The hotel is well located in an upscale neighborhood close to Ayer Brygge. We reserved a room with 2 beds and there was no mention in the description that one of the beds was a chair sofa bed that needed to be converted by the guests. There was a strange odor when you turned on the sink faucet, the TV had no signal, and there was a loud creaking noise from a gate outside. Otherwise, the Filip self-service hotel is renovated, tastefully decorated, and comfortable.

App for entry difficult to use - me and several people stuck outside while I was there. Roof windows in my room had no blinds Sun set 22:43, sun rise 03:54 and it never actually got dark. Very poor sleep until I bought an eye mask. No restaurant of any kind.

Quite an unusual place

Very unusual venue. Not really a proper Hotel. Everything is done with the mobile phone/internet and there is no easy way to contact someone. Everything could be ok if you just need a place to sleep (nice rooms btw) and you are arriving late in the afternoon and departing in the morning. But if you need to check in sooner than 3pm or leave a bag in storage. It’s simply not possible.

Hotel Filip was modern and a short walk up from Aker Brugge and the water.
The room was spacious, as was the bathroom.
The toiletries were of a high standard.
Our only criticism was the TV, as we couldn’t work out how to use it, but that was an us problem:)
Highly recommended.

Shockingly beautiful interior and quiet location given its proximity to busy road and cheaper prices than more central hotel locations. We were so happy staying at Hotel Filip! Beds are super comfy, rooms are very spacious and facilities are updated. Remote check in was seamless. Only complaint is housekeeping never came to our room. Location is walkable despite appearing kind of out of the way on Google Maps. Thank you Hotel Filip, we will be back!

No cover/curtain/blind on window above the door so summertime « nights » in Norway can be bright - not sure they’ve thought about it.
Absolutely no way of having a left luggage facility or information.

Otherwise a very clean and quiet property but I am not going to stay here again.

Overall, this was fine, but there were some issues.
The room was clean and comfortable, and fine as a base for exploring Oslo.
There is basic cooking stuff there if you want to self-cater, and there's a Mega Coop supermarket 5 minutes away in Aker Brygge. There's no kettle, though.
However, checking in was really difficult as the confirmation email with the access code wouldn't send for ages. It took an hour to fix, which was a long time after many hours travelling. The woman who sorted it was helpful and polite, but it was a frustrating time.
Oslo was experiencing a heatwave (30 degrees), and we took ages trying to work out how to make the air conditioning work. Having phoned the helpline again we were told it only applies to the bathroom, which isn't clear; and we never managed to get it to cool the bathroom down.
There's a lack of information in the room about what there is, how to do things. E.g. the TV has no tuned in channels, and the helpline said it was only there for guests to stream stuff from their own devices, but it would only do audio, not video. There's a QR code with the room guide, but it was has very little information. Not having staff on site means it's not easy to navigate when you first arrive.

Visited Oslo for the Bislett games and hotel filip was approx a 25 min walk from stadium, it was also 10 mins walk from nationaltheatret station. Location is very safe, good sound proofing and easy to access as info was provided in a timely matter and all in all I would return. I would maybe suggest a corner shelf in bathroom as it was hard to balance basic toiletries on the sink and there was no other space.

Very comfortable beds and clean room. The coffee maker is a Nespressó and the coffee is good. Their shampoo, body wash and soap is one of the best I have been offered in 25 year traveling experience. The kitchenette is useful to prepare breakfast early. There aren’t many breakfast places nearby and hotel has no restaurant or cafeteria. Is a high tech smart hotel. Not my favorite system. Service was very limited and it takes time to get requests fulfilled. Make sure you order via email early am for extra toiletries and coffee or else, otherwise you will have to go buy your own.
Be mindful this hotel has no A/C and if temperature is 65 Fahrenheit and above you will have to leave windows open and you will have to try to sleep with city noise. Public buses pass by the hotel regularly and the maintenance crew from next door park start using their trimmers and blowers at 7:30am onward…
The elevator was broken for approximately 48 hours and we were in the 3rd floor.
Location is good as well. I beleive there could be better value/ service offerings out there.

An excellent choice for our trip to Oslo, brilliant value, clean rooms and I found that having no reception desk was useful for being out late in the city. Location was good, 15 min walking to the centre, sea is near. Room was spacious, clean, bed super comfortable, dish washer, coffee maker...very satisfied. I was surprised by completely absence of any employee but regarding that, I concider that availability to customers should be much better. Still, no response to my email (and I checked out 5 days ago). There is a phone number available but it is not Viber or WhatsApp number. You should take in consideration that you have guests from abroad. TV interrupted constantly and it was impossible to watch anything.

Basically, the hotel was clean but the staff was horrible. We were making a little sound and they came to our room did introduce themselves as part of the hotel or provide any reason for them being there. They searched the room, bathroom, and even under the bed asked for my ID to prove I rented the room. It was scary and completely inappropriate for them to do that. How they handled this was awful and honestly would recommend to stay away after this truthfully scary experience.

Fantastic hotel and stay in oslo

Thank you Hotel Filip for making our 40th birthday weekend special.
Positives - The hotel is modern, fantastic and has the best location. The rooms are spacious and one of the comfiest beds ive slept on. The location is a 5 min walk from ayer brygge which is the new updated area in oslo with so many restaurants and bars and isnt far from all the attractions.
Special mention for thor the manager who was always there if you needed any advice or assistance.
Only negative is that a bath mat for the shower would be ideal as the floor in the bathroom got pretty wet after a shower.
Overall, this is a superb hotel and one that i would strongly recommend.

