Lovely hotel, very comfortable. The only issue was that the foot of the bed was very close to the wall where the TV was mounted, which wasn't ideal. Otherwise, very happy, great central location. Breakfast was good, wide selection but I think it could be improved by having juices available, in addition to the smoothies.

Loved staying here. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a convenient location in Oslo. The breakfast was surprising, because there were about thirty options, and all very high quality. The dinner was quite tasty with a variety of dishes. The room was quite comfortable and the bathroom was separated into two rooms, and even had a bathtub. Wonderful experience!

The check in was poor which we found in a previous Home hotel. We were offered a poor room with no light despite paying for a superior room. The kettle had a strange deposit inside and had to be changed. Breakfast was good. Evening meal is useful if basic. The rooms are dark and past their best. For some reason the fridge was in a box about 5ft off the ground.

Three nights in Oslo….

Really comfortable room about 5 min walk from Oslo central train station. Clean room, and the bed was amazingly comfy. Very central, tram stop just outside. 10-15 min walk to waterfront depending on how fast you are. Very small self serve restaurant with limited choice (especially if you have dietary reqs) but food we had was very good. Internet access free and no need to register etc. would definitely stay there again.

The Hotel is very nice overall. It was interesting that they include breakfast, afternoon snack and dinner. Our room was very comfortable but very dark. Even with the sun not going down till after 11. The staff could not have been better. So, overall we would suggest considering this hotel.

This hotel had the most fantastic breakfast I have ever seen. It wouldn't make a difference where you were visiting from there was something and more for you to enjoy. Then after the fantastic breakfast they had a lovely afternoon tea followed by a full dinner. YES, you read that right, they serve dinner and it is all part of the price you pay for your room!
The location of the hotel was wonderful and we could walk to so many different areas. Staff were all very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Oslo!

Hotel is in a great location- everything was walkable. The room and bed were very comfortable. The dinner was very good, but the breakfast was perhaps the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. It was completely quiet in the room which was wonderful. Only slight inconvenience was low water pressure in the shower. Excellent value in an expensive city. I would stay there again!

Property was clean and the bathroom exceptionally nice but the room itself was poorly lit—by design, I believe. There was no overhead lighting over the bed or by the chair (except for a dim floor lamp) so the bed area could only be used for sleeping. By each side of the bed was a tiny light and one was not working.


Instead, I sat in the lobby and enjoyed the free coffee and tea. Otherwise, the hotel was good value for the money with a nice breakfast.

Good location. Friendly staff. Room was quite small but fine. Bathroom good.

Bit strange it had reading lights beside the bed but they only worked if you have all the lights on in the room.

Great included breakfast. Evening meal a good bonus.

The BIG negative was the very loud music playing till 3am at one point I thought Justin Bieber was in my room it was so loud.

Would I recommend this hotel, yes but ask for a high room away from the noise. Zero sleep for me.

This was the first hotel we stayed in on our 10-day trek through Norway. Staff were very nice and helpful when we had questions. The room was very clean and modern! This hotel is perfectly located near enough to touristy attractions by foot or via the super convenient public transit in Oslo.

Very noisy outside. Was very hot in the room (no AC) so had to open window for any ventilation. Outside, it was like a new years eve party until 3:30 am both nights! We heard glass being broken and just non-stop parties.

Old hotel in need of renovation. The first room they gave us was dark and lights did not work properly so they moved us to a nicer room. The hotel was near the train station good for moving around but the area is dirty and not so nice. Breakfast was ok

We were extremely happy with our stay at this hotel. Best breakfast of 4 weeks touring holiday. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved the added bonus of afternoon tea and dinner meal. The food quality and variety was great. Saved us worrying about where to go for dinner.

This was the most awful hotel I have EVER stayed at, mind you, I travel full time for my career. The room overlooked a disgusting area, that is blocked off in main area windows…the whole place felt dirty and old. As well the room had NOWHERE to put a full size suitcase other than your bed or the floor. The elevators were both out intermittently over my 1 day stay there. The rooms were dark & smelled of smoke.Even the lobby, where I hung out to get away from my room was filthy & unkempt.

The hotel is an easy walk from the train station where you arrive from the airport. Breakfast was generous. Evening meals varied in quality, but were very convenient, especially, the first night when you arrive jet lagged and exhausted. Serving staff for the dinners were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was generous in size with a sitting room and balcony.

Nice hotel, amazing food, best we’ve had in years!

I think this was one of my favorite hotels from the last few years. The location was right near the train station and the opera house. (although don’t follow the maps on an iPhone, it brought us down a back alley.) The rooms were nice and clean, and they even upgraded us and left flowers for me! The staff went above and beyond, without getting in our way. But the best selling point of this hotel was completely absolutely all of the food, breakfast could have fed us for the entire day alone, but there was also afternoon snack as well as a “light supper. I don’t know who that would be light for, because we were all stuffed. And we’re not talking fries or burgers, but quality tasty food. ( even good salad and soup options !) Can’t say enough, I would definitely stay here again!

