Great location, on main walking street, easy excess to tram system. A little hard to find, you need to walk into any alcove and the signage is hard to see, but once you find it nice hotel. Friendly staff. Great restaurant across the way Cafe Cathedral.

Unfortunately i felt that has at breakfast a lot industrialized products. No warm milk or close placd to do so. I'd read about the noise in the night because a club around the area, but I'd thought was on the weekends only. Disturbing to sleep until 100am. Bed on compact double room against the wall so inconvenient to rest. A kudos only to the front desk stuff, professional, friendly and always helpful. The room tv, one channel in english not pleasant yo watch. No netflix.

Affordable city stay

We stayed for one night in a standard room which was small but comfortable. Breakfast was very busy due to the large number of business guests staying, but breakfast was otherwise fine. Great central location with easy check in/check out. Only downside was the luggage room was away from the reception desk and felt slightly insecure to leave bags in (although we had no trouble in the end).

This is a great hotel located centrally and cheap in comparison to other hotels in Oslo.
We booked a compact room but when you look at photos it appears to be signage over the bed and a more room. We stayed in a room with a wood beam over the bed on one side so I actually couldn’t sit up in bed and had to crouch down to get in to bed. There is also no amenities - no fridge, kettle, nothing.
Housekeeping only attend on request.
It’s a cheaper hotel in Oslo, staff are lovely and centrally located but for a little bit extra you can get a lot more comfort.

Very Small cold room that was noisy all night. First it was a constant sound of running water, not sure if that was the a/c heating or just water pipes. Then the noise from the pub kicked in. What a night!
Heating only allows you to add ‘3’ to what must be predetermined heat but it was cold….and usually I don’t feel the cold in hotels..

huge cracks in the ceiling which looked quite concerning

I found the reception staff not very helpful and distracted when I was speaking to her.

I think they are trying to be trendy and hip but have lost the essence of a good hotel. Why have a chair that is uncomfortable to sit in and bedside ‘cabinets’ which hold nothing.

Breakfast was, however good apart from the shocking coffee

Very nice hotel, it’s in a great location. There is free late checkout on Sundays till 6pm which is amazing. Make sure to let staff know when checking in so they can apply it to your room card. Close to main train stations and other transport links. On the shopping street and easy to get to other attractions as well by walk. Breakfast buffet was very good, limited veg options but still very delicious. Hotel was great and staff were friendly.

Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Stayed three different days during our trip. Mostly for familiarity and ideal location. Only issue was last day. Signs everywhere say check out is at noon. However, at 11, your key card is turned off. Almost lost our stuff! Also, one of the staff walked in on us changing to “change a battery” and did not want to leave even though we said she could not come in. Made for a very awkward moment.

Excellent location. The hotel has easy access to shopping, dining and tourist attractions. I liked the vibe when you checked in.. The receptionist welcomed us nicely and kind..such a sweet lady.. The free dining offered is superb.. All the staff are helpful except for one evening receptionist who I think needs to improve her customer service attitude.. Shout out to Lena and Andra in the reception, Marichu and Maria in the dining and Yahu housekeeping. They did a very good job to keep the guests comfortable and had wonderful stay..Very well recommended hotel to stay..

It is the first time for me, who has travelled for over 30 years, to stay in a hotel room that did not have a phone to connect with the front desk. For any requirement or information, we needed to go down to the ground floor. There were hardly any amenities except for towels and toilet paper, and liquid soap. Could not connect our devices to the TV. The beds were not comfortable, and the family room we stayed in was extremely congested. Not enough room to store luggage to hand our clothes. The buffet breakfast that was offered as part of the stay was the only plus I can say about this hotel. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN

Downside: you have to go grab towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. by yourself in the front desk. There is no cleaning service everyday. Overall good value for money

The room was very small indeed, for a short stay and traveling with rucksacks only you could manage. The breakfast was quite impressive, I would enjoy having more pastries though , especially some local ones, there were only small croissants which were very tasty but as I said I would be happy with some Norwegian pastries. The coffee was absolutely horrible, there’s no proper coffee machine at breakfast only their own batch brew coffee which is bad. Other than that the breakfast was really good, plenty of choice with fresh vegetables and fruits. It’s also nice there’s a possibility of having hot tea as there’s a facility for that by the reception. The location of the hotel is perfect and our room was quiet- I asked for a quiet room when booking.

