We stayed in a large studio for 3 nights on the second floor. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean and accessible. Showers had good water pressure and ran hot, the bathroom was large enough to move around, had a fan, large windows, and closet space, and great L’occitaine amenities.
The only minor thing would be the shower stall, it’s quite small, though common in Europe.

The location is lovely, and walking around frogner is a visually stunning experience.

No one in reception area during 2 day stay.
Locking the door needed explanation.
Breakfast left in bag in front of door without any preference asked i e eggs & cheese sat outside door for 3 hours. We don’t eat either.
Outside noise continued during night.
Very, very disappointed with Frogner House.

We loved this area of Oslo—so cute and close to everything. Very quiet. Our room was perfect—aside from the cot which was uncomfortable for our grandson. The bed was great. We really used the little kitchen too since there was a grocery store nearby. It wasn't hot and that was good because I don’t think the room had air conditioning. Check-in and communication was super easy!

This was a very nice hotel and the most spacious room with a kitchette. Love the black outs on the windows and the ability to fully open the windows for airflow. Best part is that the room had a small fan!!!

I have stayed at this hotel perhaps 15 times over the past 5-6 years. Perhaps more times. Maybe over 100 days all together. I would think they would want to think about me as a VIP guest and reach out and ask how I am doing and maybe offer something or even ask for feedback directly. It is a bit impersonal. But I like the area and it is very convenient for me.

A little disappointing.

The room was comfy and spacious, and the location of the property was very good.
Sadly, the drainage in the wet room was terrible.. if the shower was put at full power the room wood begin to flood immediately, even on half power the room would flood after a couple of minutes. The property is obviously aware of this as the bathroom had a huge squeegee in the corner for residents to remove the water with.. but maybe it would be nice to sort out the actual problem.
The ‘high speed’ WiFi was actually extremely patchy.. zoom calls dropping out, streaming very slow. Particularly during the day, it would disconnect and reconnect constantly which caused problems as I had to work on my laptop in the room.
The kitchen was tiny (nice big fridge though).. I had to put the coffee machine on the floor to use it. I’m 172cm tall and I couldn’t reach one of the cupboards!
Lastly, the window had only blackout curtains and no blinds, so you were either a fishbowl or had to keep them closed. Little improvements like this would make the room feel cosier.

The bathroom lacked a safety rail in the shower, which I consider dangerous because I am over 70 years old. In addition, the electric water heater had a cord which was so short that it could not reach the electrical outlet in the kitchen area. I had to call the desk and ask for an extension cord, in general, there were be no not enough electrical outlets in the room. on the positive side, I thought the room was very beautiful and spacious. The young women who worked at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

The apartment is lovely! The building and surrounding area are very attractive. The location is excellent! Communication leading up to our stay was fabulous.
The only negative we found was that it was a little hard to fall asleep for two reasons. 1) you have to leave the key in the wall cardholder for the electricity to run and as a result one light stayed on all night. It was necessary to keep the electricity on to charge our phones overnight, and 2) the tram runs in front of the building well into the night and they are loud if you need to keep the windows open overnight which we had to do as a result of warm weather.
BUT, we would stay again at Frogner House because the place is really lovely.

my room is next to the street and with the heat and the hotel has no AC! We couldn't open the window since there is a Pub across the street and there is a night club nearby. We need to open the window to cool the room since this unit has no AC , but there were so much noise outside. Both nights we couldn't sleep until 2:30Am. Wouln't stay there even for free.

Really appreciate the ladies in reception as they were super helpful. My partner and I had a wedding to attend to so we needed to check in earlier than 3PM, which was accommodated in a very kind way. The flat itself is very spacious and has everything you need for a couple of days. Moreover, there is a 7/11 on the corner and other places to eat around the area. It’s easy to get around by either bus or tram.

This was a perfect location for my recent stay in Oslo. I love to walk, and I found everything that I needed within walking distance, such as a wonderful yoga studio, grocery store, cafe with great coffee right downstairs, and restaurants (fantastic Indian restaurant just a block away). It's a lovely neighborhood, and Frogner park (where I went running a couple of times) is nearby. It's also walking distance from the central area (main train station) and the palace park, but if you want a break from walking, there is a subway station nearby. I had a little kitchen area in my room, which was very convenient when I didn't want to go to a restaurant. Highly recommend this location!

