Pros: Very convenient location for public transit and popular areas. Spacious for the price, nice amenities, comfy bed, and in an area that is quiet at night. Was on the ground floor and did not have to worry about noise.

Cons: Slightly inconvenient not to have anywhere to store luggage after checkout, and they don't respond to messages through the hotels.com messaging service.

Overall, would definitely stay here again!

The check in process set the scene for the beginning of our stay at Frigner. The check in process was farcical with lots of groups of people all trying to check in & the machine wasn't working. At one point the police pulled up as there were so many people milling about on the pavement with their suitcases. It took an hour and about 4 phone calls to gain access to the property.
Once inside, the rooms were a major disappointment as they looked nothing like the pics online. The room gave off low budget student dorm vibes - only more run down looking and with a funky smell. My room looked right into the room on the corner, absolutely zero privacy unless you chose to be in darkness & keep the blinds down.
The only positives about this stay were that the shower was decent & the location is good for the city centre & transport. This was good as we tried to stay out of our rooms as long as possible as they were so grim

The property was a nice basic mini apartment that bathroom was a bit retricting as in a tight loft space
The room i was issued was on the 5th floor the only minor issue with this was the elevator only goes from level 1 to 4 so getting heavy luggage up a long spiral staircase is a bit of an annoyance after a long trip. The only other issue i had was that i was only given a single duvet and it gets pretty cold in oslo if you dont keep on the heating so could benefit from a extra blanket in the room or a larger duvet to make quests more comfortable.

Very convenient location and easy to check in out of hours. Nice studio apartment. Fan given when requested. Did the job perfectly. Good ameneties within the apartment. Only downside was that the bedding seemed to not have been changed as there was sand on our bed when we arrived.

I’m really happy with this room. Overall it’s in nice shape and a great deal for the cost. Check in was easy. The faucet needs some repair (loose but works). Really glad I rented this spot. It’s my first night in Oslo and glad this room turned out to be so nice. The kitchen has all basics like pots, table ware, kettle, fridge etc.

The location is amazing. It's within walking distance of trains, buses, trams and ferries, and also attractions, shopping, groceries and restaurants. The check-in process is a breeze and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

We were initially concerned after reading some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The apartment was spacious, clean, well located and easy to access.
Having a kitchen was great although small and no chopping board. The dishwasher was a bonus though!
We’d certainly consider staying here again.

We rented a large studio. It was exactly what we needed: nicely decorated , clean and very well located.
The only slight downside, if one is intended to cook, was the size of the sink in the kitchen: I have never seen anything so small and narrow!
Other than that, perfect.

The apartment and rooms were a bit small and cramped. No AC with windows facing south, so there is no way on this apartment to be comfortable on a sunny summer day. Bathroom shower very small, difficult to maneuver in there.
Our other family members had an apartment. In the same building and it was more spacious.
The overall condition of the common areas such as stairwells and hallways need some refreshing , the hallway smelled bad a bit like fried fish, but fortunately this did not get into the apartment.
The price was economical and this apartment could be well suited for a family on a budget or younger travelers that are comfortable in hostels.
The location next to the big park and close to the downtown was excellent, and that would be the biggest “plus” for this place.

Apartment is in a street opposite the palace. Ideally located and walking distance to everything in central Oslo. 5 minute walk from Nationaltheatret train station. 25 mins walk to Vigeland Park. Apartment was comfortable and loved having the kitchenette setup. Self checkin worked well. If Oslo wasn’t the last leg of my holiday, I would’ve made use of their free laundry setup. Definitely recommend it.

Excellent location. Room was great. Reserved for 3 people but only supplied duvet, towel and pillow for 2 people - got them on our 2nd day. Disappointed by the broken elevator - we have 3 senior citizens in our party and we were assigned a room in the 2nd floor and one in the 4th floor. The stairwell floor covering is overdue for shampooing, it smells bad.

1 bedroom flat was fine. Expected amenities were there. However, the elevator was out to the 4th floor for the entire stay, and I needed to haul 40kg of luggage up and down. The stairwell was in good repair, but with a strong musty smell. Further, my keys stopped working early the morning of check out, and I was stuck outside the unit. Support was able to issue new keys, but now I have a request for payment for an extra day. Overall, not a satisfactory experience.

The flat was in a good location for us and is small and neat. Indeed the second bedroom is so small the bed is pushed up against the wall to allow access and the wardrobe is by the front door. The small kitchen unit is well designed.
The check in should be simple but ours was a nightmare.
An intercom at the door rings through to an office. When answered the door is opened, and there’s is a check-in machine in the hallway which should be efficient. The trouble is that the intercom is not always answered and even when it is there is a cut off time after which the line goes dead and you have to ring again. Further, if it is not answered it seems to connect to the door and that opens after which the connection is lost and you have to start again. In all I had to try ringing between 18 and 20 times to complete my check in, not least because I had to check in at a different address which is a few minutes walk away and it was pouring with rain. I actually was connected about 7 times but it was chaotic. Also, the machine gives you a confirmation letter but mine was to someone else so I had to ring again to find out what flat we were in and that took several more attempts, by which time there were tears of frustration.
We were originally staying in No 5 Arbinsgate which did not have a check in machine but their email to me told me it did have so we turned up there first. Not good if there are big cases involved.

