The room was clean and looked nice. I wasnt happy with the temperature in the room, it was very varm in the room so i struggled with sleeping. The tv in the room was nice, but there were not many channels to Watch. I wished it was a smart tv with different streaming applications innstalled. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, wasnt worth the money.

A 3 week trip to Norway. We stayed in 4 hotels - 3 of these Scandic properties. The Victoria was recommended by a travel agent and friends. It is close to major Oslo attractions but located in a largely business area so feels less safe at night. Of the 4 hotels, this one shows its age. The shower is just a dribble, the shower drain doesn’t so the floor gets wet. The lobby coffee machine didn’t work. And, this is the only place we had to check in at breakfast rather than just walk in. We preferred the Anker in Oslo as a better location and in better condition for a similar price.

I had a courtyard facing room and It was super quiet and dark (using the blackout curtains). Exactly what I needed after traveling for 2 days. Very easy to walk to places and nearby public transportation. Staff were all very friendly.

Perfekt läge mellan Karl Johan och Aker Brygge. Vi hade ett rum inåt och det var tyst. Däremot lät AC:n en del, lyckades få ned ljudet men inte temperaturen. Bra stort stort rum att bre ut sig i och stor toalett. Lite 90-tal kakel på väggarna men nyare klinker. Frukostbuffén var suverän med massor att välja på. Rekommenderar att besöka Kon-Tiki och Fram museet, mycket intressanta. En dag i Vigelandsparken och Botanisk hage var toppen.

Requested staff to note an early checkin 5 months ago for 2 rooms, as we are Seniors and our daughter has an 18-month old. I tried to message staff on this and other questions several times over the 5-month period with either no response or \"form\" responses. After our 15-hour flight we got there around noon, and were told by Kaja that there was no early checkin as they were still cleaning rooms. Tried to escalate our concern to Manager, Mila, but found that she does not work on weekends. So we waited in the lobby with the baby and checked periodically. Continually told our rooms would be ready at 4pm. Finally it is 4pm! Guess what our rooms are still not cleaned and ready. We had to wait another 45 minutes and got into our rooms at 4:45pm. No apologies, No drink coupons or restaurant credit, they offered nothing to attempt to make our situation any better, Got to our rooms and the temperatures was 78 degrees. Seemed like the front desk clerk was on a \"power trip\" making these seniors and baby wait an extra 45 minutes. Overall it was an absolutely awful experience, especially after 15+ hours of flying. They simply did not care about their customers comfort. NEVER AGAIN! If I could have rate the \"Overall Service\" and \"Staff\" a ZERO, I would have.

Breakfast and location were major wins. However, the air conditioning didn’t work in any of our three rooms. Front desk tried to charge us extra to check in at 4p (advertised time) which was sneaky.

We’ve stayed at other Scandic hotels with a much better experience. If we go back to Oslo, we will stay at a different Scandic hotel and so should you.

Very good position for exploring Oslo, though quite a long walk from the railway and bus stations. Room was adequate, clean and comfortable, but there was no safe or even a cupboard to store things.
Very noisy some evenings with loud music coming from a nearby club. Staff were all very pleasant. Breakfast was reasonable but the lay out sometimes made it slightly chaotic

Bel hôtel en centre ville

Nous avons séjourné en famille dans cet hôtel car il fait partie de la chaîne Scandic que nous apprécions. Proximité du centre ville, de deux grandes gares, de la mairie et du Port en font une localisation privilégiée. Propreté, accueil, qualité des accessoires confort des couchages et petit déjeuner monumental sont d'autres points forts de cet hôtel.
Les deux seuls bémols que je peux relever sont l'absence d'un radiateur d'appoint, la ventilation tourne constamment autour de 20 degrés Celsius, le deuxième point est l'absence d'application sur le téléviseur et l'impossibilité de connecter son téléphone via le Cast, nous avions tout de même occupé nos enfants en bas âge avec des dessins animés en norvégiens, mis à part ça tout le reste était top.

This hotel is best avoided if you are planning to park a car bigger than a Mini as the access to the underground garage is exceptionally narrow, causing loads of damages based on the marks on the walls.
More importantly, the noise from the nightclub across the street kept us all awake until way past 2am. It was beyond dreadful. When we mentioned it to the reception staff upon check-out the female staff member was very rude and told us, laughingly, this is what it's like in all cities - it is not.
Will not come again.