I booked an executive suite and my room was on the 5th, top floor with two very small rooftop windows. The room had no natural lights come in, the heat was unbearable, even during the night I couldn’t sleep.
It was a nightmare. I’m tall, 6’3, I couldn’t stand up in the room, the roof were too low.

Lovely apartment hotel, but I had booked a room that was supposed to sleep 3 people, yet there was only a double bed and a couch. The area is fantastic, great big lovely window, great little kitchenette and an overall very comfortable feel. A bit disappointing that they charge an extra 65 dollars for housekeeping and that they didn't give you any extra capsules for the Nespresso machine after day 1.
Breakfast was okay, a sandwich, a croissant and a fresh juice.

I'm sure service during the pandemic is a little different than usual, but overall it's a really really comfy place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and they always answer your requests through phone or chat.

I like it’s close proximity to cafes and grocery stores if you like to cook for yourselves. There is a paid option for a cleaning service, which we didn’t use. I thought I was ok with this but didn’t think about towels. They do have a washer and dryer though. The property is also right next to H.J. Gate tram stop which is really convenient. I would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed in the large family room. From here on in, I'll choose to stay here instead of at hotels. The quality of the room is first class, the area is perfect just behind the Palace. A 10 minute stroll to the city center, and public transportation just around the corner that will take you all over the city (including for sightseeing). Cafés and restaurants just outside.

I was very impressed with the beautiful building. The room was pretty and clean and had a great view. I was pleasantly surprised to find two laundry rooms on each floor with a washer and dryer. The rooms were quiet and the Nespresso machine was also a nice surprise. The kitchen was also well stocked. The bed was warm and comfortable. I slept great! I will be back! :)

Nice size apartment very well located, close to stores, restaurants and transportation.
Pros: Close to the NationalTheare Train station = One single train from the airport to the apartment + 6 minutes walk. Next to a food store and several restaurants around. Close to several bus stops and main tram 12 that goes downtown and the port, nice bed and kitchenette with kitchen tools, fridge and stove, luggage storage and free washer and dryer (didn't use them - just buy the detergent), free coffee in the lobby
Cons: Automated check in/check out (There is still people on site during business hours if you need them though), weekly cleaning (this can be a pro if you don't like the maid cleaning daily). no safe box, heater in the ceiling is automated - hands off and can get the room too hot and get cooking smells in from other apartments, WiFi is fast, but measured. I exceed my daily quota by backing up my pictures in the cloud
Overall was a great stay. I would definitely stay here again. It was a great experience and the restaurants around made it very convenient. I didn't buy the place's breakfast

The staff were nice and the room was exactly as pictured. The sofa was uncomfortable because the cushions kept slipping forward. The laundry works and is free but it was a bit annoying. There are 3 laundry rooms with one washer and one dryer per room on the ends of the building and separate floors. The building is like a line. The stairs are in the center. So if someone uses the dryer while your clothing is in the washer which kept happening to me, you have to go to the center up or down a floor and back to the end for the laundry room to find another dryer. It gets annoying.

Goods location to buses and tram. About 10 minute walk from train station beside palace for trains to and from airport. Not allot of food around, about 20 min walk to downtown area of few minutes by bus. Only complain was not enough outlets in room, Had one in main room and had to disconnect lamp to use it and then one on wall in light in bathroom. There was two others above sink on another light. Good rooms, comfy beds and windows that open fully and quiet neighborhood. Great pizza place right across street.

This is a good location in a nice area. You have buses and trams nearby. The closest is the 12 which stops outside the Coop supermarket on Neils Jules gate. This tram connects to Oslo central station via Aker Brygg and goes on to Vigeland sculpture park. The 21 bus connects with the Munch gallery. The Royal palace park is a short walk.

Coffee shops and a bakery nearby. Plenty of convenience stores open late. Coop is a comprehensive supermarket. Very good restaurant in Skovveien called Godt Innafor.

Small kitchenette, but well equipped. Microwave and two hot plates. Good sized fridge. Crockery and cutlery for four in a two-person apartment.