The room was quite small but clean, warm and functional. The bath was great! There is no kettle in the room but a free coffee machine in reception whenever you want it. The breakfast was amazing - everything and more you could want. Fika at 3pm is a piece of cake and access to the coffee machine in the lounge and the evening meal was plentiful - always a soup starter, choice of main and 3 different salads and bread. It really saves a lot of money being half board in a capital city. Staff were friendly, our only issue was that on one day we wanted to order a packed lunch which is advertised at breakfast but 2 members of reception staff said they didn't know anything about it/ it was not possible. We just went and got food for our trip at the 7/11 shop on the corner so not really a big problem. Overall a 5 * stay.

Nice hotel, no parking and lack of few standards.

Hotel in great location walking distance from Oslo central station and nearby tourist attractions. Fantastic breakfast choices and a great dinner buffet included in the price. The downside of it was being rated as a 4 star hotel had minimal standard of any hotel fot the price being chargefd like the lack of any bottle of water in the room. If you arrive in the evening and nearby supermarket being closed and you need drinking water, then you are stuck till next day. Also if you plan to leave your luggage in the storage, it will be at your own risk as others will have access to storage and can easily walk out with your luggage without any proper checks in place by the receptionist. They literally let anyone walk in the storage as there are no tags of your room number or your name. Room is clean so is the hotel

Highly recommend!

The breakfast buffet was incredible and the option to do a light dinner and fika was great for us. The hotel offers some great options for self service, but the staff is fantastic if you need more help.
We loved all the art in the lobby, would have loved to see a show at the theater if we had timed our visit to coincidence with a show.
The location was also very convenient.

We arrived early in the morning and was lucky to be served by Dag who was the most hospitable staff you can ever find. We managed to settle down earlier with his kind assistance and this made alot of difference for the the rest of the day. Thank you for the great service rendered!

Aside to the great staff we have met, the hotel location is very close to the train station and it is easy to access various tourist attractions such as the Vigeland Park, the opera house from the hotel. The room was clean and had adequate facilities. We stayed for 1 night so that was just sufficient for a good night's stay.

We didn't managed to try the full board dinner but the breakfast was great. There was a good spread of food which was better than the breakfast from previous hotel chains we have stayed in.

Overall, it was a value for money place to stay with great breakfast, convenient location and good service.

This hotel is in a very central location - just 3 minutes walk from Oslo S (central station). The property is quite interesting, within the historic theatre. I enjoyed my stay here, in particular the fabulous breakfast buffet and the room it was served in. The fika (cake and coffee time) on the seventh floor terrace/lounge was also a wonderful perk of staying here and I liked the lobby lounge as well, where you could help yourself to coffee or tea at any time. The hotel felt very secure (you can't access the floors without a key card). I did feel that the room I was in seemed a little \"tired\" - the bathroom seemed to have been recently refurbished so perhaps the rest of the room will be next?

Good location. Tram/bus stop right in front of hotel. Train station is two blocks away. Many other attractions within walking distance. Good internet speed.
Breakfasts are superb and the evening meal is certainly worthy, if not spectacular. Definitely keeps the eating out costs down. Didn't try the afternoon tea/dessert.
No air conditioning at this place and Oslo is having a warm summer. No shelf space in the bathroom. Saturday nite a band was thumping well past midnite and made sleeping difficult. Something to consider if you're a light sleeper. All in all, I'd stay here again.

Lovely stay, great friendly staff

Was met by a very friendly receptionist who was great to deal with, had a pleasant chat and was made to feel very welcome. An evening meal was offered in the top floors as well a great breakfast which made someone with little appetite eat plenty of food. Was also very happy to see milk alternatives in the breakfast bar. Room was nice and clean and very comfortable. Would definitely like to come back.

Very nice hotel to stay at in Oslo. 5 minutes easy walk from Oslo Central Train Station. We arrived in the morning and Vasif at the front desk was able to check us in right away, rather than waiting until 3 PM (thank you very much!). Breakfast buffet is great, all kinds of food are available. Very roomy breakfast hall. Room had two sub-rooms, both a bit small, but we did not have any issues with it. Dinner meal was included with our stay, as well as 3:00 PM coffee/cake treat. Dinner was ok, considering that it could easily save you $80-100 if you decided to eat out in Oslo. Hotel is situated in the Folk Theater lobby. Great statue in front of the hotel entrance. Opera House, Munch Museum, Parliament, King's Palace are within 10 minute walk from the hotel. Excellent experience over all, we recommend this hotel for staying in Oslo.

If you are a city dweller, this hotel is for you. Reasonably priced and includes an amazing breakfast, fika and light dinner. Room was a little hot so they brought in a fan which worked awesome! I brought my own cheap coffee maker for the room so I wouldn't have to keep walking downstairs for morning coffee. Just left it when I checked out. Overall area is in the heart of Oslo which is completely walkable with many forms of transportation, bike, scooters, train, tram etc... Note if you rent a car, know that the parking garages are extremely expensive. We only rented a car for a couple days to go to the south coast and when we got the first $40 USD bill we turned it back in.
