , location & facilities more than compensated for that. Also, on leaving I discovered a bus stop outside the hotel that services buses which take you to the main north & east stations in 10 mins.
I would stay again.

Bit tight space, but ok in general. There were a few negative points (lift not working, broken tissue dispenser in the bathroom, leaking air-conditioned), but in general an OK place.
The staff was gentle and helpful.
Would consider staying there again, should the price become a bit more attractive.

Paul at the desk was wonderful! Very helpful and kind. The rest of the staff were mildly helpful. There was a bad odor in our room which we brought to staffs attention and nothing was done. I went to the dining area to purchase 2 coffees and 2 full breakfasts were charged to my room. The woman in charged was very rude!

Wasnt a bad place to stay but didn't exactly wow, the room we stayed in had a bed and a shower/bath, and not alot else, definitely expected more considering the price, the location was good bus station right out front for easy transport and if your doing the tourist thing the open top buses run not far from here on the blue route, to get your into paris to see all the cool tourist bits. Probably wouldn't stay again, i just cant justify the price, the pictures made the place seem a lot nicer than it is. Should note though, the staff were excellent and super helpful

The staff at this hotel were all good. We had two of the smallest rooms. And they are SMALL! Bath is good enough. You can turn around in the shower AND in front of the sink. Double bed was very comfortable. There was a fan and a kettle w/tea & instant coffee.

Room 15 ..be slim and crab walk!

The room was bijou to say the least , it was a one bedroom room with a twin bed in if you were a crab , it was ideal as the only way to navigate was sideways , the door to the bathroom opened against the bed(more crabbing) the bathroom had a half side basin but the shower was good( needed a new shower rose head as it was coming out of the top) the beds were comfortable,good location,and if all you need is a bed a shower and a to ( 2 news channels) it wil do

Location is good, classic double room is very small, not sure if room was cleaned after 1st night of stay as glasses were not clean, waste basket full.
Requested wake up call and we were called 45 minutes before requested time. Booked a shuttle for the morning thru the hotel to airport and paid “hotel” share but shuttle never came at time requested. Reception was not in a hurry to find out what happened. Made our morning very stressful! We had to hail down a cab to get to the airport

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night because it is not too far from Moulin Rouge. The staffs weren’t friendly and very helpful. The room is clean. There was no air conditioner in our room, only a fan, which was not so comfortable in a warm night.

Hotel was great, staff on reception were friendly and helpful, Downside was breakfast - nothing was replenished, so once the scrambled eggs/bread etc were gone, that was it - breakfast staff had no concept of checking and keeping things topped up - certainly not worth 14 euros, as my partner could only have 2 pieces of toast.

My overhead shower did not work properly. It was flooding the corner of the shower. and was promised a room change, but that never happened. I had to use the hand held shower head. Besides that the front desk workers were absolutely amazing. Very informative especially the gentleman in the evening. My husband and I looked forward to seeing him in the evening to find new interesting places to go.

This hotel in good location for metro and scare coeur/Montmartre. Staff are so helpful, rooms comfortable and clean. Hotel changed our booking which was non cancellable for no extra cost. Second visit and will go again next year when we attend Roland Garros.

Pretty place on an excellent location close to subway, Montmartre and plenty of shops.
Rooms are nice but small (don't expect lager rooms for the same price in Paris, but still...)
The hotel including the rooms are poorly ventilated which can make them very hot and muggy on a summer day.

You automatically lose 1 star in my book if the housekeeping day after day doesn't respect the \"do not disturb\" sign written in 5 different languages.They are the people the sign is even there for so if you don't cover that on day one of training you need a better staff.
The room on the 5th floor had a slanted ceiling making 1/2 the room unusable for anything but storing a bag, so don't see the sq feet/meters of room size and assume you'll actually be able to use it. And the shower/bathroom was too small for a 6ft man (me) to reach even his feet to clean them without hitting both my knees and head.