Was very clean on arrival. Felt maintenance had slipped a bit - two window blinds not working properly and bathroom drains needed plunging to remove gunk. Note that there isn't any housekeeping provided during your stay. Would have liked to be able to get fresh towels without heavty surcharge.

The automated reception worked fine, but it isn't something I like.

Good location near tram, restaurants, and shopping, but then restaurants and noise are right outside the window. Check in and check out was automated and quick. Free washer and dryer was available, just buy soap. It was also close to a grocery store. I would stay here again.

Great Location for Oslo

The Skovveine 8 was very convenient to the public transportation. There is a grocery store close plus several places to eat. We did visit during a heat wave and it was very hot in the room since only one window would open. The building was very quite except street noise when windows were open. A coffee pot was provided but if you need more than filters than the small allotment provided it is up to you to purchase them. The Wifi was good but don't expect to watch any TV if you speak only English. The staff was very helpful with information about using the bus and going to sites.

Though a noisy room when I asked for quiet rooms, the location was great and the apartment was adequate. It would be useful to have somewhere to place clothing as in 'dresser' and more towels, pillows, paper products should be available. But staff was helpful in getting us more of what we needed. Check in can be much improved. Location was wonderful with lots of restaurants and accessibility to transportation.

Good set up, decent apartment. Silly big problem the sheets in the bed are too short. They don’t fit correctly they are too short. As a trip advisor senior reviewer I am surprised that a seemingly good company would allow such an easily fixed situation to exist. The top sheet on the bed constantly shifted off the matress, why this problem? This problem that caused my wife and I to every morning to find ourselves on the raw matress. Strange? I have to give it a poor rec because of this since the bed is the most important part of the stay. When we asked the rep about the room service she casually said “service would happen when you leave”. Bad!!!

Well placed for the tram and a pleasant area with cafes and small supermarket close by. It was easy to reach all the places we wanted to visit. The apartment could have done with one or two extra plugs especially one near a mirror so that I could have seen what I was doing when drying my hair! My daughter and I both agree that we would stay here again.

The only issues we had is that our dishwasher was broken and then our kitchenette drain wouldn’t drain. One of the girls downstairs didn’t seem to know her way around and had to google everything and didn’t really seem to have an answer without searching it on the internet. I just think as a suggestion to have staff we’ll informed about the area so tourists and others who want to know get quick answers and feel confident about going to the right place because they were given a response by a well informed staff member.

These studio apartments are great, just beware they don't clean your room or change your bedding even for lengthy stays. They get a negative mark since they refused to clean my room and change bedsheets after I extended my stay for 5 days after having stayed a week. The receptionist said I had to clean it myself since I did not change rooms when extending my stay (!) There is neither any vacuum cleaner or floor or bathroom cleaning supplies in the room, or pay nearly the equivalent of an additional day's stay to have housekeeping clean it. I am sure I can find cleaning supplies somewhere in the building, but I just thought that was terrible service. Everything else is great and as promoted.

Very quiet area and easy access to any transports

Situated at a nice spot and quiet area. Trams are right outside the hotel which takes you to Vigeland park. Walking distance to the harbour which have nice restaurants for some drinks and meal and a boat trip to visit the museums. The restaurant opposite the hotel does amazing pizza.
Overall, the experience has been quality.

It was very decent house apartment but unfortunately I end up having no electricity in my room when I woke up next day and there are no staff to reach out. As I am on business trip I could hold on till 8am till some one come and fix the issue. I believe that my bad luck.

Comfortable apartments. Parking is a nightmare

Expected more going in but in general the apartment was a good sized place. All amenities they advertised were right on. The only disappointment was the fact that the rooms don’t get cleaned daily unless you request it. Furniture was old looking. I’d give them another chance on any future visits to Oslo.

A comfortable base in central Oslo

We booked this stay on way back from a round trip around New Zealand and badly required a relaxing base for a day or two.
Frogner House fitted the bill
Our own mini apartment centrally based in Oslo. Comfortably furnished and fully equipped.
We would certainly recommend it

Lovely hotel, lovely breakfast and service. Only gripe was that the room was a little small, but it didn't detract from a great stay. Good location too, right next to the train station, 5 minutes walk from the airport bus drop-off and a 10 minute walk to the marina.
