The pictures were very misleading. I book hotels for family stays based on beds, very specifically I do not want a shared sofa/pull out bed. The only reason I booked this hotel was due to the multiple pictures of the family room that show two separate beds that were ideal for kids. On arrival we found the room to have a pull out bed setup, nothing like the pictures. No other rooms were available or had bed configurations like the pictures.

As a couple with an 18 month old toddler we had a fantastic stay at the Scandic Oslo City. It’s in such a great location, convenient for the train station (easy train from the airport) , walking to points of interest and public transport - the tram is so easy! We requested a cot when booking and it was ready in our room upon arrival. Our room was much bigger than expected and this made our 3 day stay very comfortable. The fridge was ideal for storing milk and fruit for our little one and having the ability to screencast on the TV was also great. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options. We would definitely stay again when visiting Oslo.

We enjoyed our stay very much, loved the staff (very helpful), breakfast excellent. We had one major issue. Being from Texas we needed a street window for cooler breeze (which we loved), but, at night too many extremely loud, drunk people from late at night till 4-5am in the morning. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Next time I would ask for an inside room and hopefully the hotel could provide a fan (for airflow/circulation)

The hotel was not air conditioned and was oppressively hot. The hallways smaller stale and smelled like a barn: The hotel lacked proper ventilation. The windows in the room were not operable. We were asked if we wanted our room cleaned at check in and we said we wanted it cleaned daily. They didn’t clean the room even once. The room was extremely small and felt claustrophobic . However the staff was friendly and the breakfast was really good. The location was extremely convenient.

Awesome place to stay, either for work or leisure!! Room is super clean and in great condition, daily breakfast is really great! Big variety and cleanly presented with quality ingredients. A special mention of the staffs working in the front desk, they can’t be more friendly and helpful! This lady, sorry didn’t catch her name, was working hard to try to get a stuffed animal out of safe that my son accidentally knocked the power out of, when she failed to do so on her attempt while we were still there, she was so kind to promise my son she would send it back to him. I know there are a lot of other staff members who were also involved in the “rescue” of the soft toy for the child, I just wanted to say how much we appreciate you all and the wonderful time we had over our 4 days stay with Scandic Oslo City! Highly recommended!

Excellent place to stay for our few days in Oslo. Just steps from the train station and a main stop for trams and busses.

The staff were friendly & helpful, the place was clean and the breakfast was a great way to start the day.

Found the room to be small, but that might just be the case in central Oslo. The room was also warm and the only way to cool it off was to open the window. Given the hotel’s central location, it was loud on a Saturday night, with the window open. When closed, no real noise problems.

Would definitely stay here again.

My first room was on the 5th floor and it was very warm. I was moved to a room on 3rd floor and a major difference. Comfortable temps. Slightly smaller but worth the trade off. Staff is very friendly. Great breakfast spread and hotel is super convenient to transport.

The best part of the hotel was its location. It is located next to the train station permitting easy transportation almost anywhere. The staff was polite and helpful. The biggest downside of this hotel is potentially very long and confusing walks to your room. We wondered down partially lit hallways with multiple turns trying to find our room. Once we got there the room was clean and functional. The included breakfast had a wide variety of tasty options. The area around the hotel was busy, but seemed safe. There was not excessive noise from the street. Near the hotel there was an abundance of shopping and eating options.

Staff were friendly amd helpful. The room was great, extra spacious and clean. Location was conveniently located across from the train station downtown. That being said, that comes with outside noise and we had two uncomfortable interactions with some unhoused individuals. The last night we were there a non profit had set up outside the hotel with sleeping bags and other items for the unhoused. Next time , I would stay at one of their hotels further outside of downtown town for a quieter experience. Overall the hotel itself and staff were wonderful.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was brilliant (and great that you can pay to make up a lunch from breakfast). The big but was that we had a separate couple staying in the interconnecting room and we could hear every word they said, and a lot of noise too.

We were beyond pleased with our stay at Scandic Oslo City! It had a most convenient location since we were traveling in and out of the city by train, and the staff and service were excellent - very accommodating and helpful. Our room exceeded our expectations and was extremely spacious and clean. We easily walked to the shopping street and town center, as well as several places to go for dinner. Breakfast was included and fantastic, which was a great help as we were traveling with our kids. Highly recommend!!

Hotel across from main train station, so easy walk to most of the sites, but sometimes the area around the plaza seemed full of trash and some street folks (not under the control of the hotel actually) Front desk staff very friendly. Room was small and lacked place suitcase and no actual closet or drawers to put things in. Bathroom had a tricky step up, and the shower especially small as it was an odd shape- and easy to get water all over the floor. Hotel seems a bit worn, and room cleaning was not the best. Had good breakfast. There were no directions in the room for ac system so we never could figure it out - room got very hot and leaving the window open made sleeping difficult due to the club on the side street that went late each night. (again not the fault of the hotel but somehting to know)

Very good stay here. Hotel was in ideal location for station, buses, trams and metro. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our first night was marred by loud music on the street until 2am. When we asked the next morning if it was possible to have another room, we had a key to another room away from the street within 10 minutes of asking, all done efficiently and with no fuss at all. Thanks to Lars for being so helpful. Our new room was also much bigger and really comfortable. Good breakfast as well.

This is a solid, clean hotel. It has a good breakfast but the staff was a bit indifferent. The only real problem it has is its location-near the train station. It’s a fairly gritty and noisy location. There’s nothing the hotel can do about this, however.

Decent place for a quick stay

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Scandic Oslo City and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay.

First and foremost, the staff, specially Albert, truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to assist with any request was remarkable. Albert and his team's dedication to providing outstanding service was evident in every interaction, making us feel like valued guests throughout our stay.

The hotel itself exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The rooms were tastefully decorated, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and convenience. The attention to detail was evident, from the comfortable beds and linens to the well-appointed bathrooms stocked with high-quality toiletries.

The dining options at Scandic Oslo City were equally impressive. The breakfast buffet was a delight, offering a wide variety of delicious and fresh options to suit every palate. The restaurant staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience to start the day.

In terms of location, Scandic Oslo City couldn't be better situated. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city center, so everything was very closed.

Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Kissen haben nach kaltem Schweiß gestunken. Fenster im Superiorzimmer konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Der Übergang vom Flur zum Badezimmer ist gefährlich. Ein hoher Absatz ist dort vorhanden und man muss aufpassen seine Zehen nicht zu stoßen. Badezimmer war auch nicht sauber duschen in der Badewanne umständlich es gibt so viele Zimmer und alles ist extrem Dunkeln und verwinkelt, so dass man das Gefühl hat, man würde in einem Labyrinth spazieren gehen. Beim Check in wurde ich gefragt ob ich Frühstück dazubuchen möchte. Ich sagte kann ich das morgen entscheiden die Antwort lautete morgen wird’s dann teurer sein. Sowas hab ich noch nicht erlebt