Stayed for 2 nights, booked last minute online whilst travelling through Europe. Arrived to a warm welcome, able to leave bags in a secure room as we arrived early. Booked a twin room which instead of the standard side by side we each had our own spaces with a very well serviced ensuite each. Mini bar and tea & coffee facilities available and a tv for each person. Only 15mins into centre of Paris on metro - fantastic find for short stays. Extremely reasonable room rates.

Great location, really friendly and helpful reception staff. The room was a bit small and was quite warm (we had to sleep with window open) but it was clean and the bed was sooooo comfty, the shower was also lovely. Some great bars were within walking distance and I would definitely stay there again if I ever go back to Paris. Its a bit out of the centre of Paris but five mins walk from a metro station so really handy and doesn't take long at all to get into central Paris (about 10 mins on the metro). Sacre coeur is only about 15 mins walk away. Really pleased with our booking.

6 Days in Paris

The hotel was just as expected! We checked in around 11am and it was so smooth! The staff was great! Location is perfect. It's located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of little shops, bars and restaurants around. Zero complaints! The only thing I would say is that I wish that it was a little bit bigger but it was perfect size! We had a lot of bags so that's why it felt smaller. But overall I would stay again and for the price it's great. Highly reccomend!

Lovely hotel, friendly and welcoming staff

I love Montmartre and wanted somewhere close to there. We travelled via Eurostar and so wanted somewhere close enough to walk to from the Gare du Nord and this hotel was great for that. We arrived around three hours too early for our room but were able to drop off our bags for free. (This service was also offered when we checked out on our last day). The room was a decent size and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the shower room was spotless. We had fresh towels each day. All reception staff we encountered were lovely, very friendly and obliging.
Our room was on the top floor next to the lift which could have been a bit noisy if the hotel were busier but wasn't a problem for us.
We walked everywhere but there is a Metro station nearby if you don't want to walk. Lots of places to eat locally too if you don't want to go far in the evening.

The hotel is run by competent, friendly, helpful staff. It has a lift and our room could not have been any cleaner. It also had a (very pleasant) \"autumn\" motif. Where equipment is concerned everything we needed was there, even if it could be a bit tight to reach certain points. The hotel is in a very good location, with easy access to public transport (both buses and the metro). We found a choice of cafes and restaurants within walking distance, also banks, pharmacies and shops, even an open air market.

If there was a king size bed, you would literally just open the door and get on the bed, it was so tiny. Breakfast was delicioux! and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only other down side would be that even my boyfriend was scared to walk out at night(and he's not that sort of guy to ever say that). Otherwise a pleasant stay and a short walk from the underground to get to all attractions.

Previous reviews were misleading

The room was very small, which I expected from reading hotel reviews. However, those reviews said it was very clean, which is why I chose it, but our room was not. There was mold around the windows and in the shower.

The staff was very friendly and helpful but I would not stay there again.

Good location for getting around Paris

The hotel is in a nice area of Montmartre and in walking distance to the Metro station Jules Joffrin giving access to explore the rest of the city. Its a small but well kept establishment, the room we had was also small but clean and tidy and had coffee/tea making facilities. The room didn't have air-con so would I expect it to be extremely hot in summer months we even had to use the electric fan provided in the room in late September.

We didn't take breakfast - thought it was a little expensive and the small/compact dining area wouldn't have compensated for the price so we ate out at little cafes along the way instead.

Jardins de Monmartre is a lovely, friendly hotel located in the Artists District of Paris.
The room we had was tastefully decorated with a Spring theme. Roomy bathroom and bed. The Breakfast was very continental which made a nice change, but if you want a proper cup of tea in the mornings, you'll have to take your own tea bags as there was only fruit or green tea on offer. We got ours from the supermarket, about 10 minutes walk turning left out of the hotel. The supermarket has everything. You must visit Sacre Ceour, 10 minute walk up hill, turning left out of the hotel and first left then keep going straight, great views, shops and eateries. Overall a great hotel and good base.

fabulous stay herein august this year. vvery friendly helpful staff. room a bit small but this is the centre of paris and space is at a premium. had everything we needed.lots of shops and cafes nearby and a particularly lovely boulangerie just accross the road.this is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely be staying again.

