The laundry room had a terrible smell in it so we didn’t feel we could use it sadly. One of the main reasons we booked to stay here. The kitchen area was OK but there was a problem with the hob so we couldn’t really cook.

The reception/cafe area was lovely, the staff were an absolute delight. The room was fine, small but ok.

The room wasn’t cleaned well, dirty tissues on the floor. The plug sockets were hanging off the wall, missing items from the wall and wallpaper missing. There’s no where to store clothing/items so anymore than one/two nights would be hard work.

The staff are nice and helpful and the location is very good but this is a hostel not a hotel.

The rooms are very small, basically it’s a step up from a hostel or B&B. Great location but the rooms are very basic and if someone sneezes in another room you will hear them because of the thin walls.
Staff were very friendly but if you can afford to spend a bit more to stay elsewhere for the comfort I would .
Unfortunately for me it was New Years Eve so this was the only place available .

This hotel is clearly not a hotel but a hostel with a few hotel rooms. There was constant noise through the night (and we stayed on a Monday and Tuesday evening) and we got very little sleep. Staff on arrival were not particularly friendly in fact I would go as far as to say they were passive aggressive at best. The room was clean and functional but cold with ineffective heating controls that did nothing to warm the room. It is located very centrally and close to most of the attractions that Oslo has to offer, and is great if you want to stay in a hostel but not good for anyone expecting a hotel.

Stayed in a deluxe double room on 5th floor and it was modern, spacious and bright, with high ceilings, with a large bathroom. There was a small issue with the seal on the shower which meant water leaked out. The beds were really comfortable and we slept very well. Some noise from the Dubliner bar across the road on weekend nights meant it was loud even with window closed. Would be an issue for light sleepers. Room was not cleaned for the 4 days we were there (this was communicated in advance). Not an issue for us but could be for others. Some minor room issues like lightbulbs being broken, visible dust on wooden floors around the beds. A deeper clean may be needed between stays. Only dealt with staff when checking in and out and they were friendly, as well as cleaning staff in corridors who welcomed us. Communal reception areas were clean and cosy. We were able to leave bags when arriving and room wasn’t ready, as well as after check out. The location is great and just a few minutes walk to main central sights. For a private room, this price was very reasonable. A lot of the poorer reviews refer to dorms, which we did not stay in. Would not hesitate to stay here again based on the great value for money.

Stayed i an economy standard room AT AUD250 per night, quite expensiv. Room was cramped, no drawers cupboards, bed lamp not working even though reported as faulty as soon as we booked in,. Not repaired 3 nights later when we booked out.Awkward access to room. Curtain torn. Other rooms may be better for all I know but probably the worst r00m I have stayed in. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and did their best.

The amount that the hotel charged me was very different (by >$300) from that specified in the reservation email I received from hotel.com. When I raised the issue with the hotel, they asked me to take it to hotel.com, which doesn't even offer an easy-to-access phone number on their website. Very disappointed.

The location is good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. But, the hotel itself, given the high price, is terrible. Lack of such basic items like shampoo and tissue paper (there is toilet paper and body wash, and that's all). No room service either. Outrageously expensive for such low quality. Will not recommnd unless this lack of amenities is a norm in Oslo.

200 USD per night for hostel quality place. Service is terrible.

So bad that we left a day early.

Room doesnt lock properly and we told the reception on day 3, yet they havent fixed it.

Room was not cleaned for first 3 nights. We asked at reception and they said \"you should know you have to ask\" in a condesending manner. Well Im sorry I dont know that you have to ask if you call yourself a hotel. Needless to say they didnt clean the room for the next day despite us asking. Had to ask again and they mopped and cleaned the bathroom. However they didnt make the beds.

Rooms are smaller than internet photos make you believe. Clean on the surface but filthy if you lift anything. There is blood stains on the bunk bed mattresses.