Decent bed covering

Provide decent sheets, together with blankets and winter quilts for sleeping in the bed (not at all those useless duvets). I make the effort in my house of sleeping without any kind of heating in winter, and that can only be done using several layers in the bed to sleep in. It is unbelievable that while I do that, a hotel in Norway in November does not, and obliges to use heating not to be cold: you ask for blankets and they don't have at all! Use clothes for that! Not energy! This policy is completely against the environment!

It was a birthday trip & on my birthday. The hotel left treats & a birthday note in our room, which was a nice touch.
On our last night (thursday) a bar was playing drum & bass until 1am, the bass ran through the whole room, buzzing the walls. Like a too loud stereo in a car (obviously not the hotels fault) but glad we were not saying over a weekend, as I would assume it would mean... no sleep

Check-in staff friendly but offer no advice or tips about the city/area.
I know this is a budget hotel but no room cleaning during stay seems to be taking 'budget' to the next level.
The breakfast service is very busy. We always had to hunt for somewhere to sit and there was always a queue for the food.
The food was plentiful and nice but I like breakfast to be a relaxing experience and here it is not.
There is a Bar/Bistro but they only serve burgers!
The location is fantastic, 5 minutes walk from train station and right in the heart of the city.

Room door latching mechanism needed adjustment. Opening the door from inside or outside required unreasonable push on the door to unbind the latching mechanism. In an emergency, very easy for room occupants to become trapped.

Breakfast was very good but the seating area is not big so can be a challenge, particularly later in the morning when the place is very busy. Luggage storage is problematic as there is very limited space. Room is not controlled and we saw a literal mountain of bags thrown on top of one another. Fortunately we were able to find proper bag storage (for a fee) one block away through the Bounce app.

No Air-Conditioning, Noisy, Building Works and Dus

Tiny rooms, where we could barely shuffle past each other to get dressed/function. Clearly for solo travellers.

It was 26 degrees Celsius and reception informed us on the last day that the air conditioning was broken in the whole hotel. No apology was made by the hotel and there were only a few desk fans available on request and so we did not have one for the first night.

The sticky, hot, sleepless nights were compounded by the building work and noise.
We tried to sleep with the window open so as not to overheat but loud partying kept us awake into the early hours of the morning. There were also major building works going on outside of our window and so our room quickly became full of dust. On the week day of our stay the building work started up at 0630am with the crashing of glass.

Some of our friends were in rooms where the window did not open at all and with no fan! Their room quickly became hotter than outside and the hotel corridor!

We checked in at 11pm and got the last room. It was on the 4th floor, the air vent was barely blowing and the room was VERY hot. Hotels in Norway have no air conditioning and the full height windows in our room were sealed shut for safety. We asked for a different room with windows that opened, but there were none available.

We suffered.

Lesson learned. Do not arrive at 11pm and expect to get a decent room.

The hotel is in a well-placed, central location. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The room was really cramped and had virtually no storage space of any kind so we lived out of our suitcase and just about managed to fit it under the bed. We basically had to put most things on the floor because even the bedside units were too small to put much more than a glass of water and a mobile phone! The hotel information on Hotels.Com said there was a desk and chair in the room; there wasn't (because there wasn't space!). It also stated there was a laundry; there wasn't, there was just a facility in a sister hotel some 20 minutes walk across town. The staff were OK but grumpy that we didn't try to speak Norwegian, which I guess I can understand.