Poor, Pathetic, Horrible experience.

Poor pathetic arrogant service. They forgot to book out airport shuttle and then literally said, \"sorry this is not our problem. It's yours\". I felt so agitated and lost. In a city where I don't speak the language, I was left to find another more expensive mode of transport to the airport. I would highly recommend that you given this place a skip. It's got a nasty smell in the corridors and overall experience left us feeling depressed about being in Paris.

We stayed for three nights and found the room to be a bit on the small side but very clean. The bathroom was also small but again very clean with a very good and powerful shower. All the usual tea and coffee sachets and even a piece of madeline cake which unfortunately was not replaced daily to my boyfriends disgust! Staff seemed helpful and were always on hand 24 hours. Overall, well worth the money and not too far away from the city centre (about 15 minutes on the Metro) Would stay here again without any hesitations. Just a quick note, one cost that isn't included on the website is the city tax but this is only 1.10 Euro per day which you pay at the end of your stay.

I was in Paris for four days. The first three I spent near metro Place Monge which was conveniently located (basically in Paris city center) & not too off the beaten path. I had decided ahead of time that I wanted to spend one night in Montmartre to be close to Sacre Coeur and the beauty of this part of Paris. If you're looking for that ambiance, this place is not it. It's not super close to the picturesque part of Montmartre and in lack of a better way to put it...it's not the best part of town. As a solo female traveler, I did not feel comfortable walking at night. On top of that, the hotel concierge didn't have my reservation on hand right away and they weren't overly welcoming. Lastly, my shower door barely opened and the bathroom in general was super tiny. I've stayed in Paris 3 other times and been in better locations and had better accommodations for the price...so I say skip this and stay somewhere else.

Easy to get to the Metro

No A/C was definitely a negative for me, if I leave the windows open there is a lot of noise to contend with. The staff were really great and made it an enjoyable stay. The neighborhood is ok, dirty but, ok. I never felt unsafe and didn't experience The Cliché about the \"rude or arrogant' French person, that was not my experience. Overall a great place to stay, just make sure they have A/C if you desire it. In addition, don't take room 3, the door right outside the room opens and closes with a bang all morning long.

Modern Hotel In Great Part of Paris

This hotel was great -- I think it was recently updated and for the price, it was much more than we anticipated! It's modern, bright, and has all the amenities you'd expect. I stayed with my mom and we were expected two twin beds, but instead we had a sort of suite room with two small rooms, two bathrooms, and full sized beds.

It was a great location, accessible and walkable to the Sacre Couer (albeit a bit of a long walk).

I highly recommend!!

We had a very pleasant time at this hotel. The room wasn't very big but the bed was extremely comfortable, the decor was good and the hotel was very clean. It was however, very warm and air conditioning would have been very welcome. There was a reasonable choice for breakfast and the only criticism we had was the size of the dining room. Overall we were very pleased and it was a great base to see Paris. We would definitely rec ommend this hotel.

Good location

The hotel rooms are small and the way up to my rooms included two flight of stairs. There was no elevator. I had to carry my luggage myself as there was no service to assist with this. Imagine me struggling with three suitcases and getting through a small corridor to get to my room. The room was comfortable, modern with decent space to move around. There are no king or queen beds only twin so my husband and I had to settle for two beds put together. I taught wow!!!! I am in Paris this is supposed to be romantic and it did not seem so.
Although I had booked the room way in advance when I got there I was told the room is not ready so I had to go to another hotel for the night. I had to walk three blocks to the next hotel. I was disappointed and taught to myself that I will stick to the American name hotels in the future when I travel.