I wish I could give this property five stars. But just can’t. It has a great location. The staff was awesome. There are laundry facilities in the building and a small kitchen that were great. However all this was overshadowed by the fact that our first bed was rock hard and I informed the guy at the front desk the next morning as I was unable to sleep. He was really great and put us in another room. Unfortunately, the new bed was only marginally better. I did fold the mattress pad in half so that we could have a bit more padding. But it was still really hard. The pillow could not be used for cushioning as it was like the density of a bolt of felt fabric and absolutely no help. As a result, during our six day stay we hardly slept and ended up quite exhausted. Sadly, the view out our window was of a Temporapedic bed store. I considered volunteering to sample the beds each night. Some people say that Europeans just have hard beds but this was ridiculous. You should not have to stretch for hours every morning just to walk around. We are not large people and each of us is under 130 lbs. not sure why this is an issue. We both ended up sick and this was I’m sure exacerbated by the lack of sleep.

A comfortable bargain

This is a college dorm, not a resort hotel. I liked that fine. It kept the cost a bit lower.

Like lots of European cities, Oslo is set up for walking and public transportation, not private cars. Which makes this hotel perfect. It's in the middle of town, within a mile on foot from all sorts of attractions. It's also within a mile of the ferry that can take you to Bygdoy, which has all the museums. You can also reach Bygdoy by bus, but preferred to pay for a short harbor cruise.

Vigeland Sculpture Park was my favorite thing, but seemed to be about 2 or 3 miles away, further than I was willing to walk. I hadn't figured out the busses, so my wife and I took a cab.

Oslo isn't cheap. It has always been expensive. My uncle reported that my grandfather wouldn't eat when he went back to visit in about 1960. He like the food of his childhood and could afford it. He just felt that it was too expensive. Maybe that's why he moved to the US in the first place.

This was a complete barebones room.
The size was equivalent to all other European rooms we’ve stayed in- but basic things were missing… like a place to sit, other than the bed. Actual night stands. Or a simple electric kettle (which would have been nice given breakfast wasn’t an option.)

Pros: la ubicacion es excelente. Está a minutos caminando de los principales puntos de interes, y conexion con medios de transporte. A 10 minutos caminando de la central de Oslo. Staff sumamente amable, ayudan en todo y siempre de buen humor y con una sonrisa. (GRACIAS POR SU HOSPITALIDAD! ;) ) Siempre hay alguien presente, lo que nos permitió hacer el check in a las 00 hs. Si bien no tienen restaurante, ofrecen la posibilidad de usar una cocina para preparar tu comida o poder comer allí comida comprada (solo piden a cambio que dejes limpio los elementos que usas. Cuando los huespedes lo hacen, funciona perfecto y encuentras todo ordenado y limpio. Hazlo por favor, para que todos los huespedes lo encuentren como tú lo encontraste!). Tienen laundry a un costo de 20 nok el lavado y 10 nok el secado. Tambien tienen bebidas para comprar. Puedes desayunar allí básico por las mañanas o sino encontraras varias cafeterías en los alrededores.
El hotel es silencioso. Buen descanso.
Cons: la limpieza es un punto a mejorar. No hacen limpieza diaria. Solo te retiran la basura cada 3 dias y te ofrecen toallas secas. Seria bueno que hagan limpieza al menos cada 2-3 dias. El ascensor se descompone seguido, seria bueno que hagan mantenimiento, ya que hay habitaciones en el 6to piso. Las escaleras tambien necesitan limpieza.

Para nosotros es vital la ubicación del hotel para no perder tiempo desplazandonos, por lo que la evaluacion general es muy positiva. Gracias por su atención!