Conveniently located near Nationaltheatret station, walking distance to restaurants, attractions, parks and the waterfront--and the Spikkersuppa Christmas market and ice skating rink. Facilities were in generally good repair. Beds were comfortable! Apt is in a quiet residential area, but is affected by construction on Arbinsgate (many areas of Oslo are undergoing large construction works), and we heard noise from that starting around 0800 on weekdays. I contacted the office by email with various questions a number of times during our weeklong stay, and they were always quick to respond. The main issue we had was very slow internet, which was problematic for my time-sensitive work communications. The issue was largely rectified after a few days time. Overall, our stay at Arbinsgate 3 was pleasant and suited our needs well, and we would stay here again.

It was updated and very clean. Our room, however, was on the first floor by the courtyard. Workmen were smoking and talking all day back there so there was no privacy. The apartment needs more lighting as it is very dark, especially when closing the blinds.

Enjoyed our stay. It was in a good location so we were able to get around to a number of tourist sights and shopping quite easily. the self check-in was awkward as machine was very slow and we had trouble getting into the lobby to do it. Luckily a kind lady came along and let us in. The only problem was the lock on the door wasn’t working properly and we had to fiddle with it to get it to lock each time. We couldn’t call as we had no cell service for Norway.

Weather was uncharacteristicaly HOT, Norway typically doesn’t have A/C, yet we had to ask for a fan...which was delivered w/in 2hrs.
Listing says breakfast is included, it is NOT, and if you want it you must order by 1900hrs. This is NOT a hotel problem as they are very clear on-site. This is completely a “Hotels.com” issue .

Cozy and interesting space. Simple furniture and generic design but a peaceful room up in the rafters of the building. Check-in machine and instructions were a breeze. Apartment was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very basic but included everything we needed. Efficient and clean kitchenette. A regular table and chairs would be preferable to the rather wobbly high-top and stools.
Location was absolutely perfect and the breakfast was very nice, with high-quality ingredients — a lovely touch.

It is accessible to many major attractions. It is also very easy to check out. I stayed there for one week and were only supplied with one small bottle of show gel, one small bottle of shampoo, and a small piece of soap. I asked the Service Office and was directed to go to a nearby grocery store to buy my own supplies. I have traveled intensively. This is the first time that I was directed to buy my own show gel, shampoo, and soap.

This small newly remodeled one bedroom was perfect for an overnight stay. Could be a little cramped if you’re planning on staying for a week or more. Beautifully remodeled with the highest quality finishes. Feels like a luxury condo.

The huge advantage of staying in Arbins Gate is it's right downtown so very convenient for getting around etc. The description did not say that it was a Studio though, so I was disappointed. The main problem I had was the cooking plates didn't work. They were very slow to respond and tried to \"fix\" it twice by just flicking the main fuse in the hallway. It lasted about 1 hr and then it blew again. I complained and they gave me free breakfasts for my last 3 days. Overall not great although the staff were very friendly.

Excellent self contained flat . Very clean and spacious; nice central location for exploring oslo and beyond. Good size kichen so enough room to cook your own meals if you are on a budget. The superamarkrt was only 5 mins away.

I ve never done an automated check in before but it was very easy and staff are easily contactable if there was an issue.

A lovely, cute little room. I had a relatively small room, but it was just me so wasn't an issue. It was well heated with great furnishings, with comfortable beds, chairs, and a great shower.
There is no check-in desk here so you have to check in at another Frogner House property. There is one on a parallel street a 5-minute walk away, but this is a self-check-in. It was convenient, the only issue being the room number did not flash up on the screen for very long, and so I had a bit of trouble going from there. Fortunately they are very easy to contact on Facebook Messenger, though if you do not have internet access this would not be ideal.

Chech in place was 1 KM far a way from apartment.
Our apartment in 5 th floor with no elevator (elevator just up to 4 th floor).
Every time we take a shower water flood over
Living room there is stair on it + wood log for holding sealing.
There staff came for inspection when we were out and they didn't close the main door.

Our apartment was spacious enough that we did not feel cramped, nice kitchen area. Quiet location, yet walkable to transportation. We spent 5 nights here & the apartment amenities were fine, except for the WiFi. We reported the situation to the property management folks, & they were able to correct the weak & unreliable WiFi signal. It worked VERY well after that. We were pleased overall with our stay here.