overall good value

initially expedia had booked hotel with only one bed for my daughter and I , but this was fixed by expedia and we got a room with two double beds that was really for four people. it was great! a lot bigger than expected for Paris. bathrooms were clean. There was construction during first 3 days so had paint smell and reception desk was a makeshift desk. however, the room, the friendly receptionist, and location more than made up for the construction. I thought the breakfast was good, although it is an additional charge. It is about a 20-30min metro ride to museums. Metro within 5-7min walk. bus stops outside hotel. Good restaurants in area. I would stay here again

Small but Comfortable

The hotel rooms are very small, but overall comfortable and clean. The daily breakfast was simple but nice. The hotel is located very close to the metro that gets you at the best sights in Paris within 20-30 minutes. Overall, for the price, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Quite pleased

Chose hotel mostly for complimentary buffet breakfast offer which is rare for Paris. Room and eating areas small, which is ordinary for Paris. Convenient to Metro, neighborhood restaurants, and many food shops which serve native residents. Less of a tourist area which I found nice. Had room which was very quiet at night.

Think twice about staying here

I was extremely disappointed to be given a standard twin room when I checked in for my reservation. When I pushed back and requested the superior room that I paid for, I was told I could not have that room until the next night. When I asked to be refunded the price difference between the standard room and superior for the single night, it was refused. Overall, the hotel is pretty mediocre, more disappointing is the terrible service. Be cautious staying here. I won't do it agin and won't recommend anyone else stay there either.

It's just not all that!

The description is accurate - the room has all the amenities described but fitted so tightly into the extremely limited space of the room, it's impossible to enjoy them! I found no charm in the Muzak in the hallways from morning until night most days (but not all - what's that about?). The breakfast is adequate: cereal; hard boiled eggs; pastries; apple sauce (is this a Parisian thing?!). The neighbourhood, however, is shocking: of an evening, the short walk to/from the nearest Metro passes numerous gentlemen selling roasted corn on the cob from shopping trolleys (yes, really!) and sizing up any unescorted females. I'm a hardened, middle-aged city dweller and, even on my husband's arm, I felt uneasy. The hotel is doing its best in a particularly unpleasant setting but we left early, lost money and will never go back.

Nice hotel the perfect distance from Montmarte

We loved it here. We're big walkers, and each day walked the 3 miles to the Seine and big sight seeing places, otherwise could happily wander into Montmarte without having to stay right there in the midst of the craziness. The neighborhood was perfect for us, lots of patisseries and charcuteries to buy picnic stuff, and great bars and cafes at night. The staff was super friendly especially in light of our bumbling french, and the breakfasts were plentiful. Super clean. Will stay here again for sure.

Great little hotel for a City visit

e were very pleased with our stay. The reception staff were really helpful on two occasions. I sometimes wonder what people expect for what they pay. For a city stay it more than adequately suited our purpose. We did have a giggle at the breakfast room as it was so small but when you consider breakfast was free then no complaints, the breakfast was great, we do not like english style cooked breakfast and it was clean and we like that style of breakfast and there was plenty. The room was bright and airy with a good sized shower with an outside window in the shower room, that is a novelty as I have stayed in 5star without a bathroom window. The chamberlady did forget to 'do' our room one day, however as soon as I rang reception someone arrived. I would use this hotel if I come to Paris again. Metro is very near and it is so easy to go anywhere via Metro. One little gripe it would have been nice to have 1 or 2 English channels on the TV. A tip for Paris visitors, buy the Paris transport card worth its weight in gold, and there is a little bus to montmartre on the corner which was brill. Perhaps not the best for smaller children under 5.

We found this hotel to be really pleasing. It was clean, close to the metro, places to eat etc and someone was always there if we wanted to ask questions. The breakfast was very good, with a range of crossaints and food. It was overall a great place to stay and value for money.

Good hotel to stay when visiting Paris

The hotel is fairly clean, closed to Metro station, and provides excellent breakfast.. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. I definitely come back to this hotel and strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Paris.