Terrible hotel, other than the staff and breakfast, I would say this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. No AC, room looked like a small closet that was transformed into a bedroom. Stayed on the 6th floor, very dangerous, unlocked balcony door, no lock or knob to secure it, led straight out to the roof extremely dangerous for a child or an intoxicated person. All night from around 8pm to after 5am, we heard constant loud music/bass coming from across the street. This must be the norm because no police showed up to control the noise. Loud cars and motorcycles revving through the street. It was terrible sleep, the pillows and blankets we slept on smelled like they had not been changed, like someone left their face grease on them. Disgusting, the only good thing was the staff, very friendly and professional and the breakfast was good.

What I liked most about K7 is the spacious room. We traveled as a family of 3 and the room we got was spacious. For those of you traveling with a car—the hotel does not have on site parking. There was also a community kitchen for guest use. Overall nice stay.

Everything was good until your elevstor broke. We were on 6th floor and had to climb up and down which is very exhausting as the floorwe’re at is high. The day we were leaving we have to carry two Large luggage down the stairs to the lobby along the winding stairs and it was dangerous if we slipped a step. Not a good accomodation at this point.

Just need a bed and a shower when on a vacation to see the sites- this fit the bill. Easy walk to bus/train terminal to get around the city- public transportation gets you anywhere pretty easy. They had a common area with fridge/stove/microwave etc. so you could do breakfast or late dinners on your own. Staff was great- very accommodating. No frills but good bed and clean. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a walkable location and the room and bathroom were bigger than most places I booked in Norway. I believe the building is both a hotel and a hostel based on some of the signage. Unfortunately, I was not able to do an early check-in, but they have a room where you can store your luggage at your own risk. Breakfast is an add-on and it was an okay breakfast - most items were gone first thing in the morning. I felt safe staying here, with the exception that the door doesn't have a traditional lock on the inside, it's a button, so sometimes I couldn't tell if the door was locked since I was unfamiliar with that set up. Otherwise, I think the hotel is good for its price.

Overall a good stay. We had a large corner suite with a private bathroom. Apparently this hotel is also an upscale hostel with small rooms w/o bathrooms. The bed was very comfy and our son enjoyed his bunk bed. Nice decor and staff. The included breakfast buffet and dining space was very nice. Also, the location was close to the waterfront, many attractions and restaurants. The only issues were the street noise was quite loud (rowdy people and loud cars) and that the room was low on air circulation. Most of the windows did not open and no A/C during record temperatures made it hard to sleep.

A prefect city hotel for Oslo first-timers

Great location in the heart of city, easy and gentle 10 mins walk from the central train station. The blue Tram 12 one block away will take you to many major attractions. While the room is small and tidy, there is plenty space to relax in the hotel foyer and the kitchen/ lounge areas. The hotel feels very youthful and the buffet breakfast is brilliant, good range of food specially the salad and cakes, a good balance of healthy eats and tasty treats!!

The Saga was adequate but seemed more like a hostel than hotel. The room was very bare bones, no closet, tv did not work and no way to lock the door from the inside (that we could figure out). There was also no printed hotel info in the room or landline. $220 seemed very expensive. On the plus side, it was clean and in a good location. Parking was not free but discounted- sort of.

It is actually a very nice hostel. There is a kitchen downstairs, so you can prepare meals, a very needed item in Norway because of the ridiculous price of food. We had a bathroom with our room, but they also had rooms with shared bathrooms. The staff was fabulous with advice and help. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was plentiful and varied.

The location of the hotel is good, walking distance from Oslo Central Station and major shopping and cultural areas.
The hotel itself is dark, with dark corridors and push-button doors on each floor.
The rooms are very basic but clean and reasonably comfortable, however, don't expect any basic nice touches such as anything on the sparse round table or a kettle or coffee facilities.
The beds are narrow, two single beds approx. the same width as a standard pillow was not what I was used too. However, with the exception of keeping losing the duvet to the floor every hour or so, they were relatively comfortable.

Nice hotel, good room size and good breakfast selection. Central location, less than a ten minute walk from the central railway station. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be a good addition.

The hotel had a very relaxed yet upscale vibe. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Smaller then expect based on images but it was still comfortable and fitting for our needs.