Safe, comfortable and clean accommodation with great facilities available liking washing machines, gym and sauna. The hotplate/stove wasn’t working when we arrived but after calling to report it, they came and fixed it the next afternoon. Would highly recommend booking here

The room was big enough for the five of us, modern. The beds slept lovely and the futon was also oke. We would eadvise the hotel to clean the closets on the top 😀. Als would we advise to split the light buttons. If you turn out the light now, the both rooms are dark. We ate in the 'garden', wich was fine. I cooked us a simple meal. The appartment was near the port area, i loved it.

But: no humans on property, code was never sent 24 hours before, meaning I had to stay outside the hotel with my family for almost 45mil until a family that was staying in the hotel open the door for us. And even after that (another hour) , it took another couple that lives in the building to call the owner and that’s how we got the codes for our room. They have elevator, and one microwave next to it. I believe there is a laundry machine in the building but I didn’t see it. Nobody cleans the room, meaning the tiny trash can will fill up quickly, the tiny tiny bottle of body soap provided (for 3 people 5 nights) will be out before that. And you may run out of toilet paper! We got lucky to see one day two ladies who where very kind and gave us extra towels. The room is very small (you hit your head with the roof several times) but the location is great , near to all touristic attractions, coop market, clothing stores like H&M, restaurants, busses, tram..

Not AT ALL what we expected... We were supposed to have 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Instead, there was a small room with 1 double bed and 1 armchair convertible to a single bed... For the price, that was very deceiving without any assitance in the hotel. No room cleaning, no changing of towels. I will not come back again and do not recommand. There are a lot of good hotel around for the same price.

Loved our stay at the Baltazar Apartments! 5 minute walk to the Aker Brygge and the lovely frogner neighborhood. The sauna was unfortunately closed at the time that we stayed but overall the room was gorgeous. It was nice feeling like we were locals in Oslo, staying in such a charming apartment. My only feedback would be to include the ability to order a taxi from the lobby as most hotels have this.

Room and en-suite were of a good standard. The towels provided were very cheap and thin. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided, but no hand soap. TV was not tuned to any channels and could not be connected to the wifi due to the restrictive \"hotel mode\" that the TV was locked into. Luckily we were not in our room too much.

Located a short walk from Aker Brygge and multiple restaurants and a short walk from the tram stop. This apartment has no front desk but sends you a pin code that you can use to access the building and the room. There was an issue with not being able to access the laundry room at first but this was resolved. I would recommend this apartment building to anyone staying in Oslo. The room was very comfortable and of good size.

Var en katastrofe, for at sige det ærligt.
Først kunne vi ikke komme ind med det \"smarte\" ubemandede låsesystem, da der var problemer med lokation og frigive nøglerne.
Virkelig ikek særlig smart at lave et system baseret på browser og internetforbindelse alene.
Hvad hvis telefonen løber tør?
Vi endte med at bruge 30 min på telefonen med kundeservice i røret og 3 forskellige personer.

Vi havde bestilt et værelse med 3 senge og god plads i rummet, som det fremgik af annoncen.
Dobbeltsengen var meget smal. Den ekstra seng var en stol som kunne slåes ud....

Der står rummet har et dining area - der var to stole (til 3 mennesker) og et lille rundt bord. Vist lidt et stretch at kalde det et dining area.
Opvaskemaskinen var desuden ikke tømt da vi modtog rummet.

Ikke en behagelig oplevelse og pris matcher slet ikke komfort. Virkelig skuffende ophold på et døgn heldigvis.

Ottima struttura in posizione centrale ad Oslo, staff molto attento, camera molto confortevole con angolo cottura macchina del caffè e bollitore e cialde di cortesia. L' hotel ha anche un delizioso patio esterno nell' area comune. Palestra e sauna in struttura ma non posso dare giudizio perché non ne ho usufruito.

Nytt og fint. Ypperlig plassering like ved Aker Brygge. Godt renhold. Rommet var lite, men helt greit hvis man ikke skal oppholde seg der. Har også strykebrett, som er et pluss. Koselig rom, som fremstår som nytt.
Nærmeste parkering er Aker Brygge/Tjuvholmen eller Solli P-hus. Sistnevte tar 6-7 min. unna til fots.
Ingen resepsjon, men veldig enkelt dørsystem.

No e sin hotel. Tiene un concepto de no tener recepción ni personal. No hay aseo en la recámara por la duración de tu estancia. El tema de no tener recepción complica las cosas como no tener un lugar para guardar las cosas. El tema de abrir la habitación funciona, pero es complicado obtener las llaves y cuidado si te quedas sin batería o datos en el celular.

Om du kommer till hotellet med en urladdad telefon så kommer du troligtvis få sova på gatan då det inte ens finns en ringklocka på entrén.

I övrigt så är rummen fina och moderna.

Smidigt och praktiskt

Smidig check-in. Rena och praktiskt utformade rum. Det enda jag saknade var någon plats att sitta och jobba, men behöver man inte det finns det inte mycket att klaga på.
Ett plus för gratis nespresso + wasa sandwich.

Veldig bra rom.
Elsket ekstra markise utenfor vinduet så rommet ble helt mørkt når jeg skulle sove. Minus på stedet var 3 ting som dro det litt ned: Speilet i gangen var under et taklys som ødela hvordan man så ut- burde stått annet sted. Måtte ta stol og se meg i speilet på badet pga lyset. Dorullen var hengt opp nesten tomt og så ut som det hadde vært vått og tørket ut og lagt på toalettholderen- ruglete… Så jeg bytta ut. Siste er at det luktet fæl gubbe cologne og \"gubbehud\" på rommet. Rommet var rent og fint- vil nok bestille igjen…

Helt ok

Veldig lite rom men gikk greit da vi kun var der for å sove. Gulvet var skittent da vi kom og hver gang noen trekte ned på do så hørte vi det kjempegodt når vi lå i sengen. Helt ok hotell, greit med kode