Stellar location for trains, museums, nightlife

An easy walk from National Theater station which has express and regular trains to the airport; a couple of blocks (probably the closest hotel) the summer ferry to 'museum' (Bygdoy) island, where you'll want to spend all day for the array of world-class museums. A block or so from Town Hall -Nobel and National museums; the Theater and Parliament in the other direction; just a block off the main drag with all the good tram and bus lines. ,,,So, possibly the best-located hotel in the city, yet nestled in a quiet corner. The breakfast buffet is also amazing, in a beautiful atrium; the staff is friendly & knowledgeable, and the room is clean with everything one needs. Comfy bed, good lighting, spacious bathroom. A perfect stay.

The hotel's location was excellent, and the breakfast was a worthwhile expense. The staff were both helpful and professional. While there was a minor issue with the air conditioning and a lack of a readily available phone to contact reception, I was overall very satisfied and would gladly book a room again.

Very good location in Oslo, only a 10 minute walk from the station. Check in was quick and efficient and check out was the same. They have a luggage room which is very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the whole bedroom was clean and toiletries were provided. The room was super quiet and we never heard any other guests. Breakfast was good, loads of options and the restaurant was nicely decorated, very modern and trendy. Our only complaint is that although it was a smart tv you couldn’t get Netflix etc.

Excellent location, spacious room, clean, great breakfast. The reception staff were friendly.

It's lacking an atmosphere, there was no bar that you could enjoy a drink before going back to the room or on the way out. A receptionist sells you a glass of wine and you can sit in the reception area or take a drink to your room.
Our room was extremely hot, pre set aircon, couldn't change the temperature. +24 was far too hot, we couldn't sleep. We kept the window opened but the loud music at 2am kept us awake. Bed was very uncomfortable, really bad for your back.

Breakfast was really nice but there was only one coffee machine for a very large breakfast room that was absolutely packed. Waiting in a 10-15 people queue for a coffee wasn't fun. And then you get half a cup because it run out of coffee!

So, mixed reviews. We really enjoyed Oslo but wouldn't stay at this hotel again if we would come back.

We highly enjoyed our stay, the bed was huge and super comfortable. Though the room itself was kinda small, dark and claustrophobic. The only window was in the corner and overlooked an inside atrium, so no natural light got into the room. Also the dark paint color on the walls made the room feel smaller than it was. The bathroom had good counter space, the shower was a bit small as it was 2 fold out doors, which didn't stop the water from getting outside and onto the rest of the floor. TV channels were also super limited, with hardly any english speaking channels, not even CNN or BBC. The breakfast was amazing, great selection, very tasty and wonderful attentive staff. The location was wonderful, walking distance to everything you would want to see in Oslo.

The property was fresh and well maintained. Breakfast was giod. The room was not as described or pictured, no desk, no desk chair, no comfy chair or mini fridge. The room was only a foot, 40 cm, wider each side of two single beds pushed together. The room was hot, 24c, air con not effective at all and we were surprised that there was no window at all behind the curtain. Overall disappointing, better options available. Misled by room description needs amending

Worth the breakfast

We had a nice stay. Getting in the parking garage is very narrow on the ramp (garage is managed by a parking company) and $49 a day. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Many options!

Check in was quick but staff was not welcoming or informative. He just took my name and gave the key. No explanation where things were or about breakfast. Housekeeping wasn’t consistent. Didn’t have soap for 2 days. Luckily ran into them on the way back in the afternoon to request some which she was happy to get. No sugar on the second day of my stay for the tea and coffee station. Room and bathroom was fantastic, modern, clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, close to retail and food options and near the water but far away where it’s quiet.

at first, we received the handicap room without any windows. The \"window\" opened up to the restaurant... which seems dangerous and a fire hazard. They changed the room for us the next day, but I think they should possibly change those rooms.

Very convenient for seeing the sights but the room lacked many things - no drawer space, non- functioning air conditioning, no bath mat etc. Often the cleaners missed things - like emptying the garbage and refilling the soap dispenser when we deliberately left the top off to indicate that it was empty.
We did enjoy the breakfast.
